She is horrible she is not consistant and she is very arogant. If you do take her class keep syllabus the whole time because she likes to chjange grading criteria at the last minute. She is very confusing. She is the worst teacher I ever had. The work isn't hard but there is no way to garuntee a good grade.

I found Wanda to be a VERY unorganized instructor; Her grading system is very strict at the first of the semester and eases up a bit after the middle of the semester. She assigns nearly doulble the amount of writing that the state requires

This teacher is the worst english teacher! her grading policy is very harsh and does not give back any constructive feed-back. The class is simply about her political opinions. she is very rude and arogant. I have not learned anything, I do not know why she is even teaching! if you want to learn plaese do not take her! also she does not give A's.

If you take Wanda Sabir for any kind of english class you are setting yourself up for failure. She's more unorganized than anyone i ever seen in my life. This teacher is really unorganized and doesnt really know what she's doing, But she doesnt base ur grade on what u turned in, its how well she knows u. I got a B in her class just by showing up to class everyday. The assignments she gives dont make sense, you rarely turn anything in. she just assigns something then she forgets about it.

She is the worst teacher, I have ever had. No syllabus, very unorganized. You have to understand nothing but hip hop. Videos she shows are offensive. She will only like you if you understand the African American culture if not too bad.

She is a very unorganized teacher, that jumps around from subject to subject. She does not teach, she expects you to learn on your own and just reiterate the information to you. I took her class a couple semesters ago for English 1A and HIGHLY recommend NOT taking her class! This was the WORST teacher and class I have had to date! You won't learn much. She once told the class that Superman was all about white supremacy... The choice of literature in her class is poor.

Every day she decides to come to class late, at least 5 minutes late every single day. She is very difficult to understand and always rambles about irrelevant subjects. She gives a ton of "homework" that she ends up not even grading. She makes us buy books we hardly even touch except for the tedious and boring workbook.

the main problem about her is that she does not make clarity. when it comes to due dates she doesnt clarify the assigments that we are writing about. NOT HELPFULL AT ALL. she has teacher pets in her class and she doesnt like some people as well. she doesnt know what she is doing with the assignments because she doesnt explain it fully.

In the three days I spent in her class, we spent a lot of time waiting for her to arrive to class, deciphering Tupac lyrics, and fixing computers. If you really want to challenge your patience, then by all means, take her class.

Absolute worst teacher I've ever had in my life. Isn't clear at all about the assignments she gives. Extremely rude and condescending when talking to students..she talks down to you like you are dumb if you ask a question about the assignment. Over all the class is just a really boring waste of time, take this if you want to regret waking up.

Took English 5 during summer. Class started out with 60 students and only 8 remained at the end of the course. Not pointing any fingers but out of the 8 students the black kid got a A while everyone else got a C. And all of our papers were written the same way she wanted us to??

Worst teacher I've ever had. No communication. Very rude toward clarifying questions. I wouldn't take another class from her even if it meant I had to stay at COA for an extra semester. Be ready to fight til the end for your grade because I sure had to. We read a self help book as the focus of the semester. It was a joke.

I would not recommend taking Sabir. Her grades are based off her opinions and she is often unclear in what she wants. Posting on her blog is useless; she rarely comments on it. Outside the education system, she is a wonderful person with a nice personality.

I unfortunately had to drop this course due to the inability to keep up and understand what she wanted exactly. Wanda is a very nice woman, I feel bad for giving her such a low rating, I would like to see more organization.

She is completely unclear on what she wants. She had us working on a "project" she made up along the way and we still had no idea what to do. We did nothing on the syllabus she gave us. What should've been an English class turned into Social Justice Warrior class. I should be coming out as a stronger writer, not a "activist".

The 1st day of class felt as if we had been in class for a month and 3 essays are due next week. She is extremely confusing and wants to see u sweat, not succeed. If u are straight out of high school going to school part time. U might pass. If u work, have children, a single mother/father, taking more than 9 units , or all. It not worth the stress

I would strongly advise choosing another professor She is extremely unorganized and easily persuaded to deviate from her plan. She is not strict wither students so no one does the essays or homework. She also can be very rude and defensive. Her syllabus was not clear as to what books we needed so we always had to buy books last minute.

Should've seen this site first. I've got nothing to say what hasn't already been said. We had assignments all over the place out of nowhere, and I feel my writing skills have dropped since taking the class. Nice person, but bad teacher. Also, had some SocJus themes which were off putting to me.

I mean She's nice don't get me wrong, however just her teaching style was very out of order. If you get to know her it will be a little easier so she will know your pace but other than that good luck.

One of the worst professors I've ever had at alameda. It takes her a long time to grade things. Gets offended when you ask a question in class about the work. Also, this professor doesn't go by the syllabus so it's hard.

Wanda is a nice person so I feel bad for having to leave her a bad review. She is very unclear, says one thing in class but says another on moodle. Due dates aren't posted. Mostly all we've done has just been clowning certain politicians, which is entertaining, but it doesn't have anything to do with the critical thinking curriculum.

If you get her as your teacher drop the class or change professors. She won't grade your stuff no matter how much you ask her to. Im writing this so you don't have to dread a whole semester. She IS the worst teacher I've ever had. All the reviews are correct. I didn't listen and I suffered. She doesn't know how to spell for an english teacher!?!?? She doesn't even know the difference between yours and you're. She grades horribly, she doesnt even read and gives you C's anyways

I was dropped by her without even knowing. I was unable to turn in an essay because the prompt needed to be approved by her before it was made available to you. I emailed her multiple times and received no response and then was withdrawn from the class. Many assignments with no clear answer. Waste of time.

I have a degree in Communications and I have been a technical writer for 25 years. I have to take this class in order to get into nursing school. I wish I had checked Rate My Professor before I picked this class and Ms. Sabir as instructor. In the first two weeks she graded none of my papers. The assignments showed her activism more than anything.

Sabir Wanda is a very tough grader. She also doesn't very often check the work unless something is missing and immediately gives you a zero and no partial credit. She's also very distant from the class. Her work is kind of lazy and unorganized and only very few people are attending to it because of this.

This Professor is the worst one can pick, if you need this class and she is the last one dont be like me AND IGNORE all the other comments thinking its just them. I literally got an F after doing so much work. At least deserved a C. I took another English class and passed with flying colors!
