Wendell is a new professor to UH West Oahu. I took a chance by signing up for a class with a professor that was new, but Im glad I did. Wendell has been a great professor and is really easy to talk to. His tests arent difficult if you go to class and do the homework. I would reccommend Wendells classes! Ill be taking his ACC202 class next year

We're halfway through the semester and so far the learning experience with Wendell Lee has been great. You are not required to read the text because Wendell's lectures really help so I recommend attending class as much as possible. He answers your all your questions and even better, applies them to real life so you can understand the concepts more.

Professor LEE is amazing! He has worked/managed/created a company in the accounting field so he is extremely knowledgeable. During lectures he'll circle back to how this works in the field and which methods accountants are currently using, he'll also throw in a very interesting story from his personal experience. Take him you will not regret it!

Professor Lee is a professional with an impeccable resume and work history. Professor Lee's professional skills and abilities transfer to the classroom. His teaching style is easy to follow and his life experiences and knowledge of accounting are evident in the classroom. I very much enjoy learning from Professor Lee.

Professor Lee is not only passionate about his line of work but about students' success too. He is willing to meet with you to get whatever extra help you need. He keeps the course straightforward and simplifies lectures with practicing problems. I love it because I learn by practice. I recommend him to everyone - accounting major or not!

Inspirational. Prof Wendell Lee is theee best! He turns the mountain into an ant hill. His stories are hilarious and he has so much experience it's crazy. I learned a lot about accounting, business, and life in just one class.

This class isn't easy to just pass, you must definitely work for your grade, which is understandable really. But to get a good grade, just keep up with all the homework's, exams, and definitely go to class. His class is not boring, the lectures are actually enjoyable to learn about.

Great lecturer that cares about the content but also the students. He tries to make class enjoyable to be in and not dreary. As a student, you must attend class all the time, do homework assignments, and take your time on exams. I would definitely take a class from him again.

Lee is a great teacher! If you tell him you don't follow what he's trying to say, he will go back and reword it to help you better understand. He cares about his students, and makes sure they understand the material.

Wendell is very good when it comes to helping students. He is very patient and is always more than willing to explain problems if questions are asked. Although, he may get side tracked, you always learn something from his stories. He gives more than enough chances to get full credit on homeworks. A plus is he tells you only what is needed to know.

Wendell is a really good accounting professor because he uses a lot of real life experiences to describe certain scenarios in the accounting world. He is very patient and makes sure we are prepared for the exam. Take him if you need that accounting credit.

Wendell helps students understand the concept if they don't understand. He is very clear with what he grades with.

Explains content really well. Goes into depth but also makes sure everyone understands before moving on.

Wendell is as patient teacher that goes over any item that you may need help in class. He is also a very respectful teacher and emphasis ethics which is important. He may get sidetracked but he has some interesting tidbits about life and his success. I like WileyPus but I wish the assignments would be due at 12 o clock instead of 11.

He is very open and willing to help those who take the initiative to ask questions. Is able to dumb down accounting so anyone can learn it. Does get carried away at times with his stories but they are enjoyable. His real life experiences in the field shed light on what accounting outside of class is like.

Attendance is essential to your grade. You have to check-in every day for class, so that you can receive points for your participation. But, you have 2 excused absences that you can use throughout the semester, as long as you email him prior to class. All of the homework is online; no in class assignments. Plus, he often gives extra credit.

Awesome Professor. Taking notes in class is a must, especially the in-class exercises. Uses experiences and real life examples for his lectures to make the lesson easier to understand.

Taking the ACC 201 course with Wendell helped a lot with getting to know the content. He really wants you to learn and he tries his best to make sure we understand what we are learning by providing real life examples. He always responds to emails. Attendance is mandatory, if you miss one day you miss an entire chapter. Great professor overall!

Great Professor! Lectures are inspirational and important to learn in the Business community. The book is on the expensive side but other than that no complaints on the class.

Great Professor! highly recommend taking his class His lectures are never boring because of the great stories he tells from his personal experience that relates to the lessons. Although there is weekly homework, the difficulty is not too bad as long as you show up and take good notes, which he goes over with you in class.

Wendell gives shares a lot of fun personal experiences to help you better understand certain concepts used in real life situations. Most of the problems done during lecture will help you with answers for you homework and quiz so be sure to attend class for those notes + attendance points.

Professor Wendell Lee is superb in what he does when teaching accounting. At the beginning of the semester, he said it won't make sense. But as time went on he would be patient with us as a class. Slowly but surely the work started to make sense. All in all Professor Wendell Lee is a great professor and doesn't get the proper credit he deserves.

Great professor with interesting stories. Print all chapter notes if you want to really keep up with lectures. Does the problems with speed and explains fast. Might want take time for students to figure out how you're solving the problems step by step instead of you solving it yourself while reporting to students what you're writing or doing.

Great Professor but he moves FAST. He is more than willing to stop and answer questions, in fact he is always asking if he is moving too fast, but if YOU don't speak up, he won't know. He also has tons of stories and we have some good laughs in this class. There is about 15-20 homework problems per week. (It is tedious, don't wait til sunday.)

Prof. Lee is absolutely great! He's very thorough in lectures and he'll ask the class if they understand the in class exercises, and if they don't then he'll go through it again step by step. Very homework intensive class, pay attention to the lectures so you'll understand the homework problems. The exams are based off of some homework problems.

Great instructor who knows his stuff very well. He has a lot of real world experience as he just retired from being a partner at Acuity. Does every problem step by step and has no problem slowing down in lectures when needed. Fair grader.

The textbook is helpful but not mandatory. He is very helpful and always responds to emails. Attendence is very important and the lectures aren't overwhelming.

Wendell is a great professor. Although the concept is tough, he tries to make the class more bearable. He is open to listen to any concerns the students have. He is easy to talk to, if it's about the class or just accounting firms, or his own stories from his experience. So, you have the opportunity to learn more about the accounting world!

This was the first time he taught this course. Overall, his class was not hard, but the content (corporate tax) was hard. Wendell really cares about his students and wants to see them succeed.

For our specific class, it was a Friday set-up which made the class a 3 hour session. If you miss that it is like missing a full week of work. The homework can be intense but he goes over similar problems in the class and walks you through it, so it is important to show up. His lectures aren't book heavy, he focuses on real life implications.

This is my second class I've taken with Wendell and I enjoyed both classes. He turns "boring" subjects into fun classes! It's easy to learn and pay attention in his classes. If you want to pass you just need to go to class and listen!

Professor Wendell has 3 exams, all online. The homework is to prepare you because he takes similar questions from there and he tells you which will be on the exam. Very easy to talk to and gives good life advice. Show up to class because attendance is important to him sometimes. Very passionate about the subject and will help you if you need it.

For this particular course, Prof. Lee made it clear at the beginning of the semester that his intent was to structure it similar to a master's program. Your course grade depended entirely on the 3 exams that you had to take. There was no homework which meant, in-class lecture and work was key in order to fully understand the topics that are covered

His lecture videos are precise and very easy to follow. I was never bored while I was watching his lectures because he explains topics with his experience as a CPA. Also, his lecture notes have everything you need to be successful in his course. he also gave me great advice about my future career at the video conference. I loved his course.

Youll pass the class as long as you attend every lecture. Exams are the same as the quizzes, so you just need to study those and youll get an easy A.

You learn a lot about the topics of taxation and he makes it easy to understand through his examples. Exams questions are the same as Homework questions with different numbers. He also allows a one page, front and back, notes for exams.

He is easy to get along with and I like him! I wish he teaches the corporate tax next sem!

Great class. Condenses material to the most important stuff. He cuts out a lot of the fat and gibberish in textbooks. He goes straight to the important stuff, and he's funny.

It was an amazing experience to have a professor who could incorporate personal real life experiences that are related to the lecture being given. It has played as an inspiration and motivation for me to continue working hard to get to where i'm going! Because of this class, I may focus more on Accounting!

Attendance is mandatory due to all of the learning are via class presentations. The exams aren't extremely difficult, but you do need understand at least the basics. He goes over the exam review 1 class before the exam date which was extremely helpful.

Exams is through wiley but he prepares you for it, just make sure to attend his review session. Attendance is important to get a good grade.

Wendall is a great professor because he is passionate about Accounting. You have to attend class in order to pass. He does a day of lecture and the second day of class he goes over homework questions. Homework can be challenging if you don't attend class. Test are similar to the homework.

Accounting 202 is a hard class but Professor Wendell does a great job of covering the material for you to be successful on the hw (which uses connect) and successful on the exams. If you attend the lectures and pay attention you should get a good grade. Overall, really enjoyed the lectures because of his personality and inspiring stories.

Professor Lee's Federal Tax: Individual Income class was one of the best I have ever taken. The structure and expectations of the course were clear from the beginning and the assignments (particularly the research needed to complete the 1040 forms) were instrumental to learning the application of tax, and relevant tax laws. Thank you, Professor!

Like the structure of the class. 1 chapter due each week, 2-3 assignments related to chapter, 3 exams (noncumulative) and 1 "big" project - writing tax memo. It seems overwhelming and daunting at first but I didn't find it too bad, he gives you hints and helps guide you to the answer.

Great class to take even if you're not in accounting. It's income taxes, everyone pays taxes. His class was very challenging. He'd give a tax scenario and you would have to apply the knowledge learned to the scenario. There was no right or wrong answer, you'd just have to defend your position, so it was very tricky. I liked his class very much

Highly recommend! Expectations are very straightforward from the start. Very approachable should you need help or clarification about anything, in or outside of class. Provides lecture videos, but highly recommend attending in-person!! If you did ok in the prerequisite class (BUSA312), you'll do great in this class as long as you put in the effort.

Professor Lee's class is challenging but rewarding. The structured assignments and focus on real-world tax application are helpful. For study prep, I found unstuck ai and the textbook very useful. Attend class and you'll do well.

I'd recommend any course taught by Professor Wendell. He's extremely knowledgeable and if you make an effort to talk to him in-class or during his office hours, he's more than willing to recommend you to jobs. He cares about his students success and is an amazing professor.
