Very good teacher. Knows what he is talking about. Very hard class but you will learn a lot if you attend class every time. He is a lawyer so he knows his stuff. He is very organized and makes class interesting.

He is super nice and a funny teacher too. Since he is a lawyer he can use real life examples and that helps. Even though the course is hard, it is very interesting.

If you want to learn a lot take him. If you want a good GPA DON"T take him. Class participation is HUGE (50 pts)so be prepared to voice your opinions a lot. Tests are hard. He curves in such a way that more than half the class gets C's. Take someone

Great teacher, hard class. make sure you read the book and go to classes. Put the effort in and you'll have a good time while learning a lot! Oh yeah, talk as much as possible.

Professor Johnson is a great guy, very very nice. His exams are very hard, you really have to know the material, but he does let you know what is on the exam. I had this as a night class, got rather boring after awhile. I would suggest taken him.

He only teaches night class, but I would reccommend him! He is very smart and knowledgeable about the material, make sure you talk a lot!! The tests are hard, so be careful. The paper is also really graded on grammer and not so much about the content, remember this!

Whitney is an extremely intelligent guy. His knowledge is second to none. The class is difficult if you don't study. If you take notes, study, and ask questions, you should get by with B. No matter the letter grade, you are going to learn a lot in this class. Originally I had no interest in Business Law however I now find myself fairly interested.

Professor Johnson is the best. Allows willing to help, wants the class involved and is very easy with deadlines. His tests are really easy as long as you study for them, go to class and most of all make sure you read the book. READ READ READ and you should do just fine.

I really enjoyed this class. It was required for me, but I am so glad i took it with him! I took notes during the lectures and reviewed them before the test, never read the book. Attend class alot of the material covered by him are on the test and no need to read the book then. Very interesting..Take him!!

very good professor, smart, intelligence and knowledgeable. his tests were not easy, almost killed by 60 long questions in 50 minutes. btw, read the textbook, listen what he says in the class and take notes then everything will be fine. grammar is very important in research paper. strongly recommend :)

A great guy, this class was fun and you learn quite a bit. It really isnt too tuff mostly common sense. I never used my book. Also he writes tough questions so know the material. Take this professor if you can.

Great all around Prof. Presents clear lectures, test ususally straight forward, get help on the paper assignment though that is the only thing that caught me up. If your taking BLAW take Johnson

Really good professor. Tries to make class as interesting as possible. Test can be tough, but not too bad. I have had both professor that teach marketing law, Whitney Johnson and Janell Kurtz (albeit for different classes), and I feel Johnson is a better teacher. Take him if you can.

Johnson is a really good prof. I do not find blaw interesting at all but he does a good job of making the class fun with outlandish examples and funny remarks. He is willing to help and if you have a hard time he wants to help you pass. The tests are pretty hard because they are very wordy for the amount of time given. other than that, easy.

does a very good job presenting all the subject matter in a clear and easy to understand form, tests are long- hard time finishing in time. make sure you go to the write place for the paper- he is a very hard grader for it!! i would really recommend him, a great teacher who is very willing to help you understand any of the subjects

Johnson is probably the best teacher offered at SCSU.. Super funny, extremely intelligent and makes the class fly by. This is the one class I actually looked forward going to everyday. BLAW 433 is an awesome class with him, highly recommend this guy..!

He is one of the best professors I've had. His class is extremely interesting! A lot of laughter! The first test is really hard, you should study for it. No need to read the book, only reference it. He's not bad looking either!

Very interesting, this is one class I actually enjoyed going to. Hardly used the textbook except for cases which were only 4 per semester. Tests were hard so its important to study up for those. Great professor.

Johnson is one of the best professors I've had at SCSU. His lecture is smooth and easy to follow, and he uses quirky/outlandish examples that are funny yet really help you understand Business Law. His tests can be very tricky, just show up to class and pay close attention. He gives hints about what will be on tests during lecture. Very good prof!

He was an amazing professor! He made every class interesting and made it so I actually wanted to go. He lets you know everything that will be on the test and has PowerPoint's with all the notes on it. You don't even need the book if you go to class regularly and look at the power points

More good feedback. This professor has many strengths. One is that you can tell he is passionate about teaching and law. His powerpoints seem to be updated weekly for current events, which is rare. Also, class is fairly interactive, and a funny guy. Work load is perfect. Tests are good, a paper, case presentations, and 3-4 tests. wish more like him

Very tough class. He is a great professor and gives very good examples but there are only 4 tests and 2 quizzes and that is what your grad is based of off. If you are into business and are good at it, I would take him. Otherwise it is a very tough class, I only pulled off a C.

My favorite class and professor that I have ever had at SCSU. Provides real-world examples that make learning the laws easy and interesting. If you have any chance to take this class with him make sure you do it.

By far the best prof I've had at SCSU. Can definitely tell hecares about teaching. 5 tests that can be tricky, but you'll do good if you study the powerpoints. Also 2 40 pt quizzes. Going to class is optional, but he gives you test questions. I ended up with an A and didn't ever do homework minus studying the night before a test. Def recommend!

This guy knows his stuff! He brings his knowledge to each topic he covers and likes class discussion when time allows. This professor definitely sparks interest in law for those who have never really thought about it. Breaks down test reviews by chapter with number of questions from each. Helps avoid spending too much time of small test topics.

Can't say enough about how awesome of a professor he is, actually sparked an interest in BLAW (which is saying a lot for me). Makes you understand the material in an interesting way. I was in a large seminar class & I've never seen another prof who was able to get everyone going on discussions on a regular basis. TAKE HIM IF YOU CAN!

Best professor I've had so far. Rarely can I sit through a lecture every day without daydreaming but he someone manages to make the subject interesting. Uses good real life examples to teach the material. Exams follow the lectures very closely. Tries to learn everyone's name even though there are 100+ students. Wish I could take him again.

i loved this class. i could not sleep in this class for sure. very entertaining and informative. very good class. debate, participation, 4 non cumulative tests, 2 quizes, and research paper. but he curves the grades so hardly anyone can fail. you do have to study though and participate. oh and always in a good mood

Awesome professor entertaining and informative. i couldn't not pay attention if i tried. no falling asleep in here. 4 multiple choice exams, 2 short quizzes, a short paper, 5 minute debate.

Loved this class. Everything he teaches, you'll actually need to know in the business world. He explains all the technical stuff, points out what's going to be on the tests and really only tests on what he presented in class. Case presentations were easy, too.

Cares about his students. If you ask a question, he will use examples until you understand it. His tests were a little difficult, but I got mostly B's. Easy grader for assignments. Two quizzes, four tests, no final, and two group projects (both easy). Take this professor! and don't buy book! Show up to class because he gives great examples.

I took him for Blaw 235 and he was such a good professor! I would definatly take him again! He gives two pop quizzes but he tells you a day or two in advance when he will give them, so definatly go to class! You can tell he loves what he does! He had tons of energy for 8am class, made class worth going to!

He is so passionate about law and makes this class fun. Tests are kinda hard, but if you read the chapters before the class, keep up, pay attention in class, and print out all the power points you should be fine. There are 4 tests, including final, and one presentation in front of class where you read a case and explain to the class. Not hard!

Truly a very knowledgeable individual. Incredible class, though he does tend to digress during lectures. I have an incredibly difficult time with his tests, but I feel that if you study regularly, attend class, and are willing to listen, the tests are probably a cakewalk. He is there to help, and he enjoys helping. I highly recommend.

Professor Johnson shows a lot of passion for the subject matter. The classes are very engaging and interesting. Attendance in this class will go a long way. Paying attention to lectures will also be beneficial. If you can follow the subject matter discussed in class, the tests are straight forward.

Great Professor! He made an 8 am class very interesting, and if you listen to his lectures the tests are super easy. I learned a lot in his class and he made it relate to real world examples.

By far one of my favorite professors. Attendance isn't mandatory but I would recommend it. It'll make tests much easier. Basically, everything he discusses are on them and make sure to look over homework problems. You should have no problem getting an A or B in this class. Great professor would recommend to anyone.

Whitney is a great professor he lectures quite a bit but tries his best to get students involved and hear what you have to say. Also very flexible and willing to change the schedule based on the needs of the students. Would definitely take another class with him!

Blaw 235 was one of my favorite classes just because he made it so interesting. He has a lot of experience and I actually enjoyed going to his class. Good guy, good teacher, definitely recommend.

You definitely need to be in class to have a deeper understanding of the material, he knows his stuff and is great at explaining. Just read the textbook and do the homework, you will get an A.

Great Business Law Professor. Relates to his students and makes sure they understand the content. Lots of homework but can but can know it out in one night. He's friendly and shares his past career with you.

Most interesting class, it will help you in the future!! Take it with him. He truly understands other students, I messed up on the time of the final and he told me that it was fine that I could take it during another time, he is so understandable!

Showing up to classes is not mandatory, but is all you need to ace the exams. Homework is due before the tests, not on a running basis. He respects viewpoints and loves engagement in class. His lectures are fun and he tells a lot of interresting relevant stories. Best professor I've had at SCSU thus far.(Junior atm)

Law isn't exactly an amazing subject. Professor Johnson tries to make it interesting and fun. As someone who doesn't love law in general, this class was pretty great. He's willing to help and is usually a generous grader on assignments.

Prof. Johnson is knowledgeable and a good lecturer. He was happy to help any students outside of class time and could answer any questions. Only thing I would say is that the PowerPoints were a little unorganized, making them less helpful outside of lecture but if you attend class and pay attention this class will not be hard.

You'll have to do cenage, ethics game, and some discussions. All of them are easy but exams are slightly tough but can be done well. Curves the exams and understands with late submissions. Really good lecturing prof. You won't regret taking 235 with him

Professor Johnson was very lecture heavy online, but gave test hints, strong examples, and personal examples. He also gave one group assignment and an individual assignment to do (this was on top of the online homework assignments due at the end of each test period). He's funny and very reasonable to work with. Ask if you need help and take notes!

Easily one of the best professors I have ever had. Exams are tough and he assigns a lot of homework, but the assignments are relevant to the exams and are worth while, not the usually busy work. He is inspirational and keeps his lectures intriguing by including a lot of real world examples. He is also extremely available to students.

In my senior year now so Ive taken my fair share of classes; Whitney is by far my favorite professor Ive had. He is very understanding, gives amazing lectures, and is very nice while grading presentations and will even help the presenter along if they struggle. if given the opportunity I would have taken all of my courses with him. He is the GOAT

Great and understanding professor. Cons may include being called on in class (zoom) but he guides you through. Exams can be difficult, but there are lots of extra credit opportunities for missed points. You have to work for your grade, but overall, the class is enjoyable and easy-going.

Many assignments to complete, alone and with another person. Fairly easy if you show up on time and pay attention. Accessible outside of class too!

Fair amount of reading and weekly writing assignments, expectations are laid out at beginning of course. Multiple extra credit opportunities, three tests with multiple choice and written sections. Fast response to emails/question. Honestly one of the better professors I've had at SCSU, even more so considering it was online.

This professor was absolutely amazing. He knew what he was talking about and was excellent at reiterating his topics with real-life examples. I will only warn that the exams are example heavy so showing up to class is essential.

Overall I liked Professor Johnson's class. There are two instances when you need to present and you must be very prepared because he will ask you the most random and detailed questions. Two written assignments, lots of online assignments, and three exams. Pay attention in lectures and read the book and you should pass.
