By far the best teacher I have had at UHCL. Responds very quickly to emails and explains everything you need to know in class. It is obvious he likes his job and really cares about his students.

In his class you get a wonderful person and great information in one--now thats hard to find. He cares about his students and is a great prof to take. Do questions, study, and you will get an A. Don't do ?'s in class its very disrespectful.

Mr. Whittington is an excellent prof. He enjoys what he does. His lectures and tests are straigtforward. You study his review, you will easily make an "A". Anyone that does not do well in his class - it's their fault.

Great teacher study the study guides and there is no way to fail

You will have to attend this class because he deducts points off for absences. Don't despair he normally dismisses classes early. He is quite informative and somewhat entertaining. As far as the test go-You really couldn't ask for an easier test. Fill in the blank- matching-discussions. I recommend!

He is great! This is an easy A if you do all the questions he gives you for each chapter and memorize them. The tests and the questions in his handouts ARE THE SAME. He makes this class very interesting.

Good teacher. You will have to attend class. Grades on a very small curve. Is sure to cover all important aspects of management! Wish all my teachers were like him.

Mr. Whittington is very friendly and easy-going. He retired from NASA with lots of management experience he uses in his lectures. He enjoys the subject. He gives handouts with all the lecture notes and ALL THE EXAM QUESTIONS. The exams come straight from the handouts. You can opt out of final.

Fantastic teacher! "Candidate questions" at the end of each chapter's lecture notes (he provides) are basically the exam. Lots of work to complete test reviews, but a must to make an A. Very easy-going; must attend class; makes every effort to help students succeed. I'd definitely take him again!!

Lectures are informative. Exams include essay, fill in blank, listing, true/false. A is achievable but you must work for it. Study hard. Memorize the answers to the study questions. No pagers or cell phone in class. "No-whining" bonus points. You whine, you lose points. My favorite professor so far!

Easy class...all you have to do is memorize the questions at the end of the notes. If you want to actually learn anything about management, take someone else because all he does is read his overheads and tells stories.

Best teacher by far. Gives the possible test questions before test and all you have to do is memorize the answers. Good lectures and you are out in less than 2 hours. Highly recommend!!!

Very good teacher. His stories in class are very interesting. I really enjoyed the class. With a 95 average..you exempt the final exam. I recommend this teacher for as many MGMT classes as you can get.

He's an excellent instructor and makes his lectures interesting by relating them to real world experiences. He's a very nice man, very honest and genuine, which is hard to come by with most instructors.

He is very nice and wants all of his students to do well. Know all of the answers to the questions at the end of each chapter and you will always make an A on his exams. Take him if you can!

He's a very sweet and nice man. If you know all the answers to his candidate questions you'll make an A, and with a 95 avg. on the 1st 2 tests your exempt from the final. He's very helpful too. You can email or call him, or ask him in person any question you have and he will help you as much as he can. However,lectures are quite boring sometimes.

Attendance important--takes roll each class and gives or takes away points for absences. 95 avg on first 2 exams exempts you from the final.

Gives you the test questions, how much easier can that be. Answer them all and study them and you will make an easy A. It does require you to memorize the answers but it's worth it! MUST go to class. Very helpful. Also get out at least an early everytime.

Great professor and pretty funny. He gives you all of the test questions before the test. As long as you can memorize, you are set. If you have an average of 95, you are exempt from the final. Make sure you go to class because he counts attendance.

Maybe my favorite professor at UHCL. Teaches a relaxed class, but requires discipline in class. I find his tests sort of hard. Take him soon if you can since rumor is that he is leaving soon.

Lots to study. Great informative teacher. Relates to today's world/happenings. Attendance a must. He will give you the handout, study them for the test.

very nice guy and quite funny at times. just do the end of the chapter questions and you'll be set with this professor.

TAKE HIS CLASSES!!! It will be the best decision you can make. You can get exempt from the final and he lets you know exactly what will be on the test all you have to do is answer the questions.

Says exactly what is expected of you for the tests. If you study and go to class there will be NO problem getting an A.

Must attend class.If you fill out and study the potential test questions you should make an "A". A good sense of humor and tries to act tough sometimes but he is an extemely nice guy. Make a 95 average on first two exams and have 2 absences or less and you are exempt from the final exam.

Easy A if you go to class daily and do the end of chapter reviews. Gives Final exemption if you make a 95 or better on the 1st 2 tests. The tests are straight from the reviews.Gives bonus points for class participation and gave us an extra crdit assignment. Easy A.

I LOVE Prof. Whittington!!! We only had to go to class once-twice a month and he actually had us do eight 7-10 book reports about movies or books. It was the easiest class i ever took - although do NOT procrastinate!!!

Great Teacher. No matter what he teaches take him. Leared alot. I have had him for 3 classes. Has 3 tests exactly like the review. Plenty of chances to do well in this class but up to you to take them.

I have taken him for MGMT 3031 and currently taking him again. He's a great professor, very interesting,and laid back. Just make sure your cell phone is turn off... anyhow, do his end of the chapter study questions and you'll do fine!

Study his notes and the end of the chapter questions. He is very helpful. Attendance is important because it does impact your grade. You can get exempt from the final if you average a 95 on his first two exam, there is a catch. I love Dr. Whittington. He's a really cool teacher that knows his stuff.

Definitely recommend taking his class. Gives study questions at the end of each chapter & before exams-study these right before the exams & you'll make an easy A. Another plus: he doesn't take a break in the middle of long classes-just lectures until finished, so you get out early. Does take attendance & applies extra credit for it. Very nice prof.

got A but didnt learn a thing.he is very soft spoken and sometimes its very hard to understand what is he taking abt.so sit in the front row.

If you think you don't learn anything in this class, you are wrong. Dr. W is very knowledgeable and everything he teaches is in your best interest. I have taken him a few times and I have learned a lot from you. You have to study his master questions list that he sends out and should do fine in his class. Highly recommend this professor!

I studied his review and made a 95 on my 1st test and a 91 on my 2nd. I would have done better if I studied more. I didn't study until one day b4.

Dr. Whittington is a pretty sharp guy. sometimes his lectures get a lil foggy but no worries because his tests are almost word for word from the end of chapter reviews from the notes. Attending everyday will get you ALOT of extra bonus points towards yourFINAL GRADE. showing up + studying the review = easy A

Expects you to show up for class, follows his slides for the questions on the exams. Hard to follow at times but usually makes a point.

Great teacher! Gives you slides and review sheets for the test. Need to show up but you get extra points towards FINAL GRADE. He is a bit boring but he gives you everything you need to make an A!

Pretty boring class but he gives so much extra credit just for showing up. he gives out review packets for the exam that are almost word for word. The only downside is that each of his exams are like 90 questions long BUT theyre easy if u just do the study packet and study it

He lectures 4rm a powerpoint which he emails 2 you prior 2 class starting. It's clear but the format is a bit strange. Only print out the sections that you need 2 fill out the study guides that he gives you. If you do the study guide (don't wait til last minute; doesn't work) you WILL pass the exam. U get out early in 3hr class. TAKE THIS CLASS!

I took his evening class. He doesn't keep you the entire time except for once or twice. Great lecture. The packet IS your exam! Do it! It will reflect in your exam grade. Don't copy, DO THE WORK! I made an A.

He's a very good professor. Keeps it interesting. You really don't need a book because he provides really good notes. He gives you a question bank to study, use it and you'll ace the exams. Lots of opportunity for extra credit if you have good attendance and participate when he asks questions. Gives curves on exams. Easy A/B class. Take his class!

He made the class interesting. The exams come off the study guide. The catch is you actually have to fill it out and study it. You get to watch a few good movies that will be part of the exams. The discussion board q's are fairly easy, just explain your answer in depth. Book is not needed. A copy is in the library just in case you need it.

I took this class online and easy. I didn't take this class seriously and the first test I absolutely bomb it with a score around 40-50. There are only two tests. The second test I received a high A therefore brought my total grade to B. Helpful professor and responds quickly. Must do assigned discussions which takes about 5 mins per discussion.

a little quiet if you sit in the back of the class but his lectures and pretty informational. brings ideas in the book to life. always helpful.

Explained things thoroughly and gave very helpful test reviews. Rewarded good test grades and attendance with being exempt from final exam.

very easy class.. there is a exam review packet which is long but if you do it and study it, you'll definitely pass the class with an A... trust me i'm just a average student and I know if I could do it anybody could do it!!!

Wonderful professor! Take advantage of the test review packets he offers, the test score will be high if you do so. Also professor gives you attendance bonus points which count towards your overall grade. DONT MISS CLASS- easy class

Took in Spring 14, really enjoyed Prof Whittington. Really into the subject matter and super down to earth. Easy to understand. You must use the text for some things and make sure to study the reviews for exams, easy A. Would def recommend!!!

I took Dr. Whittington's class online during a very busy semester. He was very helpful and clear in his assignments. There is a major group project where you have to work closely with your team mates. The final and midterm are long but manageable. Dr. Whittington wants to see his students succeed! One of the best at UHCL.

He gives a decent curve. Nice guy. He expects you to be in class everyday. He gives 3 bonus points if you attend all classes. There are a lot of bonus point opportunities. Test are tough, but he gives a huge study guides that are life savers!

Took online. Would take Dr. Whittington again. Lots of reading but very doable. Only a midterm and final. Had to write a term paper on leadership but he was easy on his grading. I would choose him again.

Online class. Good feedback. Enjoyed course content. Interesting instructor.
