This professor really knows what she is talking about!! She is really really nice and is willing to help anyone... she gives really good tests and excellent reviews....she is really really cool and down to earth....likes to talk about beer.....lol

Quizzes/Exams = Study Guide. Explains things a million times until she's sure you understand. Holds good tutorials, keeps things at students' levels... gives out candies during exams! :) Gives excellent notes and you are sure to know what's on the exams. Very very good prof

Probably one of the best economics profs at MUN. She gives extra tutorials and really prepares you for tests and final. I recommend getting her! :)

If you take economics you NEED wanda. She is a very good prof who genuinely cares for her students. her quizzes and tutorials are all you need to study and you will do well.

Very very easy course... almost too easy! It doesn't feel quite as good getting a 100 when there are NINE 100's in the class (on the second midterm). I think there were like Five or more 100's on the first midterm also. Easy

I'd never even heard of PILF before reading the comments on Ms. Wiseman, but I have to concur. She seems fine so far but the class is still in progress. If she turns out to be a good prof as well this is a total win-win!

She really tries to get the class into her letures, she uses examples that are helpfull, just all around a great teacher

She is the best prof i had her for both Eco2020 and 2010. There is no doubt she knows what she is talking about and she helps you alot which is good too. Her quizzes and examples are dead giveaways for all her exams. Its too bad she doesnt teach all the other eco's courses:( i highly recommend her as a prof!

Wicked Prof. If you have to do economics she's the best person to do it with! She gives extra tutorials and really cares about how well you do in her course. She's ridiculously hot which makes learning all that more exciting

Why should I lie to you! I dont even know you! this prof is the BEST, you hear me. I said she is the BEST!

Ms. Wiseman is an extremely committed teacher. She knows the material and is able to explain at the level needed . She is more than willing to help in and out of class. She respects you for trying and for good attitude towards work . Overall she is an excellent prof.

The best prof in economics

I took her a couple of years ago. Without a doubt the best prof to take for this course. Everything is crystal clear with her, and she's not hard on the eyes either.

She's a good prof and knows her stuff. Gives take-home quizes for extra marks, and free tutorials. Go to the tutorials! That being said, I felt as if she had her favorites in class and tended not to like you if you were doin bad in her course. Moves fast over material sometimes too.Exams weren't easy. Actually takes the time to learn students names

I am taking her for Micro over all I find her teaching to be good. She tries to use practical examples, and she takes her own time to provide tutorials (Shes' a per course instructor, so she has a full time job outside of MUN) I missed a number of classes because I was sick, I e-mailed her questions and she responded quickly!

Really Great Prof! She gave plenty of practice multiple choice some of which would show up again on the tests. She also told us the guideline for what the long answer would be on the mid-terms. I hated economics before having her for 2020 and now I would take another economics course just for fun!

Awesome Prof! Loved her, she was a sweatheart! Answers all your questions, the only time she was "snippy" in our class was when one fella kept asking something she just went over. She really cares about her students, wants everyone to do well, makes it interesting. She tries to convince everyone to major in Econ and does a good job, worked for me.

She is a great prof! Loved attending her class and she was extremely helpful. Her exams were fair and she is a very easy person to talk to if you have any problems!

Good professor. Slides were all emailed to you early in course so you had all necessary material. If you went to class, she really stressed on the important material and made no secret about what was going to be tested. *Should be able to get an 80 with minimal work.

Great prof, provides a lot of examples. Has a tendency to be late for class every class. Exams are fair and if you go to class you will practically know whats on the exam. Make sure you buy the book because she always refers to the graphs!

Excellent Prof. If u do the excercise pay attention and follow the study guide, practice questions, ur made. Buy into her system, and u will do excellent. Not a hard class, but very factual information is presented. She's Good, one of the better Sessional Instructors at MUN.

She is great, if you read the chapters in the text book, go to class, do all the practice exercises she gives (and there are many) you will be fine. I loved this class and this prof. I would totally recommend this prof and she will completely help you out with juggling the weight of the midterms/exam. A great prof!!

Her notes are pretty bad, but she goes through lots of example during class and that was the biggest help. For econ 2010, take her advice with using the study guide. Most of the questions on her exams came straight from the guide. Also use the textbook. Overall she was a good prof!

She's the best prof I've had. She really enjoys teaching and gives pretty good tests. Hands out lots of examples. Study all examples. because she usually puts a good few of those on her tests ! And use study guide for practice. Wanda is awesome

VERY good prof! gives lots of good examples and practice multiple choice which are VERY similar to midterm and final exam questions. She goes over topics multiple times and really drills them in your head for the exams. would take her again in a heartbeat!

To say Wanda is a great professor is an understatement. She's much more than that. Understanding, super kind and friendly are just a few of the words to describe her. Not only makes you comfortable with the material but treats you like you're a person, unlike many professors. It was a pleasure to take this course with her. Highly recommended.

Ms. Wiseman is a great economics prof. I took the night class with her and it was less painful than the hour and 15 minute class I had the previous semester. I would recommend a class with her.

She is the best prof I have in my first semester! She is very good at explaining concepts and will go over them until they're understood. She gives bonus marks whenever she can (extra assignmentsquestions that are added to exams). Also, she gives a lot of help times and office hours. If you have the option make sure you get her!

I had Wanda for Intro to Macroeconomics and she was amazing. Very down to earth, easily understood and she really wants her students to understand the concepts and do well, therefore; she putts a lot of time into explaining the concepts and making sure everyone is on the same page. I took Wanda for both econ1010 and 1020. She cares about her students, she is very approachable and flexible with assignments. The textbook is nice to have for studying but not necessary. She does use MyEconLab for assignments so the online code is necessary. Only downside is she has another job so only teaches night classes but she is worth it!!

if you want to learn how the "stock market" and the world economies work. take ECON 1010 and ECON 1020. Believe me it is worth every bit of it, especially once you absorb the material. Wanda is an excellent professor. had her when it was ECON 2020 in Summer 2009 (Noon Class Monday Wed Fri), what a gem, she's a bloody saint and excellent professor.

Excellent choice for Econ 1010. The first thing I did when registering for winter 2021 was find sign up for her 1020 class. Three short (easy) labs, two term tests (fair and *no surprises*), and a final exam. A++++ WANDA!!!

If 100% of the people here would take her again, then she's doing something right, and she is. She will probably be the best prof you've ever taken. I have no words for how generous, caring, and considerate (but don't take advantage of it!) she is. She made my online university experience this year less stressful 100% would take her again

great teacher for introductory econ classes, super helpful and takes her time with the class. She does tend to be slightly more snail passed than I would like, but any one would be lucky to have her as a teacher! especially so if you are new to uni classes

Had her for both Micro and Macro. She is a very easy grader, and her exams/labs are straightforward and not difficult at all. Her lectures are nice to watch, but the course is very easy to get in general if you enjoy business. If you want an easy going prof with an enjoyable course, then I definitely recommend taking professor Wiseman!

Professor Wiseman was very clear on the course requirements and very helpful. She was pretty lenient around deadlines and very helpful with any concerns that were communicated. I would definitely take another course with her.

Wanda is a very nice instructor, and she tries to make the course as easy as possible for students. Two assignments, two midterms, a final and you are done. She also provides review sections for those assignments, midterms and final. Accessible and responds to emails quickly.

She is really nice to everyone and teaches quite well. Memorial should have more professors like her.

Dr. Wiseman knows what she talks about for sure. She also cares about her students doing well. Her lectures are easy to follow, and she will ensure you understand things by equating them to real life situations. Her grading is clear, and she's always available to help so you'll never fall behind.

Haven't gotten my grade back but, overall a very nice woman. Caring, lectures were well thought out and she even gave when all of the assignments would be due within the Syllabus. I definitely didn't try my best in this course and it is NOT the professors fault she's awesome. Definitely recommend her for ECON!
