Very sweet and will explain anything you ask. Sometimes a bit ditzy and drinks alot of Diet Coke, but that's okay! She's still a great professor.

What does drinking Diet Coke have to do with how well a person teaches!? Great lectures, great personality, good sense of humor, great test reviews, easy tests (they're probably departmental tests). Easy homework, several chances for extra credit. Lots of talking during class though. It doesn't get easier than this! Don't bother buying the text.

She genuinly cares about her students. She is very helpful (and prompt) when you email her with questions. There aren't too many notes and they are very useful and exactly what is on the tests. She also offers a lot of extra credit...so if u arent a good test taker...it helps. I took her for 1050 and 1040 on purpose and got an A both times.

Dr. Watson is a very sweet lady. She always stays so excited during the lectures and gives good notes. Her review sheets pretty much cover what's going to be on the test. She does give a lot of extra credit, so it's hard not to get an A in the class. I wish I had taken her for 1050.

I have no interest in government what so ever. After taking this class, Dr Watson provided so much information and insight. I actually enjoyed coming to class to learn about how the government works. By the way, tutoring really does help for her quizzes.

She puts the powerpoints online, pre-tests are online, and workbooks are online. All you do in class is tests. I made it just fine going to class once a week (i had mowefri) because of all the info online. I recommend. Super easy.

Dr. Watson is a very good teacher! She's fun and uses analogies in her lectures to help explain things to you. All of her powerpoints are put online, and she is just very helpful in general. I recommend her completely!

Very enthusiastic! Tries very hard to make lectures enjoyable, and relevant to students. The reading is manageable, about a chapter a week. And the quizzes, and work book assignments are all turned in online, which is very convenient. Tests are pretty easy, and all materials are posted online. There is no reason to fail this class!

Dr. Watson made government interesting to learn about, the analogies made it easier to understand. Almost everything is done online except for tests and I'm taking her class for the 2nd semester as well. A very good class to take seeing that you need government to graduate.

Great professor! Makes a required class somewhat enjoyable and easy to understand. As long as you do workbook assignments and prep tests, as well as study for the tests, expect to get a high B/A in this class! Attendance not mandatory, highly recommend

Dr. Watson is awesome! Her lectures are just plain power points that can boring, but class debates always keep me involved. I hate the workbook assignments but whatever. Tests aren't hard either, just 50 multiple choice! Definitely recommend :)

The class is easy. Its an easy A, although I got a B. You only need to go activity days. The test are online which most people take in groups or with friends. We had one group project, but were supposed to have two. She also has 200 built in extra credit points. Easy A

Awesome lectures; really clear and sometimes funny. Even better-- lots of bonus points. It's really really not a hard class, (especially since everything is on line) but you CAN'T let points slip by, or you'll be scrambling at the end of the semester.

I'm taking her course this summer, (PSCI 1050)So far it's going really good. She seem's to have a lot of knowledge about how government work's it's role's/use etc. Having a good time so far in the course!

Professor Watson is very good at taking something daunting and clarifying. Her lectures are easy to listen too, but if you are lazy then it's not for you. Then again, if you are too lazy to handle this class then quit college before your too far in debt.

Really knowledgeable about political science. I like that she takes control of the class and sends out students who disturb the class, instead of just letting them sit there and act disrespectful. Workbooks are easy, and quizzes are semi-easy (you get 5 attempts), and the exams were difficult but doable. I would recommend her as a teacher!

Take home tests made it easy to recieve and "A" in this class. If you put a little bit of effort in, you'll be fine.

We used our clickers a lot in class. And that was her mode of taking attendance. She uses blackboard to post grades, and we use it to take our extremely easy quizzes. Her lecturing is clear and fun. Not hard class at all.

This class is not easy, but doable. If you come to class, bring your clicker, study, and do the work, you will get a good grade. Dr. Watson is a very good teacher and really helps her students. Even in a class of 500, she is willing to help individual students. 10 stars, would recommend.

I came into the class just despising the fact it was political science. I found it rather interesting, making the much bearable. Overall Easy Class and different amongst other classes I've had in terms of how things are done ex. group work, papers, projects.

TAKE HER CLASS! You will not be sorry. I dreaded taking the class but she is an awesome professor and she really cares about your success in the class.

Dr. Watson seems to know everything there is to know about govt. She's clear and fair and a great professor. The quizzes online are hard but you have five chances to make the best grade you can. If you're required to take a govt class take this professor!

Watson is such a great teacher! Her tests come straight from her powerpoint notes and she even goes slow enough during class so you can write everything down that she explains. She also drops one of your 4 tests and you have the option of not taking the final. Definitely take her class! She makes it easy for you to succeed in this course.

Make sure you get into a group of 3-4 to brief your cases or else it will be hard to keep up with the work. KEEP YOUR NOTES/BRIEFS ORGANIZED ALL SEMESTER. If you do this you will be okay!

Easy class, just do the weekly assignments online, its just a completion grade. All she does is put up a power point and goes over and explains it in further detail and she is very helpful about any questions that you have.

Dr. Watson is a really good teacher but her lectures can sometimes be very dry and put you to sleep because her voice is so soothing and she goes into to much detail about one single topic, this is only because she genuinely cares if you understand the material or not. She is very helpful and really sweet! If you study and pay attention easy A!

She is an awesome teacher. Lectures could get boring sometimes but it's government. What's exciting about that? Super nice and helpful. SI sessions were super helpful with reviews before every test. She drops your lowest test grade out of four exams. Lots of opportunity for extra credit and Learn Smart activities for easy 100s.

Great teacher! Super clear and easy to follow. Tests aren't bad if you study. Homework on Learnsmart is an easy 100. She offers a good amount of extra credit throughout the semester. Of course political science will be boring at times, but I would say definitely take this class! And the SI review sessions are really helpful too!

The class is okay, but I absolutely hate the group project she makes us do. You get put in a group on 10 and have to rewrite the constitution. She makes it seem fun but its absolutely not.

Capital Punishment Class. Dr Watson is helpful and knows her stuff. Class was super interesting. Lots of reading, midterm, final, research paper, and 2 small papers. You must have 2-3 hours outside of class to prepare for this class for reading, etc.

Good professor. Lectures are good, but can be dull at times if you're not interested in the subject. There are easy online assignments that boost your grade. Final exam is optional if you're happy with your grade. Easy course overall.

Wonderful professor! One of my favorites at UNT!

Dr. Watson clearly loves what she does and it really helps the learning process. She explains things very clearly and will answer any questions you have before, during, or after class. All of the homework was straight out of the textbook; it was all online. Attendance isn't taken, but the lecture is almost essential to pass the tests.

Everything is pretty straightforward. If you want to pass, you should TAKE NOTES NOT IN THE POWERPOINT! This is essential because even if you show up and take notes word for word she'll mention something not on the powerpoint that will be on the test. While it's not a huge portion of most of her tests, missing class regularly will affect your grade

She's really sweet and helpful Almost every week you had 2 chapters to read and take short mini test with or answer open ended questions. Tests are not extremely difficult but if you study (NOT CRAM) one should do well. HIGHLY recommend SI Sessions, especially if you have Hannah Horick, you're way better off!

Good professor and is very helpful

3 test's online, 1 cumulative final, 15 homework assignments, and a 4-6 pg paper. Sounds like a lot but really isn't! She gives great lectures and really prepares you for the tests. There is plenty of help for this class I'll be surprised if anyone fails. She has 3 TA's and an SI tutor. She makes going to class enjoyable. I would take her again.

She was wonderful and I actually enjoyed her lectures, she explained everything really well and everything that was expected of you was clearly stated in the syllabus. The tests were a little difficult but I still made B's and higher on them. I only did 2&12 pages with errors for the paper and still got an 89, so the TA's really don't grade hard.

Such a sweet woman I almost feel bad for never going to class, but she doesn't take attendance and posts her slides online so there was never any reason to. As long as you do the test reviews and use google on her ONLINE exams, you'll be fine, but you'll actually have to study for the final. There's one paper and weekly homework but it's easy!

Literally nothing but good things to say about Wendy. I have taken several of her classes and she is one, of if not the, best professor at UNT. Tests in this class are all online and I got an A because someone posted the answers to Quizlet. Awesome lectures, awesome person.

Dr. Wendy Watson is such a sweet and lovely lady. Absolutely amazing professor. I cannot express how much I loved her 3 hour Monday class. She is very knowledgeable and will help you with whatever you need. Go to class and do not skip her interesting lectures. I learned so much in that classroom. Tests are off the powerpoints.

Great professor! She was fun and engaging. She takes the time to answer every question, even the stupid ones about search and seizure. as long as you do the homework, go to class, and engage in the group project, this is an easy A.

Incredibly passionate and willing to discuss and help students understand the concepts. If you think Political Science is boring and a waste of time -take this course! She made almost every student care about the political system in some regard and wasn't afraid of being blunt. Amazing woman -I could switch majors if I had the time. haha.

The tests are online and theres online textbook homework assignments. I never went to lecture and still managed to get a high B. So, if you go to lecture this class will be an easy A! From the few lectures I went to, she was super fun and a great lecturer. Highly recommend her for PSCI 1040

Really liked Prof Watson, she's very attentive. I took this online so you can definitely get an "satisfactory" on all your assignments, but beware of tests!!! To pass the online class you either need to get a "satisfactory" all three of your unit exams, or a "satisfactory" on the final. I ended up only passing the final, so I got an A!

Professor Watson was super nice. Every week she emails us what is due which usually is: Webtext chapters and Packback. She provides recorded lectures every week over the material too.

She has been the best prof Ive had yet. Whether it was personal or pandemic related, she has been so understanding of situations and has been more than willing to work with her students when it comes to deadlines. She clearly cared about not just giving us course material but truly educating us on whatever was going on during election season.10/10

If you want a teacher that cares about their students and their well being, that is the perfect teacher! Ive never had a professor this semester, during a pandemic, that genuinely cared about their students except Dr. Watson. She is a true gem. I knew from the beginning she would be that professor and she was, and she's very understanding. 100/10!

This was one of the best professors I have ever had. She is very caring and you can tell she truly loves her job as she spends time to email us answers to questions she gets about political matters. I am so impressed with her, you can feel how good of a person she is when she emails the class. She is so sweet and smart, and I have learned so much!

Great professor really knows what she is talking about. Her test are really hard though, you really need to study. Not a very forgiving grader either, if she does not know what you are talking about she will mark it wrong. Lots of reading both in the textbook and court cases as well luckily they are edited.

Take her please. Everybody should get to take a class with her at some point. She is so good and her class was very entertaining. Nothing bad to say. Easy quizzes you can find answers for online. Two 3 page essays you get to choose topic its not bad at all. you wont regret it.

Best professor ever omg I love her class

I took this class a 3-week course, and I wouldn't have done it any other way. Her grading criteria are SUPER clear. Mostly this class is a lot of busywork, you just have to do it.

Two words: group work. You'll have to meet with your group once a week to complete a worksheet together. Not fond of the Packback assignments but, whatever. It's not that bad. The professor is super cool.

I took this class as a five week winter class, and it was honestly really overwhelming since I was also working a job at the same time. I don't think that's bad on the part of Professor Watson though. This class uses specs grading though, meaning the assignments you do are up to you, but an A in the class means you do EVERYTHING (which is a lot)

Professor Watson is a very good professor who truly cares for their students. The way in which they explain the material in a digestible way shows expertise both in their field and in instruction. You will have to post a question and 2 answers to questions once a week on a discussion board, which was my biggest gripe.

Dr. Watson's legal studies online class is one of the best I have ever taken. Be prepared to read a lot but as long you read you will do fine with the assignments and quizzes every week.

She has a very clear rubric on what you need to do to get a specific letter grade. In the middle of the semester, she even made it easier to get a higher grade. A lot of Workbook so get ready to read a good amount but it's nothing hard and just busy work. Quizzes and discussion boards were easy, and I did poorly on an essay I got a second chance.

Very clear rubric and despite no anticipated extra credit if everyone is struggling she will help with extra quizzes. Overall a super caring and wants you to succeed. I would take her again!

Oh my god. I love Professor Watson. She saved my butt. I got confused with the online textbook quizzes with the Canvas quizzes, and she was so kind and reopened them for full credit, within the last week of Summer 5W2. I highly recommend you take her course! I took it online but I bet if she teaches in person classes she's as kind and nice!

It's a really easy class. Weekly Soomo chapters, quizzes and Paperbacks (the most annoying part imo). The modules open up each week. Beware that the quizzes don't backtrack, which is kinda unnecessary...

Taken as a 3-week Wintermester. I was nervous, but this class was easy and manageable - I worked 30 hours a week & still had time to do this course + relax over break. The webtext was actually interesting but it was like $75 which sucked... She had videos that helped, but to be honest I stopped watching them after the first week.

Professor Watson is super understanding and makes the workload manageable. The recorded lectures and Unstuckstudy tools were really helpful for staying on top of the coursework.

I took this class online but it was relatively easy. You definitely need the webtext book! There's a lot of reading but its relatively easy to comprehend. She gives reminders of due dates for each week of work.
