I have to disagree. I always hated english, especially after all the bad professors. But in her class although there are a lot of papers to write I actually started to enjoy writing each one every time. Indeed, you will have to sacrifice your highest alternative valued to do her work but man, do you learn something great. I now like to analyze poet

Ms. Goodwin is a wonderful teacher. Although sometimes she can be dramatic, but this is what keeps the class going. I strongly recommend that you take Ms. Goodwin, this is a professor you would not be repentant you took! V

She is a very dramatic prof, but she does not mean any harm. She is very cooperative, and if you need help with your paper, you can take it to her and she is more than happy to look over it and make revisions. If you do not ask, then she assumes you understand the topic and moves on- silence is a form of acceptance. She has a FLAIR for teaching!!!!

She is a very nice teacher when she wants to be. As for teaching she's very specific on how she want things done, she definately uses text book!

she was very helpful and i learned alot. the last topic we had our project on was graphic and it really moved me. over all she's a great teacher and i would take her again

Great Great Great Great teacher. Like no lie ppl ....I've been taken her since the summer of 09 and it has been going very well. I passed the EXIT EXAM with a high score and everything. I'm not changing English teacher I'm sticking with her until the end :)

SHE IS THE BEST PROFESSOR YOU WILL EVER HAVE!!! I have to take a state exit exam and I got high scores! Sure she makes you write a lot of papers, but trust me it will come very handy when it comes to writing your exit essay exam with your grammer exam. Take her if you wanna pass this exam cause the exam is no joke and I kid you not! SHE is the best

Amazing proffesor i am planning to stick with her to the end, it is so easy to earn an A in the class because she gives quizzes almost everyday , but is on the material she covers. EAsy teacher very pretty, funny and nice

She's a good teacher. You'll learn a lot. She just has an attitude at times and can be rather opinionated. Not every understanding at all. Over all, she isn't terrible.

Good teacher, she doesnt play games. If you pay attention you'll do great.

Compare to other writing courses it is a hard class, but the professor is very clear in what she wants and she is able to help during her office hours. Do expect to analyze a lot of poetry and read short stories. I recommend for each essay to do a draft that way you'll get a better grade.

Pro. Goodwin is not bad at all. She does give you a ton of writing assignments, stories, poems to read but come on, its ENGLISH class. She is always there to assist you and she is super nice. You learn a lot about things such as the Holocaust and how to improve your writing. Overall, her class is challenging but you WILL learn something. Take her.

Prof. Goodwin is a great. She gives about 5 essays. But she helps you with every step of the way.

At first I didn't like this class because I felt she was a little strict, but she's a great prof, the class was interesting. Just make sure you don't miss class when assignments are due unless you have a legit doctors note or something.

Great professor. She is nice and keeps you entertained the class is easy to pass as long as you do the work. Everything you turn in counts for a grade and she helps you every step of the way in an essay. She is a wonderful teacher and you learn alot with her.

Her online class was very easy! Everything you do for this class does count for a grade so make sure to complete all the work and quizzes on time. She is very helpful and if you have any doubts and e-mail her she will reply ASAP! I really enjoyed her class.

Professor Goodwin by far the best teacher at Miami-Dade. I've become a better writer thanks to her . She helps you every step of the way . Yes we did essays but she helps every step of the way . We had 5 essays and work from the workbook. You need to do the labs. I recommend her if you want to learn.

While the class is set to be extremely rigorous, often times there aren't explanations to justify points deductions. I recommend that all work be saved so that you may refer back to it because once posted, as a student, you cannot access the posted material. She is an extremely tough grader and does take her time in posting scores.

She's an amazing professor, she gives a lot of work, but its super easy. She keeps the class interesting, and her essay topics are also interesting.

Definitely my favorite professor this semester! It's not hard to pass her class at all, we got work often but I know I was not writing as much as my friends in other ENC1101 classes. She corrects your paper multiple times for you and if you make the changes you're more than likely to get an A. She relates lessons to real life and is pretty funny!

She is a very nice woman and actually gives you useful feedback. She does take points off for grammatical errors, and will also take points off of a paper if it could've been organized in a more logical sequence. I don't really mind the extra points being taken off, because I feel as though this is the only real way to become a better writer.

I don't know why people give her negative feedback she is amazing I learn a lot in her class I wish she taught in high school I would of pass my SAT in the first try. Do her homework for better grades she awesome and gives extra credit don't be lazy go to tutoring to get your paper revise for an easy A.

She's a great funny gal likes to socialize with the class. I liked her better than my other English teach, gives good feedback, approachable, ask her for help if stuck she'll def help. Her paper assignments were interesting and i felt i could actually write on the topic instead of bs it. We also did grammar work out of the textbook not difficult.

Amazing professor, taught the material very well. I admire this professor to the core. She does not baby sit you but will help you in anyway she can to make u a successful student. One of the best I've seen. Take her class you won't regret it, at the end of the semester u will be one of the best writer / literature student guaranteed.

Professor Goodwin is great! She makes her lectures fun making a few jokes here and there and throws in very interesting facts in relation to the topic. Lots of work and writing, but it is an English class after all. It's expected. She's very helpful and gives good feedback on your drafts so you receive a higher grade on the due date.

AMAZING!!!! I don't even know where to start.. I wish I would have taken her in class rather than online so I could have met her in person. She is absolutely wonderful. Very helpful, responds to emails, gives extra credit if needed, and encourages you!! If you take her you won't regret it.

Great teacher. She teaches you what you need to know and expects to be given it back through your essays. Final is a group project that with enough dedication you will get an A.

If you missed homework on due date, she will still give you time to makeup. She is very caring. I would love to have her for all my classes lol. She is awesome.

She was a little intimidating at first, but became my favorite professor. I took her blended class, & did homework involving writing about assigned literature pieces every week. The midterm was an essay, there are three or four other essays to write, you will not fail unless you don't do an essay. She is so sweet and class discussions were great!

Professor Goodwin is the toughest professor I have ever had while being at MDC. In total there were like 5 essays and all back to back. She allows for 2 rough drafts before final submission. 1 exam & the final was a group project on a genocide that included a powerpoint & presentation w/ a brochure.

She is the best teacher I have ever had. She is funny in class, and always available for you at her office.

Wonderful professor truly cares for her kids and wants them to succeed! Also made sure to support us and check up on us when we transferred for the last couple week to virtual due to Covid-19

This professor is a great professor and also this class was not a harder class but the professor was good in giving us feedback on our essay and a assignment.

I LOVED this teacher. I took enc1101 in fall of 2021 online and all i can say was this was my favorite teacher. As long as you do the work you will pass! i dont even remember taking a test in this class and she gives amazing feedback on essays and allows u to change what u did wrong. 10/10 recommend her she is amazing!!! easy A!

Prof Goodwin was hard, cannot deny it, but it definitely worth it! If you're a passionate reader and have inclinations upon writing, this is definitely is your class! You have to put a lot of effort, do at least 5 or 6 readings, but It definitely pays off!!

Helpful and very respectful as well. She gives great feedback on your essays that'll help you correct your mistakes for the next essay. The modules help you with the given essay that you'll type up. As long as you meet the deadlines for the modules, you can go at your own pace. Definitely recommend if you want to be excellent at writing papers.

Goodwin is a great professor who loves to connect with her students. Her class is easy, and if there is anything you may have missed or got wrong, worry not as she offers many opportunities for re-submission of assignments. But I don't understand the point of the lengthy McGraw Hill lab.

If you are confident in your reading/writing abilities and want a truly independent learning experience, Professor Goodwin is for you. She is overall reasonable and responds to emails in a timely manner. If you need a lot of help and instruction or expect a lot of feedback, Professor Goodwin might not be for you.

Took this course in spring 2023. Professor and coursework were good but I didn't take this course seriously.

She is a great professor she will help you to be a better writer. She is a little strict but it is for the better, her classes are really interesting and helpful.There is quite a bit of homework given but as long as you keep up and do what is necessary you will pass.

She is very nice and understanding sometimes she does have moment when and she is very loud when telling students about their paper . Often times she will tell you to fix current mistake on your draft before you turn it in then when you do that she still finds something wrong with it . You have to talk to her one on one about your grades .

Professor Goodwin is an incredibly kind and thoughtful teacher who truly cares about her students. Understanding our busy lives, she's flexible with assignmentm deadlines. Her teaching style is clear making the material easy to grasp. She's also very approachable and responsive, always available when I need help. I reconmmend her class
