not that bad of a teacher. very fair. a lot of notes tho.
Very fair professor. Attendance was 40 % of the grade , which I wasn't crazy about , but I showed up every day and she let me sleep in peace as long as I wasn't drooling or snoring with my head down on the desk. She gave me exactly the grade I deserved and gave everyone a chance for extra credit.

Knows her stuff and really enjoys hearing her own voice. Snore-fest. I was very excited about taking this class and she ruined it. I did well but her "test" rules were unclear and she is very judgemental. Isn't very patient, likes to talk not listen.
She uses powerpoints to teach the class but they are very clear and she explains everything. It is a very interesting course, but don't come to class tired! Very nice person!
If you're a good student, she'll drive you crazy because she lets students walk all over her. Attendance counts, so everyone shows up (late) and sleeps. She gives so much extra credit that you don't need to bother to study. Some discussions were interesting, and it was an easy A.
GO TO CLASS it counts!!! she does let the class take control..... so dont be afraid to yell at a fellow classmate because you think they are an idiot....
took summer course. i thought she was PHENOMENAL. it's different when all that work is crammed into 5 weeks. we had like 4 chapters covered on each test. she was so knowledgable and i understood her perfectly.
She was to strict on meaningless things. Her lectures are boring but you STILL need to pay attention. Avoid her if you absolutely dont need the class!
Take her online and write essays that are a page long for every post like you have no life then you might pass. If you don't you wont. Also, you have to take the tests at the school on either MWF so be perpared to hual yourself out there. As far as her personally shes nice but shes not cut out to be a teacher.
The class was boring and her monotone lectures didn't help. She also insulted my friend a few times.
I thought online class would be easy enough, however she makes us come to campus for tests. I also found her to be very inflexible in her schedule for online students. I have never taking her class in person so maybe she is better than this format - I would NOT take her again though!
I thought she was an Excellent Professor (Very knowlegable in her field). Not the easiest professor I ever had, but I passed her class with "flying colors" and at least I know that I "earned"" my grade... it wasn't GIVEN to me!!! I would definitely take her again.

i found her to be an effective professor who knows her feild very well. id take her again.
one word for this teacher...BORING
I thought she was a good teacher but her grading was bad
This professor was extremely clear on her expectations and what was going to be on exams. She isn't an easy professor, but she was fair and you really got the grade you deserve. She also is willing to give extra credit if you want it. I'd take one of her classes again.
she only read off of her slide notes..really boring and you had to attend class or else you lost points off or your final grade
She was very clear on exactly what was expected of you and how your grade was given. Attendance was 40% of your grade. Tests were 60 multiple choice questions. Entire lecture was on power point. I took this class in the summer and it was a lot of information to cram into 5 weeks. Overall, a very good class.
Interesting class but lectures do not prepare you well for the exams. You really need to read. Kind of boring, class isn't really all that exciting. Her test were hard and the questions were confusing.
she was a fantastic and straightforward teacher, helpful when you needed it. also tells you everything that will show up on a test, rather easy!
This teacher should not teach an online class. Her test questions were ambiguous, and difficult to follow. The mini lectures she used were not important to any evaluation content. Sadly, it was an exercise in how to take a poorly written quiz or test and therefore, taught me very little about psychology. I am disappointed that I paid money and
Poorly written tests... teacher so worried about students cheating that she forgot to teach us something.
I took this class online. She is way too focused on people cheating. I mean seriously, why teach an online course if you are so worried about people cheating on your test? I did well in the class, but don't feel like I learned much.
Easy A. I took the class over the summer, so the two hour lectures did sometimes get boring and off topic, but overall I thought she was a good teacher. There were three tests and 40% of grade was attendance, but I went to class everyday, never touched the book and still learned all I needed to for the tests. She knows what she's doing.
DO NOT take her online class. She's more concerned about the length of the online discussion posts than the actual content. She's also so worried about people cheating on the tests that her test questions are ridiculously confusing.
She is the worst teacher ever!!! she sets you up for failure!! she is so worried about cheating on an exam she words everything in a way you will not get the right answer!!! she does not help you at all!!! she should not be teaching in online class!! if you want to fail PSY 212!! take it with her online!! a little advice....DONT TAKE HER!!!!!
great professor, explains everything to the full extent. will actually learn and love what her psychology class has to offer.
if taking the online course with her make sure that your discussions are very thorough, she expects detail in every sentence! She is harsh on grading, and not flexible with extentions.
Awful Professor. She made me cry because she wanted to argue a point with me that was something personal after I said repeatedly that she was right and I did not want to continue the conversation. She uses a text that is not coherrent with the material we are learning in class. Easy A with all the papers, but not worth seeing her everyday.
She is an excellent teacher. Attendance is a must and will earn you a large percentage of your grade. While it is wise to study, she has a very clear teaching style that will help greatly. Her insights into the topics we covered were thought-provoking, even when I did not agree with her. Her review sheets are very helpful when it comes to the test.
likes to hear herself talk and talk and talk and talk. i didn't like her. she was a bully to some people.
One of the most intelligent professors at MCC. Uses stories from her life and current events to help solidify concepts. Her classes are a bit lecture-heavy, but she keeps class interesting. She really knows her stuff and isn't afraid of answering questions. Also a great adviser and overall wonderful person. NOT an easy A, but yes, worth your time.
She was an ok teacher but I hated that she used her class as her own personal grandstand for the presidential election. That was all she talked about in a psych class know one cares about who you would vote for!!
Do not take her!! Her test are not fair! she does not teach out of the text she only teaches from her personal thoughts! reading the text was a waste of time....the text says one thing and she says another! shes confusing!
Took the course online. Prof Willard was one of the best teachers at MCC. You could actually talk to her (as long as your professional). She did not make you feel intimidated when asking a question. She is very personable. Tests are very difficult & based on minor detail, not understanding concepts. Great response time.
I took the online class and it was fantastic. Very writing intensive- but much more interesting than sitting in a lecture hall with little participation.
completely nit picky on online tests and discussion questions have to be a year long and are about completely boring subjects. dont take her online
I took this class online. It was a disaster (and I have taken many online class) when I emailed her with a question she would tell me to look up the answer myself! I mean really?? discussions need to be like an essay, the exams are not fair at all. And she offers no extra credit, not a fair class in my opinion. I would not recommend her.
Horrible!! I took this online. She's one of the worst prof's I've ever had. If you email her, she will NOT respond. She is not lenient AT ALL. Her tests are some of the worst I've ever taken. Very convoluted and confusing; answer choices are vague. This should be an easy class but she makes it difficult just b/c of her style. Avoid her if possible
Worst online teacher ever. On the exams online you think you are getting a question correct and think you did alright but then you end up doing horrible because the questions are not clear at all and so nit-picky!! don't take her online because a psychology class should not be this hard!
Professor Willard is extremely bright and funny. She knows her stuff and her class is not easy, but that's part of the reason I enjoyed it. If you're looking for an easy A, don't take her courses. If you want to learn something and be tested on your critical thinking skills, this is one of the best classes you can take at MCC.
Professor Willard is a great professor. I took PSY 201 (got an A) and 212 (got an A-)with her online. There is a lot of work required in her class but all of her expectations are clearly stated right from the beginning. She was easy to work with and very understanding when I had a serious issue come up. I would take a class with her again.
Makes her expectations clear, follow them and you will be fine. Very helpful teacher
Her tests are so hard and she doesn't ever give out the answers so there is no way to improve. Online is nice, but way more work.
its all very real! will you not verify me? sign- a genius who found a way
She was a good teacher for the most part but at the start of the semester she would often answer certain people's questions and ignore others. Go to as many classes as possible as it affects your grade. Read the chapters, study the slides and take notes. study hard for tests and you'll do well since the grades depend only on tests not on homework.
I took Prof. Willard's online class during the summer, so the workload was a lot. She is very fair, however, she doesn't tell you what you miss on the tests so you just have to guess. You should definitely be a decent writer if you take this class online as that is what most of the work involves.
Really good professor, class is very well structured, she is very entertaining! Never was bored in her class! She explains things very clearly as well.
HORRIBLE!!!!! she fly's threw slides and even says blah blah blah while she does it. Whats worse is she finds a way to talk about sex in every class.honestly I don't know how shes still a teacher is obvious that she doesn't care about her students at all.
Good teacher and very funny. she keeps class interesting. The class is not the hardest final grade is based on unit exams and attendance thats all.
Pros:Don't need to buy book, she uses powepointss. Her exam review sheets really helped. Just study for an hour two days before the test. And got an A. Wasn't too boring. Negatives: You gotta show up everyday. Attendence is 40%. I disliked how she went off topic, and skipped slides at the end of class. Would take it with her again tho.
Professor Willard is an awesome teacher! She makes her expectations very clear from the beginning. She gives you lots of support. She uses powerpoints for class, which are available to print before, so I didn't need the book often. She based the grades on attendance, tests, and gave lots of support and extra credit She's great! I got an A.
Had her online class for the summer semester, got an A. She is really good about letting you know what is expected of you. The class contisted of 4 essays, with 2 responses to other students, and 4 final exams, which she provides you study sheets for. There is alot of reading, but if you work at it, its an easy A. Great teacher.
My experience w/her was great--online summer session. You need to read book & mini lectures. Great review sheets & tests not confusing at all! 4 tests and 4 discussions: 1 primary(4-500 words)& 2 responses(250 words). She's very clear on expectations. She wants good articulation & spelling...cry me a river why don't you! Welcome to adulthood! lol
Wonderful Professor! Took the '11 summer online class and got an A. Lots of reading. 4 multiple choice tests (45mins limit, 4 Essays or Primary responses (400-500 words) and 8 mini essays or Secondary responses (200-300 words). If you read the book and mini-lectures, do well on your discussion responses and tests, it's an easy A. And I hate psych!
She was great. I was scarry to take her , because of the notes she received here. well, maybe she used to be harder. just stick with her and she will be glad to help you. class funny, tests are challenging and can be tricky. attendance almost 40% of final grade.wish i could take her again, but i already graduated.
professor wiliard is amazing extremly intelligent and if you take the time to put in the effort she does go the extra mile for you !
will you not verify me? think outside the box. illogically.-sign a genius who found a way!
This was a great class, Professor Willard is great, she is clear on her expectations and is fair. I would definately take her again and recommend her highly!!!!
This was my second extremely positive experience with Professor Willard. She is knowledgeable and fair. Her expectations are clear. What moer could you ask for? She keeps discussions fun and open with a lot of emphasis on class involvement. I've learned a ton from her. Tests are challenging. She's got it down to a science. Highly recommmend.
Tests were easy. I got 80's and 90's without listening to a single lecture or reading the textbook. Professor is mediocre though. She got off topic a lot and didn't clearly go through topics and would often run out of time because of tangents she went on. I would take this course from someone else.
Her PSY 201 Honors class is simply great. I love learning from her. Everything she does is crystal clear, her tests may be challenging but definitely fair. I high recommend her if you are a studious student! She really is a great person.
I didn't like her, but if you really want to take this class, it's worth it. She reads from the power-point & expects you to print out everything required for class. She goes through the slides faster than I could write, & I write fast + won't always go back. Thinks she understands what your asking & then goes on a tangent about her opinions.
I took her PSYCH 261 course which is Psychology of Learning and Behavior Disorders. I was happy with her as a teacher. She doesn't give homework, so you have to do really good on the tests. Very straight forward with what is expected. Teaches off the powerpoints, and gives you review sheets that tell you what will be on the tests.
Phenomenal professor. I took 212 and 230.Was afraid at first to take two classes with her in one semester, but definitely worth it.Taught much more than the text and gave much insight on everyday life. She'll make you work for your grade, but thats how college works people, you show up and read the text.Been here 3 years and by far she is the best.
awesome teacher
By far the best professor I've had in my 2 years at MCC. Crystal clear in her expectations from students and is extremely organized and prepared. I've taken two classes from her and I've learned that if you attend class and study hard for her tests, you'll be just fine.
Took her online psy 201 class, she is very clear with EVERYTHING. The discussions are great for people like me who are terrible test takers. You have to read the text book and use all the tools she gives you to have great posts and do good on the exams. I really liked taking her class online taking one next semester as well.
She is very organized and writes out everything you need to do in a clear way that is easy to understand. If you need help she is very willing and her efforts help. However her tests are nearly impossible you REALLLLLYYY need to study and read every inch of the textbook like 5 times and she offers no extra cedit or re tests or anything
Prof.Willard had a very organized course outline which I loved. The requirements and what a student needs to do/work on to learn and get a great grade are all outlined in the course syllabus, tough to get lost if you have a professor like that, inspiring actually. She is a great Psych 212 professor, I would highly recommend her Psych 212 class!
Excellent psych teacher- time flies by and it is interesting and relevant to your life
I took her online PSY 212 course. She is crystal clear on what she expects from you in every discussion but her expectations are very high. Her tests cover 4 chapters (appx. 400+ pages), a review packet that's all irrelevant, and she gives you 45 minutes to complete. She may be clear but she is a HARD professor online. I don't recommend her for SL.
Great class, great teacher. All prospective teachers should take this class with her. Class is relatively easy, just 6 multiple choice tests of 30 questions each. Now that's my kind of class. I highly recommend taking it with her..
Very very hard! The wording of her tests are extremely complicated, especially if your a bad test taker like me. Also, she doesn't offer any extra credit or re-tests :( I studied every inch if the text, but still ran into complications with the wording of the tests.
Although this class is pretty cut and dry, it is not easy! There are only 6 exams with 30 multiple choice questions. Go to class, plain and simple. You will not coast in this class. You need to actually read the chapters, study and go to class. Do this and you'll do well.
Best psychology teacher you will have (I've went through many psych professors at MCC). Taken 3 psych classes with her (develomental, sleep and dreaming, abnormal psych), some which were re takes, and she is by the far the best. She's clear, fair. Read her powerpoints and study her study guide, and show up to class, then its impossible to fail.
She's a good professor. Take her class you have a lot of reading to do. Likes to read off of power point. Your grade comes from your tests and attendance. If you don't get bored easily take her class.
Professor Willard is just wonderful! I did not do well in Psych 101 and thought this course would be difficult for me but it was not at all. She is very clear about her expectations and provides students with everything they need to succeed in this course. There is a lot to cover and she does a fine job of keeping students engaged. Take her class!
She was horrible made you feel very stupid and was unpleasant to work with. Her test are very tough and she always goes out of your way to make you feel dumb compared to her. Avoid her at all costs!!!
This was overall a great class. Discussions go well as long as you follow her grading for it and complete each required task. Tests are difficult though, I used my book for the last two and failed. She told me I shouldn't have used my book.
Adult student back to school for a nurse degree. Wanda was not fair with grading written papers. If you do not say what she wants to hear, your grade will not score well. Her tests were tough, class average on tests was C, I maintained an 85 average on her tests:) She is very opinionated while grading written assignments. I am a P.T.K. member.
Wanda is affable. This class consisted of Powerpoint lectures and multiple choice tests. She knows extra information about the material, especially on health-related subjects. She emphasizes practical takeaways from the course. She has her Powerpoints online, which is very convenient. Overall, an easy class. I walk away with new perspectives.
This is my second class with Prof. Willard. She lectures, with participation and discussion highly encouraged! Lectures follow powerpoints closely, with powerpoints readily available on Blackboard. Projects due during semester are based on student experience. and are more interesting from that perspective! Highly recommend!
I LOVED this class with Professor Willard. It is one of the most fun, interesting and coolest classes I have ever taken. Classes are long because it is once a week, but you get breaks throughout the class. Dreaming and Sleeping is very interesting, and she makes it that way. I really recommend taking this class, as well as any other of her classes
Take her class in person if possible vs online. Online exams are 99% based on reading the textbook (very limited lecture info posted online). Even with an open book exam questions were tricky, and I'm an excellent test taker in general. Seemed like there was more than one correct answer many times. Overall good teacher. Interesting material.
I took developmental psych expecting to work hard, but also expected to be able to do reasonably well. Professor Willard's grading was very tough. I missed the first assignment because of a misunderstanding and was left with a C+ until the last week of class because of it. I felt as though she graded me poorly because she had a different opinion.
Good professor but very serious about her class. only based on 6 tests and attendance. I didn't use the book and am an ok test taker and got a B+. if I could do it over I would've read the book and gotten the A. Study for your tests and print out her lecture notes in advance, she moves quickly! overall pretty good class with her.
Professor Willard was amazing! She is so intelligent and knowledgeable about what she is teaching as well as funny and passionate. Refreshing to have an MCC professor with college expectations and lectures. USE HER STUDY GUIDES and you're golden, grade is half tests, half attendance, you can boost up a letter grade just from going to class.
Confusing
I love Professor Willard She is very well organized, always post grades on time, and follows the class schedule in its entirely. Not once did Willard cancel class; she is a very dedicated professor that will use her free time to help all of her students. I just love this lady.
A lot of reading and writing, Exam wording not clear at all very hard.... struggled with the clarity of the question on exams. Did give great feedback with discussions and replies. For the amount of child rearing education, I have (over 20 yrs of child care classes for licensing) I really struggled with the questions exams.
If you take her 3 hour class once a week, SHOW UP. Attendance is almost 40% of your grade. Tests are somewhat confusing and hard but there is a review sheet. Lectures are long and boring, taking notes may help but she goes fast through the Power Points. Very strict teacher, I did not enjoy attending this class. Textbook is helpful.
Test q's are intentionally vague, (per prof) you have to reason out the answer. Grading rubric for written work is several pages long, very confusing & not exhaustive. Lost surprise points for using different references from the same text page in two separate discussion posts & for using extra references from outside the chapter to support post.
She is a helpful teacher and if you ask for help, you will receive it. However, what will drop your grade are the discussions and the tests. You have to cite pretty much everything you write, and if you miss one, expect your grade to drop. The tests are hard too. Overall, there's not much coursework.
Boring lectures. Tons of information.
Took the online class with Professor Willard over the summer. Her grading criteria was not clear for the content of discussions, and she often seemed to be looking for a particular answer rather than the open ended opinion based way the discussion topic was worded. The test questions were purposefully tricky and there was no way to find the answer.
Although the class is interesting; her lectures are downright terrible and extremely boring!! If she didn't repeat herself then the class could take up half the time that it does. Show up, pay attention half the time and complete the projects then you'll have an A.
She is great. SLN (especially PSY) classes are always difficult. I had her for 212 and now 201 & don't regret my choice. There is a lot of reading. She is definitely there to help you. Aside from being online, she has an amazing personality and is very friendly & approachable. I would definitely recommend her.
The tests are based on powerpoints, lecture, and the book which all contradict each other with some regularity. She does provide exam review sheets, however they are as disorganized as her lectures and not adhered to on the exams. The curriculum, material, and instruction are poor at best. This did not feel like college level instruction.
Horrible... Lectures are some of the worst I've seen ever. States things that Don't match with the book. Takes test questions from random places and makes studying virtually useless because of her disorganization. I would highly recommend choosing another instructor if you want to get anything out of the class or maintain a GPA.
Very tough grader and is not willing to work with you. My suggestion would be to stay clear!
Professor Willard is a great Professor! Her Power Points are easy to follow and organized, and her lectures are often very interesting and relatable. Half of the grade is attendance and the other half is the test grades. There are a total of 6 tests. The tests are fairly easy if you really study the power points. I bought the book, never opened it.
Willard has very strict grading criteria. After being marked off for things like not citing correctly, or citing things from the "wrong" chapter, I reached out to her for clarification. She is very good about giving VERY in depth responses on clarification if you ask for it, but I felt like her clarification didn't help and confused me more.
I took child development psych with Prof Willard online. She is very particular and a tough grader. I felt like every time I fixed something in my discussions she found something else to nitpick. Be sure to read the textbook & study for the tests. Make sure you have the right number of citations for each point you're making. Overall, did not enjoy
As mentioned, this professor is a tough grader. That being said, she is very clear about this at the beginning of the course with her requirements. Discussions and quizzes, but make sure you do the reading. I thought tests were hard. As long as you follow instructions for discussions you'd get a good grade.
This class was a good class. Prof tho was very hard headed, her way or the highway. Very knowledgeable nonetheless. Got certified in this class which was cool. Tests are very content heavy so study well. Would be best to print off her PPoints bc she flies by the slides. She keeps track of attendance so try not to miss. She grades weirdly too
She's a good teacher. But is very specific about what she wants included in each assignments, especially the discussions. Also, she's a tough grader. If you do all the work and specifically meet the requirements of each assignment, then you will get a good grade.
Worst teacher ever, gives poor feedback. Talks in circles and grades unprofessionally. Her tests are 25 questions and you only have 45 minutes to complete which is by far not enough time. She switches the questions up to confuse you and none are starightfordward. Her study guides are a joke, not helpful in the least.
Prof Willard is a tough grader, the class is lecture heavy, and the tests are content heavy with confusing questions. Would recommend printing out her slides because she flies through them in class. I gave up trying to take notes. She's very "her way or the highway", and when answering questions in class can make you feel stupid.
Very intelligent, however if you want an easy A don't bother because you will have to work for your grade. She tends to fly thru powerpoints but she literally makes exam study guide with everything you will need to know. Overall I feel like I learned a lot from her class
Summer class online. Prof Willard is tough with everyone and everything! You will need the book, if not you will fail!!!!!!!!!! Come prepared. If you want a good grade you will have to earn it. No hand outs, and NO EXTRA CREDIT. I worked really hard, I only received a C, however it was so intense that C felt like an A.
Wanda Willard is the worst professor I have ever had. I am currently getting my masters at UB but need a few classes on the side so I am taking them online at MCC. She is not caring at all. She is very picky about her grading. She writes her own rules on how to use APA format and if you don't follow them, you will not pass. SHE BLOWS.
Good luck... lol. I would NEVER recommend Wanda Willard. If you can avoid her, do it. She is pretty bad.
Professor Willard was an amazing professor. She really knows her stuff. Her lectures made class very interesting. If you study, follow her lectures, and read you will do fine! Make sure you attend class! Half of your grade is just based on attendance. I would definitely take a class with her again.
Professor Willard is very particular when it comes to doing online discussions. You cannot post your discussion and respond to others discussion in the same day. Very confusing at first. Would've received an A if she didn't count the "test to get into the course" as an actual grade towards your final grade.
WORST PROFESSOR EVER!!!! Her study guides can be helpful BUT for each topic on the study guide... you have to go with a magnifying glass in the textbook and find EVERY little detail about that topic. You will NOT get by without reading the textbook. the discussions are easy but the tests are not. There is no extra credit at all!! she wont help.
I did not agree with her grading. She graded more like an English teacher than a Psychology Teacher. She grades hard. This class is all on concepts of Psychology. She will not give you any answers. You must read the book, and understand all the material. I did not enjoy this class as much as I thought I would have.
She has all the information you need to pass and do well in the class uploaded to Blackboard, so just pay attention. She responds during working hours with helpful responses. She gives clear and helpful feedback.
I was intimidated by the reviews, but if you carefully read everything in her CIS (again and again), you'll be fine. Work load is very manageable. One primary post and 2 replies due every 3-4 weeks and 5 exams. That's it. She expects thoughtful and well-written posts. If you're looking to get an A for doing the bare minimum, she's not for you.
Rude and condescending. Not personable. Do NOT take a class with her. I am a person that loves structure and strict teachers but she’s just rude and awful. There is a difference between rude and strict. She is disrespectful and rigid!!!
Read and reference the course information sheet often. She provides all the resources you need to do well in the class. Be prepared to keep up with the readings and for dense material. Don't expect to receive a good grade if you are not putting in the time. Overall a good professor though. Gives good feedback and is clear with expectations.
There are not enough words that describe how amazing of a professor she is here. She cares a lot about her students, She provides great feedback, her assignments are straightforward, she's easy to contact outside of class, she makes learning really fun and the tests are not that challenging if you read. I highly recommend taking any class she teaches!
Willard was very inclusive and sweet. I took her class online and it was easy to navigate on Blackboard since she is straightforward. There will be 5 tests and 5 online discussions the one with the lowest grade will be dropped. Make sure to read the syllabus to get the most points on your discussion and read the textbook for the tests.
Professor Willard is very nice, but a very tough grader. I took the online class and she doesn't actually teach you anything. You just have to read the textbook and remember the most random details for tests. She literally has at least 10 different documents that you have to read just to know what's expected in the course.
She refused to take into account that the University dropped me by accident, and let another student take my spot. This resulted in holding me back from graduating another semester.
She is an extremely hard grader. You must read the syllabus in order to know what her expectations are and there are like 10 tabs to go through. One of her reviews says she grades more like an english professor than a psychology which is 100% right. Awful experience with her.
I have taken a few classes online with this professor they were very information heavy however it's presented in an organized way and is very much meant to help pass the exams. Participation online is important, as well as following directions for discussion posts. Overall she's very fair and cares about student success.
Professor Willard is great. She gives clear expectations for what she expects from assignments. I definitely recommend taking a class with her!
She grades participation and attendance!!! If your not someone who always goes to class I suggest "don't take her classes" because it's all lecture based and discussion.
Professor Willard's class requires a book, but you really don't need it. Lectures give you all the information you need and the slides are available online. Attendance is graded, but you get 3 missed classes before you lose any points. She consistently lectures 2-3 minutes past class end time, though.
Professor Willard's class is straightforward. The online format and clear expectations make it manageable. I found Unstuck AI and the textbook helpful for prep. Overall, a decent class if you stay on top of the work.
I didn't mind the class work itself, the tests were all right as long as you studied and ahe was a fair grader with the essay. However, it felt like she had no control over the classroom. People would tell long stories that weren't related, and we ended up missing out on lectures that then we were graded on. It was frustrating.
Excellent Professor! Very kind and caring and sets clear expectations for students. Lectures are tons of fun. It's fairly easy to do well as long as you put in the effort. Overall, she's a great professor and a really nice person.
This class was fairly easy. The only 2 things you were graded was attendance and tests. Tests were around every 2-3 weeks. I got a textbook but after the first 2 weeks I stopped reading and did fine. I'd just recommend studying and showing up to class. Lectures were usually pretty interesting!
