the best accounting teacher at Delta and I am still saving a seat for you.
Very easy and understanding professor
Excellent teacher, very clear and helpful!
He assumed that you knew everything coming into his class.
Class is a nightmare!...Who ever rated him good is full of ****!
this guy is a blast
Im lost with him, and im a 4.0 student. This guy needs to realize that students have more classes than just Acc.
If you need to take accounting there is nobody better than this guy.
He is a GREAT teacher! He is extremely helpful, totally organized, offers extra credit, grants one late exam free, gives out midterm sheets, and even exempts you from the final if you have an A. Definitely take him for Accounting!
I felt that the homework should've been worth more points since it took so long to do. This class was difficult and it was very hard to get help from this teacher because he isn't at Delta during the day.
I had him for all the accounting classes he taught, i think he's a great teacher. he goes thru the materials thoroughly and makes sure u know it, whoever said they was lost, y didnt u ask questions??? hahahhah.....
I had a very hard time with this teacher. He gives huge long tests once a week. He marks down for format on tests and does not give format point. His grading system is very hard. All tests and handouts are handwriten, very sloppy writer and hard to follow
Does not treat students equally. Not a fair guy at all. Has no simpathy for those who really try and have a hard time in his class.

Gives super hard tests, once a week. They took my like 3 hours to take. Plus huge amounts of homework is due on top of that. So you make the choice. I would not suggest taking him unless you want a life outside of accounting!
He was fun, tells stories and jokes, and you still learn the subject.
I still have nightmere's about this class. He didn't teach the material well...it was very difficult to do well on the homework and tests because of the way he taught. Probably the worst teacher I've had:( He had no sympathy for students that tried.
Very unprofessional, all tests and handouts are handwritten, with handwriting that is not easy to read. I have dyslexia, and his tests were torture for me to decipher.
I had him for 211 and 212. He was great for 211, but for 212. Well, lets just say that was the most horrible class i have ever had to go through. He loads you down with weekly tests and homework that consume your life! Take Cameron for 212. Listen to me!!
I thought he was one of the best teachers I have had a Delta. Granted, you really had to work but he was always there if you needed help. I will most definately take him for 212.
Mr. A was one of the best I have ever had. It was a hard class but if you did the work, took notes in class and listened to what he had to say the class was easy for the most part. You got out of the class what you put in. I would suggest him to anyone
I would definitely recommend Mr A to anyone interested in actually learning accounting! I love the weekly tests!!If you bombed one, just study harder next week!
Accounting is a hard class in general. It can be very stressful at times. Mr. A gave weekly tests that took hours to prepare for. I struggled with all of my classes due to his teaching style. I busted my ass and got a C
Im still trying to get the nightmares out of my head! That class was my life for a semester. If you cant take a lot of stress then do not take him. Because that class is very stressful! Weekly tests that take on average of 2.5 hours to take!!!! AHH!
I have to take accounting over because of this man. Dont take him!
Why is this guy teaching CST-103? Does not know what he is teaching. He did not understand material, appeared confused a lot of the time.
Gives huge weekly tests that consume your life! Very picky grader on homework. This class is very hard to get a good grade in.
You will get out of this class what you put into it. Listen and DO HOMEWORK, and it's a piece of cake. DON'T DO HOMEWORK, you'll never make it. Wonderful teacher (best I've had out of 19 professors). Will take time to explain it ag. and aga.
I dont like his teaching style. Its alright if it's your only class, but its a TON of work!
I had him last winter and got a C. I worked very hard in that class and he had no simpathy for me. I never missed a class and did all my homework. I took it over with another teacher and got an A. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND HIM!
His class was very enjoyable. He makes every attempt to help you and is very patient. Great instructor to take!
Terrible teaching style. STAY AWAY!
I had Ankoviak for all of my accouting classes. And yes I had to drop out the 1st time because I didn't take the time to understand him. However, to this day I think Ankoviak is one of the best teachers around. I think very highly of him!!! :)
Very Unprofessional teaching style. All tests and handouts were handwritten and not easy to read. I would not recommend him.
Accounting sucks!...And this guy doesn’t do anything to make it any easier. Lectures are very clear, but tests are ridiculously hard and long!
One comment; take my advice!!! STAY AWAY!!!!!!
Makes ACC understandable. Easy to get along with. Easy A if you go to class and do the homework. Tests are not that bad. There are a lot worsee.
Noooooooooooo!!!! Make it stop!! He takes a hard subject and makes it harder by giving HUGE, I mean HUGE weekly tests that take hours to complete. I am failing, I study constantly! I got an A- in Acc 1.
great teacher take him if you want an A
This was the worst class i ever took!~ His tests are huge and are set up differently then the homework. I wasted a lot of time money and energy in this class. I ended up being 1% away from a C and now this class won't transfer. DON'T TAKE HIM!!
By far the hardest class I have ever had. He sure does not make it any easier! Very hard teacher, but a nice guy.
the reason I dropped out of school-'nuff said, it was awful
I have him right now and I'm going crazy. I cant stand his tests! They are so long!
He is totally helpful. As long as you listen to him, you'll understand. His tests are really straight forward and he tells you everything that will be on them. He's a graet teacher!
He is good for Acc 211, but you might as well find another teacher for Acc 212, cause you will work your ass off and get a C. Class is impossible!
Lets just say after taking him, i changed my major. He makes nothing easy in that class. The homework is endless and tests are a Bit**
Yes, he does tell you what is on the tests. However, the tests are impossible. They are way to long a normal person can not possible memorize all that information for one test. I am an accounting major and I would never take him again.
Very boring
Bill is THE best instructor. He's patient, caring, VERY funny, knows his stuff, always attends class, makes every effort to meet students schedules and give time to everyone, a great person and teacher. I would love to take him for the second class.
Teacher is a nice guy but the class is very challenging. The only good thing is he does tell you for the majority whats on the test. But their hand written and hard. You do have a test after each chapter
Tests are handwritten and very hard to read. Also, tests are like 2+ hours long and you have 1 a week they are very impossible. He was a nice guy, but he needs to learn how to type, handwritten tests at the college level are not professional.
He tells you what will be on the test. One chapter tests are MUCH easier than 2 or 3 chapter tests. Very clear, if you don't understand he will explain until you do. Homework was easier than 211 (at least 211 with Schafer anyways)
Hard Class.....Takes up every free moment of your life! Hope you have a photographic memory, there is a lot to memorize. Hold on, cause your in for a hell of a ride!
This class started out with Hoffman as instructor. He got sick so they brought in this yahoo who is arrogant, temperamental, unbendable, and extremely impatient. I'd never voluntarily take his class. Since I signed up for Hoffman and Ankoviak is taking it over, I dropped it like a hot potato! No thanks! Don't need to hear his yelling!
Ok, the personal things stated below are true. He is a nice guy. He is alot a good teacher. However, his class is unuasually difficult and time consuming. It was unlike any other class I have ever had. The work load was just unreal!!! Mr. A, if your going to give tests that are that long every week....you should let people work in groups, take home
I have had a very good experience with this teacher. His teaching style is very straight forward. I have learned a lot from him and would recommend him to anyone who wants to LEARN Acct. As for complaints about him giving too much work,I complete my homework in about 3 hours and it mirrors exactly what is on the test. Who would complain about that?
Excellent teacher!! If you don't understand it, he will explain it until you do. If you ask a stupid question, he will get frustrated. He doesn't have time for petty things. Pay attention and listen to him. Very kicked back attitude. Give him respect and he will give it to you. Homework is exactly like the test. Great plus for this class.
Ankoviak tells it how it is - straight forward and gives bonus points if you are in the class before the test - if you stay till the end. I thought he was great - ppl just like to complain. Just do your homework (3-5 problems), study those problems, and you should ace the class. He is actually quite cool! (I got a C and I NEVER studied!!)
Accounting is a very hard subject and Mr. Ankoviak really does nothing to make it easier. He is not flexable about grades and gives no extra credit. Expect no curve.
Prof Ankoviak is a very good teacher. The homework he assigns is just like what is on the test. The only thing that sucks is that the tests are like once a week. But at the same time its nice to be tested on only one chapter at a time. If you put your own effort with his teaching, you should end up w/a good grade.
Test you once a week. Yes, the tests are over only one chapter. BUT THEY ARE STILL LIKE 10 PAGES LONG!!! Hardest class I have ever had.
This teacher is the best accounting teacher that there is. If you take account and don't take him, you will work your ass off and not learn as much.
Ankoviak is a good teacher. Dont listen to that idiot in the last comment. You cant just listen to the teacher and expect to get an A. You have to put your own effort in to. I have gotten 95's and up on all my tests. YOU SHOULD TAKE HIM!
Well, I think of myself to be a pretty good student, I struggled with his class. The class is not taught at the university level. Homework is a huge part, which takes forever. I am at SVSU now and the Accounting department there is so much mre professional than at Delta.
I greatly enjoyed Mr.A as a teacher. He made accounting fun and enjoyable and I think we all know with accounting it's not really a fun class. I liked the fact that we had a test each week. It made it easier to focus on a single chapter instead of sorting through 2 or more chapters at a time. I recommend taking him. Great teacher!!!
I likes this class. Mr. A made it easy to understand. He will also help you whenever you need it.
Mr. A is the best accounting prof at delta. I'm an accouting major and his tests over one chapter at a time allow you to learn the material. FYI, all accounting classes are time consuming. It's the nature of the beast.
You HAVE to study in this class. No open book/note on tests. And a test every week. He means well, but goes through the material kind of fast if you're a beginner.
I did well in his class, I just wish he would stick to teaching and keep his personal life and beliefs out of the class room
"Mr. A" was awkward at best. The thing that bothered me the most was that when students did not understand what he was saying, he would repeat exactly what he just said. He would get frustrated to the point of red in the face and screaming on one occasion when he could not get the point across. He also talked about gay people DURING CLASS?!?
AMAZING Accounting teacher! I hated accounting and had never done well and with Mr. A I got my first accounting A. Mainly people who complained about him in our class were people who did want to put in any work or effort.
Okay Will is the man. Let's see. He allows you to take multiple test because all of the other instructors only feel like being lazy asses and grading 4 test - oh yeah and a huge packet. So let's say you will do bad on a test(which ususally covers 4 chapters) and get like a 50%. Your are screwed. So what will does is gives you options.Take Bill
He teach too fast, give a test ever week that's hard! Do not take this teacher!
LOVE Mr. A! He is a great teacher that cares about if you understand the material or not and is willing to take the time out of his personal life to help you! I didn't do so well in ACC 211 and am excelling in his class. Highly recommend him!!!
VERY helpful and easy to work with, just put forth an effort and you will do well in his class.
No quizzes but tests each chapter separately. Lots of HW/class exercise repetition but addresses content thoroughly; no surprises on tests. Participation is mandatory and you WILL be called on to present answers to exercises in class. ALWAYS ask for help if you're struggling because he can be snide if you're called upon and you're not up to speed.
He don't lecture at all but instead he goes over problems that will be on the test and even tells you what problems are going to be on the test. He just changes the numbers. He gives you a random word for 3 extra credit points for every test. If you study what he tells you, you will pass the class. And yes there is a test after each chapter.
He gives you a test after every chapter. It is really not that bad because the information is still in your head. He also does not lecture, he goes over the same problems that are assigned for homework and also on the test, he just changes the numbers. He also gives you a chance for extra credit on every test. I would take him for another class.
The meanest teacher I have ever taken, and I am a senior in college.
If he had been my first accounting professor, I would have given up on my major entirely. He was rude, targeted specific students to humiliate in front of the class, and was unhelpful in answering questions. He barely covered the textbook material but focused on the questions at the end of each chapter. I personally got an A, but he was awful.
I really liked Mr. Ankoviak. For his lectures, he goes through the problems in the book and calls on each student to answer, so always be paying attention. Doing the problems in class really helped me learn it. No homework outside of class - all grades come from tests. He lets you know ahead of time what is on the test. He taught super well.
Mr. A is truly a great professor. He has a good way of teaching topics. In this class, it is only tests. He tells you everything on the tests. Be prepared though, there will more than likely be one test a week. On the test it is vocabulary and problems. Super easy going guy and is truly a great professor. I would recommend him for ACC 212.
