The worst teacher I have ever had in my life.
Awesome professor. He gave us sample exams, and some of the questions from the sample exams were on the actual exam. He drops the lowest grade, and he gives many opportunities for extra credit. The other reviewer probably didn't try hard enough and failed
Not very friendly, but he's a decent teacher. A lot of math needs to be covered, so I guess that's why he's so serious. Tests are actually pretty easy, and he drops the lowest grade. Doing the homework really helps for the tests.

Not a good course to take in 6 weeks. Too much to cover if you are new to algebra. His teaching style is very hard to follow as he jumps from concept to concept leaving a few of us wondering what we were doing. Does care for students and tries really hard
If you do not catch on to math quickly I would suggest another professor. He's not good at answering question and can go through the work real quickly. The test are not hard as long as you stick with the homework
Getting old. Has problems explaining things often mixes of numbers and variables. When he knows something well moves too quickly and when unsure of something takes forever to figure it out. Would not recommend him to anyone!
Doesn't explain things very well and makes many mistakes. If you are not a good math student then you will probably have a hard time trying to learn and catch his mistakes at the same time.
This guy is horrible. He can’t teach math and gets angry when you interrupt him to ask questions. He sometimes thinks that he is teaching at Harvard instead of BCC.
He is the worst teacher I ever had. Come on to be in Calculus I know Math....he teaches at an elementry level and tests on a University level. There were times in class when he could not work out problems we aksed. PLeeeeeeeeeease do not take him...you will be stressed out.

He hates explaining anything and always seems annoyed. He's also very dyslexic. He confuses his negative signs and most of the times when he works a problem he messes up and has to go back. Also, he confuses 23 with 32 and he'll even admit to his disability. Students beware of this professor and spend your money elsewhere.
I recomend taking another proffesor because it would be a waste of money. If you are goint to wast you money, waste your money ina lap dance insted on of in his class.
The class is not hard but understanding him is. He makes to many mistakes and confuses people. If you are not confuse at the beginning of the class, you are sure to be confuse at the end of the class.
I think he's a good teacher but he doens'nt speak very clearly. He tries very hard to get the info out to the students in the short time allowed. His door is always open. "Lazy"ness will not pass his class.
I think it would be a great thing if the BCC would fire him. The janitor know how to explain math better than him. Mr. Wooden should take some classes with Mrs. Grody and Spector, Ira in order to learn how to teach. He should consider paying back the tuition money to all his student. It's time to retired!
Very unclear teacher, doesnt get his point across, If i wanted to take the time to teach myself the work i would of taken an online course. Waist of time and money DO NOT TAKE THIS prof. He cant even do the work correctly himself.
I have always been I good student and I got great grades in ALL MY CLASSES EXCEPT HIS. He gets distracted so easily, and he is scatter-brained. Nice man but bad teacher.

Even though he mumbles sometimes he is a good teacher. He really cares about you learning the information. He is not hard and he knows what he's talking about. He'll even stay after and help you if you don't understand. Everyone who gave him a horrible review just couldn't quite grasp the concept. Everyone is different. He is not the worst teacher
Hes a great guy outside of the class, but as a teacher he needs to shape up. I was lost most of the time during class and his memory fails him at least 3 times during each class. Otherwise if you know the material you should be ok. He didnt let our class use calculators on tests, but they're multiple choise (uhh...) so uh try someone else.
Professor Wooden is really not bad at all, he is just a no nonsense kind of person, he is informative and knowledgeable about the subject. He has made my learning experience a rewarding one. He was very helpful and available for additional help. He is not the professor for you if you need someone to hold your hand like a baby.
He is an alright teacher, if you know how to teach yourself. When he gives examples in class he will skip steps, but the steps he skips are the easy one's like adding or subtracting before he get's to the final answer. He does offer extra help if you have time to go to his office, but his teaching style is off.He also talks to himself at times.

He down plays student who go to bcc compared to an university. he loves to skip steps even if the whole class repeatly tells him that they need to see what is happen between steps 1 and 2. Doesn't take a lot of time to go over homework question and when he asks you to go to his office for help he rashs you out and he still does explian well.
Just business, if you already have a working knowledge of the material he would be a great teacher. If you have trouble with math you may want a teacher who goes a little slower.

I'm not good in math at all however i never failed it before in my life. This guy was an awful teacher he expect his students to know everything in the book. He always comparing us to someone who did well. You will not understand anything in his class dont take him please
He's an idiot. The worst teacher i've ever had. Told classmates to "shut up" and wouldn't answer any questions. Constantly erases his own work on the board because he missed step to the problem. he's difficult to understand. I withdrew from his class. The second time around with a different prof. and I passed.

Word cannot discribe how horrible this teacher is, again north campus has the habit of hiring bad math & english teachers. this guy is arrogant, unable to relate to his student, every time i ask a question his answer was you should know this previous math...stay away from his classes the guy should not be a college professor. he can't hear well.
Extremely "old school" in his methodology and demeanor. Struggles with critical communication of processes in subject matter and their explanations. His lack of focus and accuracy on problem explanations lead more to added confusion, rather than solution. Avoid, particularly if mathematically challenged.

He won't let you ask questions. He explains confusing things that don't need to be explained. Never take his class. Ever.
Prof. Wooden skips steps, does not speak clear and does not teach. He skips around to chapters that require learning the one previous before and does not bother to explain them.
hilarious, this guy cracks me up, he is confused out of his mind, i never had so much fun in a class, he seems to be easy to handle, u just have to know your math, u basically teaching yourself, so if u know your stuff and u up for some fun take him, the man is very entertaining

If you are lazy/your major does not require much math, then do yourself a favour, take another professor. He knows his math inside & out. You need to have done some work on your own to be able to ask sensible questions. An idiot asking idiotic questions will get nowhere. If you do well in your assignments you will do well in his tests.

I took him for pre and intermediate algebra, and received a high B in both classes.I admit that he is not one of the best lecturers , but he shows interest, and will completely go over a concept until you understand it(i stayed after class every day). I wouldn't recommend him, but i wouldn't steer you away either.
Terrible professor. You can't understand a word he's saying. I think even if you're a Math wizard, listening to him will confuse you. He mutters, is very unclear, and hovers over you while you're taking your test, making it very uncomfortable. DO NOT TAKE THIS COURSE IF YOU NEED THE MATH CREDIT AND STRUGGLE WITH IT!
This guy is horrible. Don't take this class. He talks way too fast! He understands what he's doing but he doesn't teach it too you. And the only reason you have to buy the text book is for the mymath labs plus code. otherwise you never use the book

Show up for the test and make sure you pass. Going to class is a waste of time. You can learn more from the book.
Absolutely horrendous teacher. I almost went to the math department and complained! Talks to the board, not to the students, makes tons of mistakes, talks a mile a minute, and is not even very nice at all. He even forgot where the classroom was halfway through the semester! RUN!!!!!

He is a great professor, you just have to pay attention but it would be a lot better if they provided us textbooks in his class.
Wooden is good at math but he isn't a great teacher. In class he just goes over the homework for the day, so learn the lesson beforehand. If you need help he's willing. Ask him to extend MLP and he'll do it. If you aren't the best at math, try to get a different professor because you will have to learn most of it on your own. Textbook is in MLP.

H O R R I B L E!!!! I wouldn't advise anyone to take his class unless you are excellent in math and able to teach yourself. He doesn't answer questions he mumbles all the time and wont thoroughly explain a step in a problem. He teaches and explains the lesson after you've taken the test. He only grades test and nothing else. Waste of time and money
He isn't that bad, he gives a decent amount of extra credit, but you better be a hard worker or know your stuff. And he is EXTREMELY nice (just not the best teacher )

Do yourself a favor and save money by NOT taking his class. I never thought I would encounter a bad math teacher that's bad at teaching math. Half of my class dropped within a few weeks. I stayed because I just wanted to at least try to get at least a C but even that was impossible with his teaching!

He states one thing then retracts & states another on the material. When he writes the problem on the board from the book he writes something completely different confusing the students & himself. Professor Wooden is very nice. He may be growing in age so he mumbles and struggles to hear his students. He knows his math, he's not a tough grader though. The online work is what really helps though. I'd suggest taking another professor though. Just my opinion since I did not pass because of the online work. The site wasn't working at the time.
