Waquar is the best prof I've had at Mac. He is very accessible and is always in a good mood. He made difficult concepts feel easy. I wish more profs were like him. I'd DEFINITELY take his classes again. His tests are fair and tests your knowledge from all parts of his lecture. His lecture slides are awesome.

Waquar has changed my mind about finance. Me & my friends are thinking to take finance major because of his course. Not only his lectures are really engaging, his art of teaching finance in a story-telling fashion is something that all professors should follow. You'll be lucky if you get him for 3FA3. Waquar was an amazing professor. After my bad experience with 2FA3, 3FA3 was much better just because of him. His lecture's include a lot of stories and real life examples; not absolutely necessary to attend, but I do recommend attending lectures as it'll help you get a better grade. His tests are also very fair and similar to the practice.

Take him if you get a chance. I took 3FA3 with him and will take more classes with him. Very compassionate yet fair in the tests. Love the way he teaches. My best class at Mac so far.

He had us analyze one case each week - learned so much corporate finance by going through the cases and seeing the way he analyzes them. A real gem. Also very entertaining way of lecturing

Literally my favourite prof, yes some of his tests can be hard BUT with online learning he allowed us to use EXCEL for our midterms and exams and it has been so useful. His lectures are very clear and interesting to watch.

He has got me seriously interested in finance. He even had a zoom meeting with me to discuss about my career path. Super friendly. lectures are well made and makes difficult things seem easy. Wish I have him in another course in 4th year.

Great professor, but you need to do a lot of independent work, Read the chapters and do the practice questions if you want to get anything above a 60%. His tests are HARD easily the hardest courses I have taken and I did well too, you gotta try but you can def do well.

Tough class. Lot of work - 2 quiz every week. But that's what kept me with the class and lectures. Be ready to WORK HARD and learn a LOT.

Waquar brings in a lot of information in the class and you need to be ready to take them in. I didn't get a very high grade but I learned so much from his class. I hope he teaches some of the upper level finance classes as his teaching style matches very well with my learning style.

Just had the final exam. Fair but difficult test. You have to come to his class regularly otherwise it will be a difficult class. Always uses latest info in class discussions. Respond to emails quickly and very patient and supportive.

Waquar has the best lectures but he is such a tough grader. He sets up his students for success. Every lecture is vital for getting a good grade in his class. I messed up in knee midterm and now can't get an A. Will take him again in third year

Waqar's pre-recorded lectures are the best. You can get so much out of live sessions if you come to them after going over the pre-recorded lectures. He has also provided list of finance courses one should take here at Mac. All in all an excellent learning experience. Take him if you get a chance.

Waquar is an amazing lecturer and person. He explains content so well and posts many practice materials, and sometimes even pre-recorded lectures to make sure everyone understands the content. Make sure to use these as his midterms are tough and cannot be taken lightly. Other than that make sure to take this course with Waquar, you won't regret it.

One of my favorite profs, he is highly knowledgeable and interesting. Lots of online 1% quizzes - good for practice. Use the slides/practice exams/slides to study and you'll do well. Highly engaging teaching style and makes difficult concepts easier to understand. I would take another class with Dr. Waquar any day.

Honestly, this course isn't that hard if you take it with Waquar. Just make sure you pay attention/take notes in class, and do a lot of practice questions!

You won't find a professor more passionate than Waquar. He is a very caring person - he went through the same materials 2/3 times in the class in 2/3 different ways to ensure that maximum student can get what is being taught. He had the same commitment and passion throughout the term. So much to learn from him - ultimate professional.

Excellent class. Fair tests, weekly online quiz. Word problems in midterm tests are challenging. He returns graded midterm tests. Provides past exams for practice. Final exam much easier than the midterm tests. All in all a good experience. Great class for students who are taking level 3/4 finance classes.

Waquar is among the best profs at Mac. Attend his lectures, make decent notes, pay attention, read the textbook and that should set you up for success in his class. This prof always makes the time fly during his lectures by being engaging, funny, and providing relevant and useful examples. Would highly recommend.

Best finance prof at mac. Explains all the content very clearly, and goes over exactly what is expected to succeed in the tests and the group projects. This course is very tough, but taking it with Waquar made it a lot easier than I expected.

Challenging course, but Waquar makes it enjoyable. I feel like I can use this later in my career.

Excellent class. After 2FA3 I was dreading to take this class. This is so much better. Waquar makes the class interesting, very clear quiz and midterms. He shares so much resources that you can't fail in the course. I wish he taught the tutorial session too. I hope I get to take his class again.

Good class. posts recorded lectures, past tests and solution to weekly assignments. Very well organized class. Some topics are fun like mergers, dividends. Some are challenging like options and swaps. He teaches the course very well.

He's one of the best professors I've had. His lectures are clear and engaging. He dislikes side conversations but encourages questions. Pay close attention in class—recordings help, but in-person is better. Interest rate swaps were fine; futures and options was a tough one but manageable with practice. Do the end-of-chapter problems!

Watch out for the word problems in the midterm tests. All in all a very enjoyable course. I hope I can take more courses with him.

He makes you think. International finance is an interesting course as it shows using derivatives to hedge fx risks. Waquar does a great job in teaching and planning the course. Very informative course. His materials are always up to date. Waquar did not disappoint.

Waquar's delivery is excellent. He is one of the few profs at DeGroote who actually teaches and cares for student learning. I wish he taught more elective courses. We need to have a few more Waquars in the faculty

Great prof, who actually cares for his students, mid terms are a little difficult, but not the worst. My only complain would be with TA markings for written answer. They're extermely unfair, which i don't think is the profs fault.
