Mr. Fishman is a great teacher! Although I took his online class, he was very helpful and I learned quite a lot. He gives easy grades and does not require a textbook although we can use the one that is most useful to us.

I had him a year ago for CISC 305 (online class) and he made it so much fun for me. The course was called "Introduction To The Internet." Although I already knew how to use to the Internet, I learned a lot of things that I did not know about it. Prof. Fishman is a very cool and intellegent person, and I highly recommend him!

Mr. Fishman is a good teacher and makes the assignments crystal clear. Textbooks are not required because he goes over the material flawlessly. Take this class if you want to learn the easy way. Take someone else if you done!

Professor Fishman is great. But you will do fine in the class if you read the PowerPoint presentations and study the handouts. Although, attendance is not mandatory, it's 10% of your grade.

I took the online class this Summer (2008) and I really enjoyed it. Prof. Fishman is very good about responding to emails in a timely fashion. I already have some experience with HTML, and even then I found this class a little difficult, and I ended up having to buy the book anyway. Overall, it was an awesome class!!

Awesome class! Prof. Fishman is very helpful and will answer questions to the best of his ability. The course begins to get more difficult as the semester progresses, so be sure to read and study the book well. Part of the final grade is creating a website based on an actual business.

Prof.Fishman's powerpoints and handouts(all downloadable)made it very hard to fail. I never looked at, or owned the textbook.Recommend some knowledge of how html files work, and how to create and distinquish between graphic formats. Relative course projects. Should feel fairly accomplished at close of semester. I really enjoyed the class. (age 53)

He is a great teacher, Responds to email when you need help very fast. Clear and to the point Lessons. great PowerPoints. Some Hands on assignments are hard, but reinforce the topic. Fast turn around on test grades. He has awesome time management skills.

Wendell Fishman is a very dificult teacher! He will take of points from your assignments for very unexpected reasons that may not even be stated on assignment handouts. BE CAREFUL! I would suggest choosing another teacher before him.

Professor Fishman is probably one of the best teachers I've had. He does not require a textbook, he's friendly and approachable and is always willing to help. Professor Fishman's online course for presentation graphics was great. everything was clear from the lessons. I never had to refer to the textbook.

I really enjoyed taking class. Prof Fishman id easy to understand, helpful, on on top of things. The HW assns migh be a little challenging for beginners but you will def learn alot from it. I bought the textbook but RARELY looked at it. He provides powerpoints which gives you all the info you need. I would def take him again.

Professor Fishman is awesome! He is very clear during lectures and the powerpoints explain everything in steps. Textbook is not required. I have taken 3 of his web courses and will continue if i'm able to.

Very nice, friendly teacher but very easy class. Lectures are short and sweet. He lets us go home early or have lab time. Not helpful when asking for help via email since he expects you to read the notes on D2L. He always schedules the hwk due date to 2-3 weeks after he assigns it which is very generous, he's a very quick grader, too. Recommended

Excellent teacher of an interesting subject. Keeps you entertained and provides plenty of examples and resources. I took the same class at another college and the teaching style was much different. I ended up dropping the class because the information delivery was less than par. So with that said, I highly recommend fishman!

Straight forward: 6 Assignments, 1 Quiz & 1 Final. Gives you a sample final to study from. All assignments really help to enforce lessons learned from powerpoint. Book is not mandatory for the class, but is helpful. Emails back promptly. Great class!

Absolutely awesome professor. He is easy to understand and very straight forward. He will help you if you ask. His online classes all tend to consist of 5-6 assignments, 1 quiz, and an on campus final. His webpage design class is a lot of fun and gives you an introduction into writing HTML and XHTML. Recommend for anyone in the Computer Sciences.

His lectures are only thirty to forty minutes long, and the rest of the class is for use. He explains things with power point slides, and he's very clear and detailed with how things are done and whatnot. But, the final was super hard because practically 97% of it weren't even related to the lectures at all.

Great professor! I think he is one of the best professor at CRC. He really cares about students learning the material. If you have a question, you can just show up at his office hours and he will help you with the assignment. Also, he grades the assignments very fast. I will definite recommend taking his class.

I have had Mr. Fishman in several classes. He has a great sense of humor, but is also disciplined in his time management of the class. He gives you enough assistance with the code to understand the material yet leaves enough of the explanation out to challenge you to finish the assignment. This is how a coding class should be taught in my book.

I have taken a lot of online classes, and Professor Fishman's stand out as being the easiest to follow. His presentations and materials make very technical subject material surprisingly simple to understand, and he is quick to respond to email questions (important in an online class). If only he taught math classes too...

This class is a lecture/online combination, and I have enjoyed it very much. Professor Fishman has developed a structure that is easy to understand and follow: regular in-class lectures with examples, followed by lab time. Assignments are directly related to in-class content, but additional research on your own time is necessary for mastery.

This was an enjoyable class, but required work. Test were challenging. The professor is knowledgeable and helpful, but steps back to let you learn by doing. Very generous grader.

This class covers many aspect of the Web Development History and the coding techniques. I really enjoy Professor Fishman's teaching style and he is really care about his students. A great Professor.

This class covers the history of client-side scripting and focus on JavaScript. Class presentations are really good. It contains a lot of real-life samples and student can use it to complete their program assignments. At the same time, Professor Fishman encourages you to think outside of box and provides assistance when it is needed.

This class is about Middleware Web Scripting focuses on PHP. I learn embedded server commands, control structures, functions, arrays, cookie, email applications, and database-driven web application. You are not boxed into how you design your program and you can be really creative. I recommend taking SQL Into. Class at the same time.

Professor Fishman provides course content in a clear and concise manner. He lets you focus on learning how to code most of the time instead of bogging you down with heavy reading and excess homework. I've taken Prof Fishman online for most of my CISW curriculum and his courses have always been good. You get substantive assignments and plenty of guidance on how to correctly build them. Do the work, know the material, particularly his lecture material provided online, and you should be fine.

One of the things I appreciated most about Professor Fishman was the provision of real examples of how to complete the assignments. Being that this was an advanced JavaScript class, that was extremely helpful. Professor Fishman is also very approachable and wants students to do well. Advice for success: read/study the modules. The class consists of 7 or 8 projects, a midterm, a quiz, and a final. The projects are fun and a challenging at times. He is a fairly easy grader in regards to the projects, which are worth the majority of your grade. The test are more difficult though. He also provides plenty of extra credit assignment. Overall, fun class and a great professor.

Professor Fishman is a knowledgeable and compassionate instructor who recognizes the abilities and limitations of each of his students and adjusts his teaching approach to assist each student. He has an engaging personality and inspires students to learn by creating an atmosphere of encouragement, motivation, and support.

Professor Fishman has a clear grading criteria you must meet. Follow the requirements needed and you'll pass with a flying A. I would give him a difficulty level of 0 if I could. Assignments are straight forward and easy. He also gives extra credit which you should not take advantage of. His final was very easy as well. I received an A+ in class.

Professor Fishman is my best Professor at CRC! He is very clear and organized in his lectures. He explain everything by powerpoint so we don't need to buy textbook. Professor Wendell is a great person, he will always respond to your questions. Make sure to finish your assignments and get an easy A grade.

I received A's in several classes from Professor Fishman: CISC 306, CISW300, CISW400 (Javascript), and CISW 410 (PHP). The final grade is composted of mainly assignments (w/clear grading criteria), and midterm/final(study!!). He is quick to respond to requests for help, but assignments require time and effort, so DO NOT wait till the last minute.

Professor Wendell is the G.O.A.T. CISC 305 was the easiest A I got. He always responded to me when I needed help with an assignment. He responded pretty quickly too; sometimes on the same day. He always outlined the assignment well and offered hints in the Help Presentation for the assignment. Also, he always offered extra credit.

Professor Wendell made CISW 308 awesome. He always outlined the assignment clearly and offered help if we got stuck. Learned a lot of new things in CSS.

This class with professor Fishman was amazing. We had a few hiccups with assignments (some material was outdated, and some links were broken, but he was quick to admit it and quickly fix it/offered alternative assignments). Overall really easygoing Professor. Offered extra credit like candy, which was awesome, and responded when I emailed.

Taking him for html and css was a breeze. Clear grading criteria, good feedback, caring and understanding, Accessible outside class.

Overall and enjoyable class and I learned a lot about web designing. Very detailed PowerPoints and also helpful notes. Only downside is that grading it different. You have to make sure you are keeping track of what you have submitted and check to see if it has been graded and updated into canvas. Quizes have a short time with lots of info to input.

Prof Fishman is great. He's caring and takes the time to communicate with his students when reached out to. When I had a bit of a hiccup and issue partway through the semester, Professor Fishman was empathetic and did not hesitate to help. He offers several opportunities for extra credit, assignments are clear w/ examples of the assignments. 10/10.

Mr. Fishman is an amazing teacher I would 100% take a class from him again. The class was a little difficult but honestly what STEM or specifically coding class isn't? No matter what I needed help with he was always an email way! He never shamed me when I needed help the day the assignment was due or if my code was extremely bad. He is so caring!
