Had him for Acct 1A and Acct1B, great teacher, he's the best. Make sure you get his "notes of mine" and be sure to study. He is the best accounting teacher ever.

Easy class if you go to every session. The only difficult part is the group presentation. Just go to class and it is an easy A. All tests are multiple choice. Buy his "My Notes" book. Everything you need to know is in there.

Who ever left the last rating must be a moron. This teacher is so easy. If you have any common sense at all, and you go to class, it is unbelievably easy to get an A. All tests are multiple choice, and most of the questions only have 3 possible answers.

Great teacher! Except that, for his tv course he makes you do a group project. This concept does not work for distance ed. Other then that awesome!

Easy if you watch videos; finals and mid term take home

Very clear on instructions for the internest class - tells you exactly what he expects. Not a ton of work. Only bad thing is he makes you do a group project - very hard to do with distance education. And he did miss responding to one of my emails. Other than that a good internet class to take.

Good teacher, will help if you ask, 8:00am was a little early for Accounting, learned a lot, in class work really helped me, always bring everything to class or he might give you a hard time. Friendly and respectful. Was a good class in all.

Mr. “D” is an incredibly gifted instructor who really wants his students to succeed, not only in his class but also in life! Pay special attention to the problems he does in class and then practice, practice, practice! As in every class, you get out of it what you put into it. Mr. “D” is there to help; all you have to do is ask!

I took the On-line course and he is very upfront at the beginning. The course is designed for you to basically teach yourself from the text. He likened it to a college research course. I got an A but I worked for it. If you are not good at solving things on your own then go to a lecture class. If you are a self starter then this is for you.

If you think this guy is hard, accounting is not for you. 1B was the easiest course I have ever taken. People were complaining when he said the tests were closed book. This is college man, not fricken high school! I didn't go to class half the time, studied maybe 10 hours, and got an A+. Some of the tests were online for heaven's sake! hahahahahaha

He has us solve problems together in class. Exam is not so hard if you study.

Professor Deaguero is a very cool teacher. He tries to relate to his students and he loves teaching. He's not very personable though and he has a quiz every week covering one chapter. The quizzes are only doable if you study the chapter and attend class. I didn't like the group project, but I would DEf. take him again. He's cool.

HE IS AWESOME!! I took him twice! & got an A both times. Go to class and sit near the front & you will become his buddy haha, always cares about what his students are up to, & always there to answer any questions you have & clarify it in any way he can. Just study & you will do fine, I mean come on Accounting isn't supposed to be a piece of cake

he was not hard just boring. Really scared me about what might happen if I majored in ACCT but he was not the worst it was just the material covered. I did great in his class, it just did not help when I transfered and took upper division Acct courses. Highly suggest taking an intermediate Acct course if you decide to major...take before u transfer

I love Prof DeAguero! I've had him for Acct 1A and now for Acct 1B. YES this class is difficult. acct is not a cake walk class. He is VERY passionate about the topic and tries his hardest to be clear. Answers all questions you may have. Definetly recommend him for accounting

I don't get why people think he's boring. It's not him, it's the material. Accounting isn't the most exciting subject, and furthermore, it's not his job to crack jokes. Accounting is for Bus. majors and such, so anyone taking the class knows what they're in for. He's a great prof., and that's all that is important. Slackers stay away!

He is a fantastic teacher. He made me LOVE accounting. I would never take another teacher. He was really into the subject, which makes it easier to learn. His 1b class was easier then his 1a class though. Attendance is basically a must.

This class is not for sissies! Be prepared to study hard with or without teachers help. He has responded to my emails though his response seems more like he's talking to a peer and not a student...

PROF D IS A GOOD TEACHER. EVERYTHING IS IN YOUR NOTES THAT YOU ARE REQUIRED TO BUY FORTHE CLASS AND YOU DONT REALLY NEED TO READ THE BOOK AT ALL. THE ONLINE HOMEWORK IS A LOAD THOUGH AND SOME OF THE EXAMS ARE DIFFICULT. BUT ON THE FINAL YOU GET TO USE YOU NOTES SO IT ISNT ALL THAT BAD AT ALL.

He is very good at explaining and he reviews and covers the things that are relevent to what you need for the test. Tests are challenging but if u pay attention to his lecture its a piece of cake. Prof D is a good teacher. People said don't take his online class, but if you take the regular class you will be fine. His class is not hard at all. He explained everything clearly and he let you practice the problem in class so that if you have any question you can ask him right away. I usually study few days before the test and i got high As.

Super cool teacher and is willing to teach until the entire clas understands the concept. Just do the homework and you'll get a B for sure. Put in a little extra for the A though

Great teacher. When I took 1A with him, every test that we took was online. We didn't have to show up to class on those days, and we could work with people from class. He does a good job explaining and will answer any questions. Highly reccomend.

Impossible to get an A? are you serious..All tests are online and the final is take home. The entire class is practically ran as a group. Walt teaches for fun and he is great at it. I thoroughly learned the material and can speak for the entire class aside from 2 slackers=> EASY A

He took FOREVER on very easy subjects. Class is very easy. If you understand the VERY VERY basics of accounting you can pass with no problem. Again, he takes along time to explain very simple concepts. If you are taking this class for the CPA for additional credits, I would recommend taking a more difficult class.

He's a good teacher and will help you out with any problems. His lectures are a little hard to keep up with sometimes, but other than that it's an easy class. He gave us all our homework and tests online, which I really enjoyed. Just stay on top of the lectures and homework and you'll do fine.

Definitely one of the better professors here on this campus. He thoroughly went over all the material at a good pace. As long as you pay attention in class and do all the work, I dont see how you could not recieve an A.

A very thorough, funny teacher, he goes over the most important points in class via slideshow, and doing several questions/examples in class. Where he stops teaching, you should refer to the book, and all tests/HW have been online. The online quizzes and tests follow the book more closely - he just goes over the big main points.

Cool guy, knows what he was talking about. The class overall was challenging because of the subject matter, but he made it manageable. Tests are online (provided through the publisher) and are open book/ open note. Homework is also online.

I have taken a accounting class previously and compared to my last professor this class was broken down a lot more barney style for someone who isn't an accounting wizard. He goes through each chapter step by step. Always does an example assignment before H/W. Very well put together and organized accounting class and knowledgeable professor.

Going into this class I was intimidated because I'm not the best with math skills. After taking this class with Prof. Deaguero I fell in love with accounting and am considering changing my major from marketing to accounting. Prof. Deaguero's class is relatively easy all homework & tests are online & he is very good at explaining things.

Liked the class, fun teacher to take it with. Quite a few people dropped and you cant really miss many of the classes if you want a good grade.

Professor does a great job of explaining everything in detail where it is understandable. Pros: Great explanations, reasonable due dates for homework.Cons: Class needs a little more breaks for long sessions and a little more fluid dynamic to keep you on your toes. Just attend the class and do your homework and you will be fine.

Great guy!! His class is super easy and all the tests are online except for te final which is a take home. Not the most helpful teacher but he is super knowledgeable. Guy knows his onion!

Overall this class should not be hard. If you show up, pay some attention to what is being said, and do the in class assignment right you'll do fine. Best of all, tests are online and based off what you do in class. It is definitely not impossible to receive an A in this class. Do your work and you'll be fine.

Easy class with a great professor! All the homework and tests were conducted online with the final being take home. Walter Deaguero made the material very simple to understand and was not afraid to clarify further! Do the homework online, and succeed- as simple as that. Only negative is that he does not teach Accounting 1B... :(

Professor Deaguero will work with anyone who truly wants to learn the information. Advice is to come to every class and be respectful aka be an adult and you'll do great in this class.

This professor was great. If you had the notes and did the practical examples in class, the homework and tests were easy. He always did an example as a group so everyone was able to see how it was done properly, then he had the class try a similar problem by themselves. Overall, he made the class informative and easy, if you showed up to class.

For a 5 hour class he is very good at keeping your attention. Light classwork that resembles the homework. The way he explains the work makes it easy to understand. Tests are (usually) online. And he typically lets you out of class early.

Very clear with guidance, rules, attendance policy, points and exams. Very low stress level, which was good for me, helps digest material easier and not stressing over every little detail. If something is not clear professor will help after the class. He never responded to my emails but he answered all my questions in class and after class.

Great Professor. Great class. My only complaint is that he doesn't teach 1B. I feel like I understand the material and didn't have to stress about getting a bad grade. Doing the HW, showing to every class, and a couple hours to study for ea test => Easy A

His teaching method gave me the confidence to take the course. His class quizzes are very helpful to consolidate what you learned each session. The bad thing is if you are in a hospital and miss the class he doesn't prorate the grades. I have taken this course with another professor in summer but sue to my injury I ended in hospital and withdrew.

he teaches the topic thoroughly but repeats a lot of what is taught, i recommend not taking the 5 hour class...

I took this professor in 1996. One of favorite professors and I did about 130 units in college. I lost my Accounting book, no worries I found the same Accounting book in a local library, bought it for $.50!!! Thanks Walt for your great Accounting classes!!!

This professor was truly one of the best i had while i was at saddleback. Walt truly cared about student' understanding of the material. So passionate about what he was teaching. Very nice guy. I wish he taught more business classes there. If you're reading this Walt, you're the best!!
