He's a good professor, but I always seem to fall asleep in his class. I think it's because he teaches for 2 1/2 hours without taking a break (bleh). He cares a great deal for his students and has nothing but their ineterests on his mind for the most part. His tests are very content specific. Anytime you see a list of something, remember it.

Tough course, lots of reading. He makes it easy. The best prof by far and gives lots of real life examples and full of stories. Also gives lots of practice for his midterms, breaks them down into chapters and the types and numbers of questions from each chapter, and gives old midterms. I mean this guy is the best. You should get a minimum of a B!

GEtting great marks in his class is so damn easy if you come to class and listen to what he tells you. His stories are definitely helpful. His TAs are awesome as well.

Wally is excellent. He is a very easy prof. Even tho he is boring, and leads onto a tangent with meaningless stories, he is still great. I am definitely taking him for MGT401. Do not take Neil Wolff or Joe Trubic. Wally is much better.

Excellent professor! The best one at Ryerson for business no doubt about it. He teaches the material, but also loves to add his own personal anecdotes and stories. Additionally, he is a big time joker. I can't count how many times I've laughed while in his class. Gives good hints for tests and final exam, plus connects with the students very well.

By far the best prof i've ever had in my life! This is the first class wher i actually wanted to be there...even though it was a morning class i could easily stay awake. He makes you wanna learn..and you will also pick up some good life lessons too. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I actually found his midterms hard! many students in his class gettting around 65% on them. Hes a great prof with lots of wisdom, but the class isnt as easy at it seems when it comes to the midterms. Really funny

Awesome prof. I highly recommend taking him for GMS 401. He clearly tells you what is going to be on the midterms. If you present to him for the plant tour assignment. your pretty much guaranteed an A+. we didnt even finish our presentation and he just stopped us and gave us an A+. TAKE HIM!

I knew there were amazing inspirational professors that existed out there but never came across the luck of getting one- until I was enrolled in Wal's class. He know exactly what the students are thinking, tells them like it is, amazing real-life stories, natural sense of humour. You for sure will want to attend every single one of Wally's class.

Wal's world is a place you want to be in university. He speaks more on the matter of real life lessons than what the bland textbook has to offer. The man is enthusiastic to say the least, he loves participation and talking to the students. Watch our for tests though, a lot of the material isn't covered since it's mostly textbook based.

Great Professor, had him for GMS 401 as well. He's very inspirational and gives good life and business lessons. Wall's knowledge is Golden. This course itself is not as easy as GMS 401. You can still get a good grade, but you need a good product idea and group. The project is a lot of work, very tedious, and takes time.

Wally is one of the coolest profs ever. Had him for 401 and 528, and he was amazing. Got 80's in both classes. Wal is the dude. He gives great lectures (he has awesome experience and perspective) and his tests are fair. It's easy to get a B in this class, but getting an A/A+ is difficult. Most questions are super straight forward with some very tricky questions. Textbook is mandatory if you want to get an A (you can read the summaries). BELL CURVE REAL :)

Wally is arguable the best professor in TRSM. This course is basically like a grad level course and essentially the whole course revolves around creating a brand new product. Basically to get an A (aside from 2 take home tests), you need to have a good product, so choose your group wisely. Wally is amazing, inspirational, kind, funny, and wise man.

Wall is amazing. He's about making that Do-re-nmi ($). He'll tell you exactly want to expect on the midterm. He give you a practice midterm from the previous year, DO IT. There is one group project, chose your group wisely. The final was a bit harder since it was a common exam, but it was definitely fair.

Extremely nice guy with a wealth of knowledge he enjoys instilling into you. He cares more about teaching than grading, and treats everyone fairly.

wally legit surprised me, first class. this is not my major and at first, I was dreading taking the class. once I heard his passion for the class and how it basically relates to all trsm majors it was fine. HE GIVES BONUS MARKS-so go to class and participate. he gives marks from midterms back very fast and lets you keep the questions to study from.

Wally is an amazing professor. He wants you to do good and will do everything in his power to get you an A+. His tests are super easy and he gives practice tests that are very similar to the exams.

BEST GMS401 PROF. I never studied for any of the tests and go over 80% on both. SUPER CHILL. Gave us some of the answers for the test too. You can sit anywhere do your own thing, he cracks jokes while the students are doing the test. BEST PROF for GMS401. I would def take him again if I can.

Wallace is the best prof out there for GMS 401, he cares about his students and makes himself available almost any time of day. He knows what he's talking about and gives very simple and clear instructions for projects and tests. The course itself is not too hard, but Wallace makes everything easy to understand. Such a cool guy but lectures are boring because often he talk about stories for 40 min & needs a better mic. Tests are fair & make sure to get a good group & location for the group project because it can be a pain. Final was really random questions. Overall not a hard course & you'll probably laugh in lectures because he's just something else.

The course in itself is pretty straightforward. Wally makes the course enjoyable, bringing personal anecdotes into lectures. He tells you what will be on tests/exams. There is a group project worth 20%. If you have him in a big lecture hall, sit close to the front because it could be hard to hear him at times.

Took GMS-401 With Wal. It was an amazing experience. He always gives real-world examples and shares his experiences from working in the field. The plant tour group project was very fun and I always looked forward to attending his lectures although they can belong sometimes. The textbook was used minimally. Tests are light as long as you attend.

Really good prof

WALLY IS THE BEST! Dr. Wallace is absolutely an amazing professor who wants you to get that A in the course and does anything he can to make sure you pass! He tells you exactly what to study and gives tons of hints! Tests and FINAL are SUPER EASY!! Wish there were more professors like Dr. Wallace, he stays back to talk to students. WALLY UR A GEM!

Wal is absolutely amazing & is one of my favourite professors at RyeU. I've taken 2 courses with him and it's been a pleasure having him as a professor and mentor. He does everything to support his students & ensures that they are doing well. GMS528 is a great course, especially if you possess an entrepreneurial spirit to invent new products.

A true gem. One of the best profs I've ever had. Almost had me considering majoring in global management (hell no), but an amazing prof. His teachings are very clear, grading makes sense, incredibly understanding, shall I go on? Ryerson should keep him for as long as they possibly can.

The absolute GOAT of professors! Wally if you are reading this, you are THE BEST PROF EVER! He is extremely knowledgeable about anything and everything business related. He is also the most genuine prof at Ryerson and truly cares about his students. His assignments are actually applicable to the real world and are not a waste of time. 11/10 prof!

Wally is one of the best profs at Ryerson. I have taken 4 courses with him during my entire undergrad. Wally brings real world experience and will debunk textbook theories, which is refreshing. He cares about students. He's hands-on in his teaching, so if you prefer memorizing text or a traditional prof, he isn't for you. Easy A and hes inspiring.

I cant say enough good things about this professor. He is so insightful and wise. Hes the only professor that makes me want to wake up for a 9am class. He will teach you things that will DEFINITELY translate to outside of class. So much practice material is distributed and its quite easy to get 80s and 90s. And he gives bonus marks like crazy :)

Great professor, tests and projects were very straight forward, would take again!

2 Midterms 20%, project 20%, final 40% super easygoing class and light content, don't need the book as Wal provides great notes and summary, never used the book and, did super well. WOULD TAKE AGAIN!

Wal really cares about his students. I had his class at 9am and still went to every single one because he gave good life advice and was always gave good hints for his tests. His tests r super easy if you show up to the lectures and he is an easy grader on assignments

Wally's very qualified and experienced. He is super caring and accommodating, always makes sure everyone is doing well and not stressing out. He is a fair marker on the group project and his tests are fairly easy. Course was well organized with lots of resources that help you succeed. Informative and straightforward lectures. Overall great guy.

A literal gem. So patient, empathetic and cares so much about his students. He offered his phone number in case you were ever stuck and all of his tests were easy if you did the work. Bless his heart.

Dr. Smith is by far the best professor you can have in the entire university. He has a tremendous amount of real-world experience, and his lectures are extremely enjoyable. He genuinely cares for the students and gives a lot of bonus marks and almost every single student got an A in his class. His assignments are the best. Take any class with him

He's one of the best profs at Ryerson. He is so knowledgable and he actually talks about real-life experiences. I seriously learned more from him in this one course than I have in at all my courses at Ryerson. I seriously love attending his lectures, he makes 8am's worth going to. TAKE HIM any chance you get, you won't be disappointed.

Wal was a great prof. He made his class enjoyable for the most part and didn't test us on too many things. Our entire mark was made up of 3 things, two individual assignments (PowerPoint with voice-overs) and a final group PowerPoint. He doesn't like reports. His grading was a bit unclear sometimes, but I feel he was a very fair marker.

One of the best teachers I've had at TMU. If I could return, I would take all my core electives with Wally because he makes the course exciting and worth your time.

Prof Whistance was the best prof I had at Ryerson/ TMU he was really good at engaging with the students and involving really interesting personal life stories and how it reflated to the material. He was always good at responding to emails in a fair manner. I just graduated and he was the best way to finish of my GMS major.

An INSPIRATION! I took his class bc I saw his ratings. Best choice ever. He doesn't use textbooks or old slides, he makes everything himself based on his lived experiences being incredibly successful in the industry. He is inspiring me to do and be better, and genuinely is the kindest, best prof I've EVER had! His assignments help you learn irl too

One of the better profs at TMU. Consists of two individual assignments (35% each) which were fun to complete and one group assignment (make sure to get a good group). Not a difficult course, if you put in effort you'll do well and gain valuable knowledge. He also gives opportunities for bonus marks. I definitely recommend taking a course with him.

Hes a good prof. lots of work to adn you have to pay attention in class but hes an easy grader and if you follow his instructions exactly youre garaunteed a good mark.

If you can take one of his classes do it! As long as you pay attention in class, you are guaranteed a good mark. He gives out random bonus marks if you participate in class discussions. Make sure you have a group for the group project and you will be set for this class.

Wally makes the class exciting and worth the time. Attendance is mandatory, but it's easy to stay engaged thanks to his real-world examples and approachable teaching style. Unstuck study was a game-changer for test prep - highly recommend it alongside the free textbook.

One of, if not the best prof at TMU. Extremely passionate about teaching, and makes the mandatory 3 hour lectures fun and engaging with real-life experiences and examples. Very easy course with clear and easy assignments (no exams or midterms). Highly recommend taking 701 or any courses with Prof. Wallace.

Easy course, simple assignments

One of the best professors at TMU hands down. He is the textbook. Lectures are mandatory as you receive participation marks. 3 assignments worth 30% and 10% for participation. 2 of the assignments are individual and the final is a group project. As long as you follow the steps to do the assignments, you are guaranteed an 85%. Great professor.

Nice prof but has a big ego disagreeing with the textbook practices, and rather teaching his own opinions. He gives extra credit if you participate and tells you during the lectures what's going to be on the exam and what won't be. His slides however ran up to like 100 slides long sometimes and he rushes through them. Also very disorganized D2L.

Chill prof. Assignments are heavy but practical (e.g., redesign a product, make a recommendation). Rare to score below 80%. He appreciates effort and exceeding expectations. Pick a good group for the final project—it's a lot. Attendance is 10% of your grade.

Fantastic prof and very helpful. You'll get an A+ with him. Great in-depth material and notes for studying.

he was very engaging. it's clear he doesnt just want to teach you, but he wants to set you up for the real world. his lectures were interesting. group project is easy, make sure to get a good group. exams are no trouble if you attended class

Awesome prof! Wall is an amazing guy, really cares for his students and makes lectures fun/engaging. GMS528 with him will definitely go down in the books as my favourite class at TMU. 10/10 highly recommend taking Prof. Wall!!!!

The quality of education Wal and Paolo provide is something I never thought I'd receive at a university. He goes far beyond what any book could teach, and each lecture is extremely insightful. I wish he taught more classes; I would take them in a heartbeat. Thank you for everything, Wal. You are truly one of a kind!
