I'll start with the bad. I do not find him to be easy and if you aren't into Biology you might have to work a litte harder. However, he is great. He is very good teacher although her tests are a little bit hard, but he drops the lowest one and gives extra credits. Microbiology is a very challengin class but he makes it enjoyable and easier to pass.

Warner is such an enthusiastic teacher. You can tell he loves being a teacher and he cares about your success. Lab is easy. He's only downfall is his review. He doesn't hold one in class and any of the posts online don't really illustrate the test well. Tests are half multiple choice, half short answers. Overall I'd recommend over and over again.

He is a laid back person, easy going, and very helpful. However he is not what you would consider an easy A teacher. You must work for your A dedicating study time to ensure it. Even though he is helpful its only to a certain point and its still up to you to get it. There were people in my class that had to drop. Gives some extra credit fair grader

Absolutely one of the best professors in the campus, without exageration. As long as you pay attention in class, then the tests shouldn't be hard at all for whatever the reason. Does provide extra credit and almost impossible to fail the course. Two thumbs up!

AMAZING PROF!!! If you have to take any bio class and he is teaching it, you must take him. Extremely helpful, great sense of humor, provides funny examples which help you remember them during the exams. As the other reviews say, Warner is simply incredible. He understands the concept of teaching and he is amazing at it. He relates concepts to real life and the things he teaches stick. I barely had to study all semester to get an A. He is also very approachable and easy to talk to and he take genuine interest in his students.

Warner is one of the nicest teachers I have ever had! I wish there were more science teachers like him who could actually teach and help us out if we're stuck! He gives you the grade you deserve, and you have to study, but it's definitely worth taking this class! I barely used the book. The quizzes on mastering biology and stuff online help a lot!

Dr. Bare is a very nice guy. He is very willing to help anytime you have a question. Labs are not hard at all. His tests arent exactly like the guides he gives you,but they kind of help. Test arent easy, but you need to study.

BEST TEACHER EVER. I got 100 for my 2 of my midterms and 100 for my final. Also 100 for my second lab exam. He is extremely nice and helpful. He makes microbiology interesting. Totally love this class.

STUDY THE STUDY GUIDES FOR THE TEST! You only need the book to answer the study guide questions. As for the lab manual, you can always share with someone. He gives 40 extra credit points, if you do all of his extra credit assignments. So, you can make a couple of C's on his tests and still get an A.

Warner is a great professor. You can tell he genuinely loves his job and what he does. He tries to make class fun and he jokes around alot. As long as you study the powerpoints and the chapter guides, you'll do fine. I definately reccommend him.

Overall a good class. Study the study guides for test. Class was TOUGH. You will need to know material well, not just "good enough" if you want an A. A bit slow on grading some assignments. Takes points off for some unreasonably "picky" things. However, I learned ALOT in here which is most important. I made an "A" - I'd recommend him.

I'm actually going to miss this guy. I took him for biology 1406 and Med Microbio 2420. He's a wonderful teacher, but his class is hard. Be prepared, you must study hard and put the work in if you want an A.

He grades very hard when it comes to the writing portion of the exams. He is very strict in labs as well and can be rude at times.

Dr. Bair gives out way too much homework. Be prepared to literally turn in lab homework he gives on ANGEL the size of a book, plus not to even mention Mastering Biology quizzes on-line are very time consuming. He is nice and all of that, but he can be very strict in labs. You cannot work with others, just you and a partner. He is strict overall!

Your entire life will revolve around this class and it still won't be good enough. He is not helpful and rarely answers emailed questions (which he encourages you to send) He is very picky about essay answers and deducts many points at random. If you are failing he will encourage you not to drop by giving you false hope. In the end you will fail.

Very hard class and professor is not helpful at all! It's almost impossible to make a good grade on anything in this class. You will do nothing but study all the time and those things won't even be on the exam like he says. Do yourself a favor and take another professor if you have to have this class.

Bair is an awesome teacher. He gives you direct study guides for each test and is very helpful when you need it. I can honestly say, I have never had anything handed to me but am still struggling in this class with only one additional class being taken along with it. Yes he does give study guides but half of the questions are not the ones on the exams. He deducts so many 1 & 2 points on everything that it makes a difference in a letter grade.

Yes it college I understand you have to study your butt off but for this class even then it wouldn't be good enough. He is strict grader even though your question is right he will still take of 1 or 2 points. Never replies to emails and during lecture he's like "shoot me an email if you have any questions" BS he will never respond..DON'T TAKE HIM!!

This class is very time consuming but its bc its a very time consuming subject. Dr. Bair does a good job at trying to link stuff to make it less confusing but it still can be confusing. He does take off 1-2 points but if you know the stuff & show your putting an effort he will see that & WILL HELP YOU. 4 lecture test 2 lab tests DO TAKE HIM!!

Too much handwriting in this class. 40 question multiple choice 40% and 10 short answer questions 60% on test in less than 2 hrs is real tough. Be prepared to write fast. Dr. Bair is a great professor! He always give his best to explain the material to his students. Biology classes are not easy to begin with, so do not expect that it would be as easy as minor classes. I made a 98% average as my final grade. I'm not saying this to brag. I just want to prove that's it's highly possible to make A in his class.

He tells you what you want to hear so that you won't drop. He didn't put in grades until AFTER the drop date so I never knew where I stood. My observation was that he also began grading much harder after the drop date. Save yourself from the constant and daily stress by taking another professor. You'll be glad you did!

its true Dr. Bair its a hard grader, but it is a micro class so its a pretty tough class. He gives extra credit points. test reviews help to answer the short essay questions and power points help you answer the multiple choice questions also the study cases.

One of the greatest lecturers I've had for my science classes. Easy to understand, makes topics interesting, very helpful with questions, and overall amazing professor. The amount of work seemed a lot in the beginning, but all that ends up helping you retain the information for tests and future bio classes.

Dr. Bair is a great professor. Notes are all online if needed. Offers extra credit. He makes recordings in case you do not understand what goes on in lab. Micro in a summer session. Prof Bair is a great Instructor and makes it as easy as he can for his Students. A lot of Information but def. not impossible. Test are M/C and Short answer/Essay and he wants A LOT of Details but the concepts are fairly easy to understand. Would take him again.

Warner Bair is one of the best professors I had for Biology, he really cares for his students and as long as you put your part you should get a B+ or higher.

He is a very nice, caring teacher. His lectures make you understand everything very well, he gives great examples. Homeworkquizzes are average in amount because its biology off course, but easy to manage and and keep As in them as long as you follow the easy instructions, discussions are part of the grades.. Do labs.

He is the BEST! His lectures are amazing, easy to understand, gives every day examples, online review, online videos. You can make an A as long as you take notes in class and do the reviews. I took Micro in 6 wks summer course. A lot of material but Prof Bair makes it easy to understand. You have to put in the work for an A. 40 multiple choice questions on tests with 60pts of short answer/essays. Watch the lecture videos and take good notes. The lab tests were hard. Know pretty much everything for those. It has been my favorite class.

Professors Bair is by far one of the best professors I had for a science class. His class is kinda flipped. The information can be hard but he really works hard to make sure that you understand it.

Tests are 40multiple choice and the rest of the 60 points are short answer. He explains concepts well. His analogies are the best. Do YOUR ONLINE HOMEWORKS AND QUIZZE'S. Has like 3 or 4 do every week but they are EZ. Has 2 projects that you have to work hard on participate in class and he will love you. FINAL EXAM WAS EASY. Do the learning guides!

He describes every topic off the top of his head and provides great examples and comparisons. Best lectures ever. Test are still challenging, but doable. Watch out for lab test! Labs are fun he lets you leave a little early most days.

Prof Bair is the best professor I have ever had. He gets back to you almost immediately and is always willing to work with you. He has a way of explaining concepts like no other and the stories he tells will stick with you. Fair grader and will always look at your reviews for exams beforehand if you want his feedback. He was meant to teach!

Loved Prof. Bair! His tests are a little hard, but if you study hard you should be fine. He posts his lectures online so if you miss a class or want to review for the test you can. Would totally take him again. I was scared to take this class, but Prof. Bair made it fun.

He puts his lectures / powerpoints / study guides / lab videos online to help you master concepts. Small amounts of hw due 2x per wk but they do not take long. Tests aren't 'easy' but doing your learning guides will set you up for success. Extremely approachable / funny / kind. FUN lectures (yes, for real) & lab. Truly an incredible professor.

This class was a ton of work. Mastering assignments due multiple times per week, 4 lecture exams, 2 lab exams, and a comprehensive final. He also has a horrible substitute that makes the class a waste of time. Bair is an EXTREMELY tough grader and doesn't respond promptly to emails; you're lucky if he responds at all.

Be carefully with good reviews about this professor. I dit not have good experiences with him last semester. His lecture and lab exams are both difficult and heavy. Moreover, he is a really tough grader. His extra credit is a book review essay with at least 5 or 6 paragraphs. Some students in my class dropped this class.

Professor Bair is a very nice and personable person (which is why I gave atleast 2 stars,) but thats just not enough. Lectures are long and convoluted and the tests do not reflect the lectures. Tests are extremely hard, and cover material never reviewed in class. I even read the book front to back & still couldnt pass the tests. Tough grader too.

Professor Bair is nice, in a social environment, but if you actually take his class RIP. I had him for my anatomy course, and despite being the dean he still manages to be the worst professor on campus. On top of that, he hoed my homies and required a webcam. THE WORST PROFESSOR FOR MICRO. Uses Pearson so much for hw and it's not helpful it's just busy work for a grade. His lectures are confusing and so boring. I took his class and got a D then retook this class again the next semester and got an A with Adam Eiler. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HE'S NOT HELPFUL AND DOESN'T TEACH THE MATERIAL.

He's kind of inconsistent and tough with grading (late with grading too) but as long as you complete the labs and Connect assignments and relatively pass the tests and discussions, you will pass. If you make a Webex appointment, he's a caring professor that does hear you out. (Make sure to set up a GroupMe for this class.)

ALL assignments are open so you can work ahead. You will have writing assignments (extra credit), discussion questions that require substantial answers and 2 replies of 100 words or more, a case study project on top of labs, lab exams, regular exams, and smartbook HW. It really felt like an English class.He provides PowerPoint and video lectures.

Surprised to see the bad ratings. Lots of homework but if you have the textbook open, answers are word for word throughout the chapter in order. Exam review guides tell you exactly what to study. Discussions took 2 hours at most. He was also very responsive and even moved a test when it conflicted with some of his student's holiday plans.

Doesn't offer lecture exam reviews except for the final. Lectures are easy to follow, but NOT AT ALL comprehensive, they only seemed to cover about a fourth of the material. Didn't get the rubric for a major assignment until the day before it was due. The lab work and discussions were mostly what kept my grade afloat.

Challenging but rewarding class. Professor Bair's teaching style takes some getting used to, but his online resources and exam guidance make all the difference. Unstuck Study AI was a lifesaver for preparing. Would take again.

Professor Bair post fantastic pre lectures that helps with the chapter for that week. Although the videos don't go in-depth with the chapter they provide a great basis to build off of. Extra credit is available however, I recommend reading the book to supplement the rest of information needed.
