If you can avoid taking class with him, do it! He is hard to understand and his tests don't make any sense. He is not helpful at all and his lectures put me to sleep. Every class is the same. Lecture, break, movie a bit more lecture and then go home.

He doesn't teach the class-the students do! He also confuses the heck out of everyone in the class. He is unclear about exams, papers, and presentations! He is bias in subjects he should be neutral. He is going to ruin a lot of students GPA's.

DO NOT TAKE A CLASS WITH THIS MAN!!!! I went to all the classes and took notes read the book and failed tests. Ended up with a D. Very unfair and biased. Relates everything to the bible.

The students taught the entire class. All but three classes were student presentations. Guidelines for papers were TERRIBLY unclear. He is intelligent, but is not a very good teacher.

TERRIBLE, I know of a number of kids who dropped his classes due to retarded grading. He says read the book but he doesn't test on the book. He needs to learn how to speak better english if he is going to be teaching students who actually pay to be there. We pay for a good teacher, not him.

this man is horrible. first and foremost, he is very difficult to understand. secondly and equally as important, he WILL NOT repeat himself, EVER. he will tell you that he has already covered the topic. exasperating.

This guy is horrible i took hisitro to soc class in the summer and had to drop it because you can't understand anything he says and the tests are really hard....by the time i droped there was like 10 students left. HE SHOULD STOP TEACHING!!!!

I don't know what to say, I got the only A. The classes were 4 hrs long. I took it summer session and the first session he just didn't bother to show up. Other sessions we only met a few minutes or watched a movie. 26 kids started, 9 survived. I am an adult student with traditional good handwriting and grammer and it seemed to turn him on. Weird.

Soooooo Bad, He was wicked hard, and didn't care. He hated LE students as well, no good. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I expressed mine. :)

I droped it he is horrible i am in the class with another teacher Green right now and she is good but 3/4's of the class i am in now where in madzura"s class and droped it>

Yeah.. i'm pretty sure i studied and did terrible on the tests cuz his tests are crazy... but i made up a paper in like 20 minutes and got a B... wtf? It's retarded. His tests were on material we had never seen! I'm pretty sure a teachers job is to TEACH!! and he was very intolerant of christians.... kinda rude.

He cant teach. He should be fired. I spoke to the dean about this already. He doesnt teach from just one book; he'll pull thing out of nowhere. His test are poorly graded and put together. Do not concentrate on definitions in the book as they are not on the test. Horrible teacher and I already expressed my opinion to him during class.

a gruop of us wanted to ask for some clarification on the paper he assigned and he said that if he explained it to us then it would be him writing the paper and not us. this is bogus because all we needed was help with the logistics of the paper and he blew us off, he is a horrible teacher.

Do not take this teacher. The questions from his tests are so random. If you like things laid out for you don't take this teacher.

Well...true...he didnt really do a good job with our class..and from what i see...anyones class. but you can see that he is passionate about sociology and he wants to do what he does. i dont recommend him for anyone though because he is kind of a whack job. we had a good time on the last day before finals though!!

he is a horrible teacher. he comes to class very unprepared and gets all of his info from the students. if you speak up at all he avoids all confrontations at all costs. he barely speaks english and the tests do not make sense. if you want to hear the same thing everyday. this guy is for you. he only buy shoes from target that cost $5.99 on sale

Whoever that person below was that rated Mr. Madzura with all 5's must be a masochist because this guys is not a good teacher. It's not impossible to receive an A for this class but you better be prepared to do all the work and more. He is hard to understand but the worst part of his teaching is that the isn't prepared at all for his class.

Is is not a stereotype but a fact. This professor has over 423 complaints against him in the last 5 years. What does that tell you? That everyone is wrong and he's right? He can't teach.

By far the WORST teacher i have ever had.He was late to class and would laugh at students when they answered something wrong.Most days he would walk into class and not say a word for the first half hour and would just write on the board..he would never explain what he was writing...your just suposed to copy! CAUTION!!CAUTION!! This teacher was the worst teacher I have also ever had. He focuses on memorization of vocabularly, some I couldn't even pronounce & surely would never even use in my life. He knows alot about Sociology, it's just teaching it that he shouldn't be doing. We had 40 students w/ a class average of 63%.That speaks for itself.

The worst teacher I have ever come across. He was very unorganized the first day. I honestly could not understand half the words he said, because his english was so poor. He was very politically opinionated. I could tell he was very unhappy with America, and was anti-republican. I often hear negative comments from other students about him.

Very difficult, Tough grader, not clear on whats expected on assignments, not helpful. Just the worst experience ever! This guy had me thinking about quitting school.

2nd to last day to class he failed to show up with no prior warning. Last day,which was the final exam he showed up 25 minutes late. He was a really great guy but really was so disorganized and rarely answered emails. I still have no idea what i am going to get for a grade but am waiting to see if it's beneatrh what i think i am going to complai

I wish I would've known about this site prior to taking this class with Madzura. Like everyone else who have complained negatively, I too am having a VERY difficult time understanding anything this man is trying to say. He is all over the board, it's impossible to get any good notes from him, due to the accent. Overall, I recommend staying away.

Worst teacher I have ever had. Not impossible to pass the class, but you will only pass if you read the book throughly. His lectures are incomprehensible due to his poor word choice (not because of his accent) and filled with only Retorical Questions. Going to class is the most pointless thing ever but it is required for points. A very ignorant man

This class is the study of people and society, this teach shows movies from the 1980's and early 90's nothing up to date. If you want to study the CURRENT society and people in it avoid this class. You can't understand him and he is very one-sided. You never know when you have assignments and you CANT take any notes in class. Overall just bad.

He was awful!! Whenever you asked him a question he was rude and indimidating. Its too bad that he makes a class that should be interesting absolutely dreadful. His lectures where very philisophical and had no real context with the book.

He talks the whole class about nothing... Not to mention its hard to understand anything he says. He is unclear with assignments and makes you feel like an idiot if you ask him a question about one. I hated going to this class every single week, and would not recommend taking it!!

This teacher was very hard to understand with his accent. His exams were hard, and with nothing else but exams and 2 papers, your exams carried your whole grade. With no powerpoint to help with notes, you were on your own. Verbal lectures. Class dragged on. My least favorite class and my least favorite instructor I have ever had.

The other day in class he didn't know that the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor before the US declared war in WWII. Tells us that a paper is due on a certain day, then he doesn't show up, and makes it our responsibility to get the paper to him that day...no late papers. Assignments are vague. Won't answer questions.

One of the worst professors I have ever had. Unorganized, unable to use technology, his teaching is very unclear. Loves to ramble on about nothing. Also, you never know when things are due. His excuse the other day for being late is that he got lost in the building.

He is the worst teacher I have ever had in my entire life. I asked him a question about an assignment and he seemed uninterested, and he did not answer it. He does not forwarn about online essays for exam. He will not teach you what is on the exam nor give you time ahead of time for group work, he will mock you and use many excuses. Try to avoid.

Madzura has random assignments that he does not explain to the class as well. He also made the class part online AND DIDN'T INFORM ANYONE. If possible, take this class at a different school.

I attended his class throughout the entire semester. He is the only instructor that teaches the American Minority class. When the first test came, we had an hour and twenty minutes to finish it. Normally that is an ample amount of time, but he created a test that would take two hours to complete. There are other examples as well; go else where

He assigns homework off of google, not out of the textbook, then he tests you on knowledge that he doesn't teach you. DO NOT TAKE HIS COARSE, IT IS THE WORST EXPERIENCE YOU COULD HAVE!! He is the reason why people change their major.

Working full time, I had to resort to taking a night class. Madzura was the only available professor with a class time I could do. He is from Africa, and has a very strong accent, making it somewhat hard to understand him. When it comes to assignments, he is unclear regarding due dates and the syllabus is confusing as well. He gets off topic often

Avoid taking him at all costs. You have to write a 5 page paper every week. The tests are very hard, and attendance is required even though you usually just sit in awkward silence while he thinks of things to say about the chapter. Also he will test you on a 20 minute video he showed 3 weeks ago.

Only his viewpoint mattered, and he didn't take criticism well. Doesn't teach at all in class, and most of what you learn you have to read yourself in the textbook.

Nice guy but definitely not worth taking this class. A paper is due every week and his grading is all his opinion. Never got one 10/10 even though my papers covered his guidelines and his feedback. His grading doesn't even make sense and he can't justify it either. Slight teaching but we just read the textbook. There's a reason 1/3 class dropped.

There is a 5 page application due every week. This class was supposed to be a hybrid but he told the class he doesn't know how to do that so everything is insanely unorganized. More than half of the class dropped his class and right now the class' average grade is an F. He said no one gets a 10/10 because no one is perfect. Do not take this teacher

I would recommend anybody to take this class over the SUMMER, as you will only have to deal with it for a month versus four. The teacher himself is kind, but he doesnt give clear instructions on your assignments and expects you to figure it out yourself, because he says he doesnt accept emails. He is a disorganized mess.

This man literally doesn't explain a single assignment, even though we have one every single week. Yes it's just a five page paper, but you have no idea what to do with it. He explains the chapter after you turn in the application so it doesn't even matter.

I would absolutely never take any of this professor's classes again. Hardly went over the topics, was 45 minutes late to class and does not care about his student's success or education. I once tried to talk to him during his office hours and he was unbelievably rude, made me feel like I was just taking up his time. I will never recommend him.

Worst professor I have ever had. Supposed to be a hybrid class but doesn't know how to work a computer. Does not email students back in a reasonable timeframe. I have a terrible grade becuase I am unable to complete assignments that he did not post on D2L. I emailed him and told him they were not on D2L where he said and he told me to look on D2L.

DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!!!! Does not respond to emails for days, does not have clear grading criteria, never posts grades from assignments, and on the last day of our final that was due at 12 pm, he deleted his d2l page so there was no option for submission except email. A super stressful situation that never should have happened. DO NOT TAKE!!!

The professor does not answer to emails therefore, your questions are not answered. The syllabus was from a previous semester was not updated with due dates. You will be lucky if you get your papers reviewed before the next test and my FINAL was on chapters 11th and 12th but my books ended on chapter 10. He said "just search it." DONT TAKE HIM!
