Wayne is a great guy. Great personality. Really need to go to class or you will struggle on the exams.
You have to go to class to complete Kahoot! points which can get annoying. Exams are difficult if you don't pay attention in class. Great guy.
Great professor and personality, Prof. Geerling really cares about his students. Attendance is not required but necessary to succeed in this course. Get ready to read the textbook as well. As long as you show up to class, read the textbook, and study for exams, this class is built for you to succeed.
I enjoyed Prof. Geerling's class. He is hilarious and makes lectures engaging. The course overall isn't challenging if you read the textbook and pay attention in class.
Wayne is such a great lecturer and is very knowledgeable about many topics. He's a really cool guy and accessible after lecture. However, exams are quite difficult, but there's a chance to take an optional final to replace a low exam and there's extra credit to increase your grade.
Prof. Geerling is a great lecturer. He is very knowledgeable on the topic and clearly cares about his students and wants them to succeed. Going to class is not necessary, but Kahoots are a main part of your grade. The only thing I did not like, is he works very hard to e ahead which sometimes feels like lectures are rushed.
One of my favorite professors ever. His lectures are so interesting and he does kahoots with prizes everyday for attendance. He's so organized and gives you ample study material for the exams. His lectures are basically verbatim from the textbook so that is also good study material. He's so kind, helpful, and down to earth.
Pretty good professor for an intro class. Exams aren't hard necessarily, only annoying thing is how picky he is on free response questions. Not much leeway, but the majority of the exam, the multiple choice is pretty easy anyways.
Great professor! Really engaging. Read the textbook and make good notes before you attend lectures. Attend Office Hours, they are really fun, and he is willing to answer questions about how the topics he teaches can be applied to the real world. Complete the test reviews and study the Kahoots from previous lectures and you'll likely to receive an A
Great professor. Interactive lectures with 3 important tests. Final is optional if you do well on the first three midterms.
He was a good lecturer and the class is not too difficult if you study and pay attention, but he is very Australian.
Majority of the grade is from the 3 exams, but if you look over the given study guide and textbook/notes, you should do fine. Weekly chapter quizzes that are easy if you actually read the chapter. Daily in class Kahoot games totaling 19% of your grade, so make sure to attend class in order to get full credit. Really great class, would recommend.
He goes by SO fast in class is barely impossible to pay attention and write at the same time, (good thing he records his lectures) so be ready to re-watch his lectures recordings after class. That said his lectures were interesting but def you needed to put in extra work for his tests which were hard
Geerling is amazing. His course is hard but that's just bc its macro. he has office hours twice a week that are so helpful and it helped me end with an A. his tests are hard but going to lectures, doing the kahoots, and reading the textbook is super helpful. he goes a bit fast in class but lectures are recorded.
He goes fast in his lectures (Australian doesn't help), and you have to go back and re-watch them later before the exams (or read through slides before getting to class). There's three midterms and an optional final, but tests are difficult. Reading the textbook and using the study materials he gives are helpful, but the frq can be graded harshly.
While some may say Wayne spoke too fast in lecture, I believe he was an effective lecturer and provided lecture slides with blanks to fill in so you did not have to copy everything down. Also, the textbook for the class is amazing. Reading the textbook is key to doing well in the class. Majority of grade is based upon three tests w optional final.
Geerling is a really mediocre teacher. His lectures are really bare bones and don't prepare you for the exams nearly enough (which is a problem when exams are 70% of your grade) and he doesn't really make an effort to help you learn. The only way you'll be successful in this class is by studying straight from the textbook. Wouldn't recommend him.
Read the textbook, go to class, and rewatch lectures before the exams to do well on the exams. There are many opportunities for extra credit so go to class and farm kahoot points. People who complained about his accent and teaching style are just haters.
Wayne is a great lecturer and provides a ton of study resources. If you study, the tests are easy. The final is optional if you take all 3 exams. Go to every class: there are attendance questions that can also serve as extra credit. The only work outside of the class is homework every week. You'll definitely need to read the textbook to pass.
Really fun professor, good teaching style. The exams aren't easy so study hard. Attendance isn't technically mandatory but in-class kahoots make up a decent chunk of your grade so go to class. An A is very achievable, especially as you have the chance to get 2% extra credit with the kahoots. Great professor overall, would recommend his class.
Geerling is awesome! Very accessible with office hours. Not the kind of guy you won't be able to find outside of class. Very straightforward about the class, exams, and expectations. Lectures were interesting even at 8am. Overall 10/10 professor!
Cool funny and enthusiastic dude. Lectures can feel fast paced but there's just a lot of info to get through, I took textbook notes before each class so class Kahoots were easy and I didn't have to stress about keeping up in lectures. Structure is exact same as eco304k w Mateer (IQs, textbook, Kahoots, demos w prizes, skips) just with frqs on tests
The professor was quite good with his lectures and explanation of new concepts. Sometimes the lectures can be boring, but it was mostly because of the material and not the professor. Tests were very doable with 3 skips and extra credit is also given for participation in Kahoot. He was also caring and accessible after class.
Grading system was clear and straightforward. Large lecture class but Professor wants to get to know you and encourages you coming to his office hours. Professor was really caring and tried to make lectures interesting. If you didn't struggle with Micro then this class should be about the same difficulty.
Wayne is a super nice and caring professor. He actively encourages and invites students to come to his office hours. Sometimes he doesn't explain things thoroughly enough and students without previous knowledge are left confused (especially true when talking about US gov/econ, bc he is Australian). Imo, the latest textbook is a waste of money.
Great professor for the online Introduction to Microeconomics 304K! He is very engaging and hilarious during the lectures, making it an entertaining class!
Attendance is mandatory because it counts as your grade. Homeworks are Inquizitives, Kahoots are during the lectures, and tests are based on Inquizitives, Kahoots, and lectures. Reading the textbook is helpful before lectures, and extra credit is offered based on participation. LECTURES are AMAZING! So creative and engaging, you will love it!
Him and Dirk Mateer co-taught this class and they were great together. It was probably the most fun I've had in an online class.
Wayne & Dirk's online web-based microeconomics was an amazing class, especially for non-math majors. They're hilarious in class and offer so many opportunities for in-class and extra credit points. Exams can be hard if you don't study, but you would have to go out of your way in order to fail the class.
Super fun, easy to understand lectures with demonstrations and questionably-related clips. Attendance points can be easily met by going to 75% of lectures. Pay attention to questions solved in class, kahoot questions, and inquisitive questions for the 3 tests. Inquisitives are weekly assignments and you can keep going until you get a 100 on each
Took online ECO304K with Dirk and Wayne. Lectures super interesting and kept me engaged. Workload was light; weekly IQ assignment that took about 20-30 minutes a week. Very straightforward and fair exams; if you do the kahoots, TPS, and IQ assignments you're good. Offers extra credit for having over the maximum participation.
Wayne Geerling is an amazing Micro professor. IQ assignments are super easy and helpful for studying for exams. The in class participation grade is based on Kahoots and Google Forms on the information in the lectures, so attendance is mandatory until you have all of those points. Interesting lectures made for the fact that the class was online.
The exams aren't very difficult; I study each one in the morning and still manage to get an A- in the afternoon. If you're a hardworking student, I bet you'll earn an A in the class. Additionally, the final exam replaces the lowest of the previous exams. Prof Geerling is the most hilarious prof in UT ngl.
Him and Dirk are an insanely funny duo, and the class was extremely easy. As long as you did the readings with inquisitive, you were set for an A. They made my morning amazing like every Tuesday and Thursday because of how hilarious they are.
He's a yapper bro
Exactly like micro, he is a good teacher and class is engaging. Tests are hard if you haven't been paying attention in class, but easy if you have. Overall great class, not too homework heavy.
I'm sad I won't be able to take this class again he's a really good professor. HWs aren't bad at all and in-class Kahoot's are a big part of your grade so make sure to do them. Test are definitely manageable if you study well. You still get 3 skips per exam. Final is optional or can replace worst midterm grade.
The variety of teaching methods, the humour, videos, presentations, kahoots in class, and grading style is all EXTREMELY effective and made this class genuinely fun to learn the material. Not only did I enjoy it, but I felt that I learned a lot from this course. It is clear this professor puts in a lot of effort into the class :) t
Macro with Wayne was great. His lectures are engaging and the grading criteria are extremely simple. There are 3 exams, with the second being the most difficult. Minimal work outside of lectures and as long as you show up and stay engaged/put in effort, the material is pretty easy. There are extra credit opportunities. I loved this class!
If you have the chance to take Wayne for this course, do it. Similar to macro at UT your grade is composed of Kahoots (attendance), weekly inquisitives, 3 exams, and an optional final. I didn't attend for the last month and still got all participation points bc threshold is so low. Wayne is very funny, easy to reach, and cares about his students.
Geerling is a great guy, but only an okay professor. He gets upset sometimes if too many questions are asked about things that he thinks are easy. He's very interesting though. His tests are lowkey way harder than they should be, I got C+'s on test 1 and 2, but he makes exam 3 pretty easy and I got 92. Homework is super easy, good luck on tests tho
Wayne is one of the most caring and funny profs I've had. I read the textbook and took notes for every chapter which helped a ton with exams -- lectures are straight from the book. Exams were straightforward if you read. Take him if you can!
He is an amazing professor. Would 100% recommend. The best part about this class is that the final is optional. If you score well on the three exams this class has, you can easily get an A without taking the final. Also, Geerling is very funny and the lectures are enjoyable (even at 8 am).
Geerling held amazing lectures and was very engaged, a big plus because he is Australian. Most of your grade will be determined by the tests. There is a textbook that is recommended to help study and complete some assignments.
prof geerling is one of the best profs at UT, he genuinely cares about his students and their understanding of the content, and is always available after class. participation is a big portion of the grade, and is done through kahoots and super easy to get extra credit from, 3 exams and an optional final, no papers! loved his course
He could have made this course so much more difficult than it needs to be, but he clearly cares about teaching and does not seem interested in failing people for no reason. If you study and actually listen to the lectures, then this class will be a breeze. It's not a terribly exciting course, but he makes it as good as it can get.
He is literally one of the greatest professors I have had. He is incredibly entertaining and very knowledgeable. Definitely take Wayne Geerling if you have the opportunity.
Overall a good class but he comes off a bit harsh sometimes towards his students. I attend class not because I love his lectures, but more so because I fear missing the constant quizzes and assignments both due during class and at 8pm afterwards. He gives good lectures on interesting content, but I can't say I love his approach.
Wayne is a very nice professor and the class is entertaining- I would not suggest taking him unless you are prepared to go fast. He would often interrupt lectures with activities that were super fun, but then rush and not fully explain the material which caused me to have to figure it out for myself after class.
This class is not as enjoyable at micro or macro, but that has to do with the content not professor. Basically a history class for economics, so if you aren't good at history it might be harder than you think. Literally no homework, tests are kind of hard though. Overall interesting, but definitely not a free A.
Wayne is awesome, but this class is not an easy A. I have found lectures pretty interesting, for the most part, but the short-answer exams are kind of tough. No homework. In class Kahoots and think-pair-share. Overall, I have enjoyed the course, but found it harder than expected.
This class is terrible ignore the good reviews from macro. The test in this class are just outrageous. You can know everything study hours in advance still fail the exams. He grades off how you write it and gives no leniency on anything. He claims a low C is a good average class is not curved. Overall class is just bad the way he grades exams.
Exams are way too hard for no reason. Even with correct material rarely you'll get full credit. Averages are low Cs the professor claims it's good he purposely wants grades low. TAs said class is not cured as of now. Overall don't take, really hard to improve your grade even if you know the material setup against the students no leniency on exams.
This dude blows. I actually think he teaches well but that's not the problem. His tests are very heavy and hard for no reason. He had more people fail the first Exam than get A on it. That really all I need to say. Don't think the teaching is a problem it's his exam grading honestly would just avoid this guy.
Awful vibes all around.
Horrible professor with confusing test grading. He wants the class to be harder since apparently he made the course too easy his first year. He makes you to write the tests his way and won't take anything else and he grades really harshly. He said he wants the grade distribution to be like an upper division econ class when it's just an elective.
He gets stuff wrong on his kahoots and refused to change it when told and acts annoyed when you get proof. He's very stubborn and close-minded. Even when the majority of the class misses a question (for kahoot or TPS), he refuses to change when it's mainly because he words the questions really bad so it sounds like it's asking the opposite.
AVOID. I HATE HIM
makes what's supposed to be an okay class way too hard
Absolutely horrible test grading policies that are set up to allow you to fail even if you know the content. He is a good lecturer and overall the class is fine, but it's nearly impossible to get As on exams because of the scale. Does not take feedback well and is going to screw over my GPA.
Good prof, hilarious and informative at the same time. Lectures are fun with interesting activities from time to time, content seems rushed sometimes. Attendance is graded through kahoot quizzes every class, so don't skip. Test difficulty depends on your level of preparation.
makes an easy class too hard also his tests are way too confusing and grades pretty harshly
good lecturer but tests are way too hard
Harsh dude with difficult tests
0/10 Hated this course. Professors were overly conservative.
Sometimes he can go a little fast in the lectures, but he is very understanding and responsive via email outside of class. Best method for studying for exams is to read the chapters, do the IQs, and then take the practice exams he gives you. Overall, very enjoyable class and he gives you many opportunities to achieve an A+ in his course!
Professor Geerling cares a lot about his students. His office hours consist of 6 hours weekly and he's very helpful and open to all types of questions, no matter the difficulty. His lectures are fun and use pop culture examples and little stage activities to drill in the point. 3 exams + optional final, kahoots, and easy weekly MCQ homework.
Prof Geerling is a nice guy and a good lecturer, however, this class is awful. A large portion of your grade is based on the midterms, which are literally 4 essays you write over 4 different economists in 90 minutes. Even with studying all of the content I struggled on them. 41% of people failed the first exam and only 13.5% got an A/A-. Stay away.
His tests are insanely difficult as they are graded very harshly. They are all 4 written essays and he offers no leniency. I have read the book, attended all lectures, do active recall and still do bad. He previously curved but said he won't to make his grade distribution more accurate. Avoid this class.
His Micro class with Mateer was alright, but 330T was complete hell on earth. Exams are graded on complete minutiae for vague questions. Imagine studying 20+ hours and doing all course materials and not getting even a decent grade
Professor Geerling was an excellent and engaging lecturer, and was very engaging, though the 8:00 am is a tough time slot. Overall, I learned a lot in his class, and found it really enjoyable.
First off, many of these reviews look like they were written by the same person and are not reflective of most students. Secondly, Yes this class was hard. Hard but worth it. Dr. Geerling gives his all. He devotes so much of his time to helping students, but you have to put your part in as well. LOVED the class no matter what grade I get.
He is a fair grader and a good professor. The class can be difficult, but it's doable so you have to work hard. He cares a lot about his students and wants to help them succeed
Wayne is a solid professor and is pretty good at lecturing, but his tests were made to be too hard and the grading criteria is somewhat confusing. I don't think worry too much about his reviews for 330T though since he says he's not going to teach this class in the future (maybe the reviews and semester surveys were really bad?).
Besides the lectures being at 8am, they were actually engaging and fun. That being said, do NOT take this class lightly if you're taking it for a minor like I did. Class averages were C's for each exam. Geerling is funny and gives up to 2% extra credit through Kahoots which was nice but make sure you really pay attention during lectures to do well.
Best professor for microeconomics!! His lectures are super engaging and are the only things you need to do well on the exams. Attendance isn't mandatory but participation is part of your grade and he has in-class extra credit opportunities. Show up, pay attention, and do the practice questions and there's no way you don't get an A! (Optional Final)
You have to read the textbook for his class. He makes the lectures very entertaining and knows what he is talking about. His tests are kind of difficult, but if you study the Kahoots, lecture notes, and read the textbooks you will get an A. His office hours really help. He wants his students to do good in the class. Take him for micro.
Great professor! Go to every lecture to get the Kahoot extra credit. His review sheets help. He prepares you for the tests but they are kinda hard. Micro is not a blowoff class, but it also won't be the hardest class. Do your work and ask him questions and you'll get an A or A-
If you don't mind the 8 am wakeup, Professor Geerling is the way to go. His lectures are engaging and interactive. He provides sample exams and review topics for every single chapter exams cover which is the perfect way to ensure a good test grade plus we do daily kahoots in class that can give you up to 2% of a grade boost. Super fair class!
Dr. Geerling made the lectures very entertaining and fun for an 8AM class, and definitely made the class very enjoyable. Exams are not too difficult if you do homework and practice problems.
He is great. Anyone who says he is not did not care enough to learn or take advantage of the opportunities he gave. It is a 3 exam class with a final that is optional to replace lowest. Tests are super hard and harshly graded even if you know all the material. Office hours were the most important but he wont teach this class no more so dont worry.
Professor Geerling is an outstanding lecturer and the best economics professor I've had at UT. His ECO330T class has been the most impactful course of my college career. If you are truly passionate about economics, I highly recommend taking it. While the class is challenging, it is engaging and deeply relevant to understanding today's world.
Felt cared for even in a lecture of 500 people. Took this at 8 AM and still enjoyed the class. Has an extra credit system that basically automatically gives you 2 additional points on your final grade. The homework is easy and helpful, but tests pretty much make up your entire grade. Would definitely take his class again!!
Great professor with engaging lectures and genuine care for students. That does not mean this class is an easy A. Most of your grade is made up of tests, and you likely will not succeed if you skip lectures and don't engage with the material. But, the lectures are very fun and professor ge does a great job at making it interactive
This is my second class with professor Geerling and he is amazing and really makes every class engaging and entertaining. My only complaint with this class was that he made the class too difficult this year. He said that last year too many kids got A's so he made the grading harsher. I thought that was unnecessary but I would still recommend him.
Professor Geerling is an incredibly engaging lecturer, and his class is highly relevant to today's world. He offers 2% extra credit for Kahoots and TPS, which can boost your grade a few points. Tests are challenging, but he drops lots of hints about what will be on them during lectures. Overall, a really good experience.
The class is heavily dependent on the three exams and they're not easy. Final exam (optional) replaces your lowest score though! Also, the class isn't really notebook and pen friendly, lol. However this was probably something out of his control. Overall, I learned a lot and enjoyed his lectures, even at 8am. Extremely caring guy, too.
Not a good choice for STEM majors looking for a social science class, leave this for the Business people because this class is way too hard for an intro class. The entire class is weighted on 3 exams, but he makes up for it by being an amazing and really funny lecturer that there are graded Kahoots in every class. His office hours are great too.
Professor Geerling is a good professor & teaches the material well enough but gets impatient with students & their questions so dont expect him to elaborate more than he has to. The class itself is not hard as long as you put in time to learn & understand the topics. Exams are the hardest part so dont let homework & attendance keep you from an A+
such an awesome professor to have. attendance isn't mandatory and lectures are recorded. he has daily kahoots that contribute to your grade (uses a point system). as long as you inquire about the topics you are unsure of, he will is more than happy to answer and explain further.
I wasn't a huge fan of this class. Lectures kind of felt all over the place and hard to follow, even though the subject matter wasn't extremely complicated. I think his teaching style made the class seem harder than it was - at least, to me. A lot of people seem to like him, though.
Geerling is such a great professor!! All he wants is for his students to succeed. His lectures are really engaging, for an 8am class it was really fun. Daily kahoots(count for attendance). If you go to class and pay attention I am sure you would do great on the tests.
Wayne is hilarious and very engaging; he keeps class fun!!
The class is really easy, extra credit is easy to attain, and the exams are far easier than the other econ professors. Lectures are engaging and useful/helpful.
Wayne is rude to students and has zero empathy when it comes to students being confused or asking questions. He is not flexible and he often makes snappy comments to students. When briefly rushing through an explanation he claims concepts are easy. The class grading system isn't extremely difficult but I was not a fan of him or the class.
we know this diva! his class structure is like grooms', and its #lit - optional final if u take all 3 exams, inquizitives every week, kahoots in class for participation and extra credit. hes a sweetie pie and i love his accent lol take him if u can!
If you attend class (daily Kahoot for points) and engage with the textbook and practice material, this class is very easy. Wayne wants his students to succeed and has long office hours to support that. His lectures are knowledgable and they're recorded so you can access them after. There's three exams and the extra credit is easy if you're in class
Ngl I have never gotten anything lower than a A- in any class here at UT but this one. Tests are kinda confusing but it could be worse. Just work hard in the class and you'll end up with a grade you can't complain about. He is kinda rude tho lol
Geerling is a very interesting professor, creating interesting lectures with real world and pop culture examples. Going to class is important specifically because Kahoot points are part of your grade. Three exams with an optional final that can replace your lowest grade and he has helpful practices. I struggled with micro and this class was easier.
Honestly such a respectable professor, the only difficult thing was trying to ge around his accent (but easy nonetheless). Read textbook, look at Kahoot, and do your assignments and it's so easy. He may add some niche questions from lectures that aren't listed anywhere. In the end, do the practice questions for each unit and it's a breeze.
Geerling was passionate about Macro and teaching it. As someone who is an Econ major, I cannot complain about his commitment to student success, even if he was strict come exam time, though in fairness, they were not particularly hard. In-class Kahoots were an easy way to get extra credit and bump my grade up. Props for making the final optional.
Best Econ professor at UT…actually explains concepts and genuinely cares for students and their learning. Please take him he is an amazing professor
Not a hard class at all, only thing I would say is make sure you make friends who can send you the kahoot code for in class points some days he would do none and others do 3 in one class. But very nice professor, gives out lots of prizes.
His lectures are pretty entertaining, follow them because there is always kahoot(s) that follow. lots of room to get full credit on attendance and extra credit that can boost up to 2% more on your final grade. MANY study guides on each unit given DO THEM because they help a lot. Textbook given was one I actually enjoyed reading
10/10 professor. i couldn't recommend him more. i can really appreciate a professor that is consistent and actively works in his students favor. best econ prof ever!
The professor is great. His exam reviews are really helpful!
Honestly, he's one of the best teachers I have ever had at UT Austin; he's such a nice guy and makes himself available to all his students. Exams are really easy if you read your textbook. If you do find yourself struggling, his office hours are great.
Great professor. He's eccentric for sure. He provides all the resources necessary to make an A in this class, it's just up to you if you want to put the effort to prepare and study for the midterms. Really interesting class :)!
Dr. Geerling is a truly great professor. He is hilarious, intelligent, and down-to-earth. ECO 330T can be difficult due to the nature of the exams being completely writing based, however he provides an abundance of material that makes the exams manageable if you utilize them.
This man was my GOAT. I wouldn't recommend that you take 304L with anyone but him. The exams were so easy, the IQs are super easy, there's plenty of room for extra credit if you do the class Kahoots, and the class is final optional. Dr. Wayne is also very engaging and easy to listen to; the Australian accent makes things stick better! GOATED.
If you are an Econ major, this is the best professor you will ever have. He is really cool; class is not hard as long as you study. I got 82 and 60 on my first two exams and still managed to get an A. The lectures are great and give you almost all you need for the exams and there are kahoots in every class that can get you extra credit.
Geerling is genuinely my favorite professor I've had so far. He cares for his students a lot, and don't listen to the other reviews - his tests are not that hard if you just study for them and show up. The guy literally gives away like a third of the questions during the lectures. Anyways, I can't wait to have him again for macro.
My favorite lecturer at UT. Cares deeply about his students' success, has clear-cut grading, which allows for a generous amount of in-class points and extra credits. Exams are clear, no trick questions. His study guides give you the tools to succeed.
wayne is genuinely the only teacher that has ever made economics make sense to me. he is funny and engaging and trust me even thought its an 8am its worth it if you want the A. take econ with him he's actually the best
GREAT PROFESSOR. Class was always interactive. Studying was easy due to how much help was provided. Grading criteria is clear and it is very easy to get an A in the course if you put in the effort. Take him!
Professor Geerling is my favorite professor so far. He is very caring, has interesting and engaging lectures, and often tells you what is going to be on the exam. He offers extra credit through daily Kahoots, so be sure to attend. The exams are somewhat easy; I would just recommend rewatching his lectures that he posts to Canvas and taking notes.
Great professor. Lectures were engaging and fun because he would take student volunteers for live demonstrations that fit the lesson, even giving rewards to participants. Regardless of it being an 8 am, he's good at keeping attention because he integrates Kahoots/media references relating to economics. I'm taking him again next semester for macro.
He has a great attitude and enjoys to be interactive with students. Attendance is pretty much mandatory up until earning all Kahoot points, which is relatively easy. There is a book for this course; however, all you need are the lecture slides and some YouTube videos, though the book can help out. Its a great class and he's an awesome lad!
Wayne is a great professor and very respected at UT. He gives detailed study guides with exact questions and answers that will appear on the exams. The grading is somewhat strict as you need to cover the specific key points to get full credit (fully free-response exams). However, if you study enough you can easily ace the exams.
i have never taken econ before this class nor did i ever get above a 90 on an exam and i got an A-. lots of cushion if you do poorly on exams. exams are slightly difficult but if you study well enough u will be fine. i really love geerling, he really cares about his students and i highly reccomend taking him over grooms or other intro teachers.
lectures are very interactive and make the 8 am worth it. syllabus is clear and reiterated throughout the semester. exams aren't the easiest, but study guides are very clear on how/what to study. rewatch lecture as he pulls questions from it! light homework/reading per week. participation points given every lecture
This class was incredible. The lectures are engaging and prepare you well for the exams. There is also a large safety net to ensure you get a good grade. Your lowest exam grade can be replaced by the final, three assignment grades can be dropped, and extra credit is available for attendance past the required amount.
