Great teacher, very helpful, and overall I loved his class. Mr. Abercrombie knows how to teach. Tests are not very hard and he makes class interesting.

Great professor! In this class he lectures and you take notes from the Power Point Presentations. Tests can be difficult though, but otherwise he is pretty easy.

Dr. Abercrombie makes the course, which has the potential of being boring and dry, extremely interesting. I enjoy his teaching.

He was so much fun. You will take a lot of notes in his class but it is an easy A IF you do your homework and listen in class. I would strongly advise you to take his class.

even though i was really slack with actually showing up to class, i pulled a B out of, and when I did go to class I learned a whole lot. He keeps the class interesting, and knows a lot about criminal studies...

I have to say that he made the class very interesting. I was never bored, not once at all. I also learned alot. His test are very easy and the material comes straight from his notes. Highly recommend him.

Dr Abercormbie is GREAT!! EASY A and gives you 100 on all of your papers. Planning on taking more classes with him. I did take them online and had no problems!!

Dr Abercrombie was much easier online than he was in the classroom! I was stressed out the first time around, but I thoroughly enjoyed this class online even though it is still a very tough subject!

The Spring '07 class was a lot of fun. PowerPoint teacher. He tells things in his own quirky way and it was a real pleasure coming to class. One of the few classes that I ever looked forward to coming to. I made a B solely on the fact that I did not do the paper. Just pay attention, ask questions, do the paper and you'll be sure to make an A. =D

Mr. Abercrombie is a great teacher! I passed his class with a B+! if you pay attention and take notes well you will make no less than a B! His class is very easy he knowledgeable of the subject and the tests are straight from his powerpoints and he does reviews!!! I would take him again!

I love his quirky-ness. It brings life to a rather dull subject. His test questions and power-point slides match up. He's my last class of a long day and I look forward to it. He doesn't over-complicate the material; simple and to the point. I'd totally take him again for any other Sociology class.

Very straight forward. He teaches a lot of classes at one time so he was very good about giving out powerpoints as well as giving us the option to take our test in class or the testing center. I took his class Hybrid and every test was open book open not except final. He was awesome and I recmd you take him!

I loved this teacher! He was very funny and definitely kept the class alive. He dedicated an entire class period before test to reviewing and the review was the exact question that were on test. Sometimes he does seem to wander in his thoughts and goes off but always finds his way back to topic and leaves you laughing. Easy grader

Abercrombie is the man! He is a very funny and very smart teacher. He makes the class fun and makes learng hard subject easy. He will bend over backwards for you. If you take the notes and study for the test you will be fine. Ask him to pronounce Zaxby's!

Dr. Abercrombie is a wonderful teacher who is very understanding! He has a review day where you split up into groups and answer questions similar to what's on the test. The group that wins gets extra points on their test. I would recommend him to anyone!

He is very funny, and his lectures while they are long, he makes you laugh, and gives many examples to understand the material. He can be kind of harsh with what he says BUT he does it with a smile so it is ment to be a joke. His test and homework are LONG but easy. Only bad thing with this class is the way he reviews for his test. But still great

Abercrombie is a very entertaining teacher. He is also very relaxed, so the due dates for tests are usually later than he says. Many tests were open to complete until the end of the semester (dont wait that long, though!). The one paper he assigns is very long, however, so make sure to start research on it sooner, rather than later.

By far the sweetest most caring teacher I've encountered. He's very helpful and fair ! I recommend him to anyone. Nothing was too hard as long as you put in a little effort. He gets an A++++

Seriously take his class. He is the easiest professor I have ever had. We had 3 test and they were online. We never used the book, don't get it. He says we need it but I never used it. There's one paper and it's like 10 pages if you do it you'll get an A. The lectures are interesting and he's funny. Lets class out early. Show up and make an A!

Very easy professor, likes to talk about his past experiences and very funny. You will not be bored at all in this class and the tests are online, just study his notes and read some of the text book and you should be fine. Worst part of class was the ten page research paper, don't overcomplicate it and get started ASAP.

Has lots of extra credit. Very very funny. There was lecture days and you could print out the notes for class. Then you would do a group activity to review. Whichever group won got 5 bonus points on the test. Very understanding and cares.

Don't buy the book!!!! i made an A in this class without it. For my class all the tests were online, at home... I think you can figure the rest out ;). Not a single time did i need the book. He's very funny so class is interesting. Tests are kind of hard but again, online... at home. Oh and there is a term paper so don't procrastinate on that!!!!!

If you can follow directions, you will do great in this class. Makes the class fun and entertaining, tells you what you need to know and moves on. All the test are online and have multiple attempts except for the final is one attempt. Test come from material found in the book, so I recommend reading the chapters and highlighting important things.

Great professor! I would highly recommend him. There are weekly discussions you have to participate in for attendance & homework, but they are very easy. Tests can be tough but not unbearable. There is one paper that is pretty long you have to write in the middle of the semester, but again --pretty easy and straight forward.

Grading was done in a timely manor, communication was clear and consistent, assignments were easily understood, followed syllabus

His sociology 101 class was so much fun, he ties in real life situations into his lectures. As long as you read over PowerPoints youll do good on his exams. There is a 10 page paper due for midterms, but its a breeze once you collect all the data needed.

Dr. Abercrombie is a hoot. Taken during the summer. Lectures are super interesting & funny. Show up & listen, write down whats on the slides and ask questions if you don't understand. 3 Exams all have 3 attempts (online), 1 moderately large paper (9-11 pgs) & final. Although the paper was pretty long, read the grading criteria & you'll get an A

He discusses the topics thoroughly with fun PowerPoints. There's always great class discussions and his lectures are pretty short. His tests are very easy as long as you study and pay attention in class. He had all the class materials online which made it very easy to study. I would definitely take a class with him again if I could.

Mr. Abercrombie was the best sociology professor I ever had. Every time I came to class I was excited to learn about everything he had in store. His quizzes were easy because they were exactly the same questions you see in the reviews. The only hard part was the paper. Both exams were open book. I highly recommend this class if you want an easy A.

Such a sweet older man. Very helpful if you get behind, he'll also give you extra credit and just wants you to be able to pass. Runs through slide shows for lectures and will slow down if asked. He reviews through important questions before tests and he connects with the entire class. One of my favorite classes and his adorable cat is also a 10/10!

Dr. Abercrombie is a very knowledgeable professor and is great at getting points across.

This class was asynchronous & wasn't very hard. There were in-depth discussions and a quiz weekly, but not difficult so long as you read some. He gives 3 attempts at higher scores on nearly every quiz/exam. Be sure to study for the competency quizzes, those are heavy with only a few questions. Paper was easy. Chances for retakes. He's a real character. Really funny and makes his lectures interesting. Miss his class!
