Ms. Ragland is very interested that her students learn. She created a website to help her students with self tests. She makes every effort to ensure that her students understand the material. I learned valuable material for my health.

Ms. Ragland is an excellent teacher. She covers everything from the textbook. She welcomes e-mails and responds quickly. She knows her stuff and she is very helpful. You must study, pay attention, do practice test via website and you will do well.

I had this wonderful Instructor for 3 classes and I never in a million years thought I could do as well I as I did. She makes everything understandable which therefor makes the class *easy*,but you earn your grade and there is a lot of work!!!

She is a good teacher. You need to listen and take notes and do good on the tests. Dont slack off in this class because your grade will go down. Lab assingments are easy. Lab Exam is hard! She always helps you if you dont know what you are doing. All in all she is a nice and easy going teacher.

Wanda Ragland is a great professor. She hands out class notes which are organized and right on with the lecture. She is super helpful. Anyone leaving a negaitve message on her is just a slacker.

Great teacher, had her hybrid class which is half online. She really knows her stuff and loves to teach, one of Macombs best teachers. I actually miss her class. She is not easy, but if you study her excellent notes and read a bit you will do fine and you will learn alot from her. Her notes are so good I actually enjoyed reading them.

I had Professor Ragland for A&P and after bombing the first lecture exam-was ready to give up! I have never had a professor TRY so hard to personally see to it that her student's succeed in her class. I ended up with an A and am SO GLAD I stuck with it...all thanks to her encouragement and study suggestions! An excellent instructor!

Best professor for A&P. I took it the first time with fields and by far ragland is much more interesting. Very helpful with test and offers extra points. You just have to study her notes and your good and she reviews whats going to be on a test.

Prof Ragland is the best professor to have for this course! She's very helpful, gives extra credit, has exam reviews. Pay attention in lab when she helps other students, you'll pick up hints on how to remember the parts! You don't need the 6th edition Thibodeau text, the 5th will work. I enjoyed this class & wished she taught pathogenic micro too.

I had a very hard time in this class. It is alot of work but Ms. Ragland was ALOT of help to me, without her i would have failed this class. I wish i could take all of my nursing classes with her

A&P is such a difficult class, especially taking it in a 6wk summer session! Ms. Ragland is a fantastic teacher, who clearly loves the subject and loves teaching. She was extremely helpful and was always available to answer questions.

The most incredible teacher I have EVER had! She is will do whatever it takes to help a student succeed as long as your willing to help yourself. She goes above and beyond with extra credit, extra study sessions, and tips and tricks to help you do well. She makes an intense class very doable and fun. I wish she taught all my classes.

She is great. The class is not a blow off. If you do the assignments the way you are instructed to, you will do well in the class. She does not like people that slack off, so make an effort. Those that complained about her are probably the ones that are not serious about the course. Highly recommended!

Professor Ragland been teaching Bio 2710 for many years she knows whats shes doing do not slack off in this class their is alot of material to go over use the book as a tool answer the study guide question that will be helpful for exams I tape her lecture which was helpful and I attend both sections for lab which help out for lab exams.

Very interesting class. I recommend you take this one by itself. Alot of material to learn in 16 weeks. Bio 1000 is NOT a required before hand but, I would recommend it.. Professor is GREAT and extremely helpful. Wants all students who want to succeed to SUCCEED! You put forth the effort and you you will succeed! Good Luck

GREAT TEACHER!! She might appear mean/rude to people with attitude. She is one rare teacher who would do her best to help you out if YOU want to succeed. She is "no-nonsense" kind of a teacher. I wish I had her for all classes. Follow her notes and the lecture(use of VR recommeded) and you will succeed.If you like to challenge yourself go for it!!!

Tests completely from her notes+lecture...opened my book once and ended up with an A in 6 weeks. It's a hard class, but lab is strictly memorization to ace and lecture is a lot more in depth thinking but doable. She may come off rude, but she wants you to succeed. If you are trying she will notice and help you out as much as she can. Great prof!

The class is difficult but she really knows the material. She keeps the lecture material down to what you NEED to know for that unit. She was willing to stay after class when possible to help students. Puts many worksheets and learning materials online for you to make use of. You get out what you put in.

Professor Ragland is intense. There wasn't a question she couldn't answer. You will come out with a lot of great information and knowledge if you you take her. Great teacher, she posts helpful quizes online, and everything in the exams are in the notes. It's hard and you have to study hard but it is worth it. She loves teaching the subject.

I took Ms. Ragland in January 2009. It was my first college class ever since high school 8 years before. I was also taking 3 other classes. She's hard but she gives you every resource you need to get an A. If you don't use them that's on you. She doesn't hold your hand but she'll give you a nudge in the right direction. Very fair teacher.

Very tough class! Professor Ragland makes this class extremely tough. The exams are a nightmare. The only way you will get an A is if you know the material backwards and forwards. She does, however, give you all the resources that you need and some extra credit. Is an A possible? Yes. Is it easy to get? No.

I just EARNED a B+ in her A&P class for Winter 2012 and I have never been so proud of myself. Make no mistake, this class is hard. Prof Ragland gives you everything you need to succeed, you just have to DO it. Go to class, take notes, do the optional worksheets. She can be intimidating at first but she ended up being one of my favorite teachers.

Tough class, tough teacher! She wants you to succeed only if you want to succeed. She has an attitude if you ask questions that are stupid to her. But she helps you when you ask, gives xtra credit. You have to study at the learning center to attempt to get an A.

The 1st time I took the class and dropped before thedrop date I switched teachers and tried someone new and did worse The 3rd time I went back to Raglan and I gotan A- she is tough but after the drop date passes this class gets easy because she teaches different and makes things easy going. By far Wanda Ragland is one of the best professors I have ever had. She is hard, but if you put in the work you will walk out of there with a clarity that you did not think you could obtain. She is very helpful and does not want to see you fail, but won't pass you if you do not do the work.

THERE IS A LOT OF MATERIAL! For a 6-credit class, be prepared to study! DO NOT MISS LECTURE! Great professor with a wealth of knowledge to share She truly knows her human biology, and she brings a lot of real world experience to the classroom. Don't expect an easy A. Best professor I've had!! This class is not a walk in the park. You have to put a lot of work into it and study study study!!! Professor Ragland is willing to answer any question you ask and help you understand. She teaches from a clinical aspect which most don't like, but I loved it. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Professor Ragland is brilliant and a wonderful human being. She says from day one you have to spend time studying outside of class and the students giving her bad scores are awful students. I spend every day in her office and she gives me all of her attention. If she taught nutrition and micro, she would be my teacher. I got an A, you can too.

Professor Ragland is extremely knowledgeable. She calls herself a "bio-geek", but it is obvious she is passionate about what she teaches and wants her students to leave her class prepared to tackle any health field they enter. This class is TOUGH. She is VERY willing to help you and offers worksheets and extra credit to help you learn concepts.

First off, do not listen to anyone who has said anything bad about Professor Ragland, because the people who do are the ones who slack, don't come to class, are immature and not ready for college. I don't agree with how A&P is joined at cc's as one class. Prof. Ragland is definitely the best choice as your instructor. She's sassy and arrogant, but she can back it up. Her tests are difficult but if you need to actually retain the information for anything in the future, (like, maybe, the HESI, hint) take her and don't give up.

While it is true that Ragland is tough on her students, she really makes you learn and retain the info. I went in not knowing anything about a&p and left with great knowledge which has helped me SO much in nursing school. If you want someone easy, don't even apply to the nursing program because you won't make it through. I'm thankful that I had her

If you're going into any program that requires you to understand how the human body works, take Professor Ragland. I transferred to Loyola University and I am still thankful for Ragland because concepts like neuromuscular transmission still come up. I remember everything she taught. Yes she's hard, but HUMAN ANATOMY is hard. GO TO HER OFFICE!

I took her nutrition class online fall semester 2016. At first I was overwhelmed (it was my first online class) I emailed her and was still unclear of certain directions. I asked her to call me and discuss, I understood way better! Do the study guides and know your material. Passed with a B+. She wants you to learn and understand not just memorize.

I am assuming the people who graded her badly didn't do well. If you put it the work and show effort to learn the material and not memorize, you will do great in the class. She is amazing, makes you critically think and guides you to the why behind the answer and doesn't just give it up. You really will learn from her, not just memorize for a grade

She was a pretty good teacher, she was just a little weird about having perfect grammar. In my opinion, this almost makes it harder to focus on the actual content of my work, rather than making sure I don't get points taken off my nutrition assignment for grammar errors.

I was nervous for this class due to the comments on here, but it wasn't bad at all. I enjoyed this course. Only thing that was confusing was the directions for the paper, but other than that, the rest was fairly easy and self explanatory. She was nice whenever I emailed and wasn't tough on grading my discussion posts!

The people who left negative reviews are people that aren't at a COLLEGE level in reading/writing. She expects COLLEGE-level responses/work. This class is a breeze & Professor Ragland is very helpful & responsive to emails. Her tone is subjective to the reader. You get ONE shot @ extra credit at the end of the class. It's a good class. Recommend.

Professor Ragland has high expectations for college-level work. While strict on grammar, the class is fairly easy with lots of extra credit opportunities. Unstuck ai proved helpful for exam prep alongside the textbook. Overall, a manageable course if you stay on top of your work.
