He includes material on tests that he doesn't discuss, however, it is in the readings. Oh well. All in all, he is hilarious and a great guy. Talk about fun classes.

110 & 220 as well. He is VERY eccentric, but willing to do whatever it takes for you to get the concepts. Great for psyc STATS course! <- one of the best for this subject. He teaches in his own way, but gets the job done. Expect wild and wacky antics.

Wayne was an awesome teacher!! He always made sure everyone understood everything and his quizzes and tests were easy. He's really eccentric and funny, i'd definitely take another class with him. The text and study guide were really good too. he likes to talk about the 60's..

Wayne is a very entertaining instructor. High energy with lots of crazy stories. The man has LIVED, not spent his whole life in the inbred world of academia! I studied harder for this class than I have for anything in my life, but it paid off: A+!

Wayne expects his students to be able to think, this should be expected at this level. He was fun and energetic and though hard, I retained a great deal from his class.

teaches u how to learn in the moment. at first he's crazy "scary, gotta get outta here"; then he's crazy "wow, sure makes class go by faster". its a little unclear on what to study exactly, but ya, smart teacher. watches a lot of tv & im sure he has caffeine running through his veins.

WOW he's jumpy but very interesting to talk to and listen to. Amazing knowledge but incredibly hard on tests. Not the typical test. He tests experiments/theories/logic not just useless knowledge (which is good) but I was caught off guard. Always late but class goes by fast because he's very funny. Hard to take notes w/o a laptop tho.

Wayne is a good instructor and his classes are usually interesting. He can take dull material and make it more interesting. However, he is also gives very difficult tests (maybe to hard?) and expects everyone to be as smart as him... hmmm... he's pretty smart. Overall, a great educator, and you will learn a lot in his classes.

Here's a tip for you guys that are stressing: Go to him and ask him for the possible short answer questions that will be on the test. He will give them to you! and his m/c questions are from the online test bank. He is not pure evil!

Wayne is awesome. Yeah he marks hard, but if you know your stuff.. you will be fine! He expects that you put in the work.. and if you do you'll end up with a decent grade. I would definitely take Wayne again. He is hilarious as well.. and a pure genius.

I dont know why everyone is complaining about Wayne. I am in first year and i took my first psych class with him and he is a really good teacher! Althought he is a little crude, that is just his sense of humor. If people do bad on tests, he gives you a chance to do better by letting you redo the questions on the next text you have. Good Prof!

Wayne is very fair. He expects you to understand the material for tests but does not overload you with assignments. Great teacher overall.

Wayne is an amazing professor. The only reason people do not like him is because he is a hard marker and you have to know your stuff to do well in his classes. The psychology department is lucky to have him - he is a genius. He really cares about his students and wants you to excel. You just have to put in the time.

Lecture's always strayed off subject. He got onto rabbit trails, and told jokes/stories constantly. With that being said, the lectures were fun and entertaining, not helpful though. Tests were super easy as long as you read the text. He tells you what the short answers will be. He's truly a genius.

Wayne offered tons of time outside of class to anybody who was having a tough time. A smart guy with a great philosophy on life.

Wayne is a good guy but as a prof I'm not so sure. Anything I've learned is from the text, he makes 4 hours exams that you only have 3 hours to do, he talks and sings during exams which makes it hard to concentrate. I give the guy props for definately knowing his stuff... but I wouldn't take him again.

His class was always entertaining, and was always open to questions. He explained things well and offered help outside of class, and before exams. I would take a class with him again.

His class was always entertaining and fun. The exam was not hard,it was just too much. I would take another class with him for sure.

Wayne is eccentric and can be frustrating when he goes off on tangents, but he's a good prof who knows his material. He's more than willing to put in LOTS AND LOTS of extra time in order for you to understand the material. Yes, his tests are difficult.... He expects you to actually learn the material. Go figure.

I've never met a teacher more willing to help his students IN MY LIFE! He gets a bad rep because he expects his students to actually LEARN the material. Exams are long, but they are also open book. He does get sidetracked during lectures but his stories are hilarious, and highly appreciated in the middle of a heavy stats lecture!

Wayne undestands his subject and while he does move all over the place in lecture, if you've done the readings you can follow along. He's extremely helpful in the tutorial sessions he has to help his students. You're LEARN how to do statistics, not regurgitate what is in the textbook.He's a fair marker and a good prof!

Best teacher Ive ever had. He may not be best for everyone. If you don't like teachers easily sidetracked by crazy anecdotes he is not for you. however he explains things very clearly, he is willing to take extra time to help people who don't get it and he keeps it interesting

I took 101 with him online and there was a lot of reading to get through, and the material was pretty dense. There were no papers, just a weekly quiz out of 25, and small discussion, also weekly. You have to study to pass the quizzes & exams are pretty hard! He was really great though, and wants his students to do well. Put in the time to do well.

He explained exceptionally well, cared for, listened to, & respected all students, very available & helpful out of class, fair exams. Online Aplia a bit hard, tho helpful.Went in terrified of Stats, came out with an A! Very practical instructor.

Wayne is the most dedicated teacher I have come across yet. When I say dedicated, I mean he is dedicated to endless hours of helping students learn so they may pass his course. His humor makes attending a joy and although the content of the class was very difficult, Wayne's style and commitement made it fun and possible to suceed!

Literally, I spent most of this class laughing. Although he tends to go off topic a lot, I laughed so hard with the stories and random things he talked about. The only good things about this class is he's very dedicated and the aplia assignments are worth 25% so if you screw up on his hard tests you still have those to bring you up!

He does a really great job of breaking things down if you don't understand what he is talking about and he is very helpful. The material is dry but he does the best he can to make it fun!

Wayne likes to entertain and genuinely cares about his students. He wants them to understand concepts and apply them to real life, not recite the text. You need to work for a good grade in his class but I feel as though he marks very fairly. In PSYC 110 you must attend class as examples are critical to prepare for exams.

Don't expect an easy walk in the park course. His online notes didn't follow the text but apart from that, know text and his notes inside and out and you will be fine. Expect to spend a lot of time studying, he even warns you about the time commitment. He was had problems uploading online quizzes but decent course. Non cumulative and interesting.

Stats is stats.. Wayne makes sure students understand things before he moves on which is nice, and he's terribly rude and vulgar which makes you want to come to class, its always a laugh! His marking is accurate not hard because there is only right or wrong answers. Black and white. My only issue was that he talked about his son more than stats..

Wayne genuinely wants everyone to learn & do well in his courses. If you keep open communication with him, he is willing to go out of the way to help you, he wants you to succeed. He is brilliant bordering on crazy, which makes his classes interesting, but sometime hard to follow. Attend classes - he loves debates, jokes, and pontificating. Fun!

If you like sarcastic humor and are willing to put in an effort then Wayne is an amazing teacher. I didn't expect to laugh so much in a Stats course but he made the material understandable and took away the dryness of the topic. Go to class and ask questions when you don't understand, he is always willing to help his students.

Big fan of Wayne's classes. He is off the wall with his presentation and humour and truly kept the classes interesting and engaging. Definitely do not even think about slacking in his class. He is tough and expects a lot from you, but he's right to.

Favourite prof at UFV. He is hilarious, clear cut, and genuinely cares about his students LEARNING the material rather than regurgitating the text. His exams are long and brutal, but if you study and know your stuff there is no reason you shouldn't do well.

Wayne is pretty odd, but he is a really smart guy. He does grade fairly and he genuinely cares about his students, allows breaks, and will make you laugh.

Amazing prof! You won't go a class without laughing. There are no assignments, so your grade is based off of the midterms you get. There are four midterms and no final.

If you are willing to work very hard, you can succeed in Wayne's course. He is a hard marker with very long exams but you get a cheat sheet, he uploads videos of his lectures and offers out of class tutorials. He does everything he can to get you to pass but you have to do the work!!! Also he makes many inappropriate jokes and wears a kilt. Haha.

He hypes up his own tests, claiming they make people cry. I think the class is overwhelming at first but soon comes down to memorizing the textbook and his Wayne's World notes. Just get ready to write essays on boring research methodology. Study for the FINAL (38%) before you put all your energy into the paper (20%)

Contrary to what I read previously about Wayne he is an excellent prof. Very willing to help if you ask and very understanding and caring. All his exams are what he says no surprises. Would recommend taking and keeping an open mind.

Wayne is awesome. His 110 class is hard, but so worth it. On the flip-side, he'll give you the resources to pass. he lets you know from the start what to expect from his class. Love the online stuff. I found it provided a more hands on approach with the material. He's also super funny. hes also good about providing help when you ask him for it.

Wayne can be frustrating with his long tangents and eccentric personality. This does however make the class slightly more interesting, as long as you aren't offended easily. Can be hard to reach by email though, so I don't recommend for an online class.

For the psych 101 class I took with him all the homework was online and we had a test after every two chapters that consisted of 20 multiple choice questions and 2 short answers. He releases the homework once hes finished the chapter but sometimes he forgets

Wayne, is absolutely quirky and funny... if you have a good sense of humor and aren't easily offended. There is quite a bit of homework that you have to do online, as well as reading, and note taking. Some times he can be unclear of what he wants, and forgets to open portals for homework! so that can be annoying but over all good prof.

Honestly, I enjoyed Wayne's class. Although his teaching was a little scattered, you know you are going to walk into class and have a few laughs. He is a funny guy who is willing to work with his students in order to improve the class I felt that he truly cared about his students and let them work for the grades they wanted. Thanks Wayne!

Wayne is fascinating. Course wasn't particularly difficult and lectures clearly covered all test material. Only did a couple test every few chapters before exam, which was not cumulative. super hilarious teacher, super knowledgeable in what he teaches and makes sure to be accessible outside of class whenever you need, even holds extra lectures if you need more help, also super caring and understanding but gives an insane amount of homework that is very challenging and time consuming and exams are long and a lot of work

I usually have trouble staying awake in my other psych class, but Wayne is really engaging. People say he goes off topic a lot. That's true, but when he does it is important for the context. He makes some risky jokes which in my opinion is great since so many teachers are pretty stale about going out of the norm. Definitely enjoying class.

I had Wayne for psyc 110 and psyc 101 and he was an awesome teacher. He understood that online learning was a challenge to students and new to everyone and did his best to support during these times. You'll get an high grade as long as you read the textbook and watch the lectures. He also gave extensions if needed. Makes a stats course do-able

For an online class, Wayne was pretty absent. He posted approx. 2-hour lectures each week and expected us to complete a weekly quiz and online assignment. He is available outside of class though if you have questions or need help. Good dude, decent prof.

sweet guy. honestly a great prof especially for this course. records lectures, the learning's up to you, but it's a good course and this guy will treat ya well if you take it with him. Not heavy on work, no final, but you learn everything you'd need.

easy if your taking him online the whole class is through an online thing called mindtap. Just read the textbook do the hw and take the quiz. He posts lectures to help and holds office hours. He is also super nice and seems to love psych.

Wayne is my favourite prof; i loved going to his lectures because I loved hearing all the out-of-pocket stuff he would say. he makes his students actually interested in what he's saying in the way he speaks and applies his own life experiences. i didn't find him tough at all. We also had no exams, only 2 papers which i heavily preferred

All I did was download PowerPoints and watch lectures of more difficult lessons. No textbook but you might want one for open book final. He was very generous in the final exam and knowledgable about his class. Straightforward lessons and expectations. He's 'a real one and he answers questions. Give respect, get respect.

You are only graded on a paper, an assignment of Integrative questions and class discussions. He loves to talk, on any given topic. Best part of his lectures was waiting to see what his tshirt was gonna say (they can be offensive).

He does a great job of making a difficult class manageable. He makes the homework worth 40% so you can easily pass if you do the homework and study a bit for the tests. The midterm and exam are open book, so you can take your time and work through the questions. I'd recommend getting the physical text for the tests alone.
