Makes it fun, anyone can learn the material, he makes himself very clear.

Great Teacher,
Great teacher, gets his point across (sortof rambles sometimes though). Pretty funny at times, actually has had me and the class laughing for a while. Not easy, but fair, and willing to help you. Only faults is he talks quietly, so sit in the front rows!
Good news he is now a full time teacher at SCC. Probably the best English teacher there is. If you're looking for an english teacher he's the one.
Very easy to understand, always willing to answer questions. Very clear on what is expected of students on the first day of class
Great guy. He reminds me of a Disney charcter from a Hillary Duff movie or something. He is very talkative, always easy to understand and is always helpful. Take his class, its a easy A if you do all the homework. The homework is EASY!!
Awsome teacher!!!
He is a very good teacher. Very helpful and understanding. He likes to talk a lot and is really funny. I reccomend taking his class.
He knows his stuff, really passionate.
One of my favorite teachers. He's smart, cool, talkative, knows what he's talking about, enthusiastic, has a great sense of humor, and makes people laugh from time to time. :) Lot's of respect for Mr.Harris
Great teacher. I wouldn't call his class easy but if you go to every class an A should be easy to get. One of the only teachers I have had that truly seemed to enjoy the material he was reading.
Mr. Harris is deep. I was suprised that he is so generous with his grading. Put forth effort and you will do well in his class. If you pay close attention, you can tell he's a real smart aleck.
Cool teacher.
nice guy and loves to help everyone
He is very passionate about writing, but that ends up being part of the problem when he doesn't actually teach anything and goes on these long rants about his favorite author or his old professors from college. He doesn't actually TEACH anything. I do enjoy workshopping, though.
He talks too much and never really teaches anything. If there's one thing that's hard to tolerate are teachers who assume the student should be learning on their own before coming to class, and this is how Webb behaves. He expects everybody to know everything and just rambles on and on aimlessly.
A great guy, he does tend to ramble a good amount but still, he's a great teacher to take if your interested in creative writing.
In my opinion Mr. Harris is a great teacher! A very easy class. He most of the time just tell stories and relates it to writting. I enjoyed his class very much! And I honestly hate writting!
Webb Harris is awesome. He uses personal anecdotes as analogies to writing to help his students put some passion into their writing. Those who see this as a fault just can't make the connections.
the best thing about his class is how i got so much sleep during it. other than that, you're really not missing much except for his endless ramblings on how to be oh-so great.
I made several friends in this class and we all LOVED the course! Mr. Harris treated us like professional authors AND he also bought us pizza!!!
Hot guy, but not such a good teacher. I actually did not learn much from him, but I enjoyed his stories. He's a character rather than a teacher. So, if you write some poems, short stories, and one play you can get an A in his class. Don't expect too much in-deepth because he won't deliver it.He's just a guy with charisma and cute personal stories.
Had this man for English 1 and also Creative Writing. He's a fantastic teacher.
He is a good guy.
He is a great teacher. Yes... he does ramble on about his past experiences, but they do relate to the class. There aren't a lot of reading assignments and the essays/papers we write in and out of class aren't too hard. I would definetely recommend him.
Talks way too much about himself. I know more about him than I could ever know about english! Isnt very helpful at all. I got a "d" on the first paper because he didnt explain the paper very well, so I automatically failed!
He was very nice, told lots of stories. The research paper needs to be very good though, he gave almost all of them back saying they were unsatisfactory and we needed to revise. Overall good teacher. I recommend him.
Mr. Harris is a great teacher. Also he'll let you rewrite papers over and over so don't believe stuff about people automatically failing the class because one bad score. Take the class but be ready to do the writing. I got a B but I had to rewrite alot.
the best teacher, he makes you feel very comfortable in his class, and he tells a lot of stories (sometimes hilarious), overall take him. by the way he's very nice guy.
Very good teacher. Very helpful and very nice. I recommend taking him for ENG 1101.
At the end of my first year at SCC, Mr. Harris was by far my favorite teacher. His teaching methods are always clear. Yes, he tells long stories, but personally I thought they were interesting and I was always entertained. I would take another writing/english class with him in an instant. Highly recommended.
This guy knows his stuff when it comes to English. Extremely intelligent. He actually takes time to read the papers you hand in. His class was very enjoyable.
I like the class and the proff. He had some great stories and really structured the class to the students who wanted to write. I would take him again for another writing class.
doesn't really teach you how to write creatively (by college, you either know how or you don't-in my opinion) but provides a great environment to hear what others think of your writing. he is cynical enough to hold your attention and says some witty stuff that most people seem not to pick up on.
Mr. Harris is very nice. His lectures can be a little long, but they have a point. He knows his stuff, very smart! Great at grading papers.(Because he actually reads them!) Very helpful. There are a little of quizzes, but they are not difficult ones.(All you need to do is read the books provided.) Overall, great class! I would reccomend it.
Mr. Harris is an intelligent man. He encourages those who want to be pro writers & he takes the time to read & make comments on submissions. Overall the class is informative & fun. He is an excellent professor. He helps you in learning how & where to submit your material, to get out of the slush pile & guides you if you wish to succeed as a pro.
the class is not easy, if you want a good grade or to pass the class you have you work hard. he is very funny and gives a lot of opportunity to make up essays. i would recommend him. i would take another class with him.
He is not very clear on his feedback.
Not alot of work a few essays and a research paper. Classes are long, he never stops talking, and it usually has very little to do with the class. Hardly any class or homework assignments.
He is the best teacher at SCC. You actually feel like you're getting your money's worth when you sit in his class and listen to him speak. I wish every teacher would model their class after him but unfortunately not many would be able to pull it off..
Nice teacher but I couldn't bring up my essay grades for some reason. I would fix my mistakes and it seemed like I got no-where. Not hard not easy. quizes every class.
Mr. Harris drives home the essentials of effective writing with 'parables' from everyday life. He demonstrates that being a great writer is about becoming a skilled communicator, and patiently guides his students towards this end. Homework consists of light reading, quizzes, short essays, and a 5 to 6 page research paper.
Mr. Harris was a great instructor. I went in knowing nothing, and now I am confident that I will do well in English 2.
Very good english teacher, really helped me advance my writing process, very easy course.
Great teacher, can be a little tough on you but he will make sure you pass.
Mr Harris is an extremely effective teacher. He's very clear and easy to understand when he explains writing. You have so much to gain from having him as a teacher! I feel very fortunate to have had him. Best of all, he reads every student's papers and provides feedback specific to you.
Worst teacher I have had at SCC. Would not explain himself, refers you to the textbook all the time. Loves to talk about himself, thats what all his lectures are about, him not English. Is no help with understanding the MLA, and this is a huge part of English. Don't take his class, get another teacher.
A champion of clarity. Down to earth, witty, and not ashamed to point out his inabilities. Former editor. Easy multiple choice quizzes each class. The bulk of your work will be done elsewhere. Handouts galore. This is a lecture class without the added burden of lots of notes. You will know how to write a college level essay with Mr. Harris.
Great teacher. I wouldn't call his class easy but if you go to every class an A should be easy to get. One of the only teachers I have had that truly seemed to enjoy the material he was reading.
My very first class I thought he was an ass but I ended up thoroughly enjoying the class. Took his Eng1 and Creative Writing1 classes. He encourages class discussion and gives constructive feedback.
Not a bad teacher at all. He tells a bunch of pointless stories about himself but some are actually pretty funny. Makes you write in class essays, you must get atleast a C on 2 of them or you don't pass the class. He gives you a ton of tries though. There are quizzes everyday but if you read the material they should be pretty easy.
HE WAS VERY CLEAR, FLEXIBLE, AND WORKED IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE STUDENTS.
In his English I class,he teaches you how to be a better writer,BUT he doesn't teach you any of the format that you need to know in order to do the core assignments. For instance,he'll teach you what makes a more sincere-sounding introduction, but he won't say what must be included in an introduction and how that differs from writing a conclusion.
Good easy English 1 class. You write three "core" essays in class through out the semester and must get a "C" on two of them to pass. A couple take home essays but after you get your grade he will tell you what to fix in them and allow you to turn it in again for a better grade. Tells a lot of funny stories during lectures.
By far the most entertaining and helpful professor in this department. He is very knowledgeable about writing and helpful for achieving a great writing style.
Harris is a good English teacher. He is fair with grading essays and papers. He also gives short quizzes on grammar or readings every week which are normally very easy. With these quizzes it is very easy to keep your grade up. He can be a little picky with the essays, but as long as you're thorough with your content you'll get a good grade.
This teacher was recommended to me, and I would recommend him to others - especially if you are dreading English I. Classes are interesting, you won't fall asleep, and as long as you do the work - you will pass. For a subject that is so completely boring and useless to me, he actually made it interesting, as well and entertaining on some occasions.
He is fair on tests, do the reading assignments and you will pass the tests. He gives you multiple trys on essays and lets you do revisions when necessary. Would take his class if he taught Eng 2.
Awesome teacher, he gives you everything you need to get an A+++... If you want to learn something, he's perfect for you. English might not be the most interesting topic but he's halarious at times. I never dreaded going to his class. I wish he taught ENG 2 I'd take him again!!! =] If you struggle at ENG you deffinitly should take him!
Its a monolog type of class, no student participation is hardly ever asked for. If you like to listen to stories, this is ur class. If story telling is not for you, then choose another teacher.
He is funny man and that makes the class very interesting. He will definitively make you a better writer.
MR. HARRIS BEST ENGLISH TEACHER. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS PASS GRAMMER AND READING QUIZ WHICH ARE SUPER EASY, PASS TIMED WRITING WITH C- OR BETTER, AND PASS ALL THE AT HOME EASSY AND THE RESEARCH PAPER WITH C- AND YOU WILL PASS THIS CLASS!!!....ITS A BREZZEEEE. TAKE IT
MR.HARRIS IS THE BEST TEACHER I'VE EVER HAD HE HELPS YOU SO MUCH WITH YOUR PAPERS. THERE ARE A LOT OF QUIZZES BUT THEIR NOT HARD. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS READ THE BOOK....I WOULD HAVE LOVED TO TAKE HIM FOR ENGLISH II BUT UNFORTUNATELY HE DOESN'T TEACH IT :-( BUT HE'S A GREAT TEACHER AND I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TAKING HIM FOR ENGLISH I
Awesome teacher! Funny with a great sense of humor. He tells alot of interesting stories that grabs your attention. Very important to attend his classes, esp if you want to pass. He will work with you, but do not expect alot of "atta boy" and "pats-on-the-back" from him. He is GOOD and expects maturity and civility in class.
I took him last semester for my english 1 class. I would have probably gotten an A if i would have revised for my quizzes by doing the readings. He is a good teacher and specially helpful if u go to him to ask for help!
And-duh!!!!!!
He is an excellent teacher and always has stories that pertain to his lesson. I hated ENC going into this and always had trouble with it but it is slowly becoming easy b/c of him. Don't expect him to baby you and give you pats on the back for doing a good job. If revisions on papers are possible I'd highly recommend that you do them.
He's very kind and smart. He goes by the minimum requirements for English I (research paper, timed writes, ect.). He will work with you if you are willing to put in the time.
He is a GREAT teacher. He gives you multiple chances to pass your core assignments and he has a story to go with every lesson. Hes really nice. I wish he taught English 2. I totally recommend him!!!
Teacher is great. If you want to learn, he will teach you. He is very funny and easy to follow!!!
I couldn't have asked for a better English teacher. Mr. Harris definitely gives you plenty of opportunities to get an A. I loved his detailed stories...can definitely tell he was a writer. Just do the readings and follow his instructions and you're sure to pass with flying colors.
Does explain well and grades fairly, but i do not like his sense of humor much. Not my cup of tea.
Awesome Professor. Clearly spells out his expectations and how to properly write papers, provides tons of feedback. Strict on getting homework in, but gets graded work back promptly. Lots of short easy book quizzes. Need to come to classes, but he is very interesting. Love his stories and examples. Wish he taught English 2.
Was an amazing professor. I found his class inserting and lively. he was upfront on what he expected from us which i liked. he had a great ability to make us understand in his own word what the book was trying to say. I wish i could have failed the class just to take it over with him once more :) But i got a B+
I really enjoyed this class. It was very informative especially if you're looking to get published. He offers many resources to get your name out there. The way he runs the class is also very interesting and to my understanding is run more like a University course in Higher creative writing classes.
Great Professor. Very lively and loves whathe does. You do have to read to get good grades on the quizzes, and write timed essays and papers, but is a pretty easy class notheless. Make sure you prepare yourself as much as you can for the research paper at the end of the semester.
This class was a breeze, and Professor Harris is one of my favorite teachers at SSC. He is funny, explains everything one needs to know about an assignment, and thoroughly goes through all lectures. I loved his stories and enjoyed his classes. I am definitely taking him for creative writing.
Great Professor. Actually cares about you and has such an intense passion for English. :)
He's a strict corrector. His quizzes are not about the actual writing itself, but thing such as "What was Bobs moms name?" or something crazy like that. The quizzes are 40 percent of your grade. Dont bother buying the big book if you have a friend in the class, you use it like once.
Am I ever going to learn how to write in this class?
This professor is awesome...... hes got a great sense of humor loves to share stories, this guy knows his material, the quizzes are worth 40 percent of your grade and their EASY as hell, just got to read the chapter(s) and you'll ace it, the essays and research paper are tough in my opinion but I'd gladly take another course with this professor!
Very fair and easy quizzes. Research centered papers and take homes are simple. Overall good professor
It is impossible to know how this professor wants you to write the essays. It does not matter how you write, he seems not to b happy with it. Attendance is mandatory, which I had no problem with.Any previous knowledge in writting won't help with this instructor.
I absolutely love Webb Harris, caring, helpful, funny, and AMAZING! I had a tough summer term but through his help and guidance I made it through. Get good grades on your quizzes and your chance of a A or B is quite likely. Dont worry about the writtings you are given many chances to improve=)) Love, love, love him!
I am so glad that I had professor Harris for English I. He is hilarious and makes the class fun with his stories. He gives you a chance to revise all big papers you turn in. Attendance is pretty mandatory since he gives short 5-10 question quizzes most classes but they are very easy. Great class, wish he taught English II!
The books are mandatory, have a quiz just about everyday from the readings. Gives you chances to revise papers and make up an assignment if it is unsatisfactory. Really good story teller. Lectures A LOT, be ready to fall asleep most days. Easy to get a 'B'. hard to get and 'A'.
Prof. Harris is one of the best English teacher I've ever had. 3 take home papers, 5 timed essays (only need to pass 2), and reading quizzes almost everyday (which are very easy). I recommend this class to students who struggle in English courses. You will learn how to become a better writer and enjoy his crazy but funny stories
Very patiint and helpful profesoor. I reccomend taking his class if you struggle with writing because he he goes slowly through lectures and is very helpful. If you are already a strong writer you may want to consider a different professor or you will be bored out of your mind.
Not a bad professor. He gives you chances to rewrite your essays for a higher grade. Quizes every day but they are very easy if you do the reading. Attend every class and you will be able to pull off at least a B. Over all good professor.
As a first time, non-traditional student, I could not have asked for a better teacher. Very good first experience. The ONLY time I ever liked a Steelers fan. Thank You Mr. Harris! TB all the way!!!
There should be more English professors like Mr. Harris. He is very clear about what he expects of you with your work and attendance. He explains every concept very well, and even the research paper wasn't too hard because of his helpful advice. He is HILARIOUS as well! If you're about to take English I, take it with Mr. Harris!
Let's be fair, amazing instructor, hard though. I won't take off his credit for being a good teacher, although he is NOT an essay A, it definitively has to be earn. If you want to become a writer, then his the RIGHT person to go to. I like his lectures and there are always Quizzes for every single class...then always READ!
He is a good but hard teacher. You do the readings before class and get good grades on the quizes... That part is easy. Make sure your research paper is 5 pages or else he won't give you credit
he is a great teacher. However, you have to read the books before class because there is always quizzes. but besides that , he is a great teacher.
I had never liked an English class before until I took this one. He is a very good professor and a great guy too. I'm a relatively strong writer so the class was never too difficult and his feedback on my writing was always clear and straight forward. The ability to make revisions and submit them again for a higher grade is extremely helpful.
He is a perfectionist and hard to please. There is ALWAYS a quiz for every class.Be always Prepare!
funny that a English teacher who is supposed to teach you the proper way, uses the F word in the class. very unpleasant and difficult person and he lookes like he wants to start some kind of conflict with you. this is what he said in the class too: if you do not like it take some one else's class.
Funny dude! Uses humor to gain students attention. Class is easy as long as you follow directions and read to prepare for the quizes. Not hard but some people seem to make it difficult. Attendance is pretty much mandatory. Cant miss those quizes.
He's an excellent teacher. I finished the course a better writer than when I began the course. He helped me understand things about writing I never understood before. That's what I wanted from an English teacher. If you want something else (an easy A, an ego-stroker), he's not your guy.
Awesome teacher. You MUST do his readings (short stories & poems)There is quiz on the material EVERY class. They are EASY if you do the reading. Great personality but doesn't take any bull. Wants you to succeed and is so very helpful. Lets you resubmit your essays & research paper after it is graded. I would definitely take this instructor again.
Timed essays are graded very strictly. Use caution with details.
Hilarious teacher, really helped me to become a better writer. There's a quiz after every reading, usually 5 easy questions. He loves to talk about his life so time will fly by. He gives the least amount of essays required for the course. Easy A
Handout poems & short stories are interesting-small quiz the next class just to see if you read them (no mind boggling hard questions). Good workshops done on a rotation. You can submit fictionnon-fiction (1500-5000 words) or poems (3 pages) for workshops. Has useful information & insights on writing & getting published. Works with you.
This professor is top notch, in my opinion. He lectures non-stop, but he's humorous, so I didn't mind. He really wants people to succeed in writing, and he'll let you know with each paper what you need to work on. I'm a pretty strong writer to begin with, but I feel like he made me better and more prepared for research papers in the future. :)
Professor Harris is one of the best instructors I've ever had. His goal is to help his students become better writers. Everything I've learned in Professor Harris English classes has helped me throughout my entire college and professional career.
He grades tough on the timed in class essays but is more lenient on the take home papers. READING IS MANDATORY TO PASSING!!! However, pretty much all we do during class is listen to him talk about life experiences. The only time we actually do something is when we do a timed essay (only 4 during semester)
Lectures consisted of life stories rather than English, which by the way was what I was paying for. He was not helpful, he was condescending, and begins the term on the assumption that everyones going to fail. The class was not difficult but he has no intention of passing most students.
Professor Harris was great. I took him for the summer 2015 B session. Lots of reading, quizzes at the beginning of each class on the readings. Timed essays on topics of his choice you get to pick 13. Easy going but talks a lot..
Personally, I liked Mr. Harris. The class felt like it went on forever and he likes to talk about random stuff, but will eventually tie his story into the lesson. Very nice guy but does not tolerate phones, or excessive talking.
I'm not a fan of English but he made me enjoy and look forward to coming to class. He does do quizzes on every reading that is assigned, but there are only 4-5 easy questions if you read. Tough grading on timed-essays, more lenient with take home paper. Makes lectures interesting, overall a great teacher, definitely would take him again.
His lectures felt like they went on forever. I felt like he talked about random stuff, he eventually ties it into the lesson but it takes him forever to do it. Most of the of class he talks about his life rather than english, which doesn't really help you. He wasn't very helpful when it came to essays, it's almost as if you have to beg for help.
Dr. Harris is a pleasure to be around. He picks great reading assignments and gives honest, helpful feedback. Would definitely take his class again.
Not an easy A, but a pretty easy B. I'm a lifetime C student in English but got a B in Harris' class. If you need help with something, let him know. He's pretty down to earth. Lectures alot but makes some incredibly intresting points.
He made class a nightmare and could never keep on subject for more than a minute. He tells his students they will never write well enough to impress him, and he grades based on his opinion of the matter.
Great Professor, really knows what he's talking about. He tends to go off on tangents and tell lengthy stories that can take up the whole class period. But theres always a good lesson in there if you really pay attention. If you are serious about being a successful writer, take him! and ask tons of questions.
Prof Harris was a nice teacher all around. There was a bit of reading from the anthologies he assigned, but the quizzes he gives are small and are just to check if you read. I missed maybe 70% of class and most of the assignments and still managed to get a B. How, I'm not sure.
Harris is a really nice guy, but I didn't really appreciate him as a professor. He got off topic easily, and would tell stories that eventually had a point but it took him at least 30 minutes to get to it. I would find myself exchanging glances with my other classmates a lot in annoyance. I love writing, but didn't enjoy the class like I had hoped.
His class was so easy! Just read what he assigns, take the mini quizzes (4-5 questions) and don't plagiarize your essays.
Amazing teacher, I always fall asleep during lectures but he sure kept me awake. Whether it was a hilarious story or him randomly yelling it kept me awake. I look forward to coming to his class every day. His quizzes are very easy if you read. Took him for both English 1 and 2, I will miss him! Lots of extra credit opportunities!
Proffessor harris was my first english teacher in college and im more than happy i picked him he is a very good teacher.
Took quizzes everyday in class heavy reading every night before class. Strict rules and manditory attendence
If you actually listen to the guy he's a great teacher. Stay off the phone and give him your attention and he'll learn you real good.
Prof Haris is great! Not my favorite prpf ever but taught cre wri very well. Hoping to take cre wri 2 in fall
If I have to take another English Class .. Mr. Webb Harris is the one Professor worth having in class! It was a pleasure being in class with such a great creative Professor! He really kept all the information interesting and engaged the classroom.
He gives quizzes on assigned readings which shouldn't be an issue. If you want to be a good writer you have to read. Take advantage of his knowledge. He is infinitely better than any writing professor you will get at UCF.
He gives a reading quiz at the beginning of every class period but theyre short and easy. For writing assignments he assigns the minimum that is required for him to assign which is nice. Hes fun and keeps the class interesting. I enjoyed the class very much and I am taking him again for English 2.
english used to be my favorite subject but professor harris made it hard to come to class. he has long lectures that are hard to stay focused into and quizzes every class. he is a very tough grader for assignments you would be proud turning in and he had little no lenience for absenses even if you have a doctors note or are sick. i dont recommend.
WONDERFUL TEACHER. He cares about your grade as-long as you care about yours. He gives a lot of lectures, but he's funny. He grades well and gives helpful feedback, and gives you a lot of opportunities to raise your grade if necessary. He's willing to help and he gives you a full rundown on what we're doing each day of the semester which is awesome
at first i didnt know if id pass this class, but by the end i definitely got use to his teaching and grading style. great feedback and is always willing to help you. as long as you try and improve on the essays and make sure you read your stories in the book and youll be good!
Amazing, alot of reading quizes but if you just barely read you will get them, teaching methods so engaging and very good at what he does, he was very considerate about the corona thing and laid back alot of work overall best English teacher at ssc
Webb is a fantastic professor. His comments are thought provoking and his feedback insightful. He's one of my favorites and I would gladly take another class with him.
He was very unorganized and did not know how to use canvas very well. Difficult schedule because quizzes open at 8am and close midnight the same day. Make sure you read the stories because the quizzes asks specific questions )as long as you read you should get 100% on the quizzes). There are 2 stories to read, 2 quizzes, and 1 essay each week.
Overall just a really nice person. He understands the subject material and knows how to explain it. Just had to do two 5 question quizzes per week and then 4 essays throughout the semester and a research paper at the end of the semester.
One of the best teachers I've ever had. He's tough on essays for the right reasons. He's reserved, but still wise, funny, and sweet sometimes. The books he recommends are eye-opening (They Say, I Say), and he thinks about his students (brought cookies at the end of semester). In-class essays are hard for slow writers, but he's a great mentor.
This was my first class and I'm glad it was. Prof Harris cares a lot about his students and really does want you to pass. While he is learning how to teach online he grades fast and is pretty fair. There will be reading each week with a 4/5 question quiz, 5 essays (3 highest grades), a lab, and a research paper. Pretty easy if you do your work.
I had him online so maybe its different in person but he completely wastes your time in the lectures, absolutely horrible at grading assignments in a timely manner, he will assign an essay then after he's graded he'll tell you want he wanted in it instead of making a rubric before hand. Most English classes suck but I would look for a diff teacher
Great prof! Very insightful and knowledgeable. Quiz and lecture every week. English 2 Lab. Research Paper. 4 Literary Analysis Essays (top 3 scores are averaged for final grade)
Professor Harris is an amazing English professor. I had him for both ENC 1101 and 1102. Taking him online was super easy. His audio lectures are really insightful and fun to listen to. He grades essays pretty fairly. As long as you follow his critiques you will become a better writer. Overall great!
One of the best professors I've ever had. The guy records lectures for each class each time, not recycled old content. He actually reads the literature and gets into it; he cares and it shows. Grading is crystal clear. Writing is hard, but just do your best. The cycle was readings, audio lecture, then a short quiz, plus up to four essays total.
As long as you listen to his online lectures, you will pass his class with an A. He does a few quizzes and essays, but he is clear with what he wants the papers to look like. I found myself enjoying his lectures and seems like a great guy overall, I cannot recommend enough!
You have to listen to a 2 hour lecture a week and answer a few questions on a quiz about it. Its not that bad but it is time consuming. He is a good professor. I would take him again.
easiest class everrr and wonderful teacher
He'll give out like one essay after class you have to read then you take a 5 question quiz on it the next class. So easy. He is so real. He explains all the 'whys' and makes sense. You can tell he is passionate about what he does. He just knows stuff. Supper fun to talk to, so chill. Interesting dude all around.
I've taken two classes online with Professor Harris and his assignments have allowed me to create some works that I'm very proud of. The reading material chosen is also very interesting and inspires me. Work is very easy so long as you do all of the reading and listen to the lectures.
Lots of pop quizzes from the readings, they're very easy, amount of questions are usually between 4-5. He talks a lot which can be the downside, but he's a nice professor overall. Just read the material, you can skim it usually, and take the quiz. About 3 essays were done overall in my case.
Professor Harris runs a straightforward class with frequent reading quizzes, a few essays, and a research paper. While not the easiest, his feedback is helpful, and he's passionate about the material. Unstuck ai was a great study tool alongside the textbook.
Wonderful guy, fun discussions, and only 3 essays, none of which require any research. Highly recommend, very sad I wasn't able to get him again for ENC1102.
sometimes lectures felt a little pointless. i went every day mainly cus participation is part of the grade and if we had a reading assigned he'd do a small pop quiz to make sure we all read it, but sometimes lectures were just kinda off topic. he is funny and relatively laidback tho. i would't say hes a bad professor at all, relatively easy class
Professor Harris assigned modern readings that were very interesting and engaging. There we three essays, with two being personal narratives. He was a lenient grader and gave great audio feedback. Half of his lectures felt pointless, but his humor and personality made up for it.
