This is the worst teacher I have ever known to teach. He thinks you should have learned the material in the class before so are therefore not allowed to ask questions....If you do, He will yell at you. He doesnt care if you drop cause he has tenure.
This instructor does not think of his students as human beings. He has a lack of respect for them. If you ask him a question, he belittles you for asking it. The entire class that I was in was afraid to ask a question. And yes, he's tenured.
You must stay away from this TENURED teacher. His methods are unbearable, he is unclear, and not helpful. He is angered by any questions
As everyone has said before, he does not like questions. He is one of those professors that walks into the class, opens his book and just starts lecturing for the next hour then dismisses the class. If you interupt his lecture, he does not like that.

Yes, all the comments are true he is a jerk.But, if you do all your homework, all of the problems are on all his test. So he can be an easy A if you make the effort. If you are serious about learning take Professor Hunt. I was satisfied at the end.

He is the worse teacher ever, my class size dropped from 30-6. He has no respect for anyone, he belittles students and constantly says he can fold his arm because it is too easy. And if you ask question they wont be answered, my finial grade after tutoring twice a week and all my homework done was F
He is rude. But very clear. He adds 10 points to every test and tells you what problems are on the tests, or similiar to that of the test. It's easy to get an A. I don't recommend this if your an overly sensitive person. He's matter of fact and a bottom line kind of guy. Lighten up guys.

This professor is an absolutely RUDE ! He is the Ghengis Khan of the math department! He has no patience for people who have LEGITIMATE questions. Run, run, run for the hills and don't look back. Hunt's on the hunt!!!!
He obviously knows and is more comfortable with the higher math, so he should stay there. Zero social skills, minimal patience and heaven forbid you ask a ?. His teaching is just like his sister's. Hmmm... If you need clarity and patience, this IS NOT the teacher for you!!!
he's very good teacher. the class is not hard if you just follow the instructions. he's very helpful prof. if you do not understand something just go to his office and he'll help you. he's funny too. sometimes he gets angry on students but it's just funny. if you get to know him his very cool.

I suggest taking him in the summer session. He explaines and went over what kinds of problems were to be on tests and answered any questions in an efficient manner.
Writes stuff on the board and then erases it after quickly mmumbling through an explanation. Don't waste you time or money!
Not a good professor for students who are taking math 0300-0303, he teaches as if we already know college algebra forgetting that we are in math 0300-0303 for a reason. If you do know algebra more power to you. My whole class 0301 is failing his course this semester.
Do NOT take this professor if you aren't good at math. He talks to himself alot and NEVER ask him a question in class. he bounces from subject to subject and his favorite saying if "you can just fold your arms." if he asks a question in class don't attempt to answer it, he will answer it himself!!
Dr Hunt was the first math teacher I ever had who showed me how to do well in math classes: Do the homework and pay attention in class (don't skip class, either) and everything else will sort itself out. He can be abrasive, but if you can get past that, then you'll see that he's a good guy.
He is very WEIRD!! He will yell at you in class even if you have done nothing, and he also talks about himself in 3rd person all the time!!!! Never ask him how to do a problem, he thinks you should already know!

Seems to know what HE is talking about, but does not care if YOU know what he is talking about. This class is for anyone that wants a refresher class in algebra. If your out of a 0303 math course avoid him like the plague.
The bulk of these comments are absolutely true! Don't take this guy, because you likely will not get through the course. He scribbles on the board so you can't take decent notes, he gets off subject, and talks to himself, not the class.
This guy is the worst prof. i have ever had in college. Anyone who says they did well in his clas obviously stayed after class for "extra credit." My class went from 25 to 11. He sucks. Doesnt explain and hates students. I made a B only because i didnt let his dumbass talk down to me.
Dr. Hunt is so horrible at teaching. He uses the same methods that he was taught in the 70s at UT. He is that bad! I had to drop my summer class with him, bc he didnt help me once! One person passed his class in the spring semeter. Pretty sad, huh? DONT TAKE HIM! Ur wasting ur time and money!
In all fairness, algebra is not an easy subject for most people and professors are not there to hold any bodys hand. He let us know exactly what was going to be on exams for anybody doing the homework and taking notes. He also wrote out problems step by step, spelling procedures out clearly. There was some yelling involved.
do your homework cuz you won't pass just by going to class. write the problems EXACTLY like he does, I got half off problems I got right just because i didn't write it like he wanted it to. goes off subject a lot so it's easy to get lost. makes you feel retarded when you ask questions. on a positive note he sounds almost just like bill cosby.
One of the worse teachers I have ever taken. Has no business teaching and clearly should retire. He hates his job. Talks to the board not the class and scribbles to himself. Don't waste your hard earned money on this guy. SAC keeps him around to make money off him failing students. In a full class of 25 only 7 or so will remain.

He's okay. He is a strict professor but it is not hard and this comes from a person that finds math hard. He is clear on his lectures. I recommend having a tutor, he does not like questions. i got a B and never did any homework. stick it out and pass the final. I failed the first three tests(i didn't study at all) and I half ass studied for the final and got a B overall
Math doesnt come easy to me but i think Dr. Hunt is a good teacher. No he is not approachable and its hard to understand what he's writing, but if you are able to follow along on the first day and understand what he's talking about than take the class. He may scare you away but grow some balls and deal with it.

Professor Hunt is an easy teacher. Just do your homework, don't talk in class, and show up. He wants to teach people who are interested in learning, not slackers. And his test questions come right off homework. But i warn you, he comes off kinda harsh, and doesn't like to explain previous material. Don't ask questions he's already answered.

Mr. Hunt is a really good teacher. He can come off as rude and mean but he just doesnt put up with the bull some students put out. if you are persistant and interested he will help you out.

This professor is just a bad professor. I had to take this class because of the accuplacer. I understood what he was teaching, it's just he didn't explain it that well to the class. I can honestly tell why 90% of his class drop's out. I also dropped out because he really sucks!
Dr. Hunt has an inferiority complex and a personality disorder that causes him to belittle students when questions arise. The class has asked appropriate questions at appropriate times, yet he feels the need to cut the question short assuming he knows what needs to be answered. He teaches beyond the scope of alg and in my opinion should step down.
This professor is terrible! He never clearly answers a students' question, and gets annoyed when asked anything. He makes errors constantly during his lectures. There were 21 students enrolled in his class day 1, by day 14, there were only 9! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!

if your a hands on learner he is NOT for you. if you learn by example good luck, he's pretty fast and hard to follow but you can do it if you try.
prof. hunt is a good teacher. many people give up because he isn't one to give an individual person help during class and will often get angry if asked a question. I copied his notes and reviewed them over and over and i passed all my tests with A's. lectures/notes are very very helpful. most example ?'s are on the tests.
He needs to slow down when explaining. He's very smart but some of the students weren't so it's extremely difficult to understand.
Absolutely horirible! By far the worst professor Ive ever had. If you ask a question he acts like you are challenging him and still doesnt answer the question. He marked every question wrong if you marked on his print, saying we had allot of nerve to do that in the first place. Terrible.

prof. hunt is not that bad. he is too smart to teach a remedial class though because he expects people to know everything. as long as you copy down everything on the board you will do fine on the test. if you don't have thick skin i wouldn't recommend him though.
He is such a character. Goes off topic and does not make the problems easy to understand. Rather add extra steps to confuse you. When you ask him questions he makes you feel that you are stupid. I do not recommend him unless you have background in math or ability to go to the math lab.
Good teacher. Never gave me problems when I asked questions. Most of the people in my class that complained were whiny teenagers. If I were him I would have said the same things to them. Take him for 0303 but just make sure you come to class everyday and do your homework. I made over 100 on all my tests.
He's very easy to figure out. If you ask a stupid question he makes you feel stupid. Do your homework every question on your tests will be on it. If your bad at math rework your homeowork and memorize how to solve them. Most that complained were whiners. EASY CLASS DO YOUR FREAKIN HOMEWORK, YOU"LL SEE THOSE PROBLEMS AGAIN>

He takes attendance in the beginning of the semester and stops toward the middle (probably due to the half of the class that drop) about 8 ppl walked out the first day. i personally don't have a problem with him. he covers the material and tells you exactly whats on the tests. just come to class and don't ask stupid questions!

counts late ppl absent, dosnt answer questions, asigns 100 prob home work. expects u to learn from home work but u cant do it cause he didnt teach you and thing. makes you feel stupid when you ask a question. shows you a million ways to do the same problem, covers like 5 problems for 50 min, the only goood thing about him is he dst go past the hr!

Cal 2 is a pretty hard subject to grasp, especially trying to memorize all those integral rules, but prof Hunt shows u how easy cal II can be. I would take him again for CAL III because his philosophy is that if you study it will show on the test, so his tests are pretty similar to thehomework assignment(which are not due).grades r based on tests
People that love him are mostly math majors everyone else will probably write a bad comment.He is good if and only if you have a solid math foundation. If not it is going to be a horrible experience, trust me. He tends to stroke his ego and condescend for the first 20 min of class. Intimidating at times, best of luck.
I took him for Algebra and he was very helpful. His tests are right from the homework and he lets you ask questions about the test the class before it. He works most of the evens for you and you do the odds for homework. He's really great though whether you're majoring in math or not.

He's an amazing teacher. He works evens during class and odds are homework. If you attend class and do homework you'll do fine. I got an A :) I loved it when he told off people for walking out early!
Dr.Hunt is a crazy difficult prof. His teaching styles arent anything I've seen and It didn't work for me at all. If you're good at math then go ahead and take him. But if you're on the fence about math then DO NOT! I repeat DO NOT! Take him. It's so hard! The tests suck! The worst school experience I've ever had! Good luck
I was looking forward to an opportunity to really delve into Algebra with a Ph.D. holding Professor of math. Dr. Hunt was not that opportunity. He is extremely egotistical and has no interest in helping anyone on questions in class unless it presents him with an opportunity to stroke his ego whilst humiliating a student. How nice. STAY AWAY!
Dr. Hunt is a no-nonsense, get straight to business professor. He lectures the duration of the period but rarely asks for questions and tends not to clarify problems. His teaching style is for those who either have a strong grasp of math or are fast learners. He's not mean, just not particularly personable, and he does tend to talk to himself.

Someone asked a question and he said"thats a stupid question, i will not insult my intellegence" Very hard lets you out of class right on time never early and he talks sooooo monotone just plain boring, no laptops can be used and you'll hear him say " you better recognize" ALL the TIME!!! Dr. Hunt is not helpful at all. He grades his test black and white. He rarely gives partial credit!!! He says one thing then does another. He yells at students when they are simply asking a question. He says he knows he has tenure. He is abusing his tenure. Only four students passed his class last semester and about the same number will pass.
He seems to know his stuff; however, the class itself was very boring. All he does is take even number questions from you hw & do them on the board in class. If you don't learn from examples, you might have problems in his class.
I find it a joke that this man is still teaching. If you don't have time to commit to the math lab forget it. Defiantly in it more to look for reasons to fail you than to help you pass. Passed the class but not without a ridiculous amount of time in the math lab. STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS GUY AS POSSIBLE!

Was warned to stay away from this prof., but took him anyway because felt confident about my math skills. BIG MISTAKE! I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt, but I quickly realized that this professor should not be teaching. Very intolerant and harsh. Is quick to deduct points because he is a perfectionist. Knows his stuff, but stay away!

He comes off as harsh and mean. Sometimes he gets of track but all test problems come from homework. Today there was someone not taking notes. He left the room and came back, and campus police showed up. This guy was forced to leave by 3 police officers because he wasnt taking notes. I feel the police have more important things to do.
if your willing to do the work and keep your questions to after class time in his office and be polite hes not to bad he has his quirks but thats the same for all proffs take notes and show your work on exams if you worked the prob correctly but got wrong answer he will give some credit but is a stickler for the details above all be respectful

He doesn't teach, he yells. He takes off points for crossing zeros and sevens (no effin joke). The way he 'explains' the problem is very hard to follow, but then he turns and says "don't use the book method. I don't agree with it." Also you can't show your work on tests.

If I had not already taken this course in high school I would have been completely lost. I only used this course to refamiliarise myself with the material. If you are any good at it you are better off just using the book to teach yourself and only listening to him for how he wants the work done.
I have never been good at math, at any point in my life. Dr. Hunt showed how to work all the problems needed to pass the exams, and his final was problems that were on the previous exams. I would definately take him again, since before I took him and my 302 prof, I never made higher than a C or D in Math. With him, I was making B's

This teacher barked at students who dared to ask questions. Any questions were treated with contempt, and students who dared were humiliated. This teacher started out with over 30 students, by the end of the semester there are only 5 left. I for one will be speaking with his boss at the end of the semester.
Was absent 7 times through the semester. There were 2 grades in his class, A or F. That's it, nothing in between. Always says he can't help you if you as a question that refers to a previous math class. Rude and inconsiderate.
He is not an easy professor! He has his own way of teaching, gets a bit to get use to. He truly knows math and is an expert at it. The man is a human calculator! He gets his test questions from your text book. He assigns numerous problems and selects a few. His assistant is a carbon copy of him. lol really! got a C
Dr hunt is a very hard professor,but he couldnt of made it easier. with test of 12 ?'s all coming from hmwk assg(with the answers in the back of book)what else can you ask for. I hate Math and suck at it but I got an A in Dr Hunts class. He is definitly tough, but if you are respectful, show up on time and not leave early you will be fine. He was out many times this past semester cause his mom was very ill, and as far as only an A or F, not true. Just do your homework, all test questions come from it. I got an A.

The class is not that bad if you have not been away from math that long. He does go by the book, but is impossible to ask questions about anything with him belittling you for not knowing or understanding something.
In my opinion, his not that bad. Yes his facial expresions when you ask a question freak you out, he seems to be mad when it not, but he is a good explainer and if you pay attention and do your work or like he say "COPY AFTA" you will be ok.

I passed this class because I studied the book, and got help from my sister who is a Math professors. He goes off A LOT on showing you how to do it this way, and that way, and then end up saying don't do it like those... Literally there is no room for question, because he would make you feel stupid. He know his stuff, but forget about his class.
Did not explain anything, he simply did they problems on the board but didnt explain how he got to any of the answers. He doesnt explain what terms mean and uses terms we didnt understand. Bottom line he was not a great professor, and he would get angry when students in the class asked questions! It was uncomfortable for all of us!
Hunt is an awesome teacher. He has a PhD, he studied during segregation, none of that stopped him from success. He expects his students to STUDY and to be good students. And usually when he freaks out the person is asking a dumb question, or they weren't paying attention.The tests r STRAIGHT from hw! If you are a math/engnr major take Dr.Hunt
If you're not good with math then do your self a favor and stay clear of this professor. Any questions you ask beware because he will humiliate you. Oh and don't write on his "original equation " because even if you get the problem right he will count it as wrong. I took his remedial class and he was all over the place, hard to follow and RUDE!!

Professor Hunt could not have made this class any more simple. He made it very clear that all the exam questions would come from homework found in the book. To make it even more simple the final was basically all the previous exam questions. Study all of this and you can easily pass this class. He was even kind enough to not require lab hours.
I found Dr. Hunt to be extremely organized. This professor reveals the nature of mathematics; he knows several ways of performing problems, he reveals easier ways of solving them while exposing common mistakes. I found Dr. Hunt to be fair; he treats students like adults, not little kids. Don't sleep in class or interupt during lectures...
Hunt's class was so easy. If you show up and do your homework, you will get an A. He even lets you use your homework and notes on the test. There's no way you can't get an A.
Dr. Hunt is brilliant but not a good "teacher". The art of teaching is my based on a professor's smarts. He has been teaching for 49 yrs. His organization is weak and scattered across the board. His examples are over complicated. Nice man. Interesting conversation but not a good teacher unless you are math smart and can learn by the book.
Dr.Hunt is a great professor. The way he teaches is smooth and understanding.. but he only gives 7 question test.. and if you just miss a couple & don't directions there go what you learn down the drain.. take at your own risk..

This class is a joke because nobody can ask for help without getting a negative response. Mr. Hunt is very unorganized and makes math over complicated. Indeed, Mr. Hunt has a very low passing rate.
He is an old school teacher, and only knows one way of teaching the course. When you don't understand something, he just repeats his instructions louder and with a crappy attitude. If you are not good with math, try a different teacher.
Mr. Hunt is the most hardest grader. He is rude and will put you down in front of class. His organization is so messy that going to class for lecture is useless. A student almost got in a fist fight with him because of his attitude. Also, no one passes his class LOL.
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS! He is not there to help you. If you do not understand he will put you down in front of everyone. By the third week of class, we had only 5 people and started of with 17. Most of us barely passed.
I'm in his class now. If you go to class, listen to lecture, take notes, go home practice and do your homework, above all study...you will pass this class. I currently have an A. Yes he is intimidating but if you listen to lecture and pay attention u won't need to ask questions. You can always see him during office hours. Not for the weak in math

I used to be fairly bad at math prior to taking him. I actually found that his teaching methods were excellent. Yeah he's old and really really grumpy, but if you listen to his lectures and do the work from the textbook you'll get an A no problem. Also, try not to ask stupid questions and you'll avoid receiving an icy scowl.
I am currently taking this class and I must say it's not easy. if you are just down right horrible at math, do not take him. I honestly think he is a good teacher. everything he lectures about is on his tests.. he even gives you problems to complete and he picks a few from each section to be on the test. come to class, take notes and you will pass.
If you go to class, and take notes, you'll pass his class. He's a great teacher, and if you stay committed he has no problem from changing your grade to an A- to an A+.
This class was the hardest class I have ever taken! He can't explain things very well, he makes things very complicated and too difficult to understand. He's very disrespectful and rude. Worst math teacher ever.
He is very sour and rushes his lectures. His class is boring. He takes attendance but it won't affect your grade if you miss a few classes. There are only 4 tests which aren't very difficult. The online homework on MyMathLab is easy. He will snap at you for asking questions (unless you're a girl then he's really sweet). Would not take again.

If you need things broken down then you will not pass this class. He fly's through the lectures.
This man is EXTREMELY rude. We went from a class of 20students to about 7. Listening to his lectures were near impossible- I had to have headphones in with music blasting to tune out his horrible voice. He's rude and very unhelpful. He's clearly just doing this for a paycheck. His lectures are basically just him reading from the book, no attempt to connect with students at all. Never considered dropping a class until this one.
I took his class and he's very rude. You can't ask for clarification without some sort of rude comment from him. Also, you have to solve a problem just like him. You can't work the problem a different way, you'll end up getting it marked wrong on a test. Over all, I passed his class with a B, but I still would not recommend him to anyone!

I took Walker Hunt in the Spring in a FLEX, it was a challenging task. His lectures are boring because he basically talks to himself but, pay attention and you will learn. Take it serious believe me; do the homework online and it will help you, do your best on the quizzes and you will pass. If you take this course you an take on any challenge.

Do not take this professor. He always looks upset and will literally not let anyone talk to entire class time. All he does he go over problems and the classroom just watches. He doesn't want you to have your phones out and will have incredibly difficult tests everyone usually fails. You will need your textbook because he goes over every other one.
Don't take him. He's rude, and he gets worked up over the smallest thing. He doesn't make much sense and he's back and forth when it comes to the lectures. Hard to understand.
Someone was looking for a pen in their bag during class and he threw the textbook against the table and ended class early. I think this man has serious issues please if you need to drop him, I highly recommend it its much better than letting him fail you.

He gets super offended if there's even a quick whisper in the class, stops lecture & has at times walked out in the middle of lecture. Does not help one-on-one, he sends you to tutoring lab. Lectures are him working problems on board.

If I could give him 6 points i would, hes so awsome like hes so rude when you ask a question its great. I learned so much getting embarrassed in front of the whole class for asking a simple question. To top it all off hes such a cool teacher that he talks he mumbles to himself because he just radiates too much awsomness.
hands down worst professor I've ever had. pretty sure everyone failed because we felt we couldn't ask questions, and if we did he'd literally yell at us. did not learn anything. gets mad when you don't work problems EXACTLY like him & will count it wrong even if its right, if not done HIS way.

He is the worst teacher I have ever had and did not even bother to introduce himself on the first day of class. Does not care about the success of his students and always gets upset for little things. He makes mistakes in his lectures. This man is awful and has the worst personality. I dreaded going to class everyday because of him.
Probably one of the worst prof. I've ever had. Wouldn't even call it a "class", it was just him doing problems on the board and talking to himself. Tough grader too- it was only his way or points taken off. Almost half the class had dropped out by the end of the semester. :)

Just stays at the board, does not answer our questions properly, he took off points on everyones test because we dont not use his method and would not let us explain why we used the method that was easier for us, goes off topic and then yells at us for not passing -.-
Does not respond well to questions, borderline condescending. He obviously loves math, the main problem is he isn't very accessible. Also he's prone to go on tangents which leaves students confused.
Literally does nothing but read from his textbook and talk to the chalkboard as if there should be no trouble understanding the material being covered. If you ask a question, be prepared for a minimal answer followed with somewhat of an insult for asking the question. SAC needs to do students a favor and convince him to retire already. Good luck!!!
He asks for feedback, but if anyone says anything he BLOWS UP. Don't glance at your phone, ask a question, or grab anything from your bag. Very picky with how work is shown and will dock points if it's not exactly like his. Only does math problems on the board, talks to himself and doesn't teach. Save yourself a headache and go to another class
Teacher is very lecture heavy, theres no hands on. He faces the board a lot and sometimes messes up on the numbers and gets corrected by students but will get mad if corrected. Sometimes blows up randomly over little things. Lots of online homework. (that is relatively easy)

He is an amazing mathematician, but he isn't the best at teaching or answering questions. Yeah, he messes up sometimes, but he is human just like us. Do not take him if you are faint of heart or if math is not your strongest subject. If you take his class, pay attention to what he teaches, take notes, study the textbook/tests, and use lab wisely.
There's only four tests that are graded throughout the semester if you bombed the first one you're done.
He does examples on the board for each chapter, but does not teach you how to do it very well. The tests are not too hard, but you have to know what you're doing. The homework is clear, as it is online, but takes a while to complete. If you could get another professor, I would recommend, but if you have to have Hunt, you need to have drive.
I honestly had no problem with Professor Hunt. I actually found him amusing. He does talk to the board a lot, but as long as youre paying attention you should do well. He retaught some things that were covered in my high school math classes, but some of those things I didnt understand until his class. You should come prepared to take notes.

To be honest- I did struggle through this class at first. Its tough! But he is a great mathematician. He was always available if I needed help or was stuck and would always assist after class. He is also hilarious and has an old school no nonsense attitude, so if your easily offended or need to be coddled, he's probably not the one you want.

Felt like an online class. The only reason i went to his class was because he occasionally gives test answers. I didn't understand his accent and he writes cursive that's very hard to understand.
Talks to the board, doesnt like to answer any questions, you learn everything from my Pearsons lab and thats not enough, doesnt have structure to the class and he doesnt care if he hasnt gone over the sections when the homework for it is due you have to figure it out. Doesnt use the examples on the homework he uses completely different ones.
There comes a lot of controversy when it comes to Hunt. He is a smart man and knows what he is talking about; but he simply does not have the patience and responsibility, a teacher should have towards his students. He will get mad if you point out his many errors, will get mad if you ask questions. Do yourself a favor, and avoid his class .

I took Prof Hunt for my first math class in my college career. I expected math to be a difficult subject for me, but it turned out that the hardest part of the class is dealing with this miserable man. Expect to be put down, made fun of, talked down to, or in the best case, ignored.
Every day you meet you will have homework after which is easy if you follow the examples of the online book which will show you how to solve all your problems and can easily get a good grade. One thing is to expect from him is to teach yourself at times because he doesn't go over everything that's gonna be in your homework.
83 years old and killin it. Come prepared to take notes. He doesnt really let you ask questions, but will ask you what problem youre on and will walk you through it. 3 of my classes have been him helping me do my HW because no one else asks questions. I wish I had known about "ratemyprofessor" before signing up with his class. I felt like I learned better in this class on my own. He can be confusing and he rambles ALOT throughout the class. He is a very personable professor either. We had no idea what he looked like the WHOLE semester. I would not recommend taking him...
1. Too much homework, be ready for up to 55 problems per section of a unit. 2. Doesn't care about your time. 3. Too much coursing about sample things that students don't know. 4. make sure you are fully free to take his class ( you need to spend a lot of time). 4. Headeach.
Do all your homework and run through the problems again and again. You will see them on your tests. He's a character. He's kind. He's seems to be upset a lot but he's not. It's just his personality. Focus on your homework.

I did not like this professor at all. You have to mostly try and teach yourself because of how his lectures are. He can be very confusing.
He'd argue with one kid in the class trying to ask clarifying questions, rambled off topic often, and focused on info that wasn't relevant. Also wasn't tech savvy, insisted on by hand arithmetic. No participation needed though! I'd recommend showing up w headphones and watching a khan academy lecture in class (bc attendance is taken at random).
I asked for clarification during his lecture and when I expressed that I still didn't understand he told me I should be ashamed of myself in front of the entire class. I wouldn't recommend taking his class if you struggle with math.
Everyone should avoid this professor if they can't figure out how to teach themselves because he's confusing and doesn't explain things well. He became angry when you correct his mistakes and accuses you of not paying attention. The only way I was able to get a passing grade was by teaching myself using examples from the Connect Math website.
Don't let the ratings get to you. He can be irritable. Try not to ask "dumb" questions. he knows what he's talking about and is willing to help you. lecture heavy. homework becomes classwork. Study the material, and he will not surprise you on tests. Caught him after the final in the halls, and shook his hand to bid him farewell.
I'm truly glad that I got a chance to talk to Dr. Hunt. He may be serious when it comes to math, but deep down he is a really nice guy. We discussed on math advice and he is genuine. I'll miss him greatly. RIP Dr. Hunt. Thank you for your years of math help.
