Very clear in what she's telling us, you almost feel like a 6-year-old with how many times she repeats herself, but it works. Her tests are harder than you'd expect but an A is still very possible. Nice lady.

Although the class was very interesting and sometimes fun, there is a lot to cover. Too many psychologists to remember plus their contributions. She won't curve your final grade. And exams are cumulative. Just prepare yourself to read a lot. Her extra credit work are only worth 1% of your final grade. Oh yea, and shes from Cali, big deal!

Great class. She takes what would be a totally boring subject and makes it interesting. It's easy to remember because she incorporates a lot of real world stuff in to the material when lecturing and she's kind of funny. Doing the assigned reading and showing up to class is really important though.

Awesome Professor. Take any class with her. She knows what she is talking about and presents material in a very clear and fun way. Who wants to learn about research methods? But she makes the class fun and entertaining. Awesome Prof., you do need to attend class for notes and need to study. But she is so sweet.

Dr. Quinton's an awesome professor. She made psych 101 every bit of fun that I would expect a psych class to be. Just to put things in context I'm a Math major and I still found the class to be a lot of fun. Just read the text once and read her notes thoroughly and you should be fine. It's definitely an A course.

The class was easy if you went to lecture and read the book. I am so upset the whole course I thought I was going to get an A, but got an A-. I was less then half a point away from an A, but still got the A-. Im still so upset.

AMAZING shes hysterical! On her tests the questions are worth a lot each but the extra credits right before each test... really helpful. Go to class youll understand everything if you attend. and skim through the book before tests the terms she doesnt go over but are in there are "fair game" and her in class exercises are helpful too.

I took professor Quinton's class last semester. You have to study to get an A. She is very clear with everything. Just make sure you write down everything she says in class. It's bound to show up in the exams. Textbook is compulsory too.

Extremely smart. Too smart. There's a LOT of information to take in for this class and the tests are difficult. There are in-class problems, so you usually have to attend class. Class averages around 75% almost every test except the first one. If you take it with her, make sure you study super hard.

This class is easy. There is a lot of extra credit opportunities and the material on the exam is not difficult. Go to lecture. This class does demand some time but just stay on top of the material in class and it will be a breeze.

Very organized. Interesting class. She give extra credit for attending class! Take this if you are 18 or older (I was 17, had to write 9 research papers, wish I could have just been in experiments). Easy exams, didn't need to study much and got a B-. If I studied a little more, would have done a lot better though.

One of my favorite professors a UB. She has a captivating and humorous lecture style that make the topics very interesting to learn about. Very intelligent professor with tons of knowledge of the subject. Very clear when explaining things. Make sure you read the assigned chapters as well as she does ask specific questions from the book.

Very easy teacher as long as you stay on top of textbook reading and go to class. Attendance isn't mandatory but there are occasional sign-ins which count as extra credit. Tests are all multiple choice, there's always two extra questions that count as extra credit.

Ive had her twice an Im her TA- amazing teacher, funny and GETS THE POINT ACROSS. Probably my favorite professor, and I like a lot of 'em. She knows how to teach, which is rare it would seem, and she's GOOD at it. Her classes aren't hard but they aren't easy As- you have to put in work but her expectations are reasonable and she wont fool you.

Fast paced lectures but you end up learning a lot in just 45 minutes. Overall, an excellent professor and I highly recommend reading the textbook because it reinforces what you learned in class which in turn makes you rarely study for tests . Definitely worth taking if you don't mind reading for about a couple hours a week.

Extremely intelligent and helpful. Her lectures are clear and interesting. Technically there is no homework, but you need to meet RPG requirements. The extra credit comes from RPG requirements, test question and 4 random attendance days. The tests are not hard, but you need to study. This class can open up a whole new world for you if you work.

Pretty easy course. Tests are not too bad if you attend lecture and read the book. 4 tests, all multiple choice, are the only grades. Extra credit is given for attendance and extra experiment credits. Lectures are entertaining and interesting.

If you need help, GO TO THE TAs. They are there for you and can make the class less stressful if you are unsure of the material. All exams are multiple choice.

Her class was one that I looked forward to go to. She used many examples to explain concepts (some funny). She's also very approachable. Notes weren't posted online. If you read the textbook, you should also be good. Grades are determined by exams RPG requirement (all psy 101 classes). Attendance wasn't taken, but EC given on random days.

Lectures are easy to follow ,interesting, but somewhat long You need to be present to get the information, she does not post slides. there's extra credit based off attendance. 80% of her tests are based off lecture and the other 20% is based off the book, but if you read the chapter summary and complete the practice quizzes you'll be fine.

Very engaging class. Going to lectures is necessary because she will not put the notes or powerpoint online. No homework other than showing up to research to take quick questionnaires that can also be taken online. Gives up to 4.5% extra credit on the final grade. I would definitely take a class with her again.

Took this course because it was part of my major. Ended up loving every minute and am actually changing my major because of this. Professor Quinton was phenomenal and made class easy to go to. Textbook is important. Just 4 MC tests make up grade but very obtainable extra credit. Great Professor.

A very good classes teaches very good that you understand but will be very hard if you don't pay attention or don't go to class easy 4.5% extra credit and you need the book in order to get a better grade though you can just use notes but it will be impossible to get a 100 if you don't use a book

Don't skip this class and be one of those people who emails the entire class asking for lecture notes. Tests are fair, with info from both lectures and the textbook. She's also pretty funny and attending class could get you extra credit. Just be sure to do the experiments on time so you're not scrambling to do them at the last minute.

I really enjoyed this class, however you definitely have the work for your grade. Quinton is funny, obviously knowledgeable and a good lecturer-she always makes class interesting. Both lecture and the book are important if you want to do as well as possible-she really does draw from both for the 4 exams. There is also extra credit offered.

Dr. Quinton was a GREAT professor. She really was part of the reason I changed my major to psych. I looked forward to every lecture. It was so interesting that it didn't even feel like a class. If you do have to miss class though make sure to find someone who takes good notes. Most of what's covered in lecture will be on the exams.

This class was as enjoyable as a gen ed class could be. Quinton gives very interesting lectures that are easy to follow and has many funny parts to them. Although the tests are difficult, if you take decent notes and study them you will pass with no problem. I would absolutely take her class again.

Her lectures are so straightforward and simple. Very clear to understand, and is a perfect introductory course. She gives out 4.5 points of extra credit, which is a great catch too. The only bad thing I'd have to say is that it's a ton of reading. You gotta read the book for the exam. However, study hard for the class and you should have no problem

Quinton is an awesome, fair prof. Must go to lectures, notes not accessible outside of class, but she is a great lecturer. Textbook reading is a must too, as exams are about 50/50 lecture and textbook material. Super straightforward and if you do the work, it's an easy A. I actually looked forward to going to class every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday because the class was pretty interesting and not hard to follow along. Make sure you go to class and write down all notes because the lectures are not posted. Read the textbook, even though it's a lot, many of test questions come from the book.

Dr. Quinton is by far one of my favorite psych professors I've had at UB (And I'm a senior psych student). She's very easy to learn from if you pay attention, she gives so many examples in her lectures that it's impossible to not grasp the concepts. This is the second course I've taken with Professor Quinton and she is the only reason that I'm sad to be transferring out of UB. You know what to expect with her classes. Make sure that you definitely connect with someone who is in class everyday if you plan on skipping as she does not post lectures.

Class was interesting and fun to go to. There are 4 exams and 25% is textbook material and 75% lecture material. I recommend reading chapter summary and the practice tests in the back of the book. Great lectures, make sure you read and make outlines of readings (readings aren't boring), there's some minor things that the book goes more in depth to than she does in lectures so the readings are helpful.

Had her for PSY 101 and got an A so I signed up for her again for 350. In her classes you must attend lectures as she doesn't post any notes nor let you use electronics in class. For 101, the textbook is a lot more important as she pulls test questions directly out of the practice exams in the textbook. Textbooks are recommended to get an A in both

One of the most heartfelt lecturers Ive had. She has a clear love for the material and fills the lectures with life and helpful anecdotes. Do not get behind on your textbook reading, its very difficult to catch up and you will need to know the material for the test, with are 25% textbook 75% lectures.

Dr. Quinton is phenomenal. She made me excited for class b/c every lecture was organized and straightforward. Tip: Don't read the txtbk (I never did). Instead, make quizlets of just the blue terms in the chapters along with the lecture notes. Take advantage of the extra credit (4.5 pts). Not an "easy" A, but very doable if you put in the work!

No homework, but only graded on 4 exams!! No electronics, all writing. She's thorough though and can be really funny. Her stories help you connect to the info.

She is a very good professor, almost perfect. There is a good amount of extra credit opportunities. Its a fun and interesting class. She has a lot of funny jokes as well. The only two downfalls are 1. While she don take attendance, she also doesn't upload the lecture slides and 2. Its a device free classroom, so you need a pen and paper for notes.

Overall a really good professor, her lectures are so interesting and even though i took it online this semester, i still felt very engaged in the material. Your grade is only based on 4 multiple choice exams though and theres small chances for extra credit, so stay away if you're not a good test taker.

History Of Psychology was my favorite class at UB. She did a great job of explaining everything in lecture! She is very responsive if you need to reach out to her. 4 exams and one research paper. You will have to read the textbook as exam questions come from it and they are not discussed in lecture. 100% take this class!!!

Absolutely amazing! If you want to pursue psychology as a career path 100% take one of her classes. She is amazing at explaining concepts and there aren't many assignments (if any) on top of the exams, so it's not overwhelming at all. Her expectations for the class are extremely clear and organized. Defiantly my favorite prof at UB!

Dr. Quinton is a great professor! Her lectures are very clear and she's great at telling personal stories. The class is graded based on 4 tests... but if you take notes in class and study those notes you'll do great. She requires a textbook. BIGGEST TIP: Do the practice quizzes for each chapter in Appendix A... she tends to put some in the tests!!

Dr. Quinton is a great professor! The class was graded on four tests, and studying the lecture notes and textbook thoroughly will prepare you for the tests. While attendance isn't necessarily mandatory, she does randomly check attendance for a chance for extra credit. Overall, great class and I would definitely take another class with her.

The only thing I didnt like about this course was only being graded on 4 tests. I think I could have done better if there was homework. However, Professor Quinton is amazing, I wish I could have her again. Her tests were tough, but if you put in the effort youll do good. I looked forward to this class everyday, I would highly recommend her

It took me a while to get into the flow of her class but I loved it. She has a very quirky sense of humor and is very confident.

I really loved her lectures. There wasn't homework except the occasional extra credit opportunities she gave. She made her lectures interesting and I found her to be endearing. She really cares about the grades of her students and encourages going to office hours. She actually cares about Psychology. She does however have a no devices rule.

Professor Quinton is one of the best professors I've had so far at UB. She is highly knowledgeable in her field and gives useful lectures. She truly cares about each of her students and gives excellent advice for a future in psychology. Her class was reasonable as long as you put in the effort to study as it is graded mainly on exams.

Personally, Wendy is one of my favorite professors at this school. She keeps lecture interesting, and her slides are always perfectly written in accordance to the tests. Wendy is also very funny and deeply cares about her students. The material is not hard, just a lot of info to memorize. If taking psy 101, you must pick her for the best experience

While attendance isn't mandatory, be sure to attend class because exams are mostly lecture material. Very great professor. Her lectures are interesting and keep you entertained. Graded off of 4 exams, which are textbook knowledge heavy, so be ready to read and do notes. Unless you attend lectures, read the textbook, and do her fair game sheets, you will struggle. If you do those things effectively, you're guaranteed a good grade.

Lectures were entertaining, you're graded on 4 exams (with curve). The exams are all memorization with lots of reading but she gives a fair games sheet on what specifically to read. You're required to have 9 research credits where you participate in research (basically just surveys or easy computer things). It's a tech free class so all handwritten

Do not be intimidated by the lack of lecture recordings, the ban of electronics in the classrooms, etc. She lectures in a way that is extremely easy to keep up with and understand, all you have to do is attend lecture and you will pass with flying colors

I liked Quinton's style of teaching. The class was funny and enjoyable. The class is graded on 4 exams, which are relatively easy if you do the work. She posts what parts of the reading will be on the exam a week before. Notes also must be taken on paper, but I enjoy it because it makes it easier to process. I would recommend this class and her.

Good professor. I wouldn't say you HAVE to take it because thats how good she is but pretty good. There is a ton of reading, and a lot of volume in this class. You should review for the exam like at least a few days before. Study an ok amount and you'll get an A on the exams. Good extra credit too.

Lectures are entertaining, notes are NOT posted so you'll need a friend in the class to give you notes for days you miss. The 4 tests are very easy if you study properly, which is good because they make up your whole grade in the class.

She is a kind professor that has very entertaining lectures. There's also extra credit just for showing up! The exams are a lot of memorization so you should take good notes and read the textbook to do well.

She is an enjoyable professor with a wealth of information she relays to the class. The class is test-heavy, which can piss some students off. With some hours of studying reserved for her class every other week, a B grade and above is attainable.

Great professor! I found that the exams were not challenging if you showed up to class and took good notes. Her lectures were super entertaining and I looked forward to attending them. She offers extra credit before each exam too. You can tell she really cares about her students and their success in and out of the classroom.

She is so so kind. She is super respected in my opinion. This class is not the easiest, but she 100% knows what she's talking about, and she's good at teaching it. The class was huge, yet she still managed to make you feel cared about. She's very smart and knowledgable, I totally recommend taking her class, especially if you want to learn.

Wendy is an engaging professor who makes lectures fun. The class is heavily exam-focused, so be ready to do a lot of textbook reading and memorization. Unstuckstudy was a lifesaver for exam prep!

She makes the lectures interesting, but taking notes and coming to the lectures are very important. Attendance isn't mandatory but she has days where you can earn extra credit by having "attendance days." It is kind of a textbook heavy course.

Grades based off four exams but she also gives out extra credit if you are there four attendance days and do extra experiments (up to three). Great professor in my opinion, she gives out tons of hints on what will be on the exams. She goes into topic with lots of depth and makes it easy for her students to understand.

She really is an incredible professor! Her lectures are thorough and well-worded and she makes sure to give everyone enough time to copy down what they say. Do NOT skip class unless you have a friend who can send the notes, because she doesn't post her slides, but you learn better that way. She also won't let you use laptops, so bring a notebook.

Overall a good professor. Whole grade is based off 4 exams but if you come to class and read the textbook you'll be fine. Only read the material listed on the fair game sheets, reading anything else is a waste of time. Lectures were good- Overall an okay class.

Dr. Quinton is one of the most amazing professors I have had. I took this course fall of 2023 and the inspiration that she wove in her lectures made me switch majors. HIGHLY recommend this course if you actually want to learn about psychology and retain the information.

This was my favorite class so far, and its layout is perfectly structured. Just read everything assigned, take detailed notes, and make a quizlet from those notes. For the love of god just go to class, her lectures are interesting and interactive and so helpful when it comes to exams! AND DONT FORGET TO SIGN UP FOR EXPERIMENTS!

Lecture was easy to follow, and exams were a fair level of difficulty if you did the textbook readings. Honestly, a great professor and very helpful outside of class. Definitely would recommend.

Awesome professor! Super clear and her lectures were actually fun. If you take solid notes, the exams weren't too bad at all. Most of what's on exams she covers in lecture, but you need to skim the book, too. Gives extra credit work before each test. You can tell she really cares about her students—not just in class but outside of it too.

Professor Quinton is the best in the department. She presents material clearly and is consistent in her exams and grading. She is friendly and inviting, but also a disciplined teacher. Good sense of humor too. She's amazing

Dr. Quinton was an excellent. She clearly knows what's she's talking about and ensures that with the right methods and willingness, you can do well in her class. There are never any games. She is also overall a very kind and helpful person. Highly recommend!

Had Dr. Quinton for Psy 101 and Psy 350. Her teaching style is very clear and engaging. Uses real life examples, making things easy to understand. You do need to study to do well on exams, but if you know the information a good grade is very possible.

Dr. Quinton is very smart and knows psychology backward and forward. Her lectures are easy to follow with great, funny examples that help you remember. The downside is that her exams are tough. You must study notes AND textbook material to get a high grade.

If you stay on top of the reading, take decent notes and study those, you'll do well. It's not hard just time consuming. She gives out lots of extra credit chances, and in lecture points out things that'll definitely show up on exams. She's also really entertaining. I looked forward to her lectures.

Couldn't Select More to say about Professor Quinton So I will Put it Short! She is Extremely Fair and You Get What You Put in! She's very humorous and makes Harder courses Easy to understand. But you have to Study! Even if there are cheat sheets or ECs, she always puts an emphasis on That.
