Willing to help, offers much office hour time to talk to students as well as ALOT of extra credit. DIscussion type class. Gets students involved.
Really easy class. She takes attendance. The only complaint I have is she talks your ear off. She talks for hours without stopping. If u enjoy easy grades and naps take this class.
DONT EVER TAKE HER! She is a horrible teacher. She cannot teach, when lecturing her lesson she goes off on tangents. You learn absolutly NOTHING!
THIS CLASS WAS HORRIBLE!! She cannot teach whatsoever! You have to write two 8 page papers.....its hard enough to write 8 pages but who can write it on philosophy! I wouldnt recommend her to anyone!
She was a HORRIBLE HORRIBLE teacher. I wouldnt even call her a teacher, you learn from a teacher. I learned NOTHING from her. All she did was talk and NOTHING to do with philosphy. She BRAGS yes BRAGS about making two kids pass out from her stories!
HoRRorIblE teacher, doesnt help you, talks about nothing, goes off topic all the time. DONT TAKE HER!
I have NEVER had such a HORRIBLE teacher. She should NOT be teaching. You learn absolutely NOTHING. SHe doesnt even stay on topic when she lectures! She even BRAGGED about making two studetns pass out!
I think she is a bad teacher. I didnt learn anything. I thought she was boring, she wouldnt stay on topic she would always go off in these tangents. I think that she shouldnt be teaching.
Awesome teacher...first one to really make me think about my own opinions...is challenging but is helpful and very approachable...obviously the first 5 or so comments were left by the same person, a shame
pretty easy. gives alot of extra credit options which is great! the class can get boring @ times, but if u can write well u'll do fine.
the class won't be bad if it was at 8 in the morning! But you can't complain..not tests!
I didn't like her, she had a huge lisp, and i couldn't understand half the things she said
Challenging but very fun class.Be prepared for class discussion. Shes very open to arguments as long as you give support. There are long papers but if u take it in to her early she'll read over it and help you out so you can do well. Thought itd be rough but def learned a lot& was fun too!
THIS IS THE BEST PROFESSOR EVER! Shes helpful, clear and I would reccomend her to anyone that is willing to work hard! Shes entertaining and not the most "conventional" teacher out there!!
An ok teacher but tough grader. Lots of extra credit, but still VERY difficult if not impossible to get an A. She uses the F-word about every other sentence and can make you very uncomfortable.
Dr. Lee is easily the best Profesor at our University. I consistently find a class of hers to take every semester, just for fun. You'll see opinions saying she's horrible but every objection they have is unfounded. Trust me, there is no one more fun or educational than Dr. Lee.
You do nothing in class unless you have a paper due. Its good that there is no final but because you didn't understand what we were talking about one day and you have to write your paper on that your going to do bad. She thinks that everyone should be a genius and she doesnt understand otherwise.
Dr. Lee is fair and kind. She is an excellent teacher, anyone who doesn't like her probably just didn't reach high standards. The class is hard but she makes herself easily found for help and gives alot of extra credit.
Very good teacher. Material was incredible dense, but she made it understandable. Be prepared to work hard and truly earn your grade. It's tough material, but your mind will grow tenfold. She's very approachable, and she listens to student concerns! Take her and learn!

Dr. Lee is an excellent teacher who is fair and always willing to help a student. She is creative in her teching style, and encourages students to apply philosophy to media and society. If you work then you do well. If you are a lazy peice of****, don't take her classes.
She is a nut ball. A great teacher when it comes to explaining what you just read the night before.
WHAT EVER YOU DON'T FORGET TO CITE SOMETHING IN YOUR PARER!!! IF YOU FORGET SHE FAILS YOU FOR THE CLASS!!!
Wonderful Prof. Extremely helpful. Very clear and concise. Her classes are an experience worth having no matter your academic discipline.
Great class. If you actually are interested in speaking you mind on certian issues and learning how to properly defend your beliefs this is the class to take. There are not tests only papers, but she is a tough grader until you really learn how to cover all the areas of your argument... (harder than it sounds). But a truly enjoyable class and she is an enjoyable teacher!
One of the best teachers that i've ever had.
Excellent. Clear. Concise. Friendly.
Simply the best Prof I ever had. Incredibly cool and understanding teacher. Makes every subject clear and easy to understand and is ALWAYS available to help you if your having trouble grasping somthing.
A limerick: I know of a Dr. named Wendy. Her colorful hair is quite trendy. She'll train a weak noggin, for some real kick a** joggin', where true learnin' is just round the bendy.
wndys problem is that she doesn't do what she preaches. don't dare to disagree or she'll flip on you. cannot grade fairly if you disagree with her. stay clear unless you are politically correct and can't think for yourself.
Worst professor ever

her essay tests are what is covered in lecture
she is very helpful and understanding
Dr. Lee is awesome. She will allow any viewpoint in her class no matter how much she disagrees with it personally. If you respect her, she will respect you. Expect to work and be challenged!
has a different agenda then educating students; uses class as a platform for her own thoughts
I loved critical thinking with Dr. Lee. She is very helpful and explains the concepts clearly. She gets you to think and is open to everyone's opinion about topics in class. One of the best classes I've taken at Bloom.
She is weird. She can be bruital with comments on the papers you have to write for her. You write two 4-5 page papers about a philosopher she chooses for you. She gives you all of the test questions the first day of class, but expects you to write a lot during the test, and grades hard on them. You should proably read the book before your class
she expresses her opinion without pressing it on you. Class very interesting but test are easy if you know what to study. Mandatory 2 papers 8 pages (not too bad though)
I think Dr. Lee is a great professor. She is very helpful and open to everyones opinion about topics discussed in class. She is one of the best Profs I've had at Bloom so far.
she is the best teacher i have had at bloom. really makes you think and despite what others say she is very open minded as long as you are respectful. def take her
Dr. Lee rocks, awesome class. she makes you think and plays devil's advocate but NEVER shoots down your ideas, and i had some pretty ridiculous ideas haha. definitely take her
Professor Lee is great, very helpful and entertaining. Her tests aren't hard, as long as you devote time to studying and the papers aren't too difficult. I highly recommend her.
Dr. Lee was an awesome teacher, who kept the class intresting. I don't know how learning philosophy would be with a boring professor but she def keeps it intresting. Extremely fun person! Great teacher. A must take class.
Her intro to philosophy class is very interesting. It is a class you will enjoy going to. By far one of my favorite teachers. Her class has 4 grades. The midterm, final, and 2 papers. The class isnt easy, but if you pay attention and study you should do fine. A+++ professor !
Prof. Lee was a wonderful teacher for my freshman year and start of classes. She gives both sides to opinions, encourages your input and her life outside of teaching is one extrordinary story. It is a difficult class, but worth taking, despite local town controversy.
Excellent independent study professor for any philosophy majors interested. She is very dedicated and actually gives you control over what you read, study and eventually write on. Also, she is very helpful (especially concerning possible publications and such). Great professor who wants students to speak up for themselves (regardless of what it is)
Intro to Philoso...She's an awesome teacher, it isn't just lecture she gets the class involved and every day i was into the class always interesting things to disscus, she's fun and keeps the class intersting, i looked forward to the class daily...2 papers a midterm a final and attendence are your grades. hard on comuters with snow tho.
She doesn't treat her students equally. Obviously there are some favorites whos ideas are always welcome and others no matter what they say she'll not take it seriously. She seems to have personal problems with some students tho its impossible to say what they are.
one of the smartest women i have met, very passionate and classes are centered around discussion which is best for philosophy. Made me look at things in my life differently after her class, which is hard to come by even in college. if you really want to expand on what you think you know in life, then take this class. Screaming Liberal/Feminest tho.
Wendy is great! Super smart and very funny. To get the most out of this class, copy all the notes and PARTICIPATE in the discussions! She grades paper's hard, but fair and will help you tons if you go to her office hours. Tests are not easy but not insane ether. This class is a good example of what a college course should be: challenging and fun.
In my class she was open to opinions from all, as long as they seemed to pay attention during lectures. The clarity of the information presented is crystal as long as you participate in discussions. That participation will be more helpful than the textbook and your notes, reiteration of the important terms will help on her tests.
Best professor I've ever had. She's clear, very interesting, and has a great teaching method. Class with her is NOT!! an easy A so do not expect it. I got a 71 on the 1st, 86 on the 2nd, and studying my A** off for the next. She gives a ton of extra credit, shes ALWAYS willing to help. Seriously, work for your grade. I'm def gonna take her again.
If you want someone who will pander to your tender ego, don't take her. If you want someone who will help you out of Plato's Cave, and will challenge you, help you to become a better thinker, and make a lasting impression on your life, take Dr. Lee.
In philosphy classes you have often 2-3 points that draw you in to the big picture. often people who dont get it say the teacher is bed. Dr. Lee is an awesome teacher who pushes you to try harder and defend your ideas. Philosophy is looking at all angles and solidifying your thoughts or perhaps changing them when they are weak.
Ms. Lee teaches defending your point of view only if it matches hers. Her class is propaganda for socialism and liberalism
She isn't helpful at all. If you copy notes directly from her mouth and then your essays from your notes, she still says you're wrong. She purposely makes a 100 level class 20 times more difficult than any 200 or 300 level class I've ever taken. She's incredibly biased and her "Devil's Advocate" game is just her way of saying you're wrong.
Great class, if you have trouble within the first month, work hard, copy notes, do all the extra credit, and you should have at least a B. Very interesting course
Dr. Lee is the type of professor I wish I had in every class. She pushes you to think outside of what you grew up believing. The class is interactive and not just boring power points and monotoned lectures. Attendance is mandatory but you get easy points just for showing up
This is hands down the best professor I have ever had, and I am not a philosophy major. Her method of teaching requires students to evaluate their ethical opinions. I highly recommend this professor.
Wendy Lee is a great professor! She really makes class fun and interesting. She has a way of creating in depth discussions in the class which makes the class time fly by. Understanding the material is a must in order to get a really high grade on her exams but she will help you in any way she can to understand the material.
She is a good professor. I understand everything perfectly the way she explains it. She definitely DOES NOT like electronics (phones, computers, etc) in class. She tells us too much about her personal and political life in my opinion. She is a difficult grader just do the readings and take thorough notes and you'll be good. Be sure to participate!
Dr. Lee is SUCH a wonderful professor.. You almost have to be challenged to appreciate. She is surely passionate about.. many things.. But communicates the content thoroughly and makes sure to be clear about new topics. Lots of class discussion and debates. Papers were very difficult to write, but an excellent way to show understandingopinions. A+
Great professor in class, horrible grader. You can know all the material and she will still mark it wrong on exams, and all she will put in the remarks is "need more". She is clear in her explanations, but the grading is awful.
wouldnt recommend this teacher, shes a tough grader and attendace is mandatory
phenomenal women and professor . tough grader so STUDY and take word for word notes ! I loved her class
Contemporary moral problems is a REALLY interesting class. Dr. Lee brings up controversial issues and advocates for both sides of the argument. The class includes 4 written papers, those of which she assigns topics. She's a tough grader but allows you to edit and resubmit them. Take it if you're interested in following the world's current issues!
Great professor! Really makes you think about the issues today's society faces. Pretty tough grader though, but she offers plenty of extra credit. Attendance is mandatory.
Tough Grader. She does not give out A's and you cannot read her handwriting to understand the corrections she wants you to make. She is crazy liberal and you have to agree with her views if you want a decent grade. She talks extremely loud during her lectures, as well as not letting you get a word in, then saying you didn't participate.
She's very raw and realistic. She doesn't just put a power point of the textbook up and read to you she actually sits there and talks to you and makes the topics relatable and interesting. All her tests are about five essay questions, which she gives the questions to you prior to the test, but you still have to study. Offers lots of extra credit
She really loves what she does. She doesn't just lecture at you. The class is her explaining each topic with notes on the board and then lost of group discussion after each. She's down to earth and makes the topics covered relative and interesting. You are given the essay Qs on day one, but she is a tough grader. Put in the work and you're good.
Dr Lee is one of the best professors at BU hands down. she is completely competent and knowledgeable about all areas of philosophy and while she has her unapologetic opinions, she encourages the whole class to discuss and debate important topics. Taking CMP would just not have been the same with any other prof. However she is a rigorous grader!
Extremely boring teacher, not sure if it is her or the class, no its probably just her. The class requires mandatory senseless papers and attendance is required, I personally would not take this class especially with this specific teacher.
Tests are entirely short answer; basically must write down everything you know about the topic. There are 10 short answer questions and only 5-6 of them are given and the questions are given out at the beginning of the semester, so the students know what will be asked of them. Class is fun but tests can be a little stressful. Extra credit available
Had Lee for Introduction to Philosophy. At first, I hated the class, but the more I went, the more I liked it. Her tests are comprised just a few essay questions, where you have to throw up everything you know about the topic. She offers a lot of extra credit opportunities, so make sure to do those, because she's a hard grader!
Dr. Lee is by far the most intellectually inclined person I have ever meet. BUT, her exams are no joke. Three open ended exams and all of the questions in the syllabus. When exam time comes she picks five of the ten. She is beyond tough at grading but will help you out all she can if you go to her office hours. PLENTY of extra credit.
Let's get to it: Wendy Lee is one of my favorite professors of the University. Is she tough on grading? Sure, if you didn't read the assignment or try to think for yourself. Otherwise, she is incredibly fair. She grades you based on what you put into the course; in the end, you have no one but yourself to blame for a bad grade. Solid A Prof.
I was not a fan of Professor Lee! All of her classes were discussion and lecture heavy and based on the textbook. Also, she only had thee tests (each worth 100pts) during the entire semester which meant that there was no cushion/room for error. She gave extra credit but was not generous with points.
Great, fun person. Would talk to her outside of class.
Hands down my favorite professor Ive ever taken. You need to attend class and take good notes to do well on the essay tests, but the class is worth it. Dr. Lee is one of the most open minded, intellectual teachers Ive encountered. You can tell how passionate she is about philosophy when she speaks during her lectures. Recommend fully.
Trys pushing her political views on everyone
She's a good professor and regardless what the fake reviews say she does encourage discourse and I have never seen her talk down or threaten to fail anyone. In fact participation is part of your grade. Papers are long but easy. Attendance mandatory. Quick turn around time on exams and papers.
Professor Lee was one of the best professors I have ever had. She tries to get people to think for themselves & does not push her views on anyone. She is an incredibly fair professor and is always available if you need help. For this class, there are three essay exams and she gives you the prompts on the first day of class & a ton of extra credit.
Worst class I've ever taken at Bloomsburg. It was only 3 exams, all essay, and no rubric. Even if you put down exactly what she says the answer is, she will find a way to say you're wrong. She is not helpful at all and pushes all her political beliefs onto you. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. It's hard, a waste of time, and you will receive no help
Took Dr. Lee for Feminist Philosophy. She is enthusiastic and always excited to hear what you have to say about the reading. If you have questions or don't understand, she is more than happy to help. As long as you take notes, do the reading and think for yourself, you'll be fine. Also just lovely in general. Excited to take her class again!
Dr. Lee was very nice but oh my god her class was difficult. The whole semester was graded based on only 3 exams. And a few extra credit points here and there but it didn't mean much. No homework, no essays, which seems cool at first but if you fail the first two exams you might as well drop it because there's no saving you from passing the course!
In class Professor Lee is a delight and really brings the whole class together to discuss certain topics etc. However don't get your hopes up when grading time comes around. Extremely harsh grader and even if you write down exactly what she or the book says, you are most likely still going to be wrong. Only ever leaves "No", or "wrong" as feedback.
So she seems really nice and friendly in class, but she's a devil when it comes to grading tests. Your grade is only based on three exams, so there's little margin for error. Oh and she'll find a way to mark you wrong even if you put down the correct answer. Extra credit here and there, but it won't really help.
Professor Lee is an amazing teacher. Although you will have to read an extensive amount of chapters, class discussion will make it worth-while. If you read her notes and pay attention in class, you will get an A. The tests are more straight forward than my high school tests.
She is a very lively teacher. Shes also very understanding, so if you miss class and tell her for a reason, shell let it go. Make she you take lots of notes and also look at her notes on bolt as well.
Dr. Lee was a very good professor. I really enjoyed going to her class and found it easy to pay attention and participate. She is very funny and ensures you understand the material. I loved this course and you definitely take her again.
Professor Lee is so fun! I loved this class so much! She is funny, and she makes sure that the curriculum and what you need to know is clear. She gives you one essay and 5 essay exams. The questions for all exams and the prompt for your essay are all on the syllabus from day one. Def take her!!
Dr. Lee is a genius. She's so smart, it's intimidating. She never uses slides or technology, all her lectures are just her standing there talking. But it's not awful because she keeps it interesting. You don't have many assignments in this class so if you do bad on an assignment, it's hard to bring your grade up. Also, she's a really tough grader.
Dr Lee prohibits the use of technology and speaks for the duration of lectures. It is easy to follow along and she explains topics well. All of the exams revolve around the book so be sure to read the material. The only grades she gives are 4 exams and an essay. However, she is harsh when it comes to grading. Gives extra credit for participation
Pushes political views. Cusses. Unprofessional stories during class. Unprofessional social media presence.
Dr. Lee is a great professor. Be sure to engage yourself in her lectures and utilize her class notes for exams! The topic paper she gives you is graded a bit harsh but it's not difficult to do well in her class.
Very educated about all contents reviewed in class. You will pass as long as you go to class, pay attention, take notes, and study for exams. Could genuinely tell she was passionate about teaching and cared about her students. Fairly liberal
Dr. Lee is a difficult professor don't get me wrong but I absolutely loved her. You do have to go to class and actually listen to her, and when you do, she is smart about the way she explains things. First, she will read it how the book says it, and then will explain it in simpler terms multiple times. I will always talk highly of her, she cares.
Just go to class and pay attention, make a quizlet a few days before each exam, and read the readings. Easy pass if you try!
Dr. Lee was a great professor. I went in thinking she would be difficult but she's spunky and funny. She can be difficult and is lecture heavy. As long as you go to lecture, you will do perfectly fine on Exams. Everything on the study guide is exactly how it is on exams.
this professor is one in a million. she is an outstanding lecturer as well as a truly remarkable person. i would take philosophy with her over and over again given the opportunity.
Professor Lee's class is challenging but engaging. Her teaching style encourages critical thinking. While exams are tough, the course content is interesting. Unstuck AI was super helpful for preparing. Overall, a rewarding class worth taking.
