Awesome teacher- Knows everything and more. He makes class fun and amazes you with his knowledge. the way he presents things makes you remember them. Definately take his classes.

Dr. Jahn is the most wonderfully informed teacher. If you can keep up with his fast paced teaching strategies, you'll fully enjoy the semester! He has an intense passion for his work, which always makes a class fun

A "must-take". His lectures on lungfish and salamanders are incredibly stimulating. Where does he get his knowledge? Its hard to believe there must be someone out there smarter than him providing it.

The class was very boring but Dr. Jahn made it more interesting. I have a greater appreciation for dinosaurs because of him. Vey good teacher- I recommend him to anyone.

I basically used his class as a study hall to get work from my other classes done...even though i was a horrible student he still tried everything to get me a great grade...i seriously recommend him...just study the guide he gives you and your golden...i got an A- for the class:)

A very excellent teacher. He is very helpful, insightful, and he knows alot about what is talks about. He makes learning fun but you must study because his tests will be very difficult if you don't. Wonderful profesor. Prehistoric life was a fun class. Kind of difficult on line because of the dinosaur names. But he was very helpful.

What a great teacher! He gives you the answers to the test: how can you fail...study!! Be prepared to go to the Museum of Nat. History (go when Dr.Janh goes) A great visual teacher brings lots of props to class. Keep up with journal and evolution project and you'll do fine.

i will miss him :-( he was a good teacher. he had lots of models which i hated learning n memorizing but they made the class more interestin so thats a plus :-) he explains the material good too n helps u out if u need it. also he has a good sense of humor too so that keeps the class goin.

Mr. Jahn TEACHES! Excellent classroom lectures keep students interested. Excellent illustrations and teaching techniques for a usually boring subject.

Dr. Jahn is very knowlegable on his subject matter, he is very easy to listen to and approach. The lab practicals tend to be challenging, take good notes and get help if you need it! Not to mention there is something eccentrically hot about him

I hate biology classes, but he made it so interesting & fun. I really feel like I learned in the class not just memorized things. The best part was he gives all the questions and answers to the tests! I wish I could take him for every class!

He made anatomy fun!! If you do the questions in his work book then you will know all the questions on the test!! He is also likes questions and is always willing to answer!! plus his jokes are pretty funny!!

Dr. Jahn is a great teacher. I took his prehistoric life dreeding it. But he made it fun and interesting. His tests are pretty easy as long as you study the material.

He was an awsome teacher!! His lecture was pretty boring though because all he did was talk, but he's an easy grader and his test are good. I would recommend for all the science classes.

Very interesting class well taught by a great professor. The lectures are just that: lectures. Don't expect much interaction: the lectures Dr. Jahn delivers are not designed that way. He speaks at you, not with you. Fascinating course, though, and extremely well taught.

Dr. Jahn is by far the BEST teacher at OCCC. I sometimes wonder why he teaches there -he should be at a major university. His lectures can be boring (what lectures aren't?) but he takes the time to explain things in a way students can understand, & he has very cool props to reinforce the subject. If you want to KNOW and REMEMBER A&P, take Dr. Jahn!

Great guy and basically gives you the test a week before. Still, interesting lectures even though by nature a little dry. Very knowledgeable and has a good sense of humor.

I took his prehistoric life class. How does one person know so much?! It's clear how much he loves teaching.He is the best teacher I ever had. I took Professor Jahn for Prehistoric Life and I can honestly say I loved him! He is really smart and a great teacher. Really easy to get along with and has a pretty good sense of humor. He was definitely one of my favorite teachers. I highly recommend him to others. Be careful though, his tests are REALLY hard but if you study it will be fine!

I had Dr. Jahn for A&PI and II. HE WAS AWESOME! Very good for visual learners and the way he expalins things make it so fun!!!!

Great teacher, if you fail his tests it's you're own fault. He gives you the exact questions at the beginning of the semester and keeps them up all semester. He gives journals but they HELP you with the tests, he gives videos of everything if you miss class. Easy going guy. Take this guy for any class.

Great course and his online materials provided everything you needed to complete the numerous writing assignments as it was an online class. Amount of information can be daunting but as long as you stay ahead of the class schedule you should be fine. Very passionate about subject matter and forces you to see the science behind many issues.

This guy is awesome. Best professor I ever had. Extremely helpful, makes clay molds and videos of everything even(that is on his biology website). Made a song about the hormones based on a Tom Petty song that he plays in class with is guitar.

Jahn is great! He so nice, helpful and sweet. He is the only reason that I enjoyed a bio course. He made it interesting, possible to pass and made the class fun. If you study , pay attention and do your work you can get an A. I hate bio and figured it would be my hardest class and I got an A!

I would go out of my way to ensure I end up in this Professor's class again.He knows how to teach. The only way you cannot do well is if you are lazy. Yes, he has tests where you have to write the answers rather than pick from multiple choices, however, you know what he expects you to know before the test. No excuse not to do well. Great Professor.

I loved this professor. Go out of your way to get him, he knows what he's doing and makes the class really interesting. He makes his own videos and is really passionate about the subject. He's a great guy

Professor Jahn was the perfect teacher for me. I took Prehistoric Life and he was very passionate and clear. There are lots of online quizzes you have to complete but he gives you the questions and answers to the tests beforehand so it's incredibly easy if you give even the slightest bit of effort every week. The names got confusing otherwise 5/5

Dr. Jahn is the best teacher I've ever had. I've never seen a teacher put such effort into ensuring his students can understand the material. He is brilliant, patient, engaging and gives his students every opportunity to succeed. This is a man who truly has passion for what he does. I will remember him and his teachings fondly for my entire life.

He's a nice guy but his class was just SO DRY. I couldn't get into it and it was such a drag to get through the lectures. Everything you need to do is online, so I'd recommend taking it online. Tests had WAY too much content and some of the vids were annoying as hell. But I appreciate his passion and dedication to his students but yea, not my fav.

Made biology a lot of fun. Very easy to work with, very clear about assignments. Lots of videos that are funny, corny but make you remember and learn. If you do poorly it's because you didn't try. He gives you every chance in the world to succeed. He cares about his students. You'll never regret taking him.

I took the accelerated course of prehistoric life online. AWESOME class. Great teacher the vidoes were entertaining , I learned so much In such a short time. The format was easy and very educational.

Tests are hard but you can retake them! Lots of short online quizzes you can take three times to get the best grade possible. Class is very boring though. No textbook either!

Professor Jahn made the class super fun. I had him for A&P 2 and he made it super easy . He gives a lot of homework but its all useful and it definitely helps on the tests. His lab class was great as well ! He is definitely the best professor , and he's really kind . I would definitely recommend him .

Dr. Jahn is awesome however, he loves information! His classes are tougher in general and his tests are all short answer,but he does give lots of resources and crazy videos to watch. If you miss one of his classes you are missing a lot so I don't recommend it but life happens, I missed 2 myself and still managed to pass.

I had prefessor Jahn for both A&P 1 and 2. He makes a very tough class easy due to all the resources that he gives to his students. Yes, his tests are mainly short answer, but he also gives you videos to help you as well as gives you all of the notes and objectives which are more or less word for word for what is on the test. Loved his class!

Prof. Jahn made it easy to succeed with videos with all of the necessary information. The quizzes could be repeated, and it was a great survey course of biology.

I took Jahn for A&P 1 & 2 and he is awesome. A&P is a tough course but he has all the materials and information a student needs to pass. He offers everything from online videos to songs to help students remember the material. I would absolutely take him again.

I took A&P 2 in the summer and love Dr. Jahn he is amazing!! listen, do the work and you will be fine. He gives you everything you need. My favorite professor! Fun class even though it is hard. Most of his tests and quizzes are short answer and if you listen well you will have no problem. The online quizzes prepare you for the test so do them all.

I recommend Jahn to everyone I know, and they all thank me for it. Prehistoric Life is one of the best, and easiest, classes you can take at OCCC. All the information for the test is covered in the lectures and online materials. Just make flashcards and memorize them, and you will ace his class. Fantastic professor.

I was so nervous about A&P but Prof. Jahn made it so enjoyable for me. He gives every chance to get a good grade and has so many resources. Honestly the best teacher I've ever had. I'd take again and again and boost my GPA every time.

His lectures are not boring. Hes clear about whats on exams, so if you do the work you'll pass. if you are a visual learner, hes the teacher for you.

Prof Jahn is the best science professor I ever had. His class is taught by slides and films he made and they are great. He tells you what will be on the exams and he gives you all the resources you need to do very well. His videos and slides take the place of a book and they were great

He's amazing! He has tons of material available for you, gives great lectures & makes things fun. We laughed A LOT in his Lab. There is tons of chances to raise your grade & if you take advantage it's super helpful. His "mother of all practicals" was just that but he breaksdown what will be on it before hand. A&P is tough but he makes it fun!

Good professor all in all but you WILL be doing a crazy amount of online homework. While it helps you study for his exams (all short answer), it takes up so much time. He also isn't very responsive to questions, and oftentimes seems annoyed when asked a question. Says "uhh" LITERALLY every other word. Very distracting. Not a bad guy though.

Really really amazing professor. You definitely have to memorize a lot but he gives you all the materials and tells you exactly what will be on the tests. He goes above and beyond trying to make sure things make sense. Sometimes his games, videos, and songs are a little wacky but they really help you learn.

Amazing professor for an already difficult class. Prepares his own lecture notes for the class and has his own youtube channel and website with more than enough resources to help anyone succeed. All of the tests are about as straight forward as anyone can ask. There wasnt any material on any test that wasnt explained or taught in class

Professor Jahn is an excellent teacher! He has online activities, videos and notes which are all tailored in passing his class. He gives objectives on his lecture notes that are exactly the questions he puts on his exams. Labs are interesting and just as straight-forward as well. Take Professor Jahn if the idea of BIO 2 makes you uneasy.

Hes the best!!! Absolutely loved his class! Make sure you study since his tests are short answer. Study the quizzes that he gives online and youll be fine. Make sure you do all your work and ask questions he likes participation. Hes a great teacher and youll get a A if you do what you got to do in his class.

A&P 2 is not an easy to class to begin with but if you have the chance to take it with Jahn do not hesitate. Besides being one of the smartest teachers on campus, he provides an enormous amount of xtra materials to help you succeed. He has his own youTube channel, website, online notes. Prof Jahn provides SO many resources, you would be stupid to fail his class. He even practically gives you the test. He genuinely wants the class to learn, you can tell he is very passionate about his topics. Also, where's the chili pepper icon like in the old days of RMP? ;-) Highly recommended!

Professor Jahn is one of the best professors I've ever taken at occc. I literally did nothing in his class but show up and got an A+. All work is easily online and can be made up at anytime. He's really reasonable, understanding, and gives us the answers for each assignment. Most definitely would recommend him to everyone.

Professor Walter was an awesome teacher for genetics 201. The class can be very easy as long as you keep up with all the assignments. His teaching is understandable and he makes the class fun. Would recommend taking his genetics class!

Professor Jahn is an amazing and smart professor. He makes it impossible to fail his class and his online activities are very helpful in preparing for tests/quizzes. I've had Professor Jahn for two classes prior to this and all I can say is that he cares a lot about the success of his students. Awesome professor, definitely must take.

Took Gen Bio 2 and A & P 1 and 2 with Jahn. Provides notes that has a study guide attached to it. Study guide 100% mimics the exam. Assignments are online can be taken multiple times until you receive an 100 & due b4 exam. His lectures are animated videos that he designs avail. on YouTube-Walter Jahn. I LOVE BIO B/C OF HIS PASSION. Amazing prof!!!

Very easy class. Just do the assignments, and study the reviews and you'll be fine. Gives lots of extra credit. I got a 109 on two exams! There was also a museum project but it was online due to covid-19, very easy. Just put in the work and retake the quizzes until your grade is high. T

Dr Jahn was an amazing teacher. He provided so many helpful resources and made class super fun! He also gives plenty of assignments that help boost your grade a bit. Overall a great teacher.

Dr. Jahn is an amazing Professor. The course I took was Biology for Today which is a distance learning class. It is a dense course but can be done fairly easily with the time and effort put in. All content is presented via video during each question set. There is no searching or struggling to find what information you need.

I loved this class set up. It was extremely fun and really easy as long as you put in the time and work. I definitely reccommend this class. There was extra credit, so many resources, and always the chance to redo assignments.

This professor has literally set up all of his classes for you to succeed, if you fail it is 110% your fault because he couldn't make these courses any easier. This is a VERY good GPA booster. He gives you a unit and a date that its all due and then a calendar of when you should do it to stay on track but I and many others did everything last min.

He's a great professor and makes it nearly impossible to fail. All of the units have assignments that can be repeated until you get the grade you want. Tests were hard and needed a browser locker app but doable if you pay attention to the lessons and work with them.

a great guy overall. he clearly cares about engaging his students and making sure they pass. i've taken another one of his classes which was just as great, only difference is the tests were a bit more difficult for this class. but the course work is so easy to get all 100s ons you can only fail if you don't try at all. dr. jahn is the best

Great professor and gives you plenty of opportunities to get a good grade. If you actually care about learning the material, it is almost impossible to not get an A. If you use the materials he gives you, which is a lot (videos, pictures, practice tests, etc) you are almost guaranteed to do well. Not an easy course but he makes it manageable.

A&P I is definitely an intense course with a lot of info, but Dr. Jahn makes it very easy/clear to understand. If you are confused, he is ready to help you. He makes lecture, lab, and assignments engaging, and he does a great job preparing you for his exams. It was nice to learn without being glued to a textbook. I 1000% recommend Dr. Jahn!

Dr. Jahn is a good professor and he is passionate about what he dose. You can take test and quizzes twice and he will keep the best grade. My only problem with Dr. Jahn is that he's not the professor for everyone. If you study by taking notes, DO NOT PICK HIM. He primarily teaches through videos and lectures. But notes very minimal.

Ong I love this man so much! He puts so much into his curriculum and makes countless music videos and cartoons that are a huge help in learning the topics. Theres a lot of homework in each unit but they count in your grade and help you prepare for whats exactly on the test. He even gives you the option to attend virtually. God bless him.

It's always a pleasure to have Dr. Jahn as a professor. He makes his lectures engaging and you can tell he's passionate about what he does. He lets you take exams twice and keeps the better grade, and gives you unlimited attempts on assignments. It allows you to concentrate on learning the material without stressing over grades. I recommend 1000%!

Amazing professor. Has every unit clearly set out and gives his students all they need to succeed. You can tell he really cares about his students success. Easy A if you just show up and do the work he assigns, which is very clear and understandable. Entertaining lectures and 2 chances to take exams, endless chances to take quizzes.

Very nice and understanding of peoples schedules.

If you are not a bio major do not take this class. Prof Jahn is very kind, easy-going, and cool. He however, assigns a lot of homework. So, if bio isn't your major or a priority of yours, skip 1411 and go for 101, or something easier with less of a tedious work load.

Gives a multitude of ways to succeed in the course. Grade is made up of 60% for Lecture and 40% for Lab. All exams are able to be taken twice, once at home (which is a luxury) and once in class. Assigns a lot of homework though. All adds up to ~a test grade. Great dude!!

Wasn't the most interesting course, but I enjoyed his clear passion for the material. He wants you to succeed, and it's very evident through the way the course is set up. A lot of homework in the class. You have the option to go to the American Museum of Natural History by the end of the semester for 10% of your grade, or write an 8-10 page paper.

Prof. is great. Brings a great attitude to the class and the workload is a lot, but is easily able to be broken down if time management is good. Prof. cares more about your education then making you worry about your grades. Allows quizzes to be taken multiple times to allow education to happen. Exams are a 1 shot but prof sets you up for success.

Third time taking Professor Jahn. He's a wonderful guy and is passionate about whatever topic he lectures about. Genetics is incredibly complex, but he does a good job of explaining the basic concepts of the field.

Prof Jahn makes this class a breeze with a ton of resources and easy grading. unstuckstudy is a game-changer for studying. Just show up, put in the work, and get an easy A.
