The class is very challenging just because of the material the class covers but Wendy is an excellent teacher to have for this course. She helps you out a lot and makes it a little bit easier to understand.

Great teacher!
The class requires alot of study time. Wendy knows her stuff!! She is willing to help if you ask. If you have questions, she is very responsive thru email.
Outstanding teacher, she knows what she is doing. The class can be hard but if you study and put in effort in her class you'll do great! Wendy is very helpful too!
The worst teacher I have had at HCC. She did not update course work to go with the new edition of the book. She doesn't grade work in a timely manner. She seems biased against one major theory in Biology. Quizzes have duplicated questions, so if you get it wrong, it counts against you twice.
Definately the worst instructor I've had at HCC. Terrible reflection on the college. Very unorganized, refers the class to her website and then is terrible at keeping it updated. Makes no effort to be prepared or even dressed properly for class!
Very intelligent and friendly teacher. If you read the book AND chapter outlines (very imporan t) you will do well. Extremely unbiased as well. Gives plenty of opportunity for extra credit on tests. I got an A, so can you. Does require effort, don't kid yourself.
I won't even call her a professor. She is rude and tacky. Makes unprofressional, opinionated comments of other faculty behind there backs. Let's not get started on her lack of teaching ability. Don't screw yourself...find someone else.
Good teacher, very challenging course. Your grade is determined on the amount of work you do. Here's a tip, everyone needs to make a study group.
Class requires a lot of studying, and consists of very challenging material. Wendy gives you plenty of opportunity for extra credit, and is very helpful if you have questions. Her website is very helpful as well. Forming a studying group is well recommended!

Heres the deal. If you're into learning a lot about the human body and you're willing to work really hard, wendy is your teacher. consider this, most people trying to get into the nursing program need to know a good amt of A+P, so if u take an easier teacher you're only hurting yourself.
Wendy is a wonderful teacher, takes her time to explain it to you. Lots of study time required for her class, but it's worth it. If you are a nursing student you need to take A & P with her.
This professor can't distinguish between classes for the science major and classes for the non science major. She puts a lot of focus on micro-biology and chemistry, good if you are a nursing student, bad if you are just taking a required science/lab class and only need general education. The online class has little flexibility in schedule.
Extra hard material, very hard A. This is not a lecture you can miss and do good in the overall class.
This is an extremely difficult class! Wendy is an excellent teacher. After the first exam, she met with everyone who earned a D or less. By doing so, she proved to me she sincerely cares if the student does well and is willing to help everyone succeed. I am actually looking forward to taking A&P II with Wendy in September! Take Wendy!
Rappazzo rocks! She is hard, but you learn alot from her; she is an excellent teacher and has a great personality. She is very helpful and anyone who writes anything bad about her is retarded. Rappazzo is awesome!!
Wendy is an incredible source of knowledge. However, be prepared to teach yourself everything. She gives you chapter hand-outs and uses lectures to go through them and fill them out. You are responsible for grasping the concepts on your own. This is a challenging class, but a good one. It is ideal for nursing students.
Definitely be prepared to learn concepts on your own. Wonderful teacher, but there never seems to be enough time to complete a lecture, then you're off to lab. Bundles of material to grasp . . . so study, study, study! ask questions, as wendy's VERY helpful.
Wow, after her class I think I can be a brain surgion!! Did I spell that right? By the way spelling counts in her class. All I can say is: you will hate her, complain, and even cry at night, but after her class is over you will love her, rejoice, and feed everyone you know with Anatomy and Physiology facts!! Wendy should have been a doctor!
I love Wendy! She is the best! I'm finishing up A&P1 right now. She is tough but she knows her stuff! She tries to be as helpful 2 u as she can and she suggests things like links,cd's & recopying your notes. If you do what she suggests & take time 2 study...U will and can do well! If you wanna go through A&P and know your stuff, then take her!!!
Awesome! Funny! You have to work super super hard! A lot of memorization but she gives excellent notes! Never miss a class! Study your butt off and you will do fine...expect to make this class your life if you want to do well!
This is the BIO 100 online class (with a lab component). It covers a lot of material. You have to keep up with the material and since it is online you have to have the motivation to do it. You have to put in 5-6 hrs. per week in order to do well in class. Make sure that you complete all quizzes/homework/and chats and that will help your grade.
She's a huge stickler! Gives great notes, but is too hardcore.
A&PII was the death of me. I have over 60 credits at harford and this was the hardest calss Ive taken. I am so glad I never have to take it again. As a side note for your consideration...if you didnt have Wendy for A&PI you might have some trouble with her in A&PII. She teaches in such detail that you need to know A&P material pretty well.
Very hard, but prepares you very well for the nursing program. Do not take her if you are not pre-nursing or if you did not have her for AP 1. She rocks!!!!
Wendy is a GR8 teacher and loves the subject matter she teaches!Does her BEST to ensure students learn the material they will be accountable 4 in Nursing Prgrm.Take A&P 1&2 w her or suffer later!Expect studying 4 this class to RULE your LIFE!Form study grp & expect to spend more time w them than family!Do WELL so you don't have to take it OVER!
If you have a family, dont take ths class! You are going to have to devote your whole life to this class. Teacher is very fast, I sugest you tape record the lecture. I was not trilled with Wendy, I should have taken shaffer. this women is the worst teacher I have have at harford and the hardest. the study qiued dosnt hepl, read the book!
she knows her stuff! study your notes, and read the chapters and youll do fine! dont miss a class and record her classes. i got a B in both A&P classes, not too bad. I really learned alot!
she was not well organized
Difficult material to learn but she prepares you well for your future career. Be prepared to work.
She is a great teacher!
Wendy is an awesome instructor. Moves quickly, but she has to cover everything. Record the class & copy your notes and STUDY. She is tough but very fair.
She is an awesome teacher. You will need to put a lot of time into the class if you want to do well. Her notes are very helpful. Make sure you print out the power points and make sure you record her lectures, she moves very quickly.
Hard, hard, hard, hard!! But great teacher. She prepares you and is not for the fanit at heart. Take her if you are serious about learning and not a passive person. You have to earn your grade with Rappazzo.
Hard, hard, hard, hard!!! But great teacher. She prepares you and is not for the fanit at heart. Take her if you are serious about learning and not a passive person. Do everything you can to study for her class- and yes that means reading the book. You have to earn your grade with Rappazzo.
The best teacher I've ever taken. She teaches you study habits and to work hard. This class is by no means easy so if u are lazy then be prepared to fail. Extremely helpful and really cares about your grade. I wish all teachers were like her
Wendy is a GREAT TEACHER! Wonderful at what she does, knows her stuff, makes you work for your grade! A&P will be your life for the entire semester, don't take it with other sciences or too many classes! When she says "learn this it comes back" she means it! She is an excellent person and wonderful teacher, she should be a doctor!
Took both A&P I& II with her. By far the best teacher I have ever had. The material is obviously hard. Know the stuff she teaches you and you will do fine. She is well organized and gives out great notes and study guides that tells you exactly what you need to know for the tests. I would absolutely recommend her over the other teachers at HCC.
fast paced but notes are terrific. knowledgeable and enthusiastic. also a mom so relates to older students as well as young traditional college age. would recommend.
AWESOME! She teaches kinda fast but she prepares you well! And yes she is very hard but its worth it! You will understand if you want to.
You MUST take her for Biology or A&P!! She is NOT easy, but you will LEARN. She's totally awesome! PLEASE take my word for it. Anyone else (save maybe Schaeffer) and you will not learn what you need to know! Great sense of humor, but doesn't put up with crap. Can't say enough good about her! Her notes/powerpoints/website are GOLD!!
Great thorough teacher who is passionate about the material and makes it apply to your life ...this is the first college class that I came out of and can really explain what I have learned....I loved it though it was a LOT of hard work and a LOT of information to absorb....also just an overall great person.
Best teacher ever :)
Amazing teacher best I've ever had amazingly interesting class very hard but Wendy made it awesome!! Would take it over again if I could
Awesome teacher! This is tough material but nothing worthwhile is easy. She is extremely helpful and fair. HCC currently has a few A&P teachers but she is the one to take if you want to really and truly learn and be prepared for nursing school. Wonderful woman!
I had her for bio099/203/204 and would not take anyone else. she is very good at what she does. Now she is hard this class is not a walk in the park but if you are going in the medical field get over it. she prepares you for any nursing or other medical related programs. she always does case study to relate the information to real life.
I had her for BIO 099, 203, and 204 and she was the best teacher I've ever had. She knew the content inside and out. She explains everything so well. She helps you as much as she can to learn the material. loved her!!
I ave never studied so much in a class before, but it was worth it. She is a great teacher and you will learn, but she will push you. She gives quizes in class but this also helps you for the tests. Lab is no joke either. I am about to take her again for A&P 204 and wouldnt take anyone else! She will prepare you and you will learn.
I had Wendy for AP1 and AP2. She is hands down the best professor I have ever had. Very approachable, and helps if you ask. Just a great all around person. I wish I could take every class with her. She really knows her stuff and will push you, but it is worth it.
AP1 is HARD but Rapazzo was such a great teacher. Her powerpoints and handouts are great study tools and so are all the websites she uses. I am taking her for AP2 in the fall and while she is tough and pushes you she is always willing to help you out with learning the material.
She is such a great teacher and knows what she is talking about. Anatomy with her is hard, but as long as you stay on top of everything and not cram, you'll do fine. She's interesting and always keeps your attention. She's definitely my favorite teacher.
This was the first semester this class was offered, and you could tell! The power points/lectures were unorganized and terminology was inconsistent. Felt like we were being reprimanded for their lack of preparation for the course. She was knowledgeable, almost to a fault; always adding random information for future A&P. just added to the confusion.
The single best teacher I have ever had. I wish she could always be my teacher! I had to work very hard for my grade, but she was always helpful and encouraging. I receieved an A in A&P I and II and an A on the HAPS exam. She pushed me to be a better student, and it's still paying off!
She was a good teacher who knew what she was teaching
Tests were extremely hard! If you can't put in 110% into her class don't even bother going. I had to drop it. Take good notes and study your butt off because she will push you.
Wendy was wonderful! Her lecture notes and online resources are so helpful. Yes, A&P is grueling, and you should not take it if you aren't able to put a LOT of time and energy into it. Wendy is very specific and demanding, and you will definitely learn. She's also great at helping to build confidence and teaching new ways to learn the material.
Love Mrs. Rappazzo! I had her for Bio 119 Hybrid & A&P I. She makes you work but she works just as hard to make sure you know the material. She is extremely knowledgeable and goes above and beyond to help students in her class. You will work hard but you will walk away knowing the material. Best Prof at HHC!
She's a great teacher. She knows what she's talking about and loves what she teaches. The subject matter isn't easy. Pay attention and you WILL leave learning what you need to know for your career. Hard class but great teacher overall.
Mrs. Rappazzo is an outstanding teacher. She really knows what she's talking about, down to the cellular level of EVERYTHING! She is a tough teacher, but if you make it through her class, you will be set for all of your other classes, especially in the Nursing Field.
This is a challenging subject, but she gives you several tools to do well and offers extra credit. She's very intelligent and knows her subject, so if you're looking to actually learn the material, Professor Rappazzo is for you! Work hard and put in the time. You'll succeed.
Mrs. Rappazzo is a fantastic teacher. Like someone already stated she gives you every tool you need to succeed and plenty of extra credit. It is up to you to follow through with the studying. READ the chapters, DO the work or you will have to retake it. Wish she taught in nursing school!
Mrs. Rappazzo is a great professor and absolutely knowledgeable of everything she teaches. Very tough, but if you make it through, you'll feel beyond prepared in any medical field, especially in Nursing.
Awesome instructor! Hard but you will learn the material! Always offering extra credit!
Absolutely without a doubt my favorite professor I've had! I absolutely love her. The course is pretty hard but if you actually put the time into studying and make a schedule to study and don't cram you'll do fine! I wish she taught nursing because she is so wonderfully helpful and knows her stuff. I'm excited for A&P II with her in the fall.
Best science teacher I have ever had. She kept class interesting and gave so many opportunities to boost your grade through homework and extra credit. You have to study this material with any prof but she gives you everything you need.
I took Bio119 Hybrid. This is one of the hardest classes I have ever taken, but I really enjoyed having Mrs. Rappazzo. She is very helpful and kind, and gives a lot of extra credit. If you do all of your work and attend the labs, you will do fine. Get ready to work though, because you will be spending a lot of time on this class.
I would never take her again. She definitley picks favorits in her classroom, and tended to always have an attiude whenever someone asked her for help!
Personally l have never had a teacher like this. very tough in grading. nothing that l did pleased her, l worked round the clock trying to finish homework, quizzes, and studding for exams, you cant have another class plus her class, you will not have enough time to study for the other class. sometimes l felt like l did not get my due points .
Run Don't take her
I took this as a hybrid summer course. it was Very challenging. Prof Rappazzo was a great teacher for lecture time and was very organized. Don't take this lass if your not ready to work. Overall I really liked her but her grading is off sometimes so pay attention.
I had her for BIO-119 and then for AP1, i got a B in first class, still taking the other class. I am beyond frustrated. I have been going to school on and off for 10 years, i am not a young partying kid, i work my butt off and it seems to not pay off. knows her stuff, but acts annoyed when asked questions and takes a week to respond to email.
My first time taking any classes a Harford; wasn't exactly sure what I was getting myself into with this course, but got exactly what I wanted. She has exceptional organization and provides a multitude of different avenues to learn the way that is best for you. If you put the time and effort in, you will do well. I learned and retained the info
I absolutely LOVE Mrs. Rappazzo. She treats you like an adult. If you are not ready to work- DO NOT take this class. The works so hard to make sure you have all the materials you need to pass and she gives you a multitude of options to do so. Stay on track and keep on top of the work and you will get an A. She lays out how to succeed for you.
I personally would not take Prof. Rappazzo again. I got stuck last minute with taking her hybrid course. She assigns a lot of work in a short amount of time. Seems like she refuses to give anyone a 100%. Will find some way to deduct even a half a point. Always talks about how hard nursing program is, not all of us are there to be a nurse!
Best @ Hcc
She is the best A&P professor. Lots of material to cover, which mean lots of work and hours of studying. I recommend not taking any other classes but hers if you want an A. That's for all A&P classes. There is just so much to learn in such a short amount of time. She however sets you up for success, with weekly schedules, and email reminders etc.
She's a very nice teacher who provides lots of tools for studying and understanding the material.
If you want to get into the nursing program do not take her. Take an easier professor to Get in. Students getting Cs and Bs in professor Rappazzo class are probably more knowledgeable in a&p than those getting As or Bs from another a&p professor, but Knowledge or not if u want to get into nursing take another professor.
I took Professor Rappazzo for A&P 1&2. It is not an easy class to get an A in. That being said, I remember mostly everything from her class and think she is the best one at HCC to take if you are interested in applying to the nursing program. She sets you up to succeed & to know you're stuff in nursing school. Would recommend her to anyone.
Wow, all I have to say is she is one of the hardest professors at this college. You have been warned. Her exams are extremely tough, even with a study guide. Labs are what you make of them, not difficult if you study. I don't recommend taking her if you have a job, or family or taking other classes. She will work you.
I took Rappazzo for 119, 203 and 204. She's fantastic as long as you are willing to do the work. She gives you absolutely everything you need to succeed & then some. If you're flopping and you go talk to her she is more than willing to help you. It's a lot of work on difficult material but it's important stuff if you're going into healthcare
Good and bad. First good, she provides you with tools to study (which you'll need because she over study's you). Bad, everything you learned is a go on EXAMS and she doesn't narrow anything down. EXAMS are extremely hard. You'll study for hours. Her class should be a 6 credit class considering all the outside classroom time you'll need.
Makes it close to impossible to get an A or B in her class & finds a way to take points off even if you follow the rubric. Tests are very hard & study guides are useless. A lot of the assignments are unrelated to the material. Most of the class felt our grades did not match the amount of effort we put in, which for me was more than any other class.
Mrs. Rappazzo gives you more than enough information to study from. She has exam study guides and practice quizzes that you can take multiple times. Her lab percentage is higher than her tests and there is no reason you shouldnt get at least a 90 on every lab. I took he class a hybrid which is not for most people. Her tests are vey hard
DO NOT TAKE HER SHE IS SUPER RUDE VIA EMAIL. YOU SPEND LITERALLY 24/7 DOING WORK FOR HER CLASS AND IT DOESN'T PAY OFF AT ALL. I WOULD NEVER TAKE HER AGAIN THE TESTS ARE RIDICULOUSLY HARD AND THE STUDY GUIDES SUCK. THE AVERAGE GRADES ON TESTS ARE 50% FOR THE WHOLE CLASS. SHE SHOULD NOT BE A PROFESSOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Professor Rappazzo does her best to make a hybrid course passable. The coursework is a lot but if you spend the time wisely, you can do well. Tests were difficult but she gives you all the tools necessary (take practice quizzes repeatedly), these are most of the multiple choice test questions. She gives extra credit and I felt she was very fair.
I took this class as a hybrid and she is very lecture heavy. Get ready to read and watch lectures for hours.
Professor Rappazzo is an outstanding educator. She provides her students with plenty of tools to do well in her class (pract. quizzes, outlines, study guides, chapter reviews, study tips). Hybrids arent for everyone but if you put in the necessary work (reading/watching lectures) youll pass! Shes tough, but prepares you for tougher classes ahead
Rappazzo is definitely one of the hardest professors here. There is an over load of work and even if you spend 15+ hours outside of class still not enough for the tests. If you want in the nursing program definitely take another professor for A&P.
Wendy is amazing, I loved her so much I took her for both classes. She's tough, but A&P is a hard subject. She expects you to know your stuff and won't hand out grades, but cares so much about her students. Her exams are pretty hard; she's rough on you because she wants you to be prepared, I know so much for nursing school from her class.
Okay this professor is great for really understanding anatomy. People say shes a tough grader but ANATOMY is tough!!! I have taken AnP one and two at another school and hated my professors. Wendy is a great teacher but you have to do your part and learn the material if you want to do well. She is very understanding and quite funny. Take this class!
Best biology teacher i have ever had! If you do what she expects than the class should be an easy A. I even signed up to take her again in another course next semester cause shes a very good teacher!
Worst professor ever! I had her for AP2 hybrid and I could not believe how horrible of a professor she was. She uploaded lecture videos last minute, did not give us the proper resources to succeed in this course, and was a nit-picker with grading exams. She does not take the time to make sure her students understand the material.
She is AWESOME and hilarious. I am taking her in the Fall for A&P 2 as well. I took her as an hybrid course & it was lecture heavy but doable. Its hard but anatomy is hard and if you want to be successful in nursing school, it is going to take some work! I like the way she explains stuff in lectures. Gives extra credit.
Anatomy&Physiology -The course was hybrid. She is an amazing teacher but she is tough and will tell you that. You will have to work for your grade. You must watch all lectures and the supplemental material in order to pass tests. She grades hard. Practicals you must study and spell correctly. Loved the experience
I took her hybrid course and was initially very intimidated. This class requires a lot of work however she made it very fun! Her lectures were easy to follow & understand, she also provided an outline to complete while reading the textbook. P.S. completing the practice questions/ activities she provides is helpful for the tests.
Please dont listen to the bad ratings about her, those people most likely did not put in enough work for the class and blame the instructor for it. I took her for A&P II which is already a very difficult class but she wants you to succeed and do well! She gives you everything you need to succeed and will help you as much as possible.
This class was a hybrid. Online lecture, in-person lab. attendance was mandatory for the lab. If you're not going to put in the time, don't take the class. She gives you all the materials you need to be successful. Very helpful with feedback and office hours. Once COVID-19 hit, we went all online. She provided online lab meetings to help.
Super tough teacher and not the best teacher to have online. I reached out to her on multiple occasions when I was struggling after a major loss and she barely got back to me. Super rude in emails and isnt really helpful outside of class, once you leave the lab/lecture of the week dont expect any help besides her sending deadline dates of the week.
She was very sweet and passionate about the subject. A hard grader but reasonable. I would definitely like to have her again.
If you do not do well on any one of the exams it becomes extremely difficult to pass the class. She moves very fast and does not give time to ask questions.
She spoke fast, went over the lesson fast, and it was very overwhelming. I felt as if the class was fast review and she expected us to know most of it. I would never take her again; I passed but it was a struggle.
Professor Rappazzo is an extremely intelligent professor. My class was hybrid and the lectures are heavy. It is ALOT of note taking. If you are not ready to put in at least 15 hours of work a week, she is not the professor for you. Very hard grader but does give numerous chances to bring your grade up. I do believe she wants you to succeed.
This was a hybrid course. She provided lectures on each topic. Tests were hard and very tough grader. However she provided everything to do well if you put a lot of effort in. You will not do well without studying a lot.
She is a mess! her blackboard stuff is all over, bunch of folders, never know which one to follow. one announcement say u dont have any assignment for this week bc u have exam, but there is Due date on things and u get ZERO! dont trust her knowledge you will be confuse whole semester and she say that is normal, but never notice she is confusing us.
If you put effort in you will do well. Provides plenty of practice quizzes and preparation.
She is very nice professor. you can tell she loves what she teaches but she grades ridiculously tough. You miss a certain detail on lecture you will fail your test. She grades heavy, she tricks you on on test. blackboard confusing and she is confused with her own work sometimes. Endless assignments. be ready
Had her for A&P 1 and 2. She tells you what to expect and what you need to do to succeed. Gives a lot of chances for extra credit, even if just a few points. She's VERY smart and you can tell she loves to teach. Keeps you engaged and uses examples during class, helpful with printing outlined notes and charts so you don't have to. Youll learn a LOT.
She gives you all the material you could possibly need and more. She even has a lecture on study methods. However, you HAVE to be prepared to put in the work. This is not an easy class by any means, and don't plan to skate by without studying. You should plan to go to the study room to prepare for the practicals. She is one of the best professors.
grades SOOO hard its ridiculous and always want specific answers and spelling for everything
Very flexible with accommodations and very clear in expectations. Lots and lots of busy work (manageable if you do not procrastinate), but every assignment is low stakes so even if you miss 20 assignments, you'll still get a passing grade. Easy to understand / access material, and only two or three discussion posts. Would definitely take her again!
