wayne broke everything down very simply. if you are not passionate about math then i would suggest him, if you are passionate about math he is great for letting you form your own methods about stuff other than the basics. and hes fun.

He is enthusiastic and well-spoken. His teaching methods are not only clear and well-planned, but he makes a real effort to relate the subject matter to practical applications and real-life situations. His class was enjoyable and the environment was friendly. I would definitely recommend him to anyone taking a mathematics course at Parkland.

I think Wayne is a great teacher. He can come off as slightly sarcastic, but he is just trying to make the class (Intro to Statistics) more fun. If you talk to him, he is very helpful and a nice, laid back guy. I had no issues learning any of the concepts of statistics at all. I would recommend him to any other student.

Wayne really wants his students to do well and he'll go out of his way to help anybody. I'm a student who has serious math anxiety, but I was able to truly learn the concepts. Great teacher if math isn't your thing. Very laid back. I'm taking 098 with him next semester and I'm not dreading it!

Best math instructor I ever took at Parkland. He has a way of explaining the subject that really helped me understand and remember it. He is very well prepared. I hardly used my textbook the whole semester, just learn and understand the in-class notes and you will be fine. Wished he was teaching business calc.

If youre going to be taking MAT 143, take it with an instructor who you KNOW is good, Clark is great! He normally teaches lower level math, so he explain things well. Reviews before exams, and take home quizzes. The material was the difficult part, some times he takes problems straight from the book for exams, so do the recommended problems.

The only real book work is recommended practice problems, which is fine by me. Overall a great teacher.

on one hand he's extremely self-depricating and if he doesnt like you, he does NOT like you and it shows, on the other hand he teaches pertaining to his tests, is super helpful and made his class really quite easy. In a semester with my other 2 classes being chemistry and biology, this was my "blow-off" class

Wayne Clark is one of the best math teachers I have EVER had. He always made sure he had plenty of time for questions. He always made sure you understood the material before you move onto the next problem. His quizzes are take home and he only gives you 1-3 problems per quiz and they were pretty much straight out of your notes.

Wayne has a way of breaking down the material to what ever level he needs to for you to understand the material without sounding demeaning and without slowing down the class. He will spend as much time as needed with you outside of class to help you out. Be on time or you won't get in the classroom, and turn your work in on time. Strict but fair.

This professor is very clear when talking about what will be on tests and what he expects answers to include. He gives no homework besides a take home quiz usually once a week. If you show him your quiz before it is due, he will check it and tell you what needs to be fixed so it is always an easy 100. He is very helpful and over all a great guy!

He was by far one of the best and most helpful math teachers I had! I emailed him weekly and asked for help and he was always helpful! Do the quizzes, study for the test and do the extra credit when he gives it to you, and work on the recommended problems you won't have a problem passing this class!

Wayne has the ability to make really tough material seem fairly easy. He does tons of examples in class and clearly explains how to do them; very straight forward with how to find the answer. His sense of humor made class very enjoyable and easy to get through. He is also more than willing to give extra help in office hours.

Mr. Clark is absolutely hilarious and makes this class so much easier to understand. This was a very difficult class that I had dreaded taking, but Mr. Clark explained all of the concepts very clearly. While attendance isn't mandatory, you really need to attend class to understand most of the concepts. If you need to take calculus, take this class.

Even for an online class he really does his best. He sends out reminders, will even check your quiz answers through email before you start quiz. Always helpful and has a good sense of humor. His powerpoint can be long but they are easy to follow along with.

Wayno is the GOAT when it comes to math. I was never fond of Calculus in high school but Wayne made it easy to understand. I liked all of the examples he did on the board in class and then online during quarantine. The tests and quizzes were very similar to the book. You should ask questions in class since he is sad when no one asks anything.

I took this class in the fall of 2020, and he made it a hybrid so I only came to class once a week for in person while watching the lectures online. I would have preferred everything in person, but the ppts and lectures were very understandable and easy to navigate. He really wants everyone to succeed and tells the best stories and jokes. GOATED

All my life I've hated math. I still hate it, but a little less after taking Wayne's class. Wayne is the man. He gave us a couple options when it came to learning material, and all the quizes were take home. He's got a great sense of humor is really good about not working you to death. If I needed to take another math class I'd choose him everytime

You have to do the work for this class as it is Math; you have to have the discipline to keep up and hold yourself accountable, but I found Professor Clark to be responsive when I had questions. Feedback on quizzes/exams was helpful. It is clear he wants his students to succeed. I enjoyed the class and I'd definitely take more classes from him.
