Awesome teacher, the classes are very fun. He likes to challenge you and make you think, and widen your imagination. I learned things about myself in that class than in any other. The assignments are very fun (i.e. the movie review, art assignments). If you truly want to learn, take his class!!!

Very interesting professor. I hated english composition before I had him.I thought he was awesome.I got an A in his class and I wasn't any good before him.

Prof. Dittmar is a very good teacher. He explains everything to you so you understand the concept of English. He makes you think and open your mind to not only english but everything that surrounds you. i highly recommend taking him.

Not for everyone. The professor has a peculiar way of grading work where the student can only guess as to what their grade is. The work IS easy as previously mentioned, but not interesting, personally speaking. This class is not recommended if you're a analytical/logical thinker (you won't enjoy it, trust me). Proceed with caution.

Anyone who give this professor a bad rating is an idiot.Professor Ditty is AWESOME,one of the brightest persons you will ever come across in your life.Never mind is grading style you won't regret taking his class. If you are no good at this subject he'll pick you up.

This professor brings out the best in you, he is very positive and also very brilliant. His style is very organized and the stories are very relevant to his class themes. You will love to write when he is done with you!!!!!

he is a good teacher he trys to help you out and work with you. lots of projects and research papers. in your writings he wants you to be real personal, he wants to know how the stories we read in class relate to our lives. we touch on interesting subjects like tupac and love etc. very cool. he does give alot of work all at once too...

The class is extemely easy. All you have to do is show up and contribute. He is a liberal leftist...but it's tolerable.

Greatest english teacher at bcc north campus. You have to work for your grade, read a lot, do research paper and etc. Do whatever asignments he gave , and you'll do fine. If you follow all instructions you'll have an A.

He's funny and nice but the class is a joke if your major is English. There are several assignments and their very easy, do the work and you'll do well. I'm annoyed because I feel that I'm not learning much and the class is a waste of time. He never leaves comments, corrections, or criticism on essays which is horrible for those who want to improve

Warren Dittmar is one of the easiest english teachers ever. He has alot of discussions and group work. We didn't have a midterm but we had a final in which we just wrote a paper on a book that we read. He was a easy A.

This is my third try at ENC1101. I never was successful due to the professors. Professor Dittmar was the nest engish teacher I have had yet. His assignments are fun and loves participation. He has a "cave wall" grade which counts towards your participation grade. He works with your schedule too. You will learn how to write well in this class.

I really enjoyed his class. He is very kool and he tries to get along with his students. He will answer all questions you may have and he is easy 2 talk 2. I would recommend him 2 anyone!!!

Prof. Dittmar is awesome. He is very easy to talk to and will help in any way he can. Speak up and participate, even if you are shy, it will only help your grade. Assignments are fine, nothing that is too stressful. I took him for a 6 week summer class and still did well. If you have a problem, let him know!He's the BEST!!!

He is a very down to earth teacher. He grades you own how you express yourself through words. I learned a lot about my self in this class.

Proff. Dittmar has a great background and is very intelligent. His grading scale is based on your improvement and the class can be silent at times, but for the most part if you do what is ask the class is very enjoyable. I personally found the class to relate to life and learned more about myself. Thanks proff.

Dittmar is a little out there, but he wants you to learn about yourself and to always do better. There are themes in his class. Always try and stick with them. He really will push you further than you even knew you could go. I really enjoyed his class. Take him You will not regret it. There is a lot of material, but do them and you will get an A!

I absolutely loved him! You have a lot of writing to do but he grades you upon though process and not grammar. He wants you to get something out of his class and life and really does encourage his students to do well and live proactive lives. The people who gave him a bad review are idiots and shouldnt waste time and money attending school.

Absolutely the best teacher ever. He is very nice and helpful. We had a lot of fun in his class. There arent many papers to write but we had to do a group presentation on an Author. Other than that there really was no work to do

This class is easy. The big thing are your journals; you'll do about 2/3 of your assignments in them. He collects the journal once at the end of the semester. ALOT of class discussions. Has a burning question segment for the first 15 minutes of class. I can remember about 2 or 3 classes where I didn't pick up a pencil, just discussion. Take him.

He was the best teacher I've had in college. Very motivational and interesting.I took him for 1101 and 1102. I love Mr. Dittmar.

Very interesting person. At first I thought it was going to be a nightmare there in his class, but I ended up liking it. He makes you think about life and I am very glad a took him, was very helpful. He gives a lot of assigments to do, but try to do them all, and you'll be ok. Got an A, but I wouldn't say it was easy, however will take him again.

My fave. teacher so far. He teaches things that you will actually use to become successful in life. He grades you based on the progress you make throughout the term. Class participation is important to him. I would highly recommend Prof. Dittmar.

he is such an awesome person even though i think he's confused about what he's teaching (i think he thinks he a psych prof) his class is VERY EASY even though you have a lot of journal assignments and books to buy

His class is the easiest class ever!!! If you want an A take him. All we had was 1 test and 1 final. We had like 8 things we turned in. We only wrote 2 essays. He is great!

Lots of homework and essays. Attendance is required but if you do a majority of the work and write good essays you will pass with an A. Journals and beginning of class questions are annoying but it kills time.

He is an amazng teacher. Very open minded and loves participation. The homeork is all fun and as long as you attend class and attempt the work you will get an A. I learned so much without trying i love his class he is an amazing teacher and very knowledgeable.

There are a lot of books assigned and you do go through each one of them. The book elements of style is the most usefull in sentence structuring.

I enjoy this class a lot. If you want, a class that teaches you about yourself take this class. Mr. Dittmar is an AWESOME Proffesor. It's an Easseeey AAAAAA.

This is my first post on this site. Just had to say this was the best teacher I have ever had. I loved going to this class and had such a great time. I wish every class was as fun. Another fun fact... It was a Saturday class!! So that should say enough right there.

I have him this semester for ENC1102. His class is more about life then about english. His assignments are very fun and creative. He does assign a lot of work, but it's easy and he doesn't mind if you turn it in late. As long as you put some effort in, you should get an A easily.

If you have a life or other classes do not take him.WAY TOO MUCH WORK!He tends to forget the assignments he gives you.He tells you they are due next week but you can turn them in later.About a couple essays due every week, plus journal entries 3 times a week.2 Oral presentations. one test,a midterm & a Final.DON'T TAKE HIM IF YOU HAVE OTHER CLASSES

This guy is a good teacher. He enjoys teaching and talking about what he thinks of life. No way to know how you are doing in the class exept for your own effort. and DO expect to do A LOT of work, exesive work actually that each take more than 3 hours to complete. I liked him a lot at the begining but then he started to give to much work.

Professor Dittmar is the best professor! He's seriously my favorite teacher so far! You get so much out of his class. Take him you will not regret it! First off i loved this class ,it was great.For all the people who say its not about english,obviously failed/lack of effort.If u want to learn how to right an essay go back to high school because you should have learned it there.College is called continuing education for a reason.If you like a teacher who cares&makes life seem interesting take him.

Professor Dittmar is a true inspiration, if you are looking to just get a grade he is not the guy to go to. But if you are in school to expand your knowledge and improve yourself as a human being... Well, he will give you all the tools you need... His class is not just about English, is also about what we need to do in order to become succesful.

He's a great professor. It is a lot of work but while writing the essays you'll learn a lot about yourself. My favorite was the mirror essay. Take his class, do the work and it'll be worth it.

Mr. Dittmar is the most inspiring teacher i've ever had, i not only learned how to be a better writer, but also how to be a better person! i discovered a lot of things about myself. he is an awesome professor, i took creative writing and enc1101 with him and cant wait to take enc1102!!!

An "A" professor and a great person. He is really concern about what you get out of his class, he wants you to be a better writer and at the same time he wants you to be a better person. He gives a lot of homework, but he is conscious that everybody has a life, and he does accept late homework. Take him!

Excellent teacher! I would highly recommend his class. It's very rare when you enjoy the opportunity of having a professor teach you more than what's in the book. He will inspire you to do things with your life, to achieve goals, he will motivate you!

Nothing like your typical English courses, he makes the class fun and exciting. You learn without the structured textbook approach most proffessors push on their students. I would take him again. I enjoyed the class and the material was actually interesting. There's many ways to teach and ecourage learning and he does just that.

Not your typical class. You use a lot of books, there are a lot of videos, you keep a journal, there's A LOT of work involved, but I didn't turn it all in and received an A. Seems more like a motivational class..very frustrating at times, no syllabus. He mainly wants to know you learned and you're trying to succeed, and you'll get a good grade.

This professor takes the time to actually TEACH. The lectures are interesting and so is the course material. One of the most influential professors I have taken. I go to FIU now but I took him in 2010 it is a breath of fresh air to have a prof that enjoys teaching & wants to see you succeed. Take this course ad actually learn something

I don't know why there are negative comments, this professor was great. if your not ready to be doing college level work then do not take the course. welcome to college folks, where you study & read etc lol! but seriously he isn't hard and the class is pretty interesting

Professor Dittmar is not your typical English teacher. He teaches you about your life and how to improve on being a better person and getting ahead in life. His teaching skills are definitely outstanding and all his lessons are interesting.This is an English class and a college course,so be prepared to write and read a lot. Highly recommended :)

Very atypical English course, although I highly enjoyed his impromptu way of running the class. This professor cares more about his student's success, their drive, and really achieving that goal that made them attend college in the first place! He will accept late work, and give you one-on-one attention when you need it. Great professor!

I enjoyed having professor Dittmar for ENC1101. He is a great professor who is honest with you. He gives you the grade you deserve and he could tell if you are struggling or you just really don't understand. I would deff take him again because he is unique and make you think outside the box.

While it is true that you have to work hard for your grade, Professor Dittmar challenges his students to improve their writing and themselves - this IS a composition course. For those looking for an easy A this class is not for you. For those that want to learn and improve their writing, creativity and critical thinking skills, take him!

Prof. Dittmar was GREAT. Although he gave a fair amount of work (3-4 assignments a week), and expected high quality, as long as you improved and put effort it, he was happy. He was inspirational, easily accessible, and just a great guy. I look forward to him again. Future students: only get the short stories book- you don't need the others at all

He does give quite a bit of homework however you CAN turn them in whenever as long as it isn't the last week. He gives lectures on how to write and about life. You honestly you learn a lot from him and he is a very fair grader he doesn't like giving under a C. You have to try to fail.

He was a cool teacher and very inspirational; he doesn't really teach English as much as he teaches about art and opinions. Worth taking but only for ENC1101.

This professor isn't for everyone. This course is really taught more like a creative writing class. He really makes you open your mind and think about other things. Honestly, I am very against his political views and many of his ideas. But isn't what makes us creative adults? Class is very easy if you have an open mind and show up.

This ENC class is more creative. It really makes you think outside of your box. Sure he does talk about politics but that is just to see how you respond to it. If you don't agree with it type out why you don't. This is the problem with today so many people cant express themselves with opposite views. I loved having him and he is an asset!

Definitely a prof I would take again and again, and the more professors I deal with, the more I wish they were all like him!! great professor, great guy.

Excellent professor! He makes us read a lot, but I can tell you I've learned a lot taking his classes. I loved all the videos he sent to us. He's very inspirational because he likes to do what he does. The only difficulty I had taking his classes was having too many essays to make in so little time, which was very hard to handle.

He likes when you analyze the topic given with logical controlling ideas and ensure that the answers given are not rambling. Participating in class is essential. I found all the materials he provided engaging and diverse. I will attend if he has an ENC1102 session.
