Hooke is pretty entertaining, even for a 4-hour long night class-which I took. He jokes about himself, is not afraid of being politically incorrect to really talk about an issue. I would take his class again!

Mr. Hooke is an inspiring teacher, he understands that we are students and that we have lives outside of class. He is flexible and understanding, makes the complex concepts very clear. He has a great sense of humor and is willing to make fun of himself. You will have fun in his class.
he is an great teacher, his tests are very difficult, but he makes coming to class fun.
I enjoyed the diverse class discussions. Wayne is interested in teaching by way of on-line notes, class discussion, lecture, and group work. This helps with all learning styles.
One of my favorite prof's at PCC. Entertaining and very clear. You have to go to class though to do well. He gives Pop Quizs, etc. that are useful for the exam, and are points for the class. Definetly take his class if you have the opportunity!

Best teacher I've had so far.
Mr. Hooke is a Mack Daddy ya'll!
I have a wonderful time in his class thanks to the atmosphere he creates. I am learning yet having fun in the process--who'd have thought? A thoughtful, intelligent and sensitive teacher with a great sense of humor.
This guy is hilarious! Take his class people!!! I know I will definetly take him again. Hooke's the man!
I looked forward to class each week!
Wayne is a excellent instructor, and I highly recommend him.
Hooke IS the man! Absolutely the best teacher I have ever had!! He takes a hard subject to learn, and makes it fun and interesting. You will learn ALOT about yourself and others. Very good sense of humor, and he always tells it like it is. Expect some hard tests...but he more than prepares you for them (trust me). Cannot wait to take him again
Keeps the class interesting and manages to keep the pace of the class up and manages to keep ALL the students moving at the same pace of the class.
This teacher is great. He is very organized and presents the material clearly and completely. He makes class interesting. I will definately be taking his upper level psych classes because he actually helps you get the information in your brain.
One of my favorite teachers at PCC. He's very funny, smart, and the combination of the two make his class very entertaining as well as informative. When speaking with him one on one, he's very friendly, easygoing, and sensitive. He really cares about his students, and it shows. I'm definitely taking his classes again.
Wayne is an amazing passionate teacher who makes it impossible to fail this corse. His knowleged is countered only by his sence of humor and terrific smile. Least I forget this angel of a teacher also lets you use NOTES!!!!! I will miss this class and the teacher.
I can't say enough GOOD things about Wayne Hooke. He is an amazing professor who really makes you interested in what he is teaching! He's funny, extremely smart, and passionate about what he teaches. He really tries to interact with the students which is really nice. I wish all professors were like him! I am DEFINITELY taking him again!
Wayne rocks! I love a teacher whose both funny AND intelligent & Wayne is both. I'm just sad that there are no more classes he teaches that I can take. As for the work; you do need to read the chapters and listen to the lectures if you want an A in the class but if you put in just a smidge of effort and show up 80% of the time you'll do just fine!
I have taken Wayne for Psych 201 and am currently in his 202 class. He's the most amazing, understanding instructor I have ever met. He has an example to go with every topic so it sticks in your head. There isn't enough space to say how great he is, just take him and you will know!
I've taken Wayne's class a few times, and I absolutely love him. He has a way of teaching that is useful, fun and memorable. His classes have been the highlight of my day on many occasions and I've learned so much from him. Highly recommended.
Great teacher - interesting, funny, and very helpful in and outside of class on an individual basis. Doesn't overdo it on the homework, keeps you on your toes with his hilarious lectures, and runs great in-class activities. Take this teacher - you won't regret it.
The best psychology professor ever, period. Funny, witty, craaaazy, and very helpful.
Wayne is an excellent teacher that I would recommend to anyone. It doesnt matter if you are interested in psychology or not, if you get the chance take his courses. He is a fair person who will help you have you are late on something or have a problem. The guy is top shelf!
I have taken two of his courses and I absolutly loved it. The best time spent in school. You actually don't get to track the class time because it flies. I would reccomend him to anyone.
hilarious, uses iclickrs which are awesome, relates to the students but still maintains the professor status. Delivers information in a simple way but not dumbing it down beyond all reason. HIGHLY recommend.

I personally would have liked a more challenging class with some depth to it--this one felt like fluff to me. It depends on what you're looking for. If you just want an enjoyable, easy way to earn 4 credits, and don't care to dig beneath the surface of psychology, his classes are for you. He is helpful, likable and funny.
all i can say is that he is a cool dude. i liked the way he teaches and the way he would sometimes use himself as an example it was pretty funny. he has been the best psy teacher i have had. really cool dude...
Great Teacher. . .the class was very interactive and fun.
He is a fantastic teaceher who understands that we have lives outside of school and does everything he can to help work things out.
Super fun classes! He lets you have notes in test and is interested if you've got issues going on in your life that affect your attendance or grade. A little full of himself, but I'd take another class from him anytime!
ONLINE WEB CLASS. Read, read, read. Because there is no lecture all of your info comes from the book. He's very helpful and tries to address all discussion board posts personally. I wish his class room class fit in to my schedule. From meeting him at the tests I know I'd enjoy his classes. Also, don't get behind there's too much to do.
Great teacher! Keeps class interested and he is very funny. I plan on taking a class with him again.
this is the best teacher there can ever be. he knows his subject and he is very helpful. you will need to learn and do work but im sure you will enjoy it. Lets u use book and notes in midterm and final and quizzes are done through blackboard
Has to be, hands down, the best teacher I have had the pleasure of taking. I have taken him for 2 other courses as well and was not disappointed. Very laid back and colorful. Not afraid to talk about taboo topics. Not an easy A by and means but definitely worth it. Highly Recommend this professor!
He is really helpful and funny. His quizzes are done through blackboard and pretty easy. You have to read your text book, but the lectures are very interactive and is happy to answer any questions. Definitely one of the best psychology teachers I've ever had.
LOVE HIM!! He is awesome! I took his Human Sexuality Classes and he is great! Very flexible in turning in things late, funny and very clear on what he wants. Attendance is mandatory because he has these clickers that do surveys which record points.
Great guy! Knows his subject and keeps you interested. I will take the remainder of Human sexuality with him for sure!
His class is very interesting and never dull! Reading is required if you want to pass the tests, but he really does give you every opportunity to succeed.
Wayne is the man! I have very much enjoyed having him as a teacher. He is very laid back and has a great attitude and sense of humor. I would recommend him to anyone.
He is a great professor... he keeps you entertained while you learn what you need to. he's funny and pretty understanding about turning things in late and such. He uses iclickers for points so you have to go to class. He gives you a grace of mussing one class but after that the clicker points will effect your grade! Overall I would recommend him!!!
If taking a class about sex, for credit, wasn't awesome enough, Mr. Hooke is the perfect guy to teach it. Homework load isn't bad, he's lax on due dates, but you'll learn A LOT and he isn't afraid to talk about anything during class. He has a very charming quirkiness and sense of humor. Oh, and he's also a snazzy dresser. :) chili pepper!
He's very nice and extremely helpful, especially to foreign students like me. I've learned a lot from him. He's ready to spend time to help his students, encourage them and help them to achieve their goal.
It's hard to imagine a better professor than Wayne. He's hilarious yet professional, his lectures are entertaining and clear. In a class about sex, you need a teacher who doesn't make things awkward. Wayne is that guy. Ask him anything. He'll never embarrass you. He always elevates the mood. You'll learn a lot and have a great time while you do it.
Wayne is an awesome teacher. He balances humor with professionalism in what could be an extremely awkward class. He's extremely fair about grading- do the work and go to class. Highly recommended!
loved him so far!
Wayne is amazing! Lenient on turn in dates, extremely funny, nice, and a great teacher. Take a class from him if you want to learn about psychology, and need a stress relief from the daily grind of college. he's great!
Great prof. Fair and helpful. I look forward to having him again.
I love him.Really hope he is a g
would take classes from this professor again
Fun class. Take it even if you don't need it. Awesome teacher. Insightful and interesting.
Wayne Hooke is the boss! Take his class and you will be like a boss too. Challenging, but well worth the effort.
Wayne is a good teacher who is able to present information in a clear and entertaining way. He is very laid back and has a good sense of humor. The class involves a practicum, a literature review paper, and tests on statistical methods in psychology. Outside of class, he is approachable and will offer educational/career advice during office hours.
Wayne is probably my favorite teacher at PCC ever. He teaches very well and makes class fun. I liked him so much i have now taking 4 psy classes with him.
Don't take his online class. I had to re-do 4 assignments because he doesn't teach you how to do them at all & I did exactly what he requested. Feedback is extremely condescending and does not instruct you on how to improve. Lazy online teacher.
I LOVE WAYNE! I've taken two classes from him now, and would take every class he ever taught if it was possible. He's a great guy, great teacher, and is the perfect mix of sweater vest-wearing professor and sailor mouthed weird uncle. He is my favorite.
Excellent teacher
Best teacher I've had at PCC. Class is never boring and he always makes it a good time! Tests aren't too hard and his papers are easy too and he's extremely flexible with his turn in policy.
Took his online class, the weekly quizzes were easy, but he was unclear about how to do his drop-box assignments. His examples gave little help as to how he wants an assignment put together. Material is sometimes dense and uninteresting.
Wayne is funny, approachable, laid back and keeps class interesting. The assignments can be time consuming but he is flexible about deadlines. His tests are completely multiple choice. He grades very fairly. The learning objectives online and in the book are helpful. He took a long time to cover material in lecture because of using the iclickers.
Do not recomment web class or teacher. Main assignment boring and extremely difficult to figure out what is to be done. Weekly test are 5 questions total. Miss one and you drop from A to B. Teacher has lots of excuses and details on site are incorrect therefore confusing for web format. A lot of the class seems lost even up to mid term
Took the class online, comment below is not accurate about quizzes I got an 80 on 2 and still got an A in the class. If you do all the work you can get and A. Wayne is open to helping you, you just have to talk to him about any troubles you are having. He is very fair. I learned a ton about research, that will help in the future with my academics.
He was a great teacher, very interesting to listen to. kept your attention while teaching.
I am taking his class now and I really enjoy it. He is teaching us skills that many people never learn in college. I messed up on one of the quizzes because I did not submit my answers before the time ran out, but he gives one freebie. The course is challenging and fun- just what college should be.
The class is very hard.
I took the online PSY 201 class and learned almost nothing about psychology. It was more like a research class with psychology thrown in. The assignments were rough since he gives long detailed instructions that are hard to understand and tedious to read. I don't recommend taking a class from him unless you want to learn about doing research.
Please, don't take his class.
Wayne means well but has a difficult time relating information to his students in a comprehensible way. In-class lectures are interesting, however there is an online portion that is incredibly demanding and feels more like a grad level research course than a 200 level psych course. Frustrating & difficult. Don't take this class from him.
If I could do this over again, I'd take this class from anyone else. One word- FRUSTRATING.
Wayne means well with his class. His lectures can get really entertaining, however, that's all I can say that is good for him. The entire term, he puts an emphasis on one assignment and that is the research project. This project is very unclear and causes mass confusion. I recommend taking WR 227 before taking this class. Otherwise, DON'T TAKE IT!!
I personally love Wayne to death. Yes his class is challenging, but welcome to college. I learned so much from Wayne and I deeply appreciate his willingness to prepare me for university life. Wayne was helpful to me and no matter how upset I became, he always took the time to listen to me and help me with my assignments. I will take his class again
I would not take from Wayne again. His instructions are unclear and make absolutely NO sense. He is helpful, but it usually came when it was too late. I took PSY201 online, and he only allowed us to take the midterm and final on the weekend of that week. I found that to be extremely difficult with my busy schedule. He assigns too much HW!!!
With his research project, he makes his class confusing and whenever you ask for help he doesn't really know how to answer. On each section of the project I had to spend a range of time of 2-8 hours, and according to him it was ever good enough. Save yourself a headache and avoid this teacher!
Actually, I have not learned much from Wayne. What he lectures in the class is very superficial, while assignments he gives students require a wide range of knowledge. The research project is an overload and unfair for students. In addition, he gives quizes online that require students to know material he has not yet covered.
Hooke's online class is HARD! The research project assignments will take 2 to 3 times longer than is estimated. I learned A LOT about doing proper research, evaluating web pages and interpreting extremely scientific data, but not much about Psychology. You will learn great skills for future science or tech. writing courses, but not Psych.
Class was really fun. He kept you awake even when then the topic was not very interesting. The research projects were hard but he did everything possible to make sure you could work up to a good grade if you put forth the effort. Not a class to half ass it through. Totally recomended.
I learned nothing in this class about Psychology. Our whole term revolved around this research paper. We had quizzes over material we had not even gone over in class. He has good lectures, but if you want to actually learn things out of the book, dont even sign up.
DON'T TAKE THIS CLASS. Research project is way to difficult for an intro class. Not clean on instructions. Lectures are COMPLETELY different from the book (we didnt even use to textbook in class). He does let you re-submmit things, but is still overall, confusing and unfair for a GENERAL PSYCH INTRO PART 1 CLASS!!!
Lectures are great and Wayne is personable. The links between assignments, reading, and lectures aren't super obvious but they all sync up eventually. Research skill development project is tedious but useful. Students looking to coast should look elsewhere, though Hooke is ALWAYS eager to help any student in need.
This intro class sucked. The research paper was terrible and you buy a book you don't use. He is willing to help but it's pointless because the paper is to tedious. Id advise you take a different class because this psychology class isn't about anything interesting its about graphs scientific inquiry.
He was very helpful in clearifying information and making it make sense.
Very unprofessional. He gives research project that is irrelevant to what we need to know in intro to psych.
Human sexuality is a fun class, and Mr. Hooke has an excellent sense of humor. Work load was relatively minimal, and lectures were interesting. Midterm was all multiple choices. I highly recommend this course.
This was a labored intensive class, not what I expected, but I liked Wayne..he was good about being thorough and if you didn't understand was patient at explaining until you got the concept. He always had the class engaged, by the end of the term, I was really interested in this class. I would take another class from him again
Very difficult class. Very boring. I like Hooke, but it's not a very fun class. If you want to learn how to research, you should take this class. If not, then don't.
I think he is wonderful. The class is very difficult. The online quizzes were difficult for bc I have never used Desire to learn before. I applied myself, but after speaking to Hooke after mid terms I dropped the class. For an intro psyc I think expectations were too high. Take Cynthia Golledge for intro psyc!
Name a fault, he's got it. Inflexible, incoherent, and to top it off he'll make fun of you if you ask questions he thinks are stupid. Quizzes given before the material is taught, and best of all is he tries to teach statistics in the middle of a psychology class - and he's not very good at teaching either. Learned practically nothing with him.
Dr. Hooke teaches something that you don't see much of in classes these days. He gives you the tools you need to accurately internalize, process, and interpret real information, facts, and scientific studies. It's not an easy thing to learn but he is there to hold your had IF you ask for his help. Hooke is an essential instructor at PCC.
This class is very confusing. It is hard to tell when assignments are due. He does not respond to emails. Wayne is condescending when he does answer your questions in a public forum. Hard class to take online. Maybe it is different with him in class.
He is one of the best professors that I have ever had, I was fighting Moderate Clinical Depression during my term in his class and he did everything he could to ensure that I had what I needed to succeed. Regardless of what the bad ratings say, this class will help you succeed in the future and is a refreshing take on an intro psych class.
Mr. Hooke is the homie. The class seems like it is going to be hard the first day. It is a hard class but Hooke is the type of teacher that wants his students to do well. If you put in the effort and communicate with him you will get a great grade in the class. He also looks like Ryan Gosling.
Hard to get at first. however; if you talk with him he is very helpful and explains it nicely. tone is hard to read in email.
This isn't a psychology class, this is a statistics class. In class we do not discuss the book but are tested on it. Instead we learn about statistics so we can complete a research project that takes all term. If you've never been in a statistics class stay away, because you'll have no idea what's going on in class.
Wayne is a fun & funny teacher. This class has 3 major parts A research assignment, book quizzes, & in class lecture points (through Iclicker)The research paper is difficult to understand at first but Wayne is a great help and knows you wont understand it at first. Book quizzes are weekly & the reading is homework. Apply yourself & u will do great
It is funny seeing "Didn't even use book" and also "Quizes on stuff he hasn't taught!" This is college, do your reading assignments, come prepared to class! Lectures add to the reading. As for the research project, yeah, it is tough for kids that have never had to do a real paper before. He gives you a huge manual explaining it in detail though!
Wayne is passionate about psychology and teaching. He is a brilliant man who is happy to share is knowledge with others. Wayne provides interesting and insightful lectures. His class and assignments are straight forward and doable.
Overall, a good teacher. To do well, you need to go to do a few things: 1) set aside time consistently to read the a chapter a week from the book because there is a weekly online quiz 2) go to class to get iClicker points 3)make sure to get a good group for the group project. He uses a lot of real life examples, and is knowledgable. Recommended.
You do not need this class to take Psy 202 fyi. Research project is a group project and to much for Intro to Psy He expects you to read the textbook and gives a week for the test to be taken. No teacher gives you 150 points for showing up and press button A-D when asked a question. Final replaces Midterm if you do poorly on it.
His lectures were so boring. Also assigned a huge assignment that I had to re-do a few times - extremely frustrating. Even though the class was challenging, he is a really funny and sweet professor. Also a class that uses the iClicker.
GROUP. PROJECTS. Shoot me now. The only thing you'll be doing alone is test. All the rest are with a group. Even big papers. Good luck with that. Especially if you get stuck with a BAD group like I did. Will really make your time in the class a living hell. He rambles on, waist of time. I was looking forward to the class:( DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He's funny and kinda nice but his grading system is dumb and ALL projects are group projects. He rambles on during lectures and wastes time. I don't feel like he's teaching me anything. Instructions for projects are complicated and unclear. Midterm & final are easy if you study. Everything is online which I personally don't like. He's often late.
This is a psy class, but he personally never lectures on it. We read an online text that generates its own quizzes. Group projects that focus on analyzing stats. If you dont kno stats this class will be near impossible to pass. Guidelines for project are extensive (59 pgs). Feedback is demeaning& unclear. 1st C ever in college & Im a Senior @ PSU
This is by far the WORST class I have EVER taken. All we did was "meta-analysis" and statistics. All of the feedback was negative and no one could do any of the projects to his satisfaction even after resubmitting them several times. We didn't learn anything. If I could rate this class a complete 0 I would.
Wayne Hooke is an excellent professor. If you're going to take this class, be ready for group projects! There are few tests but he is definitely a fair grader. If there are any clarifications needed, he is always there during class time. He makes the class personal by really trying to get in touch with the students through examples. He is great!!!
Do not take this class if you are looking to dip your toes into psychology or if you appreciate guidance from your professors. The whole point of his curriculum is to understand meta-analysis which does require some sort of understanding on how statistics work. This is NOT an easy A nor B. I think average score of the final was 70%.
This professor is the worst I have ever had! Group projects determine your grades. Focus's more on p-values and correlations than the actual content of the class. Don't know much about evaluating meta-analyses or scientific research? Well, don't worry, he wont help you much either. You will however, have reading material, and no clear direction.
Worst Class EVER. ALL Group Projects, BASICALLY A STATS CLASS. Hardly addresses book content. Directions are unclear. SAVE YOUR TUITION and Pick another teacher!
Horrible horrible horrible. He says he's changed his teaching style to a "flipped classroom." Basically this means you learn a lot through the book at home and then come to class and listen to him ramble about psych statistics, p-values, research methodologies, etc. This is supposed to be a 200 level course. Not a psych research methods class.
Awful!! We have an online textbook whoch is actually interesting, but then i come to class and its all stats! He never talks about the things you learn through the textbook and his lectures make no sense. Hes funny and a nice guy, but not a good teacher.
If you have a full time or even part time job, or want to have a life outside of school, don't have this professor. The amount of homework you're assigned is infuriating. Prepare for around 20+ hours of homework a week. It's an online textbook., but I find he uses it as an excuse to not teach. He is frequently late, between 10-30 minutes.
Iv'e taken psychology courses in the past, never really understood them, took this class, and honestly didn't even pay attention and I still comprehended everything, he had really good lectures Book work/ quizzes/ and tests are all online (minus the midterm and final) and super easy (there not timed) If you study the midterm/final is easy.
I've taken courses from 5 colleges in Oregon over the past few years and Wayne Hooke is an excellent instructor. He covers the material well and in a way that ensures we deepen our individual understanding during class. I'm guessing the people complaining don't really like psychology and/or are not intrinsically motivated to learn(aka hate school).
Great teacher! He always makes time to help you out on anything. Class is hard initially but gets much better if you get through the first part of the project. Mr. Hooke is very clear and has a good sense of humor. The class will teach you a lot if you want to learn. If you are not interested in psychology you might want to take another teacher.
Funny teacher with amazing lectures. Super fun class!
Pretty fun
Wayne is an amazing professor. He enjoys being casual, but when it comes down to it, can be professional in purposeful situations. Disregard the previous posts of too much hw, I took this class in 2018 and he assigned reading every week (majority of teachers do), a couple EASY journal entries, and a single term project (powerpoint, also fairly easy
He is such a good professor! He is super funny and is always willing to meet outside of class if you have a question and makes sure that you have a good grasp on everything that is being worked on. I give him a solid 10/10 and thats the tea sis
He is such a great professor! When you submit assignments he often gives you thorough feedback and lets you resubmit for more points. He always responds to emails and is very understanding. Not to mention hes hilarious! Ive had him for 3 different courses.
pretty easy class overall. definitely need to pay attention. youll be doing lots of research. easy grader and straight forward.
Great lessons but homework is nonstop textbook reading from an online book that was never lectured to us. Class is easy if you don't have a full time job and dedicate your life to that one class to study course material that is never even discussed in person. Just take this online if you can.
I think Wayne is hilarious. He's kind, and very willing to work with you if you have any troubles. However, sometimes he finds difficulty explaining things in a way that students can easily grasp. His focus is completely on meta-analysis, which it turns out is pretty applicable to other studies.
Wayne is an AMAZING teacher. He is hilarious and he is always there to help you with anything your finding difficult in the class. He is completely understandable and willing to adjust time lines for stuff if you talk to him. By far one of the best teachers I've had.
Wayne is a great guy. He really knows his stuff and makes lectures interesting.
I took his PSY201A class online, and overall, it was decent. I personally believe he belongs in the classroom and not online as a professor. Some of the assignments weren't explained that great on D2L, and some assignments took awhile to complete due to that. Prof. Hooke is a great guy, but take his class in person & not online if you want the best
Rude, insensitive and lazy. Told us after grading our final projects to do edits, and he "can't guarantee he will get around to it". No lectures. Homework didn't correlate with textbook. Like pulling teeth to get any constructive feedback from him. Made us redo all projects just weeks before end of term. As a straight A student; he is the worst.
Would have given 0 if I could. Had to email him at least 3 times a week because he provided no lectures; and no grades for homework until 2/3 through the term. Class was interesting and textbook was fun, but the teacher was the worst I have ever had. Extremely condescending. Should not teach online classes. Insensitive to people's schedules.
Wayne is an overall great person. Although his lectures at first had zero correlation with what we were reading in the online textbook but I realized that Wayne wanted to teach his students more real life knowledge and skills rather than things you're going to forget anyways after the term ends. I enjoyed his lectures as he was very animated.
Took Wayne's psychology class a few terms ago and loved him. Although I don't think I'll be pursuing psychology in the future, the skills his class taught me have been extremely helpful. If you plan to go into scientific research, his class provides a strong foundation for reading scientific literature, a skill which I have found to be invaluable.
Wayne is a really cool professor. Don't let the all-caps, red bolded words that he uses on D2L scare you, he just wants to point out the deadlines, that's really it. He has a sarcastic sense of humor and honestly made the lectures so fun to listen to. There are readings but that's expected and it's not bad. If you do the work, you'll get that A.
Wayne was a good teacher to have. He does give lot of homework, but its doable. I found that I would always have to re-read his lectures just to make some more sense of them. This is a good class, can be a little hard at times BUT learned a lot. If you are used to doing the work, you will get an A in this class.
Wayne is awesome! As long as you do all of your work, you'll definitely pass this class. He responds to emails right away and gives one-on-one time whenever needed. He is also very friendly with a good sense of humor. I learned a lot about psychology as well as tools to use in real life. You can tell he wants all his students to succeed.
Nice guy, always responds to your concerns. My problem is the content. It's a Human Development class and he does lectures ONLY on Statistical analysis. The data he discusses in every class has nothing to do with development AT ALL. Most of the things I learned in the class were on my own through the textbook. I didn't sign up for a stat class.
He's a nice guy but this class is a nightmare. Impossible to reach him or get help outside of class until the last week when it was too far gone. Assignments are confusing and have little explanation, speaks to you like you should already know what he's talking about. Textbook required with embedded assignments TONS OF READING. CHOOSE SOMEONE ELSE
Wayne has taken it upon himself to essentially teach a hyper-specific meta-analysis methods class rather than intro to Psychology. I get it, it's useful to know how to read scientific literature, but I paid $500 to take PSY201, not a research methods class. I cannot stress enough that you will teach yourself. He will not teach you PSY201 AT ALL
It's true that this class goes over statistical analysis and how to read scientific papers WAY more than I expected, but I found it useful once it came time to do research so I really don't think it was useless as others have said. However, I learned more about human development from the book than from the lectures. Lots of busywork in lecture.
he can teach but his lectures are boring in my opinion. he is a nice guy. and funny. he does focus alot on research methods more than pyc itself. but i mean its a pretty easy class. I rather just take a class like this online specifically with no zoom sessions. He grading aint bad at all, very direct.
