She was my first college professor. I am in Dual Credit english and so she comes to my high school. She is very understanding. I think she has given me a good out-look on what college will be vs. high school. Shes tough but I have been through 4 classes with her and passed with a B. I struggle in school too.

I would recommend her. Just do what you are supposed to do and you will make an A. She is always available in her office to help, or give feedback. Write your paper early and she is willing to proofread it and help you. She is explicity clear in what she wants and you will learn English.

She has by far been my favorite teacher. She is sweet hearted and just an awesome teacher. Do what she says and youll get an A. She is extremly reasonable and will help you out at any time.

ok so i took her for english1302 and she was amazing! it was a little tough, but only because it was a summer course so everything was crammed all together! but i still managed to get an A! she explains everything VERY well and actually cares about her students. i completely recommend her!

i took her for English 1301 and english 1302. she is one of the sweetest teachers i have ever had. she's always willing to help you with your essays, especially if you finish it early, she'll gladly proofread it for you and help you edit it.she listens to all the opinions of the students and loves class discussions. i recommend her :)

I loved this teacher, I don't know why so many other students have given her a bad rep. She is very helpful, posts ALOT of stuff in shared files on my cruiser making it so easy to find any information regarding an assignment in case you missed a lecture or don't have good notes. She gives lots of good feedback on assignments.

I took english 1301 online over the summer with her. It was my first online class and super easy. I am horrible at writing and i still got an A on all 3 papers. We also used the discussion board to post activities that you got a 100 on if you posted something. I would recommend taking her especially if it is online.

I really enjoyed my semester in this class! Mrs. Pierce is very sweet and helpful. She has a lot of interesting perspectives and is an interesting person! I really enjoyed class discussions. Complete reading assignments and you will do great! :)

As long as you do the reading you can make an A. We go over the reading in class and discuss it so you are prepared for the tests. She gets excited when you have good input lol. She really seems to care about literature and you have very little homework but make sure to read.

I took her for 1301 English and I had no problems. If there was a technical error she was quick to correct it. If you ever want feedback on a particular assignment, email her and she will gladly help. Take the class seriously and you will do fine.

What a great professor. She is very responsive in Email, and very helpful when needed. Took her online English 1301 class during the summer. The work was balanced quite well. I would take her again for English Comp 2!!

Tests are scored in a bizarre fashion. 10 pts a question. Assignments are simple if you review the textbook. Easy read and helps for essays. If you dont enjoy writing DO NOT TAKE HER! All assignments are straighforward and simple. Follow her grading syllabus and you will walk out with an A. Took summer online.

Honestly, I wish i'd taken her for Comp 2 as well. She was super nice and graded pretty easy. Compared to my Comp 2 teacher, she was an absolute breeze. She made me actually LIKE what I was writing about and I felt passionately about the topics she gave.

The class is very boring, but she is not a bad teacher at all. The quizes are not hard at all I made 100's off of most if not all just by reading the sparks notes.

I took her for both Eng-1301 and 1302. They were both also 8 week classes. In 1301 we watched 3 really amazing videos and only wrote three essays. But there is a lot of blackboard assignments. In the second eight week we watched one movie and read a lot. Also she doesn't give a final exam.

She explains the material clearly , is easy to understand and the class was fun.

Professor Pierce took the time to have individual meetings with students when we were writing essays to give us feed back on what we could improve on. She didn't give us lectures on a daily basis but still taught us. She made it a pleasure to be in her class considering it was eight o'clock in the morning. As long as you show up, it is an easy A.

Very easy A, took the 8 week course. Clearly states what she wants, grades accordingly. Always available if you have questions. Easy quizzes (5 questions) usually over short reading assignments. Overall a great professor and educator.

She's the sweetest! Easy class. Make sure you do the online activities, easy grade. Sometimes class can be boring. Super helpful and understanding.

She is wonderful - I took her during a mini-mester. We did 5 papers in 11 days. It was worth it. There was nightly reading.

Pierce was my favorite professor this semester. She is very interested in student's work and got back to every email in a very timely manner. VERY helpful and caring. She really wants to see her students succeed. Already signed up for her ENGL 1302 class!

take this class over the summer!!! you'll barely have homework. you'll write like 3 essays but they are only 5-7 paragraphs each! taking this professor was the best choice ive ever made!!! she's nice, and sorta funny, a great teacher. she doesnt lecture and all of the notes are on the test, you'll barely write down notes!!! love her

She was an amazing teacher. Didnt lecture a lot and when she did it was to the point. I never once stressed out about this class. The three essay we wrote were actually pretty interesting topics. No final, easy midterm. Available to help out in any way. Dont miss a class period though because we always have an easy assignment to do.

She an excellent professor. Their are only four essays that you have to write and are only 5 paragraphs but are a huge percent of your grade and if you mess up on an essay shell give you a chance to fix it. Most of the other grades are participation grades. The final is just extra points

She was very kind and attentive. You have a quiz every time you have a reading, make sure you're on time for the quizzes. They are relatively easy if you did the reading. 3 major essays, one of which is a group essay, one mid term, and a research project. Overall, the class was a breeze.

I think its honestly hard to say anything bad about Professor Pierce. From the first day she laid out everything to us. Didn't lecture to much, essays weren't bad at all, and gave amazing feedback on everything we did to become better. I wouldn't hesitate to take her again!

From all the reviews I have read, Ive got to say Im surprised by all the negativity. I took Ms. Pierce for comp. 1 in the Spring semester and she was absolutely amazing! Shes a very caring and nice teacher that wont hesitate to help you if you ask, she does lecture a ton but thats the norm for all English classes. Take her you wont regret it!

Took this class during a Maymester, so there were essays due every few days; however, the instructions were always clear and the papers werent long. Pierce is definitely a caring teacher and enjoys what her work, but if youre not used to thinking beyond the obvious (aka the average student), you may find this class difficult.

If despise essays and need a lot of help writing them, this might not be the BEST class to take, but if you are even average at English you should have 0 problems getting an A. No final, just a very easy midterm and 3-4 essays. You have plenty of time and if you still struggle there is a free writing lab on NW campus. Mrs. Pierce is a delight.

She provides everything so you do not have to purchase book. There are several writing assignments but nothing hard to do. She gives you about 3 weeks for your 5-7 page research paper so do not let that scare you. you have more than enough time. Just do the work and follow instructions & it will be an easy A

Wendi Pierce is my favorite English Professor of ALL TIME!! This is my second time taking her for an English class and I love her still. She is so supportive and helpful. I am a science major but she made me fall in love English again and I have been reading books ever since taking her. I look at writing in a whole new light. She is great.

I don't know why her rating isnt higher. I thought she was a great teacher, essays were easy and only had to do 4. Showing up to class matters because she does group participation grades. Overall I thought she was great and the class was easy.

I failed to turn in an essay and had a failing grade after that, I asked her "how can I pass?" and she said put in the work on the last assignments. I miraculously ended the class with a 69.59 (C). I enjoy her teaching!

She was honestly the best professor I have ever had. Ended her class with an A while taking another summer class. Instructions are very clear and she is a fair grader with great feedback!

She was one of my favorites at TCC. Her lectures and assignments were interesting. Writing has always been something that gave me a lot of anxiety but she wants her students to succeed and it shows. If you are struggling, just ask for help. She gives great feedback. Writing is a time consuming process, there is really no way around that.

Took her half semester online BRIT LIT. Lots of reading, a little boring. Great at answering questions and helping out if you need it, is also willing to give extensions. My only issue was that she's a slow grader.

Fair amount of work for an 8 week class. The readings are kinda boring but her assignments usually weren't too hard. Take a while to grade things but she doesn't grade very tough. Pretty good class.

took blended class, textbook was included, some fairly easy projects almost weekly, easy mini lessons on asynchronous days, nice professor.

Professor Pierce is a very genuine and easy-going professor. She's accessible outside of class, and the work she assigns is manageable + easy to understand, all you really have to do is make sure you show up and put in effort. You have to socialize to an extent in her course, so I would suggest sitting next to friendly people. Would def take again!

I am not community- or group-project-oriented, but since I had this professor for an online course, her emphasis on these things was mitigated. Pierce is clear, responsive, and kind. I enjoyed this class and learned a lot from it. I am glad to now know how to compile an annotated bibliography, for example. Would take this professor again, gladly.
