Mikolajcik is my DAWG!! He is the only professor @ Solano that cuts the students some slack! All you have to do is turn in a certain number of assignments in by the end of the semester. TAKE THIS CLASS FOR AN EASY A!!

IT'S SOOOO EASY! If you are thinking about taking the class, just do it. There's virtually no work, no tests, and you hardly have to even show up. It's boring but an easy A.

One of the nicest, most down-to-earth, friendlist, easiest, most understanding teachers ever! He understands students, and is willing to give them a break. He gives you a certain # of papers to do, and if you turn them in by the end of the semester, you're guaranteed an "A." He doesn't worry too much about attendance, and you watch tons of movies.

A very laid back teacher. The class pretty much consists of watching videos and then turning in a number of assignments to get your A. The class itself is a little boring, but he makes it so easy to do well.

I cant believe the was someone who gave a 4 for easiness. This class was so ridiculously easy it should be illegal. Easiest 3 credits ive ever received. And the "copy , paste" reports on composers was such a joke. haha, he needed to make it seem like we were doing some work i guess. Easy class, helps bring up the GPA too. JUST TAKE IT

Do I even need to say how easy it was? From the previous 16 reviews I'm sure you can figure out that Mikolajcik is by far the easiest teacher at Solano. Just come to class, watch a few videos, listen to a few lectures, and write a couple of short bios on some composers and there's your A!

Contary to popular belief... Come to class! Teacher is full of information and very insightful. Do all your work and you will get an A. Don't take lightly his intellect in music you can really learn a lot from this professor especially if you LOVE music. Great class to take amongst your hard courses.

Every comment on here is true. Just a little advice, dont go just 2 days out of the semester thinking that he wont know youre gone. He does! He has note takers that keep track of people that are there on a regular basis. So, dont miss too much class, instead, go there and do homework for another class. ps. DONT BUY THE BOOK!

I heard that you could go to class once or twice and get an A. So I did. And I did get an A. I felt guilty though... I hear that he is easy like that until he gets in trouble for it. Then he is strict and will keep an eye. Then he relaxes the next semester. I would feel him out first before not going.

Omigosh! This teacher is awesome! His class is easy, easy, and can I say easy. No kidding! I downloaded Moonlight Sonata into my ipod, and learned that their is more classical composers out besides Mozart and Beethoven. If your interested in music take him, if not take him anyways because his an awesome teacher!

He is soooo easy! All you have to do is show up. That's all I did to get an A. I took him for Music 13 also. I also got an A in that class.

If you need to fill the fine arts requirement, take Mikolajcik. Even if you have to make changes to your schedule to fit him in, do it. Your GPA will thank you.

If you are a serious music major and plan on taking this to really gain more information on music history, this is not the class. Super easy, but all he does is put in movies and doesn't come back from his office until the end of class. I was looking forward to learning some new things, but I was disappointed.

Easiest class ever...and that's not an understatement. Show up to class every now and then to show face and do the 1 page biographies and you're golden. Taking this class is a no brainer.

Walt tells amazing stories and one will learn alot from this class. I would like to join his steel band but I have no time. He showed us that anyone can learn how to play a musical instrument.He understands music and even a idiot will like enjoy it.

Super sweet man. I absolutely adore him. Music is his world, and he is ABSOLUTELY willing to bring you into the music. I LOVED this class. You barely have to go to class, but when you do, he always has something interesting to say.

I didn't believe all these comments about a teacher being this easy but it's true.And you don't need the book, even for the online class. Just do a few assignments and once your grade says A it will stay an A. I didn't do any of the exams and I still got an A!! 120%...seriously!

This class is a joke. You dont even have to show up. For the papers, if you even want to do them just to feel a little more comfortable in your grade, just copy the info from wikipedia. No final either. Told us the week before not even to show up. Take him, and a another class at the same time. Double credit

the hardest part is showing up to the boring lectures. but this class is seriously a piece of cake. tries to tell you attendance is mandatory and no late work is allowed. i took his music8 online and music 13 on campus at the same time. THE ONLINE CLASS IS SO DAMN EASY. boring material, but VERY EASY.

i went to class for the first 4-5 sessions and that was it. i turned in the 16 papers in the last week of school, checked my grade online, and it was an A. easiest**** ever.

I would highly recommend this teacher for this class. I took the class online and was able to complete all of the work required in 3 days and receive a 105%. I would recommend that you do all of the work asap because there are no dates that are set every week which is extremely useful and uncommon.

This class was pretty easy. There are only two due dates per semester and those are the only times he grades papers. EASY EASY!! Nice guy when I needed to talk with him. I took it online so it was even easier. You can finish the class in one day if you want to. 100 points extra credit available making it impossible to fail.

I took the online class and I hate to say it but this was a somewhat easy class. Honestly, if you have a heavy workload and need a good grade take this class. He is very nice but there is quite a bit of work but it only needs to be turned in half way through the semester and at the end. I would recommend him to anyone.

Not as easy a everyone says it is but he is a great teacher. There are 6 units with about 8 assignments in each unit. just do all of the assignments and you are guaranteed an A. Really nice guy who will help you with anything.

Just wow. This is a super easy class online. There is 6 units with a couple assignments and a test in every unit. It is a "go at your own pass" and really easy and fun. To be honest he did not even grade all my stuff and I missed a couple assignments and still got over 100% . Take him if you can, his space fills up easily.

Cut to the chase, do the assignments(easier than High school PE) you get an A. The only way you can fail is if you're really trying to fail. The final is a concert review which is easy, he even gives you about 3 months to do it. Do all the work & You'll surprise your parents with your first A. BTW textbook not used so you save $

there are about 50 assignments the whole semester. There are 6 due dates but they are all open so if you want to get ahead you can. He gives you credit just for trying so its very easy but there are a lot of assignments. Didn't buy the book, only used it as a reference once for some songs to listen to so dont bother buying it!

Cake walk there's no way you can flunk this class. Easy A, nice guy, laid back you will have to listen to music and write about it but online class is a breeze...

This was an awesome class to get some pre-reqs out of the way. It's an easy "A" as long as you do your work. I was dreading taking a music class, but this was much better than I had expected. Learned some interesting things throughout the semester and some of the assignments were actually fun. I would highly recommend Professor Mikolajcik!

I took him online his instructions were pretty clear. Just do the work and you will pass his class. I learned alot from his class from the different music genres, it made me appreciate more music that I never would have thought to listen to. There is extra credit at the end so if you need it, it does help.

Asked for musical analysis w/o proper teaching of how-to. Use Google and YouTube like crazy. Make the effort and u will pass. I got 100% on all assignments. Book was only helpful, mildly, on one or two assignments. I bought it for $1.

From what I understand, he is strictly an online teacher. So theres that. Textbook was reference only, heavy assignments but grading is VERY VERY Easy. Easy A!

This was one cool professor. Although it was all online he was Very laid back. There are a lot of assignments yes but very straight forward and easy to complete. You can tell this professor has a deep passion for music! I would def recommend this class even if it's just to fulfill GE requirements and I wouldn't hesitate to take it again.

Overall the class was not my most most enjoyable, I had MUSC 013 which I felt was helpful as an intro to this class as you will be doing analysis on musical excerpts and he does not do a great job of explaining how to do this. expectations aren't clear, however, I passed with a 100% so that says something. Do the work and you will get a good grade

Not a tough grader at all. I literally had 100 percents on all my assignments despite how I slacked on some of them. Easy A, definitely recommend. Although, I took this during the summer so it consisted of 6 assignments per week but as long as you turn it in on time and follow all instructions you will get an A

Be prepared to watch a lot of YouTube videos, listen to lots of music & write about them. Your papers do not have to be too in depth, he just wants to see that you did the assignment. He is very laid back & his grading is very easy. He teaches on-line only now. This music class really got me interested in the history of music! I learned a lot!

This class requires a lot of reading and writing, but the teacher posts the modules at the beginning of the semester so you can go at your own pace. There are still due dates, but they are very reasonable and if you have any questions, he will get back to you the same day, or no later than the next day. Overall a really good class to take.

I took this online class during the summer. There was a ton of papers that were needed to be written and lots of youtube videos that needed to be watched. He gave you a week to turn in your lessons and you are able to work ahead so that was nice. As long as you are good with time management you will do fine in this class. No late papers accepted

I enjoyed this online class. Great opportunity to expand my knowledge of different styles of music and musical contributions of diverse artists. I would definitely recommend this course as a solid general education course.

Professor Mikolajcik truly loves what he teaches! Multicultural music was an incredible class that allowed me to learn so much about the history of music as well as grow my taste in music. While he does give out a lot of work to do, he gives you a reasonable amount of time to complete everything. Remember to manage your time and you'll be fine.

Honestly the easiest class at Solano. I was debating taking music or cinema to use as transfer credit, and Im SO glad I chose music. This is my second music class online with him, and i would take it 100 times again. Take him if you need an easy A

Mikolajcik is a super nice guy and truly goes out of his way to give students a chance. There are lots of assignments for each unit, but as long as it is clear you put thought and effort into doing them he will give you full credit. Take Mikolajcik for MUSC 13 and/or MUSC 8you wont regret it!

Get ready to read, and watch multiple YouTube videos! He is an amazing instructor, but the work load is outrageous. Or maybe is just because I took this class over the summer lol but the work is easy so no worries. I didnt buy the book is quiet hard to find and pricey and Im doing just fine lol

I passed the class with a 103% without the book and working a hectic full time job. Tons of papers to write during the summer semester, but easily manageable if you deliver what he asks for in each assignment. He is not a tough grader at all and appreciates what you share in your assignments. Fun class, learned a lot about music.

Just humor the man - really, put in effort and you will see he grades accordingly! Yes, he is not up to par on technology but that is beside the point: his class is interesting and he is so nice. He just wants to see that you are putting forth some energy into his assignments. If you get less than an A then that is entirely on you. He's great.

Very easy and fast-paced summer course. I think it was around 6-8 assignments a week, but very doable. Only two assignments needed to be completed thoroughly (most of them video-based), the others were video summaries. I rented the textbook but, was unnecessary, I only used it to refer to it sometimes in my work once or twice. Nice professor!

Assignments were due every two weeks, however, they were open till the last day of the semester so you could turn in your assignments whenever & you wouldn't get marked down for it. He grades easily as he gives everyone all the points. The grading criteria may seem like a lot but he doesn't care how much work you actually put into the assignments.

You must make time for a lot of reading and listening to music. There are times where he will want you to listen to like 8 songs for one assignment. He is a very easy grader. Just do your best and you will breeze through the class. He is very passionate about music. He leaves very thoughtful comments and shares little fun life stories.

He barely deducts any points for late work and he's very generous on how he gives points.

Professor Mikolajcik's Music 13 class is alot of reading and typing but the easiest A I have ever gotten. If you do this class online he leaves everything open to the end of the semester and still gives full credit if you fall behind. Highly recommend him he was one the best teachers I have worked with!!

The professor is super chill and laidback. Lots of assignments, but manageable if you put in the effort. The textbook is helpful, but not essential. And Unstuckstudy is a great tool for staying on top of the workload.

Very easy class and professor is good at grading. You get 5-8 assignments every 3 weeks and you have that whole time to do them. He opens all at the beginning of the semester if you want to knock them out, however they only took me about 2 hours to do them all each week. Interesting and assignments aren't difficult , highly recommend for an easy A
