I think she's great! I am taking her class and she is so well prepared and knowledgable! She really cares whether we understand the material or not&she even hands out anonymous slips so we can anonymously let her know if we want her to go over anything next class. Decently hard quizzes but she's just trying to prep for the final. I would Recommend

Weissy is a great teacher and was very helpful. The class material was easy to understand, and the weekly quiz was cake. I do find that the class was too easy and I felt like I was not challenged enough. However it has probably something to do with the course manual displaying all the answers along with the materials needed to study.

Weissy was a great teacher. Her ppts were easy to follow & if you did not understand what she taught, she would answer all questions and try her best to help you get it. She uses great examples and is quite an encouraging person. As long as you try, you'll succeed.

Her notes were easy to follow. There is a lot to memorize however if you spend the time studying you can get a B. She is really nice, helpful, and easy to understand. I defiantly recommend her.

I've taken a few biology classes at Douglas and she is by far the best at explaining the content thoroughly. Probably your best bet at passing Bio 12. Attendance is mandatory. Pay attention and you'll coast through.

honestly the best bio prof at Douglas. she makes dry 830am lectures super interesting. Her weekly quizzes are manageable because questions come directly from her slide. No need to crack open the textbook because everything you'll need to know is on her slides. Clearly explains concepts and prepares you for the finals and midterm. Highly recommend!

Favourite teacher by far! She made 1103 so much easier for me. She posts the slides online and all of her quizzes are based on them (unless she asks you to do extra textbook reading.) Biology 1203 needs a bit more textbook use, but again Weissy makes it totally bearable. So glad I was able to get in her class. I recommend her classes to everyone!

Great to talk too. She will help you understand the material if you don't understand it. Must attent each class for everything in lecture is on the weekly quiz but she drops your worst mark.

Mrs. Lee is by far one of the best teachers I've ever had. My classmates explain her as an "Angel" because she's that good of a teacher. I have taken 4 other bio courses (intro bio 1 and 2, bio 1103& 1203) prior to hers, and hers is the best. This isn't a super easy course, study her notes and PowerPoints, and you will get an A.

Incredibly cute and adorable teacher that tries her best to make class fun and exciting. She makes awkward jokes at times, but all is forgiven. Simply love her, her helpfulness and shes very kind. Though there are days she does seem stressed and a bit unfriendly.

1203 is a challenging course, that being said the field of Biology itself is, if you are willing to put in the effort and time to do well, you will. If you prepare yourself well for the weekly quizzes you will do well in the course, at the final exam, and have a good understanding of what you are learning. Would highly recommend this prof.

She is the best professors I have ever had hands down! she explains EVERYTHING to A-Z without being boring. detailed slides, videos and jots down step by step notes. She cares about her students and it definitely shows. Don't miss her class specially around the beginning of the course, she takes attendance seriously and will remember you by name.

Weissy is an amazing professor! I had her for microbiology and it was hands down my favorite class of all time. She's always ready to help and clarify any questions. She's so enthusiastic about the material and that makes it so much more fun & easier to learn. It's far from an easy class but if you put in the work, you'll end up with good results

I'm currently in her class and I very much enjoy studying for it :) First she was teaching like we're in middle school but it actually helps and makes us understand better. I highly recommend her class, she is always enthusiastic and ready to teach. Not very long lecture (better than all my other bio classes..), and lots of activities.

Weissy is a VERY helpful professor. She is always giving constructive feedback and is always there to help you improve. She is VERY straight to the point and CRYSTAL clear on all topics. If you don't understand something, she'll be there to clarify the concept. Expect tough quizzes. Midterm and final aren't much different if you put in the effort.

Best teacher yet! Very organized, clear, with a dry sense of humor (which was very appropriate for an 8:30am class). She's punctual and always stays at the end of class. She makes lecture slides available well in advance! Her midterm was harder than the final, in-class quizzes were moderately difficult. She's prompt to reply to emails. Overall A!!

Weissy is a great professor. Very organized and helpful. I found that she wasn't very versed in the subject but tried to be as helpful as possible. The mark is broken down into a a lot of elements (online quizzed, lab, lab report, in class quizzes, project, and tests). Make sure you do all of them and don't cheat, shes very big of academic honesty.

Weissy is exceptionally organized and really knows how to teach well. By that I mean that she presents the material in a way that makes it easy to stick in the brain (diagrams, tables, analogies etc). She places an emphasis on engaging the class which helps keep you focused on the lecture.

Amazing prof. Her lectures are exceptionally clear and well informed. I took microbiology, and the course itself is difficult, but she makes it easy to understand and follow. If you like diagrams and tables, you will like her lectures. Very friendly and approachable. She also makes some corny jokes that you may or may find funny. She's also cute.

Weissy is awesome. Lectures are clear, quizzes are very straight forward. Midterm is slightly more difficult than the quizzes but still easy. Group project due at the end of the semester, which is a presentation. Take micro with her if you can!

Weissy is very keen on attendance and academic honesty, when it came to one lab report there were multiple students who plagiarized and she reported them to the Dean. I do not like her 50% lecture attendance or you don't pass, but her quizzes and midterm are fairly easy. However, the final exam was quite difficult.

Weissy was amazing during the lecture always on time and always clear and organized. I did feel like she had biased opinion towards some people which seemed to have affected them and their grade. Personality she didn't have anything against me but was quite unfair to one of my friend.. be aware. Overall she made the class feel REALLY easy.

Weissy was nice, but her style in teaching wasn't for me. She doesn't do proper lectures. You're supposed to read the openstax text and then she goes over multiple choice questions about the text in class. She did simplify some processes which helped. She does paired projects where you have to present in front of the class which wasn't great.

She is a really great teacher! Her notes are clear and super visual. She does a lot of diagrams that make the material clear and concise. And, Weissy makes it super clear what material in the unit you need to remember the most. You will hardly use the Openstax text to study her weekly quizzes, just memorize the notes she gives you.

Weissy is a cool prof. She makes it extremely easy to get an A. Her lectures go by kind of slow, but at least you're constantly drawing diagrams and filling stuff in. I wish she made the lab reports worth more-- some of them take a long time to complete for only a small percentage of your overall grade. Gives out assignments for bonus marks on quiz

Weissy is a gem. Her lectures are fantastic for someone who is a visual, hands-on learner. She is very clear with what she expects of you for her assignments and tests; she answers your emails very efficiently; her lectures are slow-paced but it is kinda nice because you absorb it better and the quizzes have a manageable amount of info on them.

Weissy is a good professor with excellent teaching methods and skills. Her class was fairly straight forward and and all the quizes and tests were solely based on class lectures. that being said there are many in class lecture notes but they are very straight forward and not at all complicated. Weissy L. is solid choice for microbiology.

Weissy is probably the most accessible professor I've ever had, but I didn't like her class. I didn't so much mind her lectures, but they didn't prepare you well enough when it came to application of knowledge for the course material. And you had to do a group presentation for a class project and got marked for creativity. This isn't Fine Arts!

Weissy is a really nice and caring teacher. Her exams are a bit tricky and involve some application. She gives lots of bonus marks and opportunities to improve. Her project portion was kinda useless but its better than another exam. 90% would recommend!

Weissy is my favourite professor, and I'd love to have her for all my classes! She'll give out stickers if you do well on quizzes (which motivated me) and teaches interactively to facilitate understanding of the topics. For example, drawing out biological processes to better understand them. She genuinely cares and loves what she teaches!

Took it online, videos and lectures easy to follow. Quizzes and Exams are fair game. Exams are 3 parts: max, fill in blank and short answer which is available for 24 hours. Tutorials are helpful! Really nice prof, gives out bonus marks and is fair. Need to study like it would be in class exams and be on top of it. labs are long but overall not bad

Weissy is nice/organized. She cares about student's success/mental health. Labs are straightforward. Her exam reviews/ tutorials are good. Her lecture vids are too simple/ she talks too fast. You must spend hours analyzing the textbook for a good grade. Unit 9 is the last/hardest, make lots of time for it! Lab exam is easy but not the lecture exams

I took microbiology class with Weissy last Winter semester. She is very straightforward and weekly quizzes could be difficult if you don't study. She also does provide bonus marks! Take her if you can! If you learn her styles of what she's looking for answers during exams/ quizzes you'll definitely do well on her class.

Dr. Lee is a great prof to take! She is super helpful and responds quickly to emails. Her lectures are also very easy to follow as she structures them into fill-in-the-blank notes rather than slides. The notes have exactly the same things that are on her quizzes/exams. Overall, she is a very good professor and I would definitely take her again!

Nothing negative to say about Dr.Weissy. I wish I could have her as my professor for all classes. Weissy will reply to emails within minutes (if you email at a reasonable time) She's so helpful during her office hours; also uses a lot of analogies to help relate topics. Notes are amazing and easy to follow. TAKE HER CLASSES!

Good prof. Can tell shes intelligent and knows the material well. Can be a little naggy during lab but oh well. Reccommend

Tests are based on material in the lecture notes, she posts them online in case you miss a class. She marks faster than any other professor or TA with clear grading criteria added to each problem set/quiz and gives bonus marks. Biochemistry is a dense course but she gives you lots of practice to get good at it.

She's accessible, quite easy going, and has good lecture notes. Very organized, probably the most organized prof. Would recommend :)

This course has lots of material to cover that can be complex. Lectures can be tedious but worth attending. Bonus marks available for assignments. Put in the work and you'll be successful in her class.

Weissey is very organized and good. Will reply emails asap and genuinely wants to do students to good also I like how she does her lecture notes. Only down fall about this course is the lab is stressful. if you study her notes you'll be do good in the course though.

Weissy was incredible and really tried to make the class feel fun. Her marking was completely fair and she ensured we knew what could be on the final. The labs were very fun and have been the most interesting among the Nursing bio prereqs. I recommend her!

If you need to take Microbiology this is the professor you want. She is so organized, her notes are very straight to the point covering exactly what you are expected to know for exams and quizzes. She really knows her stuff and is able to really explain it simply for the student so we know exactly what is required for the exam. Highly recommend her

Awesome prof-makes course material easy to understand, clear grading criteria, & zero surprises on exams. Super organized. There are lots of assignments, but if you attend lecture it is very straight forward. What gets covered in class will 100% be on tests/exams-so memorization heavy but Weissy makes content management. 10/10 would recommend !
