This guy is passionate about anthropology and it shows! His exams are reasonably fair and based almost entirely on his informative lectures. And for an older guy, he's cute too! I love the way he pulls out his watch chain from his pocket (classically cool). A word of warning: BE ON TIME FOR CLASS!

Professor Breece is a wonderful teacher. makes class very interesting. test come right from the notes that you take in class. you really do not need the book for this course. i never used it and still got a's and b's on the exams. very nice guy.

Very clear, notes are practically mapped out for you. This is the second semester Im taking a class with him.

I thought I was going to hate this class but I loved it! I learned so much! Its amazing! Hes always there for help in his office and he always answers any questions! NEVER BORING!! Awesome teacher! He's very interesting, lets you know everything you need to know and makes it clear. He's a very cool guy and just loves to share his passion 4 anthro with his students. I highly recommend this teacher. The book just repeats what he said in class so it's not really needed. Only 3 tests which were pretty easy and a short paper.

Dr.B is a fab professor. Makes the class fun w/films and short tales of firsthand experience. Test is right from notes & some from book. Wants you to learn and to enjoy. He starts class on time & sends you on your way in a timely manner. If you fail its on you. He is more than happy to accommodate.

Hes a really good teacher he loves what he is teaching and is ALWAYS available for help. The tests are a little challenging. Most of the tests are true/false and fill ins. It was pretty boring at times but he would try to keep it interesting with stories of his days as an archeologist and stuff so you should take him if you want a good teacher!

He's easy and makes the topic interesting. You can get by without buying the book. All his test questions are strictly from the lectures. His lectures is easy to follow. He always seems to repeat himself to make sure everyone gets it.

Exams are based on in class movies and lectures. Exams are half T/F and short answers. Extra credit in short essays. No TXTing. Emphasizes on topics that are important. Covers last lecture’s notes everyclass (Good if you miss). GREAT instructor on a rather general, and boring topic. Fast C, Easy B, and Good notes and memory get you an A.

Easy class; textbook optional. Is very clear and organized. If you take good notes you'll do well in this class.

I thought he was a cool teaher. He tells you what's going to be on the exam and it's half multiple choice and half fill ins/short answers. You definitely have to write notes.

This is the best class ever! Prof. Breece is so great. Really funny and has a lot of experience. Take his class tests can be hard but he gets you ready to transfer. No homework and you watch pretty good movies. He loves it when students go chat with him during office hours. Highly recommend this class!

Dr. Breece knows his stuff. The class gets interesting later on in the semester. Straight forward tests (50 T/F, a few short answers, and an essay question). If you need to take Anthro, take him. Highly recommend him. However, do yourself a favor and pass up on the 8am class, try a later one in the day.

I had Dr.Breece for Archaeo and Anthro! Very interesting, helpful and passionate. The tests are fun to take, much better than just boring t/f questions. Sit up front and participate. You're not just another face in his class, he truly cares about the person. Highly recommended wether or not you take interest in the subject.

The best teacher. I am into anthropology and he just made me more into it. I wish I took him for cultural but I took him for archaeology. He is clear and concise and he knows his stuff. He does not trick you on the test. But be sure to take notes. Everything you need to know he writes on the board so make sure you write it down as well.

Such a great Teacher. I learned so many way cool things and I got an A even when I got a D on the first exam. He saw my improvements and gave me an A.

Dr. Breece is an alright professor. he could get kind of boring after awhile. take GOOD notes because his exams are all off of notes and don't miss class when there's a video because there is a 100% chance that it will be on the exam. umm as far as the book goes there is no need in getting one unless if you really love anthro:) he doesn't use it!

he's a very good teacher. it's a simple equation: show up to class, pay attention to the movies and regurgitate it back on the tests. i learned a lot of great cultural anthropology from this class. (and i even missed 5 classes and still passed with a B)

Breece is a really good professor. He'll teach you some good life lessons. He takes time to learn students' names and he'll answer any question you have. However, his class is not an easy A. The tests are really hard. He gives you 50 T/F, short answer questions, and an essay. I recommend recording his lectures. Its difficult so be prepared!

Take this class! I loved it! To do well, pay attention and take really good notes. The tests are straight from his lecture--you don't use the book. He has really amazing archaeology stories and his class has been my favorite thus far. He's also mysteriously charming.

I went to every class, except 1 & yes this class can be boring AT TIMES because all u r doing is taking notes, but believe me, just by u being there u r retaining the information he's teaching. Your entire grade is based on 3 tests, which are all from his lectures and films, so be prepared to show up on time and go to every class if you want to do well. I really enjoyed his stories and would highly recommend him. I learned a lot and looked forward to class.

You don't really need a book. Share a book if you must... he's a great and funny teacher that gives you the best lectures! They're very informative, so just take a bunch of notes. And as long as you're taking good notes from lectures and movie clips, just keep up your attendance too. Fun class! I recommend it!

The professor is awesome. He had just gotten back from an expedition when I had him. He is a great lecturer and always keeps you entertained. He kind of sounds like Mr. Mackey from South Park, which is really cool. As long as you take good notes and actually watch the movies(there will be questions from them.), then you'll get an A. He is AWESOME!

Archaeology was the second class I have taken with Dr. Breece. I still love him as a teacher. You learn so much, I recommend at least being interested in learning archaeology though. Basically write down everything he puts on the board, study it in a way where you can remember the material without looking back. Ask questions, it helps your grade!

i enjoyed his class and he made everything very understandable. i didn't even purchase the book because all of his test questions come from his lecture notes and the videos you watch. as long as u study the notes and write down everything he writes, and have a brain, there's no way you can fail. I really liked him as a teacher, very approachable

I took his Archeology class last semester. Awesome instructor. Very knowledgeable! Unfortunately I didn't pass, but it's not the instructor's fault--i dont test well sometimes! Ill be taking his class again which Im REALLY looking forward to. If your going into Anthropology its a good class to take-very interesting even if your not an anthro major.

I took Breece for Cultural & Archaeo. He is the reason why I absolutely love my major. He's adorable, knowledgable, helpful, & truly prepares you for Anthro at a University. There are 3 tests, you don't need the book, & if you take good notes, you'll get an A easily. He takes the time to learn everyone's names. DON'T SKIP CLASS!

This was one of the best, most rewarding classes I have ever taken. It was also one of the most difficult. Tests are mostly fill-in-the-blank and you have to write an essay at the end of each exam. Just show up to class & study. He's really an AWESOME guy & the things you learn in class will stick with you forever. It's very thought-provoking.

I took him for my first semester. Got an A. He's pretty easy. You don't really use your book. I could say I used it less than 15 times the entire semester, and only for short terms. Just take good notes, and study for the exams semi-thoroughly. You should get an A. It worked for me. There are only three exams in the class, make sure you kill them!

He is very helpful, and mostly lectures. No reading from the book in class, but helpful to study for tests from the book. Requires accuracy when listing names and places so attention to detail is a must. Attendance is necessary. The information from films and clips is necessary to pass the tests so you should not miss class.

Super easy prof. Only 3 exams which are all based on the notes u take during his lectures. Taking good notes including info from the videos is the key to get an A in his class. It worked for me. Just spent an hour going over the notes and got an A, quite easy.

Very knowledgeable professor. don't be shy if you want to say something (he's becoming more and more deaf). Pay attention to what he says, take good notes (even from videos) and you'll do well. It's easier if you're already interested in the subject, but as long as you keep an open mind, this'll become interesting.

This guy was an awesome teacher--extremely interesting! It was a bit difficult to get an A because he has a mixture of mult choice, T/F, short answer & essay questions on the exams. If you study the notes & pay close attention in class, you should do fine. I felt he was a little scattered at times, so I recommend organizing your notes after class.

this class was work to get an A in for sure. If you're taking an Anthro class just for GE requirements, you may want to choose another professor because he loads you up with information and holds you responsible for a lot more than other professors might. his tests are fairly challenging, and there's no extra credit. have to go to all classes.

He is a very interesting man, very informative and somewhat funny. He gives a textbook but does not use it in class, and the older editions are much cheaper and have the same info. His test are worded in a way that may be hard to understand. He only gives 3 test, no hw and no extra credit. so basically if you pass the test you pass the class

Breece is such a knowledgable and friendly man! As long as you take good notes and actually study for the test, you'll be fine. You won't need the book, it's in the library on reserve if anything. On the exam (3 that make up your entire grade): tricky true/false but if you can answer the free response questions, it'll help a lot.

Three exams. True/False, Fill in the blank, Short answer, and last two tests have an essay question. No homework. Take notes. Use book for definitions of key words. Strict with attendance. Pay attention or at least look as if you are listening. Very interesting stories and easy to learn from. A very great teacher to have. Recommend 5/5.

William is a cool guy. Classes can be boring sometimes, but take good notes and you'll do fine! The subject is pretty interesting. Again: TAKE NOTES! There are 3 tests and no extra credit. Each test has 45 t/f questions,and the rest are short answers and one half page essay worth 6 points.

He is really awesome, I loved his class and him! I think I got an A because I showed up to class (being there for the films is really important) and reading every assignment he gave us really thoroughly. flashcards for the tests are key! Do all your film and attribute sheets and your golden! Its an awesome class, I loved it, highly recommend.

hes a good teacher and likes what he does. doesnt always explain things the best and kind of throws you to the wolves with his tests. no homework or extra credit so its based off three tests. id look for other teachers but dont be afraid to take him. tests are 12 short answers 12 scantron. final is cumulative so good luck.

Mr Breece is very clear about his lectures, anything you learned in class, it will be in your exam, there is no surprises. his film take YOU somewhere in the world without leaving OCC and you know how it is when you have a load of classes, this take the stress away , this is cool to see different cultures. I will definitely recommend his class!

I'm a big procrastinator, so take it from me..I recommend his class. He has no powerpoints, but his lectures aren't boring. What you learn in anthro is already interesting. All you have to do to pass is take good notes. He is organized & emphasizes what will be on the test in his lectures. So, put in some effort to remember the material. TAKE HIM!

He tells you right away that almost all the test material will come from the lecture. And he was right! So take very meticulous notes and be there everyday to catch every word. Textbook is not necessary but does help to clarify a bit but nearly everything is explained in the lectures. And, He can be comically hard of hearing so SPEAK UP!

I took William Breece for Intro to Anthropology, and his class is disliked by some people for actually taking work. However this is a very good class for understanding that studying, and good note-taking goes very far. Only 3 Exams which you are graded on, but as for the professor himself, he is a very kind and motivated teacher who loves his field
