Jesus christ... easiest teacher ever! Pretty boring, but it is math.
The best math teacher I've ever had in my life, PERIOD! What a nice, intelligent, patient man this is. He explains everything so well the material SEEMS EASY. Take him if you can, you'll be happy you did.
Best math teacher ive ever had!! He's very helpful and very clear on things.
He explains every step clearly and makes math interesting.
Professor was overall a good teacher. Sometimes would throw a curveball on a test.
He explains everything vary clear.
Best math professor ever, and quite possibly the best professor I've ever had, period. He is extremely knowledgeable, concise and very adept at making math easy. I wasn't particularly interested in math before his class, but now I'm seriously considering changing my major.
This was the worst math class i have ever taken! I ended up with a D and retook the class during the summer and got a B.6 other people in my summer class were retaking it after they took him.when a lady asked him for help he told her he wasnt there to teach that she should know the stuff already!i dont reccommend taking him.
Horrible teacher!! Worst math teacher I've ever had! I barely passed the class and he wouldn't help if you asked for it. Don't take this class if you aren't a math whiz!
Best teacher ever. This guy is amazing at explaining and helping with math. People complaining about him probably have difficulty just counting to 10 by themselves, because he's beyond articulate, detailed, knowledgeable and patient. MAT1033 was much easier than my HS Advanced Math course 7yrs ago. Take this professor's class if you can.

AWESOME guy!!! He makes math as painless as possible, is VERY clear, and his teachings are on the mark!!
ALWAYS Requested this teacher when looking for a math class.
Loved him! He has a knack for teaching math. It's been 7yrs since HS and he made everything come right back to me in a matter of weeks. Take Mr. Wannamaker. If you can't learn algebra with him, you can't learn algebra.

Factor his intelligence with his ability to teach Math and it = WOW! If you want to learn Algebra and think you can't, take his class. He loves to teach and it shows. He makes everything crystal clear and goes around to each desk to help his students as needed. When is the last time you saw a professor who would do this?! THERE IS NO BETTER MA
He is by far the best math teacher that I have taken at CFCC. He explains complicated concepts in a way that most students would find it easy to understand. He also goes out of his way to help students and he often come into the skills lab to assist other students that need help even though they aren't even in his class. Gradingpolicyisveryfair.
Pro. Wanamaker is the best math teacher for me by far. He is absolutely clear on what he says, his examples are crisp clear. I got an A+,:) in summer. And best of all does not care if u come late.;) He wears a tee that says'' 4 out of 3 students have problem with fractions'' something like that.

Professor Wanamaker wears great shirts on exam days. "Pumpkin Pi," "4 out of 3 people don't understand fractions"...he's helpful, concise, and easy to learn from, even if (like me) you don't think you can learn algebra. If you have the opportunity, take his class!
If you don't like math, Wannamaker is for you! While he's not "easy," he explains everything so that you will learn what you need to know. Plus he has a sense of humor and really wants to help you learn
This class was pretty easy. My advice to anyone who has him (or anyone in college period) is to go to class every week and do the in-class assignment and homework. If you do that, then you should have no problem passing the class with a good grade. Also, pay really close attention to the last chapter, he explains it well, but it can be confusing
I averaged a D in math throughot high school and absolutely hate it. Had to go through prep algebra and then took Wan for the Intermediate algebra class this summer and passed it with an average of 102. I highly recommend him as a math teacher. He's very clear and precise with what he wants and he is damn good at teaching it. Wan is a must-take pro
easy class if u show up. he makes things more confusing if u ask a question
He's funny and very passionate about math. He's supportive and encouraging. Algebra was super easy with this teacher. He takes time in class to address problems and his grading works really well. Look for his t-shirts. That's what shows his personality!
I went to Mr. Wannamaker for advisement/tutoring. When not in class he makes himself available to students. He is a very calm personality and makes the problems clear. I don't know how he is as a teacher but he is a very nice tutor.
I love math, but his teaching style kinda left me in the dark. I would look in the textbook at night before everything "clicked". HW not graded, but in-class is. Tests are a HUGE part of the grade (lowest 1 dropped) Funny guy, interesting lectures, but if he has to repeat himself, he will snap! Graphing Calc is a must!
Here it is: Mr. W is not an easy teacher (maybe, if math is your passion). YOU EARN WHAT YOU GET IN HIS CLASS. -There are no curves... If you look up the definiton of math, you'll find his picture. Take notes & DON'T miss a day! Expresso helps! Very willing to help you understand!
Wanamaker is one of the best math teachers at CFCC. He explains things well and is always willing to help his students. He will also drop your lowest test score at the end of the semester, which is nice.
He teaches extremely fast! You must learn quickly or brush up! Tests are hard but gives one take home test. Be prepared to work!
He teaches extremely fast! Expects you to already know everything. I am basically teaching myself at home because he doesn't explain things very well. Gives you info you don't need and it only confuses you more. Tests are hard, the problems are usually the unusual cases! Nice guy but horrible class!!
He is an brilliant math teacher but it is hard to follow him because he gives you more info than you need to know and does not prepare you for what his going to be on his exams. He loves to give trick questions.
He is a very hard teacher, if math is not your thing you will not keep up. His tests are much harder than the lessons he teaches. very smart but not a good teacher
The worst I have ever had, bar none. I'm working towards teaching myself, and he is exactly what I never want to be. His tests are much harder than the homework and often entirely different, and his lesson plan moves so fast that if you are slow... you won't get it. Do yourself a favor and DON'T take his class. You can thank me later.
Do yourself a favor and take someone else. Nice guy but is a seriously bad teacher. He teaches way to fast and gives you information that you don't need ("this is beyond the scope of the class, but i'm gonna show you anyways") He just needs to retire. Don't take him, spare yourself!
Goes way to fast for you to grasp the concept. He allows a formula sheet on test, but it didn't do me any good. also his test are only 12 questions and he puts the more complex questions on the test. I failed the class and I made A's in my prep class.
I recommend to anyone not to take this teacher if you are at cfcc in lecanto. Cashman is the way to go for math. Cashman is a great professor!!!
I thought Mr.Wanamaker was a good teacher. His tests had only 10-12 questions, but they were pretty generic, so if you studied and payed attention, you will definately pass it. He keeps math simple, plus, he drops one test, and his grading system is super, you have to be really really bad at math to fail it!
He really knows statistics, but seems arrogant, easily agitated, and unapproachable. If you ask a question, he seems bothered and answers often in a smart a** way. The book was understandable and I was able to do most of the homework or in-class assignments, but the test problems differed from the book problems. Do not take this class!
Mr. Wanamaker is a very thorough teacher. He is tedious in his explanations and there aren't any surprises. Many say he is difficult, but if an honest effort is put forth he definately does not look beyond it. He strives to help students, but at the same time you must strive o help yourself as well. This is college, you must learn it yourself!
This professor dresses you down in class when you ask a question and treats you like a moron. It is totally embarrassing. The class I am taking is a prep algebra class yet he teaches like you are a physics major and acts indifferent as to whether his students pass or fail. He would be better teaching higher level math only.
Not a bad person, but doesn't relate to the average person well enough to be an effective teacher. It causes students to be very creative and to seek other resources in order to pass the class. Thank God for tutors!
Do not take this class from him if you can help it. He is not helpful in anyway and acts like he really doesn't want to see you pass. He makes you feel stupid for asking questions & doesn't explain things. BTW attendance is really mandatory yet his syllabus makes no mention of getting a zero for not attending. Believe me the zero(s) really hurt!
Class was pretty easy. The teacher sometimes over explains things, but you learn to block out the un-needed informaion. Drops lowest test score (not including last test and final exam). Teacher helps you when you ask, and never seemed to get frustated to me.
So hard! The hardest class I have ever taken. He teaches as if everything is review and not something you are learning for the first time. His tests are always several steps further than what is reviewed in class/on homework. I feel like the tests are trick questions. Plus, he is very distracting during tests by talking and passing out homework!
He is a good teacher. After being in his class you realize he is not hard at all and there is nothing to fear. As long as you put in the effort you'll get a good grade. Attendance is not mandatory but offers students to sit in on other classes if they can't make their own. He also adds 5 points to your ending average. Will def take him again!
This guy is not a good teacher unless you are already good in math. He goes way too fast and if you ask a question he makes you feel dumb.I failed the class miserably and re-took it in a summer class with Pam Weeks. She is an excellent teacher. I am terrible in math and I aced the final.
Great guy, actually helps his students out individually.
I took him over the summer and was pleased with his teaching. If you pay attention, he gives your shortcuts for solving problems. Attending class is obviously vital. During the summer he only gives 4 tests and no final. Then adds 10 additional points on your final grade. He does go at a fast pace but asks students if they understand before going on
MAT1033 - TEST OUT OF IT. IT'S ALGEBRA II AND A WASTE OF $$$. Anyway, Wanamaker's class involved of him going through examples from the book, then giving you an in class assignment of an average of 5 questions. That's it. Tests are of challenging difficulty. HW is all online, with MyMathLab [which is a good thing]. Offers help if asked for.
While his tests are pretty difficult, he is very helpful. I loved the fact that he gets super excited when you ask questions. A typical class day consists of him lecturing/teaching a section, you doing a few problems, and leaving. He will help anyone who needs it. Oh, and try not to take the mini-mester. Unless you are generally good at math.
If you can take his class in Summer B do it. Especially if you are a high schooler doing dual enrollment. For summer I had no required homework, no final, and only 3 or 4 tests. Take this class during summer if at all possible.
He's a good teacher and smart guy. But I found his class difficult. Not to say I didn't pass. I did, and I am taking my next course with him. He presents math in a different style than most math teachers. Homework is turned in online, so the book is not needed. Tests are kind of hard.
Took online, MyMathLab. Zero teaching by him. All course information is already online. Teacher never looks at your work. All grading automatic. He must hate online classes because his other reviews seem O.K. Both times I communicated with him he seemed rigid and condescending. Don't take online.
Horrible experience. He told us those of us who didn't understand either tested out of the previous class or we had been out of class so long that we didn't deserve to be in this class. Had us do work in a group and he marked my work wrong even though others in the same group got them all right. Very disappointed.
Goes way too fast with the lesson, only gives one solution to figuring out problems. Emailed him several times about my grade throughout the semester and didn't receive a response. Do not take this class unless you are already a math genius
Wanamaker is absolutely amazing. I love his class so much this semester that I have decided on taking 2 more classes with him next semester. He walks through problems and makes sure you understand the process. His tests and HW can be challenging but he provides you the steps to success. Definitely one of my favorite professors of this year so far.
He is a really bad professor and teaches too fast. He is obviously very smart and let's everyone know. His tests are very complex. What you learn in your chapters, he combines everything into one question x12. I would highly recommend to stay away from his classes. I would NEVER take another class he is teaching!
Hardest math class I have taken so far including Calc1. But that is not a bad thing. He teaches math so one actually has to think and KNOW how to use it. I was way behind in the class and he even offered to tutor me twice a week for free. I learned more in his class then I did from the three previous maths before. Made Calc1 a breeze. Take to learn
Mr. Wanamaker is one of the best teachers at CF (in my opinion)! His class is fairly easy if you understand the subject he is teaching. He is also very helpful in helping you understand if you get confused. He is a great teacher! Tests were not that difficult and the review really helps so always go to those!
Very helpful and very funny.
Prof. Wanamaker is extremely smart and is able to teach you how to solve a problem more than one way. He is more than willing to explain a problem from the online hw. The only downfall is he tends to talk a little fast sometimes and can be difficult to keep up with. Pay attention in class! Tests are hard use in class assignment for formula sheets!
This was my third course with Mr. Wanamaker. Math is NOT my subject but I really like his teaching style. There really isn't a ton of work, he allows notes on all of the tests (not the final), and he grades work, so even if you answer incorrect you will still get partial credit for showing work. He's awesome and his t-shirts are hilarious!!
Best things about Wanamaker? 1. Homework is assigned, but not graded meaning you know what to study, but don't have to waste time with busy work. (answers are in the book) 2. The first part of the class is always reserved for homework help. If anyone has questions he'll demonstrate the problem for the whole class. 3. He's humble.
An overall great teacher. Don't need to buy the book, because when you get the online code for mymathlab it is included online. Very helpful if you have questions. He has a great teaching style; he is a fast writer so try to keep up, but if you can't it's ok, he will go back and reshow you. Attend each class, write down the matter, you will pass.
I took Wanamaker for College Algebra and when people say his class is hard, they are not lying. He is a very good man and wonderful teacher. Very fast with his examples and knows his math. I never did fully understand this course as I had tutoring a lot but I managed to pass with a C+. He is a sweet heart and very willing to help (even tutor).
Professor Wanamaker's online classes are very well organized. It has very beneficial study help. Make sure to take notes from the Chapters. Also, make sure you do the Quizzes even though they aren't graded because that's what he uses for grade forgiveness on your test! It's the most helpful thing he did for my first test since it was difficult.
Wanamaker wasn't very clear when we first started the class online. No late work is allowed, even if you have emergencies. He emailed me a few times to say (not so nicely) to withdraw and better luck next time when I was completing all of the homework and was doing well in the class. Also, tests are pretty tough.
Coming from an honor student 4.0 average and excellent math student, this instructor is ridiculous. It doesn't matter how much you study, you will find yourself unready for his tests. He incorporates bonus points into his 12 question tests, that make the tests extremely stressful. Homework, and class work will not prepare you! BEWARE!
Mr. W makes himself available to help outside of class if you are unclear of something and even will take a lot of time tutoring you if he sees that you really need it. In class, he moves quickly through examples because there is a lot of material. Tests are tough but he is a generous grader. Do not need the book but I would seriously recommend it.
Mr. Wanamaker will work as long as it takes until you understand a problem. All the homework is in MML and there is no reason why you shouldn't get a 100% on them since you can take them as many times as you wish. No quizzes. Tests (4) are around 10-12 questions STUDY! And he adds 5 extra points onto your overall grade. Final is on first 3 tests.
Took him for College Algebra and barely passed, but did good in stats. Summer B, (4) tests worth 15% of grade, MML hw worth 20%, and in class assignments worth 20%. also add 5 points to final grade. MAKE SURE YOU STUDY. Tests maybe 14 questions at best, took most people a good part of an hour to do them. But if you study you'll pass.
Very solid teacher just listen to what he tells you and you'll pass. I wasn't too good at statistics but got an A. Everyone should get 100 on all the homework assignments. However the textbook assignments that he gives is what is going to be on the test. Solid explanation of problems and will always help you with any questions.
Overall the class was mostly a review of college algebra. 4 tests ( 1 of the first three are dropped) so they're worth 20% , MML hw worth 15, in class assignments worth 15, and then he adds 5 extra credit points onto your grade. Make sure you pay attention and take good notes and study those notes and you should pass with an A or B.
His online course is very organized. Quizzes are not graded but are a great study tool. Also, the study plan is a great help.
Prof. Wanamaker's online class is straight forward. Homework is graded, quizzes are used for review only and there are 3 test plus the final exam. If you fail this class it is because you wanted to. All of the tools needed for success is readily available. The videos are the most helpful. Good luck.
I took online. The class is very straightforward. HW and tests. Each test is 20% of your grade. He does review the test and gives you partial credit and really tries to make sure you pass. The deadlines are every month there is a test and hw due. Super easy class if you study. The practice tests and quizzes are the same questions on test.
Prof. Wanamaker really cares about his students success. The difficulty of the class is the usual, but help there when you need it.
Only graded on tests. Horrible teacher, no instructions. Rude
No communication!
I took this online thinking it'd be easy, what a mistake! The HW wasn't bad, but the test were very difficult. The only reason I passed with a C is b/c Prof W. gave me enough partial credit on my final exam. If you work hard, even if you bomb every single test, he will pass you. You have to deliberately try and not do any HW to fail this class.
He would show step for step how to do the problems and if you didnt understand, would try and teach you in a different way so you could understand. After having him twice he knew my name by heart and was just very friendly and cared about how well I did in the class!
Took Statistics with him and he is AWFUL!!!! Very hard grader, rude, and does not answer questions correctly.
I took his online class. He grades homework and test. The quizzes saved me, and by that I mean that they were a good study tool. Take the quizzes as many times as you need to until you pass, and that'll determine your grade on the test.
