Does not relate out of class readings to in class discussion. Does not hand out a syllabus, must go online for all course materials other than textbook. All online material is poorly formatted, making for reading online, or printing out very difficult.

She is a HORRIBLE teacher. She is late to every class, tries to keep us late and talks on and on about nothing. The tests have nothing to do with what she discusses in class so you pretty much have to teach the information to yourself in order to pass. All I have to say is I had a doctors note and I showed her....she told me to drop the class. She is un caring and has the ability to make anyone fall asleep. She is late to class almost every day and has the willpower to force the class into overtime...AHHHHHH. DO NOT TAKE HER@!@!

First i'm a Pol Sci major and i can't stand a bias taecher. she's late every class, she is the most boring teacher at central. but it's an easy A. all you have to do is go to class. don't buy the book. just spit back everything she says and don't give your own opinions.

She TOLD students they were slow, or that they had learning disabilities. Her notes are all over the place. I have never, ever had a teacher so shockingly ignorant as this one. At least 30% of what comes out of her mouth is flat out wrong. Arrogant, boring, condescending, uninformed, and yes, ignorant. Why is she still teaching?

She loves to make up words, loves to talk and espouse her beliefs... but she'll interrupt you, even during a presentation, and will not hesitate to speak to you condescendingly. She is the most difficult professor to follow and one of the worse teachers I have ever had.

Horrible professor. Her lectures are rambly, tangential, and rather pointless. She has no problem with showing up late to class then running considerably over at the end. Very dismissive of questions asked in class. Do the reading (it's pretty heavy, though) and you should do okay, but don't expect to get anything out of the classroom experience.

I am sittting in class right now with Prof. Foster Brown, and I can honestly say I have never contemplated suicide more in my life. Her long pauses and scowling looks are often overshadowed by the outstanding use of words that she makes up: Simular, Simularities. I have a strong idea that she has absolutely no idea what she's talking about

This class was about anything to be honest. I don't know what she talked about, but it was nothing relative to the subject matter. No point in studying for test because her tests were on anything. On the final she asked questions that she never ever went over and that werent even in the text. I was lucky enough to get B-.

She loves hearing herself talk and constantly tweeks words to sound more sophisticated, making it HARD for students to follow! Isnt helpful at all. Emailed her twice about online multiple choice quiz questions that have multiple answers, and she just ignored me. If you care about ur GPA, dont take her class!

Really shes hard to understand and talks too much but honestly ive had her 5 times shes a super easy grader and will let you hand stuff in late without penalty she just likes to hear herself talk so let her and just sit back and get your A

By far one of the worst professors ever - Online Summer Class. Very unclear, doesn't follow her own syllabus instructions/deadlines and VERY RUDE/CONDESCENDING. Does not like students to disagree with her views and shows it. I got an A in class but hated every bit of the course. Clearly doesn't care about students actually learning.

Ive had her for a few classes all TERRIBLE! She expects students to use vista everyday even though her classes aren't hybrid! Total waste of money if your expecting to be educated by her. Most useless lectures ever. Classes have no point to them. Avoid if possible. Does not prepare for the class. Uses author's powerpoints and reads off a few of them and then talks endlessly about nothing about international relations. Frequently ends the class late !

I feel dumber after leaving class. I want my time and money back. This subject is very interesting. However, this professor cannot teach at all. It is torturous to sit through this class 140 minutes a week. AVOID IF YOU CAN.

She is really nice and a good person but a horrible teacher. Her speech is very fragmented and hard to follow, as if she starts a sentence with no idea how to finish and makes it up as she goes along. She assumes you will read a full textbook in one month and read everything she posts on vista. Never writes on the board either. AVOID IF POSSIBLE

One of the most boring professors I've ever had. Classes almost always go over time, and she spends most of the time just talking. She never writes anything on the board and nothing she talks about shows up on the online quizzes. for a 100 level course, she requires a ridiculous amount of reading. I'd advise never taking a class with her.

Lectures have no structure or relevance to the class material. I would say she is easy because if you pull yourself up you will get a good grade in the class, just don't expect any help from this professor. If you have the ability to teach yourself then you should do fine, however if you require more assistance, enroll in other classes.

Professor Brown is one of the worst professors I have ever taken. She is confusing and very dull. Her approach to teaching leaves you feeling as if you are going to fail before you even get started. She does not want to hear anyone's thoughts or opinions and she will put you down or berate you in front of the class

Lectures are useless. She has a condescending attitude and lacks presentation skills. Books are overpriced and barely used. The Syllabus arbitrarily changes (like the final paper requirements being upped). Doesnt follow course-eval protocol. All assignments are online and the site is unorganized. Her classes are an insult to students' intelligence.

Very well read however her communication skills are extremely lacking. She sets up her classes in a cookie cutter fashion so every class is set up exactly the same. Her lectures are extremely vague and end up confusing you more than clarifying. Do the discussions, write alot on the papers, come to class and you're guaranteed a B.

She is very biased towards political parties. She rambles in class and does not go over any readings. Be prepared to read over 300 pages per week for just this one class. There is no homework so if you fail an exam or quiz you fail the class. She goes off on tangents and it is easy to get lost. There are no notes or powerpoint either.

DONT NOT TAKE HER IF YOU DONT HAVE TOO! She assigns 4 textbooks for the class but you only need one ( American Conduct of Foreign Policy). It might seem easy in the beginning but after midterms she assigns 2 discussion questions, a 12 page paper, and a heavy duty presentation. She rambles about Trump and exbits bias. Not even worth going to class.

I don't recommend this class. The only reason I didn't fail is because the quizzes/tests are online and open book. Currently sitting in her class while she rambles on. This woman really assigned three essays and theyre due in a week. Im teaching myself this class, Im not taking this class. Its super frustrating. At first, it was an okay class but now its getting more and more ridiculous as the semester goes on.

Her teaching skills are poor because she lectures on what she really desires; however, she does not care about the students struggling points which in my is horrendous. I advise anybody that might want to take her up to find a different professor. Heavy on the reading. No homework, but the midterm and Final are both three essays each which is bad.

Don't take a single class with her if you can avoid it. She rambles about her own views all class and admits that we are always behind (on chapter 3 or 4 in class but supposed to be on 20 per the syllabus). If you are looking to actually learn and gain from a class, this is the wrong one for you. Projects have no rubric or clear prompt. Good luck.

Makes absolutely no sense and goes off topic every 3 seconds, then realizes she has 10 minutes left and rambles a hour lecture into 10 minutes. Professor Brown-Foster is the worst professor that Central Connecticut State University has on campus. Her teaching style includes lectures with some powerpoints mixed in, but she will consistently stray to off topic conversation during her lectures and then cram in a one hour lecture into the final fifteen minutes of class.

I don't even know where to begin. This professor took a 75 minute lecture and would ramble on for the first hour about nothing and then take the last 15 minutes to teach. She would always go 5-10 minutes over her allowed time. Attendance is not necessary since the class was only made up of 3 essay tests. Not hard to pass but would not recommend

I took two classes with her already, great professor. Until I took PS 291 with her. The COVID-19 ruined my transitioning online for me because I am a frontline worker. She took 10% out of my grade due to attendance, even though I submitted all my work on time. I ended up with a B which ruined my GPA, and chances of getting into my dream grad school

What professor has students read entire chapters and watch full length movies every week? Then assigns a 10 page paper relatively last minute while continuing to assign HW?

Imagine being asked to write a 10 page paper and as youre in the middle of writing it your professor continues to assign homework that she cannot grade on time. Avoid her at all costs! When I emailed her for help she was rude and condescending.

There are weekly assignments and quizzes. You have to pay for the service to take the quizzes which she could have easily just posted to blackboard for students to take. When it's time for midterms and finals, she is still assigning quizzes and assignments. weekly assignments are sometimes lengthy, so this class was too much for a 100-level class.

Took a level 100 course thinking it would be one of my 'easier' courses. NOPE. Not only does she assign 100+ pages of crap to read every week, some of the material has NOTHING TO DO WITH WHAT we're learning. Took this 100 level class as a gpa booster and thought it would help my schedule because it was all online. I was completely wrong. She is so unorganized, just throws a bunch of articles and documents in a folder. Grades discussions very tough. Final is a 10 page research paper, reminder that this is a 100 level course.

I have noted accommodations given to me by the university and Professor Brown-Foster did not abide by them. I asked to use my extension, which is given to me by the disability services at the school, and they told me no, which is not allowed. I wish I could go back and report them because it was unfair how my disability was ignored.

Dr. Brown-Foster is one of the smartest professors I have ever had, her wealth of knowledge on the subjects she teaches is vast and expansive. However it is not her knowledge on the subject matters she teaches that make her an awful professor, it is all her communication as it is difficult to speak with her as she makes you feel small and stupid.

I had an 86 in this class until the final, wrote a 10 page essay and she gave me a 12 out of 100... When I asked for feedback she gave me none and refused to meet with me. She failed me for the entire course and set me back an entire semester. This professor clearly wants to make people miserable.

This professor makes their online class extremely difficult to navigate and is extremely disorganized. It's impossible to find due dates and there are 3 entries in the gradebook for one assignment. I don't know how this is even allowed. I don't doubt that this Professor is an intelligent person, however they need to organize their online courses.

I have no clue what this lady ever talks about. Her material is so disorganized and she talks about things completely unrelated to the topic. Dropped my grade from 100 to a 75 because I was 6 minutes late to her class. On top of that she stops mid sentence to talk about another topic. Just a mess, I had to withdraw.

Takes forever to put in any grades. Blackboard is extremely unorganized and minimal announcements are made to help you stay up to date. The mindtap book you pay for is useless. No one knows what they're doing because she rambles about pointless topics all day every day. Very unhelpful if you decide to reach out too, and rarely responds to emails.

I am a straight A student. I have taken 300 and 400 level classes and have never experienced this much difficulty and confusion. I could not get past a B on all graded assignments with good quality work. Her grading criteria is extremely vague, with no feedback given. I had to drop this 200 level course so it wouldn't ruin my GPA. DO NOT TAKE HER.
