Prof Langehennig knows his material, and is excellent in his ability to convey it in a learnable manner. I wished i would have him for 1502. This is not a slacker class, and U must B willing to put the effort into learning. In Hindsight, I really like spanish now b/c of Prof. Langehennig. Thanks Prof. 4 teaching me!

Professor Langehennig certainly has a knack for teaching spanish. He makes learning interesting and is willing to help not only with the given cirriculum, but also with any outside interests or projects students might have regarding the spanish culture in general. Professor Langehennig makes himself readily available for any questions or problems.

I thought the class was very hard at times but, I learned a lot more than I thought I would.

I never imagined i would be able to achieve the amount of knowledge i have with this professor. I have taken 3yrs prior to this class and never learned more than i did in the first week of class. Mr. langehenning is the best profesor i have had in my college experience so far. i gave him a hard time because he gave me a hard time. A+ for a respecte

Wayne Langehenning was the best spanish teacher, he made this class very easy to learn. He was very clear on his instructions, exams,homework,etc. He is very supportive of his students.

Mr. L was a great teacher who knew what he was talking about and teaching to his students. Everyone in my beginner's class walked out knowing a lot more spanish than expected in the first semester.

Mr. L is by far the best Spanish professor I have ever had. I struggled a lot in that class but he kept encouraging me and giving me help when I needed it. He cares a lot about his students and makes the language a lot easier to learn then other professors. i strongly recommend Mr. L.

I was very nervous about taking Spanish II when i hadn't even had Spanish I before. This professor actually made me interested in taking more Spanish classes.

He truly has a passion for seeing his students succeed! He'll bend over backward to help you if you ask. He takes a sincere interest in his students & is easy to talk to. He makes the effort to communicate & makes the class fun. He has the insight to vary his teaching methods to match the needs of his students. Too bad he can't teach every subject!

Always a fun class easy to get along with.

I found his was fair with grading and the tests were exactly as he said they would be. I felt that there were times when the online work was too much. I found that actual worksheets were more beneficial. I am taking his class again.

He is a really good professor! He know's what he is teaching and is really good at it. Very helpful. I liked that he used to live in Mexico and knows more about the language than just being taught to speak it.

I took him from 1501 & 1502 and I'm very glad that I did. It seems like a lot of work (and it is) but it's not TOO bad. If you need help he's there for you...and he also has a good sense of humor =)

This class was a very beneficial. The professor was very patient and concerned about our grade..that speaks for itself. Highly recomended.

He is extremely thorough. The pace of the class is excellent if you have had spanish but it has been a long time.

I found him to be easy to understand and follow as well as always willing to help. Although he did assign a lot of my spanish lab homework. My only complaint would be that at times it was almost impossible to get all of the assignments finished. We all have other classes but his always took up the most time.

Loved the teacher! Really made me enjoy what I was learning. Only person I aver want to take a language from again. More then helpful in the fact he loaned me a book, a spanish speaking cd kit and was always willing to help me out as long as I kept in in the loop prior to missing a class. Will definitely tell everyone to take his class. A+++++

Great class and the professor was helpful and more than generous with absences and tardies. Learned a whole lot in his class and actually speaking spanish in the class helped me tremendously. Spanish lab was sometimes a bit much but very helpful.

i love mr. langehennig! his class is not really that hard. its just up to the students if they want to get something out of his class.during the first of the class, i thought i wasnt gonna survive but i put more effort on my studies and sure enough i made a decent grade after the semester ended! always keep in mind to listen to him and you'll see!

Mr. Langehennig, is a great teacher, his spanish is really good which means you will really learn the language. His tests are not hard as long as you study. He is very helpful, if you as him for help.

Prof. Langehennig offered a fabulous class. You definitely have to work hard and show up for class, but a good grade is definitely attainable as long as you don't let yourself fall behind. Great course and wonderful teacher.

I enjoyed the class, which is a surprise because Spanish is one of my least favorite studies. However Professor Langehennig made it more enjoyable than I had expected. I learned much more in one semester than I have in three years of high school Spanish.

Professor Langehennig was the best instructor I can remember ever having, regardless of the subject! Not only was he extremely helpful and very detailed so we always left class knowing exactly what was expected of us and had no surprises, but he made the atmosphere very fun and creative. He did challenge us so we learned new things every day though

Very good professor! He was very helpful and you can tell he loves his job. He is not very stern but is very good at teaching various levels of foreign language competency. He will work with you and if you try really hard you will earn an A. He is also very funny and shares interesting and funny stories with the class. HES AWESOME!!!

Sr. Langehennig is just one of the best. I can't say enough good about him. You can tell that he loves his job and he will work with you as much as you need. He makes class fun and keeps you engaged. I wouldn't take Spanish with anyone else.

This is not a blow off class, but an A is do-able. He is an excellent teacher and makes Spanish fun. (His stories are fun, too!) Very willing to help & will work quite hard to give you the tools you need to succeed. Really teaches you the language & gives you plenty of tricks to navigate speaking Spanish. I wouldn't take Spanish with anyone else.

I thought the class was very enjoyable, and he made things where you understood them very easily. i did not enjoy the reader it was very hard and time consuming. But over all an awesome class to take!

Minor annoyance... Prof was always a few minutes late arriving and then the most important information for class came at the end and many days we ended up staying late. There were days where he was very prepared and others that he seemed to be just trying to fill the two hours by winging it.

Great class. I am not that great at learning languages, but Mr. L and his class was really enjoyable. I was felt comfortable discussing things with him. The class was still challenging. But overall this was one of my best classes.

The teacher was super helpful and easy to understand. It had been a while since I took Spanish so I was really worried about being behind but he was more than willing to help me out. You do have to actually work and study to do really well in the class, but it's pretty easy if you actually take the time to do the work!

He was a little tough at first stick w the class it gets a little easier! But he's def there for help and advice. The last few days of class I really enjoyed.

Seriously a good teacher, the class is not easy--especially in a summer session, but he teaches very well. He has relevant experience, is easy to understand, and is funny (sometimes)--which makes the class not only tolerable, but enjoyable.

Mr. Langhennig's summer class went by quickly for me because I really enjoyed his instruction. He is so thorough in his explanations, and he offered lots helpful pointers and advice. I really wish I had taken one of his classes during the regular school year. You are in VERY good hands with this professor, plus he's one of those hot nerdy types.

Took this class in the summer, so hard BUT he gives your the tools to get the job done. He is very helpful and patient. He will always mAke himself available for extra help. A great class, just go in ready to have fun and speak up, even if you do not have a strong Spanish background you will definitely learn so much .

I was a full-time student at Texas Tech and needed Spanish to fulfill my degree. Hands down, this was the best instructor I've had at any College. He really takes the time to get to get to know you and instruct you individually. Very upfront with what to expect from the class. If you do poorly, it is entirely on you. He will always help if you ask!

He is always there to help with anything possible. Also everything on exams he reviews and goes over. I would definitely recommend!

very good is always willing to help expect homework on my Spanish lab however if you ever have problems he's always there to help explain things and several test. the final is a cumulative however if you don't have more than 3 or 4 absences it is not required can replace a bad test grade if u need to however the oral exam is required

Never gave Spanish a thought after high school was shocked to find out we needed it in law enforcement this guy will truly help you he want you to succeed he can joke around but he can also be serious true master of his craft

Professor Langehennig is great. He made coming to class fun and enjoyable. He is very helpful when you're struggling and will do whatever it takes to help you pass. His stories are interesting and there is never a dull moment in class. The homework is done online, and he sometimes give you class time to work on it. I highly recommend him!!

Wayne Laneheenning is a very good instructor. In my course it would have been nice to have him as an instructor longer. I would be able to learn more, but I did learn so much in a short period of time.

Learned more Spanish from Professor Lagehennig in two days than I ever did in three years of high school Spanish classes.

Mr. Langehennig definitely knows what he is doing. The experience shows. He has a solid teaching method that I wish more Spanish teachers knew. I feel as if in the 3 days that we had him, I learned more about Spanish than I have the whole time through grade school. I would recommend and would choose to take his course again!

I do not speak Spanish and was worried about passing this class. Professor Langehennig made this class bearable. He was funny and explained things in a way that was easy to understand.

Professor Langehennig cares about his students. He will work with you if you put in effort. He is one of the best professors at south plains. The class can be difficult if you wait to study for this class. He uses MySpanishLAB, notes in class, and has 3-4 doable tests. If you miss two classes expect to take the final but not a hard final.

This professor reached out to me and helped me get through the semester since it was a rough one. He made a difference in my semester showing me what im capable of.

Mr. Langehennig is an amazing Spanish professor! I had him both in SPAN1411 and 1412. He is always available to answer questions during or even outside class time. He is very knowledgeable on the subject and seems to enjoy what he does. I would highly recommend him!

Professor Langehennig is an amazing teacher. He takes a vested interest in his students and truly cares about our success. It is important to attend class as participation is counted towards your grade. The homework is primarily done through Pearson SpanishLabs and is fairly easy to complete. I highly recommend taking his class.

Hard, but worth it.

He has you work with your group or another individual to learn together. It made things much easier to get out of our seats and put what we were saying into action. Its intimidating to learn a new language but with his experience he knows how to help make it easier for his students.

We read a book in Spanish, so be aware of that. The book is very good at helping you learn new verbs and conjugations. It gives you an idea of what real conversations in Spanish would look like. Mr. Langehennig is a really good professor. He is always willing to help you if youre struggling. You do need to read thoroughly and study often.

Excellent educator! He made learning Spanish understandable and easy to follow especially for those who dont know a lick of Spanish. I highly recommend. We did read a book in this class and it helped in remembering and utilizing vocabulary. Attend class! Missing a day can really put you behind.

Attend class and you'll be okay. All homework on myspanishlab and try not to miss because they are a huge part of your grade. The test area easy ! Would take again

I would have like to see more situations in which we would utilize Spanish in the scope of duty.

Professor Langehennig is an excellent instructor. I took his Summer courses and although there was a lot of material to cover he made it much more enjoyable. His lectures were a great aid for completing assignments and he cares very much about helping everyone be successful in his course. I highly recommend taking any of his Spanish courses.

I took Mr. Langehennig for 4 semesters of spanish. The grading and homework assignments are basically the same schedule every week which made it easy. The in person class is made up of mainly lectures to be ready to take notes.

Very understandable and was able to find out what would help us remember the material easier.

In the Very short time available (3days) , I learned more useful information, resources, and Spanish than I did during my highschool Spanish classes. He stayed focused on real life, relevant information and kept us engaged.

I had him for a police academy course and he was awesome. He taught us all the relevant information we needed to know and did a great job and ensuring we were successful.

Mr. Langehennig has been the most effective and efficient language instructor I have ever had. He grades fairly, has a drive that is infectious and finds the way that his students learn the best. He will put in just as much effort into your instruction as you put into yourself. He helped me understand my strengths, and what could help me later.
