Dr. Peace is one of the greatest profs in the Geography department. He is helpfull and approachable whenever you have questions or concerns about his course or any course in the geography department. McMaster needs more profs like Dr. Peace.

The course material is interesting, the ta's are really helpful and friendly and his teaching style is easy-going and laid back. One of the best prof's I've had so far.

Dr. Peace is the greatest! His lectures are interesting, and easy to follow. He is easy to approach and is able to answer any questions! He is humerous and fun loving. Great class! Even if you aren't in geography this class is worth taking!

Dr. Peace is my idol! I loved him as a prof! I took his class last term, and switched my schedule so I could take 1HU3 this term! The course is interesting, and Dr. Peace is a brilliant man who enjoys to share his knowledge with everyone. Dr. Peace also inspired me to take geo as my minor. Thanks!

Dr. Peace is the best prof I've had at university. He makes sense of what needs to be taught and is always approachable. Thanks to Dr. Peace I've decided to get into GEO as my major. Thanks Dr. Peace!!

If you are in the Geography program and want an easy A, take this class! Its basically 1HS3 repeated but with more of an emphasis on Canada (obviously)........however, if you have never taken a GEO course before, it will be more of a 7 or 8 class

boring as all hell...but he knows his stuff and the class was enjoyable...give him a break

Peace is subtle and hilarious! I always wonder if he knows he is funny. I love his lectures, his style of writing and his clarity is perfect. He could calm down with loving Hamilton. Another city could be much more interesting! One of my favorite professors .

EASY CLASS BUT BORING LECTURES

Great prof....Dr. Peace doesn't get enough credit from the university. He works harder than probably the majority of profs at mac and he should be promoted...not to mention any names, but people in the department do not deserve the position given to them

Dr.Peace is probably one of the best profs at mac. he is so smart and knows his stuff. his lectures are very old schoool A LOT of writing. the textbook was the biggest waste of money for 1HU3 and IHS3. never opened it once and got As in both classes. dont buy the textbook you will never use it..all exam questiosn come from lecture notes!!

GEO 1HU3 and 1HS3. He is an awesome prof. You can easily get a 11 or 12. His assignments are dreadfully simple and the exams aren't too bad, just read your notes and pay attention to some of the quirky stuff he says in lecture. I love that he focuses on Hamilton, that's where the school is so I find it very appropriate. Easily one of the best profs

Going to class is a great idea. Little details will show up on tests, and you will only know the correct answer if you attended lecture. He is good enough so that you should not need to dread going to class. Assignments were not difficult, nor was the test/exam.

Don't need to attend lectures as long as you have the notes!!! Uses alot of questions from old midterms and exams, so make sure u have them!!!! overall, very boring prof. but easy course (Geo 2HC3)

I find it quite funny that undergrads flip out if complete notes are not online, and complaining about attending class. Grow the heck up, you are in university. You are not entitled to an A, you are not entitled to lecture notes. You all wonder why everyone hates undergrads

I can't believe what I'm reading about Peace! I'm in 4th year and he is the best prof I have ever had. No other prof cares as much about his students then this guy! In one class he took a weekend out to walk up and down the lake to help the class on a project.Hands down, best prof ever. He actually cares more about his students then his research.

i dont know what you guys are talking about. this guy is amazing. hes NOT a slacker and he is actually a very likeable guy. he clearly cares about his students, and makes geography interesting. Peace over Mercier any day. take his course, read the notes, do the assignments, go to labs. Theres your A right there

PEACE IS MY FAVOURITE PROF. you can tell he loves teaching geography & he is funny at times. his lectures get kind of boring but his courses are very easy! just make sure you have the lecture notes and you'll be fine for midterms/exams. textbook is extremely useless..don't buy it. HANDS DOWN DR. PEACE IS AWESOME!

Amazing prof. Well respected from many students.Very clear on concepts and extremely knowledgeable in his field. Loves to answer questions from students, and has a dry humor to keep everyone interested! If you attend lecture and listen to him, the midterms and exams are a breeze!

Very passionate about geography and teaching. Hands down one of the best profs i have ever had. He is very old school, no posted lecture notes, etc but regardless he is great!

Dr. Peace is a GREAT speaker. He appears to be passionate about the course. I was never bored in his class and I don't even like Geography. You have to attend the lectures to get notes or get it from someone else. The test and exam were at random...you literally need to know every single detail from the notes and text.

Dr. Peace really cares about his student's understanding the material. The labs can be time-consuming but not very difficult and if you put the work in, it's easy marks. As long as you study from your notes and read the text, an A is not out of the question.

Excellent lecturer. Makes very clear what you need to know, and explains things very well. Decades of experience, and it shows. Course is very straightforward and easy.

He's pretty concise, but tests are random

He's a really great teacher and I enjoyed going to his lectures. The lectures match exactly to the assigned chapters from the text. Also the Labs have nothing to do with the content of the lectures. I also took 1HB3 with him and it was the same deal. Also the Geog TAs aren't as good in these courses as TAs Ive had in other faculties.

Man, what a great prof. His tests aren't extremely hard, he teaches at a perfect pace, and the best thing about him..his voice! His voice is crystal clear, you can understand everything he says, and that is why he is the best prof at Mac!

Great professor! Reminds me of a grandfather figure. Was a very easy class with a fair amount of work to do in labs. Exams are really random though, and some questions are irrelevant to the course.

This man is probably one of my favorite professor's at Mac. Tries to make class enjoyable, great teacher and very helpful, and he's got one of the greatest moustaches I've ever seen.

Seriously best professor! The man is real passionate about Geo and it shows through his lectures. His examinations are also not difficult at all which is a bonus. Halloween was da best! The only thing is that the powerpoints are partial and you have to fill the rest in from the lecture and it is too lengthy to be handwritten. A laptop is A MUST.

I had him previously for geog 1hb3 and I have to say, speaking for both times, he is one of the best profs I have had at Mac. 2rm3 was especially good because it felt like a high school class where peace marked our work and the class was small.. The class was really interesting and most of it is because peace made it interesting.

Really knowledgeable, his expertise is lost on most unfortunately as they didn't seem to care about the material. It was a summer course, mind you.

Very good lecturer/teacher that can explain very well. Even though I wasn't initially interested in the course, he made it very much worthwhile and interesting. Fair midterms, those that study well will surely get high marks (no tricks, at the same time if you slack it'll show). Cant sleep through his class if you want to do well

Dr. Peace is an amazing professor! The class is not difficult at all, but it does require you to work. There are a few little homework assignments and 1 large assignment, as well as a mid term and final. The tests are not hard if you study; if you don't study, it will definitely show! I can't wait to take many more classes with Dr. Peace!

Dr Peace is a good prof but you have to watch out for the random questions he puts in his tests, especially on the exam multiple choice. Assignment 2 is a project that is done in pairs and requires you to go to a place in Hamilton and make a tour book. You have to go to the location or you lose marks for not having a photo. Sketch maps were awful.

Great prof, easy class - best combination out there. I went to 5 classes, loved them all (it was at 8:30, hence the attendance) and ended with an 11! 1010 would recommend.
