this guy is a joke he will spend class time just casualy talking to 200 students about thier dating life. he tires to make the class fun and intresting and it is. however he makes it intrseting by going off topic and just telling random stories.

loves his job and relates things talked about in class with his own stories... gives you test bank online with every possible answer he could ask about a chapter - it totals 125 per chapter so you gotta spend time figuring out the answers

He's really good and easy. He gives you a test bank and all the essay questions before each test. If you do them you'll make a high A!

Great teacher! I would recommend going to the lectures because that is where the essay question answers are discussed. It is fairly interesting and he is an interesting guy. The tests are so easy if you answer all the questions he gives you! Easy A!

He's something alright.

One of the best teachers I've ever had!! He has a obvious passion for teaching and student's learning. Only class I actually WANTED to go to and I enjoyed every minute of it. Very interesting, motivational, and inspirational. He makes learning fun!

Not a breeze like some reviews make the class out to be. Review sheets are ridiculously too long, very time consuming. Buskist is a great teacher though with true teaching skills. Don't take this class unless you can devote a lot of time to studying.

This is not an easy A course. He does give practice tests which are about 20 pages long and 200 questions. One per week almost. Definitely need time to devote to studying. He does not round nor does he scale. Go to the lectures, they definitely help.

Awesome Teacher!

Very easy class.

He has been my favorite teacher so far at Auburn. He teaches the class very well and gives a ton of extra credit. I made a 60 something on my first test but by the end of the semester I pulled it up to an A and didn't even have to take the final.

Wonderful teacher. He really enjoys teaching and truly cares about all of his students. The practice sheets are extrememly helpful, but time consuming. My suggestion is to find someone who has had his class, and get their packets. I highly suggest it!

He is a very interesting professor. Go to his lectures. They are not boring and 50% of the test comes from them. Get a study group together and do your reading. Do the study questions he puts on the web. They are the exact questions he'll use on the test.

Aww! He is a cute teacher! He helps you out when you need help and I would consider him! You will enjoy his class!

If you have him as a professor you are lucky! I absolutely loved him and his class! He is very interesting & i actually liked going to class, which is extremely uncommon. he jokes around w/ the students & is always willing to help out in any way. basic point: If you dont have him... get him!

He was a great teacher. You have to read and study for the quizes and tests because he does not go over everything that is in the chapter, but he is very interesting and puts the information in story format. He also gives you lots of bonus point opportunities. I highly recomend him as a teacher.

He's a great teacher. Aproachable and funny. You have to read the book and study to do well, but his lectures are fun to listen to, even though they really don't help you ace tests. You'll learn alot though!

I never went to the lectures, but read the book and received the highest grade in the class due to extra credit and the fact that the test come straight from the book. Read the book, only go to the lectures for entertainment purposes!

My favorite teacher here so far- the lectures are really interesting, even though it's not necessary to go to class. The essay questions come from the GTAs, so go to those classes. Tons of extra credit, and the vocab quizes are easy too. GREAT teacher and an easy A!

A very hard class and takes alot of time. You have a quiz or test every Friday and some Wednesdays...that's the only down side! He is very interesting!! Try to get the GTA Kristin Cullen..she is awsome at explaining things.

BEST PROFESSOR AT AUBURN!!! this guy is fun, coherant, and knows exactly what he's talking about. the class is intensive so just understand that you're going to have to study, but you can get up to 70 bonus points by doing basically nothing. take this class even if you dont have to!

Great Teacher but the class is tough. The quizzes are pretty detail and although Dr.Buskist's lectures are interesting... they aren't that helpful when you take your quizzes. Definitely have to read a lot and work for that A, but as long as you work hard... you'll get there

There are a lot of assignments so if you do bad on one, there is hope. Vocab tests are easy As. Take this teacher!!! And lots of extra credit!! up to 70 points extra.

I'm about to graduate, and he's probably the best teacher I've had at AU. He finds ways to make the material clear and interesting by using personal experiences and things he know appeal to the class. He gives tons of extra credit and the vocab. quizes are a piece of cake. It's not at all hard to get an A.

I say do not take this guy he is an ok teacher the lectures are pretty fun but thats it. He gives work alot of work like his class is the only class you have, and there is alot of reading and vocabulary test that are cumulative.

Dr. Buskist is sooo easy. If you read the text then you'll make an A. It is helpful to make notecards of the vocab before the quizzes. He asks questions about the vocab a lot. There is so much extra credit that no one should make a B. He makes the material very interesting and easy to understand. Take his class!

If you just manage your time, you'll be fine. Do the extra credit! And go talk to Dr. Buskist if you need anything...he's very helpful!

This guy is a great teacher; he is very personable and loves his students. It's really not mandatory to go to class but I did anyway because it was interesting. Tests and quizzes are pretty much based on the book and can be hard but there is a lot of extra credit in this course if you take advantage of it.

He is a very intersting teacher. I would not recommend this class if you do not like to read. He does not round so if you have a 89.99 you will have an B on your transcript. Be prepared to read. I would suggest to take another teacher but if you get stuck with him just read.

MY FAVORITE TEACHER OF ALL TIME! Class is ALWAYS fun and interesting. He is hilarious and incredibly friendly and relates to his students very well. There is a lot of reading and you MUST study to do good on vocab and tests, but its not bad at all. He makes it so you never want to miss his class! GREAT MAN! Ill never forget him!

Dr. Buskist was definitely one of my faves last semester. The class is interesting. I didn't think it was hard. But you DO have to read and coming to class is important though not really mandatory. 70 possible bonus points! He blows other profs outta the water with that.

Great guy, he is a co-author of the book you use, so you know he knows his stuff. Summer semester requires reading almost everyday, but his system is for your benefit. I would recommend you have him during the fall or spring, b/c you will learn a lot

amazing professor && very funny. helpful for the most part && really wants to see his students pass the class. attendance is not mandatory but READ THE BOOK and go to the labs. test/quiz every friday. didnt like the reading quizzes every week, but they either made or destroyed your grade.

Dr. Buskist is an incredible professor. He cares so much about his students. He is always greeting everyone and joking in class. He also asks students their opinions about his lectures and other parts of the class. You have to do your work for a good grade, but it is not hard at all. He is BY FAR the best professor at Auburn. Excellent teacher. Made class interesting, and he is very passionate about what he does. The class is a complete joke difficulty wise as long as you read the material and show up to class. There is alot of testing, but just do well on most of it, and you can completely slack off on the final. I only had to get a 40ish on it for an A.

Although class is not mandatory, still go and write down examples he mentions because MANY of the multiple choice and essay questions come straight from stories he told. VERY important to go to the lab, at least one essay question will be from what you did there and it's really hard to figure it out if you didn't go. Extremely enjoyable class.

Possibly the best teacher I've had at Auburn. The GTA's were awesome too! I took the 5 week mini-mester and after just a few weeks they knew all of our names. (there were about 50 in my class). Very helpful and the class was interesting! I definitely recommend him!

If you don't read a lot out of the book then don't take his class. The amount of reading is ridiculous. Write down the examples from class because a lot of it will be on the test. Pay attention in class for the test!!! If he still gives out the essay questions make sure you know the answers to them before the test, it helps so much.

Def take this class

Very fun, mainly because he always seems like he is having a blast. He always teaches clearly and concisely and I always come away understanding the subject and being more interested in psychology in general.

There is a lot of reading involved in his class, but the textbook he uses is clear and easy to read. There are a lot of graded tests, quizzes, etc. He seems to really care about his students and loves his job. Extra credit if you participate in research studies!

Dr. Buskist is the nicest guy you will ever meet. Great personality, really loud voice because class was 200+ students. YOU MUST READ THE BOOK! Go to class for lecture notes because he gives the answers to the essay questions for the tests. Class isn't mandatory, which will make you not want to go. DO THE EXTRA CREDIT, ITS EASY AND MAKES A BIG DIFf

He was by far my favorite teacher i had this semester. He seems to really love the students and the material. I loved his stories about his wife, but if you dont READ the chapters and study, you will fail. He has many chapter quizzes and vocab tests, def not an easy A but still interesting. I studied randomly and still failed.

Dr. Buskist is an amazing person! You can tell he enjoys teaching which makes it such an enjoyable class. You MUST READ THE TEXTBOOK! The class isn't an easy A but it's one you won't mind attending. There's 100 points of extra credit, so an A is quite possible. I highly recommend him!!!

Dr. Buskist is an excellent professor! He's really inspiring. You can tell he cares deeply for his students and his work. If you are interested in Psych, DEF take. You will find yourself wanting to learn more. You have to read the book. He tests frequently and gives up to 100 extra credit points. I didn't even need to take the final to keep an A.

Awesome guy, awesome teacher. He really enjoys what he does, loves to be there, and loves to get students involved. Most entertaining teacher and class I've ever had in my life. I actually look forward to his lectures all day. The work is a bit much, but it's easy when you enjoy the class. A good teacher really can make a subject fun.

Lectures are concise. Lots of extra cred. Lots of tests/quizzes which break the material into comprehensible parts. Lectures are clear and concise. And the class has everyday applications. He doesnt put grades online, though. Fantastic teacher no matter what you're strength or weakness is. But dont take him if you want to slack. Not a BS class.

Buskist is a great and interesting professor. He genuinely loves what he does and it shows. There are a ton of tests and quizzes but also 100 points of extra credit. GTA's make or break this class though. They pick the test questions and teach at least one day a week.

I had never taken psychology before auburn and it was the best class I have taken so far and he makes everything so interesting and I would HIGHLY recommend him over the others. You would do best by reading the chapters in the book. Don't take the class if you don't like doing outside work

He's an okay teacher. I thought it was a bit boring. I was a little disappointed we didn't really talk about Freud much. He thinks this class is the most important at Auburn and requires you to do a lot of extra stuff. I wouldn't take him again.

Read the book and go to class. Kind of backwards in that he hates blackboard but highly recommend him as a teacher. He knows how to teach and applies his many years of research in class. Class is awful when he is out of town which was 3 weeks but as a teacher/ prof he is great!

Far more work than I was anticipating. Its a good class, organized and the TAs are great. I just wasn't expecting a quiz(70% of a text) a test (140 points) and a midtem (140 points) all in one week. The class is interesting and fun but it is a TON OF WORK!

Super easy. Anyone who doesn't make an A in this class is lazy. He gives a ton of extra credit and the tests are easy.

One of the best teachers I have had in college. It isn't an easy A by any means, it's a lot of memorizing of definitions and many quizzes and tests but if you do the work and go to class it will be very worth it. I learned a lot in his class and he is by far my favorite teacher at Auburn. I highly recommend!

Still made an A and every day in the class was worth it. Auburn is lucky to have an amazing teacher and person! TAKE THIS CLASS!

Great professor! The class takes a pretty good amount of work, but it's extremely interesting. Stay on top of the reading/vocab and you should do fine, though. Attendance isn't required, but you can get bonus points if there aren't many other people there. It sucks that you can't get your grade from Blackboard, but that shouldn't discourage you.

This guy was really cool and made this class really interesting and easy to learn. Class is not mandatory, but he made it easy and fun to go to class. Usually let you out early and gave you bonus a lot on Mondays or after tests. Takes A LOT of work. I worked really, really hard and made a B. The quizzes are a deal breaker. Take this class!

TAKE HIS CLASS! by far the best psych teacher. attendance isnt mandantory, but you will go. Im a skipper and I did not skip once because the class was so interesting. You have to work, but you wont mind working for such an awesome teacher. You leave the class feeling like you learned something. TAKE HIM!!!!

So. Much. Work. He's a really nice guy, alright. He explains the material really well, but if you're an upper-level science major like me, you'll be bored to tears. He talks way too slowly for my liking and gave us 2 tests and a quiz all in the same week. Ridiculous. It's sad that I'm required to prepare more for this class than Genetics!

I really love Bill. Gives a TON of extra credit. Read book and study vocab. Don't have to go to class, but gives EC so go-it's interesting. You have to study but it's not too bad-I wait until day before to study quizzes and the tests are basically questions from quiz. It's very highschool..2 quizzes then test on those 2 sections. Take him!

Very nice guy. He is all about work though. If you're not willing to study a lot for a psychology class, dont take him. I ended up with a not so got grade simply because I didn't put in the time. You have to write out the definition of 20 vocabulary words on each quiz also. He's big on honesty and color coordinates his tests&gives multiple versions

To the person who made his honesty policy and tests sound like bad things.. ignore that person. Dr. Bill is incredibly helpful and thorough, and if you go to class and the lab you can at least get a high B if not an A with little studying. The only extra effort you need put in is the vocabulary, but really, it's 20 common sense terms per chapter.

Bill is a great guy. His honors class is WAY different than his regular class... It was a fun class, but it required a lot of time and energy the first half of the semester.

Best decision I ever made was taking his class! The tests are simple and to the point. He made class interesting and gives out tons of extra credit throughout the semester. Doesn't really use the book that much except for the multiple choice for the tests and short answer blanks for the definitions. Easiest class I've ever taken! Fun class.

He's extremely clear about what his rules are. gives random bonus points for showing up. tells you almost exactly what'll be on the test. I made sure I read the chapter, but I missed 4 or 5 classes, and he does not round your grade even if you have an 89.99 cause he offers so much extra credit. Just dont procrastinate and youll have a fairly easy A

Agree with the previous poster. His summer class was tough on me. I managed a B with a good bit of effort. The lecture quizzes were given after 5 minutes to review notes, and the reading quizzes covered very random parts of the textbook. With that said, Dr. Buskist was a nice guy and cared how you were doing in both school and life.

Buskist was such a helpful teacher. He made sure that each individual got the entire point of the class. He made the class challenging, but he kept it interesting and i've learned more about research and how to write correctly in this course than I have in previous courses at AU. The first proposal is fairly easy and the tests are spot on.

Best teacher Auburn has! Amazingly helpful and actually cares if you understand something or not. Goes out of his way to help you. Great teaching style! Overall a great experience- if you have to take Research Methods take Dr. Buskist!!! Worth my tuition. Do all of the prep guides and PBL's he posts; they help too.

Dr. Buskist really knows his stuff. This class was difficult, but, it was an honors class (it should be challenging). You definitely need to do the readings and work. Prep guides & PBLs really help your grade. Dr. Buskist really cares about his students and is one of the best teachers I've ever had.

I was incredibly worried about this class because I had heard that Bill was a very difficult teacher, but he is very willing to help his students anyway he possibly can. Make sure you show up and do all the prep guides and PBLs. The reading quizzes he posts are very helpful as well.

In the honors class, first half of the semester is just reading the textbook and taking quizzes. Nothing too hard, but don't skip on the readings. Second half of the semester is writing your research paper and then presenting it. It's with a group so it's not too bad.

Dr. Buskist is BY FAR the BEST professor I have ever had! He is so incredibly helpful, in and outside of class. Granted, it is a really hard class and there is a lot of work, but it is so worth it. He really knows his stuff and he is very intelligent. I highly recommend his class, but if youre looking for something easy, don't.

Professor Buskist was by far my favorite teacher at Auburn University. He was encouraging, honest, and fair. He helped when it was needed and was hard on us when needed too. He loves his job and his students and that shows through his continuous efforts. I would recommend him to anyone. TAKE HIS CLASS SERIOUSLY and respect him! GREAT GUY!!!!

He genuinely believes in his students and isn't out to fail them. His tests come straight from the homework and the practice test he gives out. The research paper part isn't so great but other than that he's good!

Bill is Ana amazing person and an inspirational professor; however, his "quizzes" aren't as easy as he makes them out to be. STUDY! The group paper at the end of the semester was absolute hell. My group was so lost with everything because he knew what he wanted, but he couldn't explain everything well enough. That's his problem overall, isn't clear

Dr. Buskist has been my favorite professor I have ever had. He is very helpful and clear with all of his assignments and grades. I wish I could take him again! Such a nice guy and rewards hard workers.

Dr. Buskist is by far one of my favorite professors. He cares so much about his students and psychology as a whole. The quizzes are clear assessments of the chapters and quite easy as long as you read the chapter. The group project can be somewhat annoying, but is overall extremely interesting and fulfilling at the end. Definitely take!

Dr. Buskist is one of my favorite professors so far. He's a great guy and teacher. The quizzes are pretty easy if you read, he gives you a free question per quiz, and the final is just a collection of previous quiz questions. The group project was pretty time consuming and frustrating, but overall interesting depending on your group.

Dr. Buskist is an amazing professor. I really enjoyed taking this course, he made everything extremely interesting and really knew what he was talking about. Read the book and study for the quizzes, they're not too difficult. But, the group paper was hell and he was SO tough about grading it (he graded my groups unfairly IMO.)

Bill is an amazing professor. He is so passionate about the subject matter and really cares for his students. He's been teaching this class for 35 years so he really knows what he's doing. His test are hard. Homework everyday. You need the book to pass. One big semester long project that is time consuming and hard. The GTA's help a lot.8 pt grading

Best teacher I have had in Auburn. The class is time consuming but if you put in the time and effort it is an easy class.

Bill is an amazing professor. He really pushes everyone to try their hardest and truly wants his students to succeed. His class is not easy, so you have to put in an effort to pass. He has a different grading scale made to make the class more challenging so you really need to put in maximum effort during the whole semester. Overall, great professor

This class is definitely challenging but not impossible. Bill teaches all the material that you will need for the exams, but there is a lot of critical thinking. You can't just show up, take notes, and memorize those and expect a good grade. You have to actually understand the material and Bill does an excellent job at teaching it.

Bill has definitely been one of my favorite professors as Auburn! The course is very challenging so you cant expect to just show up and pass the class. He sticks to the syllabus, so make sure that you pay attention to it. He is very respectful and is there to help you do your best in the class. I recommend him if you are up for a challenge.

Challenging, but fair. One of my favorite professors so far. Need the textbook. The proposal project can be an absolute monster if you don't stay on top of things. Take advantage of the optional turn in dates for free feedback!!! Definitely not the class to skip--affects grade and you can miss a lot of important info! Covers everything for exams.
