took her during the summer. extremely easy to pass. doesnt requiere the text books. homework:one essay(at the most 2pgs long) a week but she wll accept it at anyt time.good teacher

She's alright. She's not bad, but she's not the worst teacher I've ever had. She's not interactive with the class, so in order to pass well, you should definitely study and re-read what she taught in the textbook. Her tests are kind of hard, but her study guides are extremely helpful! No homework!! and "essays" are way easy!

she is a very pleasant teacher; lectures are ok...sometimes hard to follow when taking notes with her outlines but she gives good study guides for tests which if followed, will help assure you a good grade on tests. some essay writing, but its not hard. overall its a good class.

I took Wendy for General and Women PSY. Both classes were interesting and the lectures were easy. She gives you the notes online to print, gives 3 extra credit papers to write, and is willing to help you study. I took her twice b/c I knew she was good. Test are all multiple choice and that is kinda hard for me. Otherwise, take her : )

I took psychology 1. It was very interesting. You must do all homework and read the book. You have test on all chapters. The final is not that hard if you study. She made the class interesting.

Brooks is a wonderful lady she is the most wonderful teacher ive ever had. Shes very understanding and makes class interesting. This coarse requires alot of note taking. Her class is basically based on tests and extra credit make sure you do not ever miss not even one day of class.

Amazing teacher, and amazing class. She is extremely helpful and comprehensible. Her tests are multiple choice and are quite blunt and obvious, so very easy to pass. Her class is out of 700 points, and she gives you about 100 points worth of extra credit. If you do the extra credit, you can pass the class with an A without even taking the final.

Dr. Brooks is a wonderful teacher. She gives her students every opportunity to pass the class with a good grade. She offers multiple extra credit assignments and has lecture notes and study guides for you to follow if you want. I would recommend this teacher to anyone, psychology major or not. She's awesome. Very good professor and works in the field full time which helps. I never got the book and never needed it except for one project which can be done in the library. Professor Brooks is great! She is very nice and willing to help her students out. She'll explain things from the book then use examples from her own life which helps concepts stick. I felt it was a pretty easy class and I didn't use the textbook. Definitely recommend taking her for Intro to Psych!

Dr. brooks is really cool and awesome. She's very helpful and gives study guides for her tests. She assigns a couple of short essays. If you put in the work, you will pass her class. If you gain enough points then you dont have to take the final! Remember to attend class and dont show up late.

I loved her class. If you do the extra credits then you have nothing to worry about. Even completely missing one of the tests wouldn't hurt much.

Attendance is important! She gives 3 extra credit opportunities and you should do them all to be on the safe side. Study guides are helpful and the order of the study guides are in the order of the test. She's rarely cancels class & is always on time.

Dr. Brooks is very straight forward and funny. She tells you what she expects from the beginning and provides you with every opportunity to get an "A" in her class. The study guides on Blackboard should be used for the class to be easier than the traditional studying. Plenty of extra credit. Points are cumulative.

I would recommend her class to everyone. She does give weekly assignments but there pretty easy, you basically write about what you learned from the weekly lecture.

Great teacher! I almost switched to being a psych major after taking her because not only is she knowledgable, she has a sense of humor and makes learning fun. Didn't read the textbook that much because she was always clear and covered the material, but it does let you get ahead in the lectures sometimes and it's not too boring.

Dr Wendy Brooks is an excellent professor, she has a clear grading criteria that is easily able to be understood and students can easily receive an A if they apply themselves to do the work and study. She can be a little awkward but thats okay, she makes up for it by being funny and very social which makes this class very interesting.

She has awesome lectures that she relates to herself or the class in some way. I had her at 8am and she was never boring. Gives you three extra credit opportunities and gives you the study guides for all the Exams and the Final the first day. Take good notes and come everyday. Easy A if you put in some effort.

The only reason I gave this class a 3 for difficulty was because there are 4 tests, not including the final, that are around 75 questions each. There is a lot of memorizing, but she gives outlines for each test which tells you exactly what to study! A lot of ex credit too!

Had to retake Psych cause I had a lot going on in my life but Dr. Brooks was definitely a blessing. She is very clear in what she wants form students and the study guides she provides do indeed have everything that's in the exams. Study, attend class, and listen in the lectures and it will be a well-deserved A.

Professor Brooks is a very knowledgable person when it comes to psychology. She always keep the class engaged and she is also hilarious. The way she compares real life to the material is so helpful. Do the extra credit. She gives clear instructions many times and you are expected to follow through as an adult. Turn your written assessment in early she will grade it, allow you to edit the paper, and turn it in again if it's before the due date. She won't lower her standards, but she is an excellent teacher and will guide you.

I highly recommend prof brooks I took her for research methods. Be prepared to read and write A LOT. You will develop essential skills to read/ analyze research papers in this class. She grades on attendance and gives extra credit so extra points! All exams/ quizzes are based on lec/the textbook. There is a final research paper and exam.

Intro to psy was very interesting and engaging. I liked learning about study habits and effective note taking, along with interesting chapters/lectures. One BIG assignment and small test based on chapters/lectures every Friday and small assignments throughout semester. She is good at teaching. all her information sticks bcs of the examples¬es.

She's is a fantastic educator. As she lectures she provides real world examples, has us repeat certain things out loud and answers any questions big or small(kind of similar to a mark k lecture in a way) . I learned alot and will take her next semester because of her teaching style she made the criteria interesting

She's so funny! I absolutely love her stories that she uses for examples in class. The assignments are well create and her canvas is sooo organized. Everything is shown at the beginning, and you absolutely know what you are getting yourself in throughout the semester! She loves to know about you, and genuinely cares about each person.

She values participation, keeps lectures fun & engaging, & makes the material manageable. She is funny and supportive. Participation matters, she's fair but firm.
