If you are taking economics and you don't take Mr. Bratton then you have made a very sad mistake. He's easy to relate with, he makes the material easy to learn, and the class easy to succede in.

He makes Economics fun and interesting to learn! You know exactly what to expect on tests. Very clear objectives. Highly recommended.

Bratton is an awesome prof. He really makes sure everyone gets it & you know exactly what to expect on tests. I'm not an Economics buff, but he made it interesting & I even learned a few things!! TAKE HIM! You won't regret it!

Totally into making sure you succeed. He even has a sense of humor. Great teacher to take. I had him for two ECN classes. Was taking 262 at OU and dropped and went back to OCC to take with him.

One of the best professors at OCC Royal Oak. Makes a dry subject very relevant and interesting.

no homework, gives out study sheets and he does the problems for you on the board. the questions from the study sheet is whats on the test. 4 test a semester thats about all u get graded on, if you need help i found a good site amosweb.com.

Very good teacher, no homework, 4 tests per semester. All of the tests are based on the notes and study guides which are all worked out on the board. He makes the class fun when otherwise it would just be another boring econ class.

Covers the material well in his lectures. But his tests were all essay & drawing graphs, charts/tables. Though only 4,tests are difficult!It is a tough course.Wish I could draw graphs better-then my grade wouldve been better.

He is a great teacher. He gives A LOT of examples of any concept he tries to explain. He has a good sense of humor. Don't expect multiple choice exams though, every question has to be answered by a short answer.

Excellent teacher. good personaltiy, humorous. you can tell he really likes what he does for a living. go to the lectures, tests are a lil harder, but if you study you'll be find.

Great teacher, makes economics interesting. Had him for Microeconomics and saw a lot of ways to apply the material to real life/business...He's groovy, with his ponytail and purple tennis shoes...

EASY A

Professor Bratton did a great job! He was very clear and easy to understand. Economics is not the most entertaining subject, but he always lightened the mood with some well timed jokes. Best of all this professor gives out a study guide which he goes over in class. As long as you know the study guide you should do pretty well in his class.

He is a very good teacher but hsi exams are WAY too long. In the summer class, his exams are 8-10 pages with a lot of analysis. You will definitely need the book if you take him for a summer course. Other than that, he's really cool.

best teacher EVER!!! tests strait from notes. no need to buy the book, just study the handouts given to you and you'll ace the class

I thought he was a great teacher! Class was alwaus a lot of fun and you learn a lot. I wish there were more teachers like Bratto.

GREAT PROF! He teaches you so you will learn & YOU WILL. You can walk into the class with absolutely no knowledge on economics & do just fine. Approx 4-5 tests & he tells you exactly what to study & what will be on the test. Very nice man, & understanding. DON'T TAKE ANYONE ELSE BUT HIM FOR ECONOMICS!!! (you'll regret it if you do)

he is a great teacher!!!!! he is very helpful and stays after class to help you understand the material and his tests all came out of his homework and you do not have to buy the book because what ever is on the study guides that is all on the test... he is a great guy and very understanding.he is willing to help and he informs you about his tests.

Econ isn't the easiest subject to learn and grasp a concept of, but Bratton makes it easy and fun. He relates subject matter to current events. if you go to class and take good notes, you shouldn't have a problem on the tests. I didn't buy the book all of his test questions come from his study guide.

if you cant get an A or B in this class then you must be really out into space or something.

He is a very nice teacher and also very clear. You dont even need to buy the book, he gives you study guides and that is what the exmas consist of. As long as you take notes you'll easily pass with an A or a B. He's a funny, great teacher.

Bratton, though still stuck in his torpidly "fun" days, he remains very interesting. He uses dry humor a lot, but, damn is it funny. Personally, I had a 9am course, and it was still fun to go to. HIGHly recommended!

I took him for Macroeconomics and he was such a good teacher, so I took him for Microeconomics too. I wish there were more classes I could take with him, for he is clear and you know what to expect on exams. Great professor, highly recommended.

Bratton is an _excellent_ instructor. I don't know that the class is easy so much as this instructor has a tremendous gift for CLARITY, which is something I find lacking in many otherwise likeable profs at Royal Oak. Great sense of comic timing. Somewhat neurotic. I enjoy his nervous (?) habit of constantly pacing backward.

A GREAT TEACHER. An Economics teaching hippie- Gotta love it! He is very monotone (kind of like that teacher from southpark with the puppet, but doesn't say "mm-kay") which amplifies his humour. Very clear, he understands the subject and the whole class is about understanding the test. Pay attention and it's an easy A. Don't buy the book! Def. take

A very easy class, for an A all you have to do is show up to class, take notes, and look over those notes for fifteen minuites before class. No homework is given.

It doesn't get any better than this folks! I heard about this prof from another prof at another campus because the econ profs at my campus were duds! I loved this guy so much I took him twice & passed w/ flying colors! It was worth the drive! Absolutely no interest in econ at all, but he helps you understand! Made it very easy for a non-econ major

Whether Econ. is ur major or not, he is the perfect instru. to take class with. I was not aware of this subject. but he made it very easier. take notes and his exams r from his notes. No need to buy abook for his class. whatever he teaches wil be in the exam. U can get A easily if u study notes. Easy class with other harder classes. Awesome Teacher

I love Ken!!! Makes the 9am class fly by and always lets you leave 15-30min early. If you can't get an A in this class then you need to rethink something because it wasn't Kenny!! Great sense of humor too!

Mr. Bratton is very easy. DO NOT BUY A BOOK. Save your money. His tests are identical to his study guides. Go to class, take the notes, study a little, and get an A. You can drop one of your First 3 tests. I took the first 2, got As, skipped class, until the 3rd test. EASY CLASS. He lets you out early about 15-30 min. Gives you a 20 minute break.

This class was great. You don't need the book, just copy his notes word for word and you'll be just fine. Make sure to attend class, even though it's not mandatory. I loved this class, he's pretty funny, even though some complain of his monotoned voice. Worth taking for sure!

I love Prof. Bratton! He is very monotone, and has a black mark worn in the floor from walking back and forth at the board, but he is hillarious! He gives all the pertinant information, tests are hard. You really learn though, he has excellent presentation of the information. And as an added bonus, he is oddly attractive, inside and out! My fav!

Great teacher, will not regret you took him. Take good notes. If you have no clue to want is going on the book might be helpful. Study every day on the material that is given to u in class. Also do all the extra credit u can. Great teacher

One of the best instructors I've had. Attend class and pay attention during lecture and you can't go wrong. He explains Economics in a way that even the least interested student can understand. Gives real world examples and is even entertaining to listen to. Tests are are not 'Easy' but are straight from his VERY HELPFUL study guides.

Mr.Bratton is one of the best professors that I have had at OCC. He makes a boring subject understandable and interesting. He is funny, and has a good sense of humor. The notes that he writes on the board is all you need for the test. If you learn what he presents in class you will get a A. Cool Guy. I will be taking him again.

I love this class! I took ECO 1 with McRitchie and Mr. Bratton is a breath of fresh air compared to him! I love this class! I hated Economics before. He makes it seem to easy. Do not buy the textbook. Has a great sense of humor.

Easy to understand;fun class

Mr. Bratton is a great teacher! I really haven't used the book, however I'm glad I bought it. Attendance is Mandatory to taking the class without the book! Bratton teaches from handouts to study from and the exams (4) are taken from the handouts. The odds are for you in Bratton's class because out of the 4 exams he drops 1 and averages the grade.

Great prof. Interesting lecture especially if econ isn't your thing. Must attend, exams you will have to study for, fair grader. This is the must have Econ prof--trust me--took the same course with another prof--had to drop.

The best econ prof I've had. Is very clear on what you need to know. Test are easy if you study the notes. Drops your lowest test grade. Highly recommended!

People should really quit saying his class is "easy" because it's quite the insult to the instructor.Econ is not easy but this Prof. is extremely CLEAR which makes the subject much easier to handle.Cool guy. Prof. Bratton was by far one of the best teachers I have ever had. He has a great way of helping you to understand what he is teaching. There is no need to buy the book becuase his tests are right from his lectures and study guide.

It doesn't get much better than Bratton!! He gives you questions on handouts, then answers each question on the board while you copy the answers down, then asks essentially the same questions on the test. he teaches TO the test, which is helpful. The material is very interesting, too! Take Bratton!

He is a nice professor, his exams are very easy nothing surprises in exams. u can easily get an A grade. I strongly recommended, i took economics 2610 and 2620 with him.

He is a really great teacher. Makes sure all of his lectures are directly to the point. It is worth attending classes. I thought that I would be bored with this class but I actually enjoyed it very much!

If you want a good grade in this class do 3 very simple things: 1- Show up to class 2- Take notes 3- Review your notes a few times before a test. This class has no homework and is all test based, which is fine with me! He drops the lowest test grade also. There is 4 tests

Very easy class. No homework. Don't need the textbook. Old fashioned teaching style (handouts w/ lecture that covers everything). Very boring. Taking him again, it's worth it!

EASIEST CLASS EVER. I didn't score below a 90 on any of his tests. However he I think he needs to expand his wardrobe a little. He either wore the same black jeans every week for two semesters or he owns like four or five pairs of them...whatever he was still good.

Mr. Bratton will make you learn and appreciate the world around you. All you have to do is religiously attend his class and take notes verbatim. Everything he teaches is clear and helpfull. Really, there are no need for question to his teaching. Knows what he's teaching. TAKE HIS CLASS.

Great professor. He kept class simple and his lectures were easy to follow. Tests were done from a series of handouts and the handouts were directly tied to his lectures.

Great instructor! Don't get the book. He gives you all you need in his handouts. Go to class, take notes, study from the handouts and you'll be fine. He's friendly and clear. He is also funny, but you have to be listening to catch his jokes. Take his class!

Great class. No one drops this class, I never been in a class before where no one dropped out during the semester. Repeat...Don't buy the book,made it through class without buying it and still gotta "A". Taking him next semester for micro econ. Take this professor!!

Great experience, great teacher, you will love ECO and him by the end of semester. Extremely clear with difficult concepts and those crazy graphs. Got the book did not use it. His notes are so clear and informative seriously, you don't need it. Bratton's dry humor will keep you engaged and entertained AND you will learn economics, he rocks!

Prof. Bratton is a great teacher. 1) do not buy the book 2) you MUST go to class. Even though he doesn't take attendance you need the notes. 3) he tells jokes that are incredibly cheesy... and I love it. I skipped the 3rd test and all the classes leading up to it. Got an A- in the class. Take him for show.

I drove 45min to take his class after staying away from Highland Lakes Econ. I'm a business major and wheter you're or not you're going to like his class. He teaches right off of the study guides. No extra nonsense learned. Make flashcards as he presents the material. Then pull them out the night before and study. No book needed. Fun class.

Super easy class. His lectures got a little boring, but easy A. Cant complain about the guy.

Very smart, witty, and engaging. Thumbs up by me. He's not like most economic and business professors; he's a little off the beaten path, and that's something to respect in an era like this.

Seriously couldn't take it with anyone better!!! I was actually interested in EVERYTHING! The tests are easy...exactly the same as the study guides. No book is needed. Just study the notes and you'll do really good. There is no doubt about it that Bratton is the best Economics teacher anybody could find.

This class is not as easy as some of the comments may lead you to believe. However, Prof Bratton is great!!!He made very complicated economic concepts interesting & understandable. Try not to miss any of the classes and make sure you take good notes.

Professor Bratton is a great teacher. He is extremely clear and truly cares about the students. He wants everyone to do well. Book not required for this class, he gives papers with all the information taught. Highly recommended!

Great teacher. Don't need the textbook. Gives you notes for everything you need to know for his tests. His tests are mostly writing out definitions. So you need to study a bit more than you normally would on a multiple choice test. Super nice guy. Fair grader, cares about his students. I've already signed up for his ECON 2220 class!

Easy and very boring but misleads you on exam day. He told the class a specific number/chapters that was going to be on the exam and there was a few more chapters in addition ex. He would have us complete and study, study guide 3 and study guide 4 questions would appear on exam 3.

Mr. Bratton is ASWSOME!!! NO book needed. He gives you everything you need to get a good grade. A little boring but if a teacher gives you the notes for the exam I wouldn't complain. I love him!!! I am taking him for the next class.

This teacher is an excellent teacher. He is easy and teaches from his own lessons on worksheets. The key to success in this class is studying the worksheets and doing well on the tests. You may miss a class but make sure to have a classmate to get the notes for the worksheet you miss or you will not do well. He offers extra credit. Great class!!!

One of my favorite professors so far at OCC. He understands that his classes aren't full of economists so he keeps it simple but you can tell he really finds his subject intresting. Don't bother buying a book if you show up to class, he passes out a handout with everything you need to know for the test and goes over it in class. Dry sense of humor

Mr. Bratton is an extremely caring teacher who does a great job in his eco lectures. He makes them interesting and his sense of humor is great. I found myself laughing on many occasions. He is very straight forward with the material and gives you study guides for each exam. Great experience!

Very cool guy. The class is easy as long as you attend class and take notes. Your grade will be 4 total tests which are all based off of the notes that he gives, so if you take good notes, you will get an A.

He's very straightforward and his tests are fair and cover exactly what he lectures on, you don't even need to buy the text book. Show up and take notes and you'll do fine. He has a very dry sense of humor and understands not everyone is going to be super interested in the subject.

This guy is an excellent instructor. Class was organized by handouts; in-class lecture he went down the sheet point by point. Take notes, study them, that is exactly the material that is on the exams. It took a little work (and attendance is a must) but I got a fairly easy A and *I actually learned some things about economics!!!* Would take again.

I learned a lot from this class. it was a eye opener for me. it made me understand how financially the government works. he only gives you the stuff you really need in your life. he is not going to waste your time. he is probably the best professor I have ever seen.

Great teacher. Lectures each class, no book needed. Gives worksheets for chapters. Although my test grades sucked because i'm not too good at short answer questions when testing, he gives a great deal of extra credit to help your grade. Hilarious during lectures. I'd definitely take him again.

I find economics boring, as I'm sure many people do. Both micro and marco econ are required for my degree so I had to take them. I wasn't sure what to expect but right away Professor Bratton was calm, kind, and funny. He makes Econ as easy as possible to understand. No book needed, no homework. He is extremely helpful and explains things well.

Prof Bratton is the best. He made Econ very fun! Show up, take good notes, and you will do fine. Exams have no tricks and they cover the notes word for word! I studied maybe an hour the day before the exam and an hour before the exam and I got almost 100% on each of them. TAKE HIM!!!!

His class was such a breeze. I am not a fan of econ, but his exams are so simple. He gives you a study guide that he follows through and literally gives you the answer to each and every question, and writes it on the board. This class is a memorization class. I studied for a couple of hours the night before an exam and always got an A.

I really enjoyed going to Bratton's class. You have lectures each class, which he tries to make as enjoyable as Econ can possibly be. 5 Exams lowest grade is dropped. Exams are what he lectured on so take good notes. Food isn't allowed but you can step out to eat. Drinks are allowed. Breaks are given. Overall great professor.

I took Prof Bratton for Micro and Macro back to back, the man is a gem lol, he's old school, but he's so easy to follow. if you take notes from the board, you never need to crack the book, everything on every test is written on the board. Again, take notes on everything he writes on the board and you get an A. (you cant miss a class)
