Will is awesome! A problem people seem to encounter with him is that he's not explicit about what he's going to test on; he seeks a holistic knowledge in his students, and wants them to be able to do anything. Also, he advocates derivation over memorization. His philosohy is totally admirable. It worked for me. If you're confused, go to his office.

Worst math professor I have ever had. Incredibly unempathetic. The online course materials are nowhere near sufficient for the problems we are asked to solve. He is not forthcoming about what tests will cover, making it difficult to know whether you have studied enough. I was a straight-A student until this class.

He assigns a decent amount of homework, about 5 hours a week worth. He uses math in his hobbies, which is shown in the last section of the class with parametric equations. I liked him a lot, but not every student will feel the same way. Can be unsympathetic especially if you didn't do your homework. Tests are very straightforward. No surprises.

Linear algebra with Webber was fine. Didn't like that so much homework was assigned for credit, although he grades on completion rather than accuracy. The class was pretty average. Don't feel too strongly about it either way. I'd recommend though cause Webber is pretty cool.

I took Webber for 204 and am now taking him for 238 online (due to the state of the world). He is easy to get in touch with and makes online math endurable (great online teacher if you're dedicated). His quizzes and exams are very fair if you've done the homework (which he graded for our class). Math people - take Webber. Others - he's not so bad.

I've taken three Quarters of Mathematics with Will. If you don't want to do well, you wont. You succeed or fail on your own accord. He gives ample resources and opportunities for assistance or to "come see him if you need help or are struggling". Will is a great teacher and his fascination and enthusiasm for mathematics shows in all regards.

Online calculus involved several hours of homework per week with a weekly quiz on that week's units. There were several larger tests throughout the year but the structure of the class remained consistent. He was available to answer questions and offered zoom office hours. The tests didn't have options for retakes but the did drop the lowest quiz.

Online class involves one weekly quiz, and required discussion. Lots of homework but its not checked or graded. Three tests throughout the quarter which you can use notes on. Optional final to pick up grade. Professor's videos are super clear. Requires work but if you put the work in it won't be hard to get an A.

mans literally gives us lecture videos from 2014. he doesn't update them and to me they were unclear. there's discussion posts where you can ask questions but everytime you do that he'll reply with a passive aggressive "watch the lecture video" or "check the syllabus" like????????????? all in all. worst professor i've had at this school.

I took this course last quarter in the Fall and let's just say I am glad that I got it over with. I do not recommend this teacher if you do not have previous knowledge of calc....

I took Calculus 1 and 3 online with Webber. Each week involved watching his lectures, doing as much of the homework as you see fit, a quiz and a discussion. There are three big tests throughout the quarter and an optional final. He answered all my questions when I asked, his lectures were informative and the workload was reasonable.

This professor is not really good at teaching. He just relies on super old lecture videos and is kind of rude when you ask a question. Even the tutors at the math department don't like him very much. Overall, would not take again.

Taken Calc 1-3 with Will. There could be many improvements to his courses, such as the old lecture videos. However, he explains concepts well and is very passionate about the stuff. If you wish to take another professor for a Calc class at WCC, beware, as some other professors use Will's videos in place of actually lecturing themselves.

Love Professor Webber. He is super caring and accommodating to students. I never found that he was rude or passive aggressive. Lecture videos are old, but he is super passionate about the subject and will help if you simply ask. Quizzes and tests and not timed and instead open for 2-3 days which is great for a nervous tester like me!!

Extremely disconnected, hard to follow along and ask questions. Class structure confusing & disorganized. Spoke to him about being behind in the class and he was very discouraging. Couldn't understand why/how the accommodations I was asking for would help me. Everyone I've spoken to says he's like this and/or failed calc the first time b/c of him.

Get ready to teach yourself the material. His lecture videos were unhelpful. Told the tutors at the math center I was struggling, they asked who my professor was and I said Webber. The look they gave me said everything. Like, "oohh, yeah, that's why". Doesn't teach well or respond to questions promptly. Comes off rude when he does respond, too.

I don't know how to accurately describe how awful his video lectures are. He goes very in depth conceptually but doesn't connect it to how to actually solve problems. So you're left with a bunch of information that you don't know what to do with. The best way to learn the material is to find help somewhere else

Professor Webber is passionate about the subject and accommodating to students. Old lecture videos, but he explains concepts well and is open to questions. Using unstuck AI alongside the work can really help nail the material.
