She is very passionate about the subject. However, she is VERY strict about lateness and absences. She makes this class harder than it is. If you're ready to work in a core class as you would one of your major classes, then take her. Tests are hard. However, she might give you open-book tests if your class does bad.Take if you're ready to work hard in a core.

great professor. she teaches off of 'prezi's which is great cuz easy to review stuff on your own. she is very particular about lateness and absences. I got an A+ in this class. The people below me must not have went to every class to think that this class was anything but easy and fun. George is a very nice teacher, AND GIVES TRUCKLOADS OF EXTRA CREDIT. She lets you bring in a cheat sheet for every test. She gives you almost half the test beforehand. Easy A if you do the simple extra credit.

Attandance is mandatory. she give you lots of extra credits for attendance and it will help you for final exam. She is really helpful. But there is a lot of listening assignments and memorization. 5 quizzes and final exam. You need to memorize the time era and composer of the songs which she posted. If you study, there is an easy A.

Prof. George is THEE BEST! Loved her! Her style is super dope, and she's very nice and clear. She gives more than enough extra credit points just for showing up, no one should ever fail.. EVER! She is very sweet. Super glad I took her. Everyone should. A+ final grade.

Professor George gives weekly quizzes over the summer to test one's acquired knowledge and gives one homework assignment per week, too. She has a final but no midterm. Really great at explaining the basic concepts of music and fun to talk to! Interesting choices for listening samples and minimal reading.

Absolutely amazing professor. She assigns 5 quizzes and 5 assignments over the semester and gives practice quizzes before each quiz so you have a vague idea of what you're in for. Not only was she a Hot Professor, but she is very smart. She has a great sense of humor and she is by far the best professor to request. No matter how tired the vibe of the class is, she always have amazing energy level. She also provides extra credit for quizzes and homeworks so it's not difficult to pass. Also if you pass all the quizzes with at least a 90, you don't have to take the final! Best professor I had so far!

Great professor! She wants all her students to do well and clearly goes over powerpoint presentations during class. All her materials are also available online and she promptly responds to all emails.

Her character is such that she'll go out of her way to help you, but you have to WANT to succeed. She must spend a lot of time pouring over emails because she usually responds promptly (even when it's late!) She's savvy with literary references (a thing for writers maybe?) quick with a joke, and compassionate. She's a tough one, but insightful.

Took her summer class, few professors like her. In class she's full of enthusiasm, it's very clear she loves what she does. In terms of classwork it's very easy to follow, few notes if you can catch the main points of the lecture. Tests can be hard if you don't take the time to study the diff. songs and learn the terms. Love her style too.

Her course is not hard if you dedicate your time and put in some effort. For this semester all that was required was 10 music reports and you're given 2 excused absences. Here's a professor you're gonna want to take at least once in your life, no matter what subject. She's incredibly proficient in music, to the point where she could probably sell you any genre. Her workload isn't an easy A, but you won't have a hard time with any of it. Overall, if you engage in her class, you'll absolutely enjoy having her around.

Professor George is a true GEM. She's hilarious, yet still stern as she needs to be. She's obviously very serious about her work and is one of the most knowledgeable women I've ever met. No midterm and the final is only for students who receive a less than 90% on minimum of 1 quiz. so if you get over a 90% on all quizzes, your golden.

If you want to learn about music, you should absolutely take this class. There is a decent amount of work involved (5 quizes, 4-5 hw) but you will absolutely start to see and appreciate music in all of its forms, absolutely worth it.

Easy grade booster if you study the previous lectures. Homework assignments are easy but a lot of writing, no midterm, 1 concert paper,and most importantly if you pass 5 quizzes with a 90+ and you will be exempt from the final exam. She gives numerous amounts of extra credit and obviously loves her job.

You should totally take Professor George in MUSC 1300. She's a really caring person. Here's an insight of the class: 4-5 hw assignments through the semester, 4-5 quizzes, and pop-quizzes (depends on the number of people absent). There will be an exemption for the final if you pass all the quizzes. She also provides slides so don't worry about that.

Professor George was a great professor. I took her for my winter class and she was amazing with her lectures and her work. She only gave 5 Quizzes, 5 Homework assignments and 5 DB assignments. The lectures were a lot and some very pretty long but it was definitely needed to pass her quizzes and to pass the pass.

Extremely kind professor, really cares about students, & is very knowledgeable in her field. Very lenient with extensions, and if you communicate about your struggles she is more than willing to accommodate you. This class requires a lot of time and is A LOT of writing, the lectures are ~3 hrs long, but she makes them pretty interesting. Good luck!

I love her and her vibes everything about her is beautiful. Her notes made me crazy but I admired how she wrote a lot for us to pass and she really taught us to be responsible without writing notes which was interesting, I still wrote notes and studied yet shocked by every 80 or 90 I got on her quizzes also join her office hours
