INFO 273 hybrid course was a breeze. Completed online tutorials and only had to show up for 4 mandatory lectures, one of which was the first day of class. Only makes you show up for tests. Homework is editing files by following directions, tests are cake. EASY A
hybrid class, extremely easy as long as u remember to do the work. if i tried more i could have had an A instead of a B+, but that was my own fault... If u come to the lab (not mandatory) he will help you if you ask. u DONT have to buy the books. only 4 mandatory lectures (1st class included) and come for tests. flexible if u have reasonable excuse
Hybrid class, so you didn't have to go that much. The classes that were "mandatory" were pretty pointless, though. Not very helpful, and the case studies required too many hours of work. However, the course itself was pretty easy, as were the exams.
Hybrid course.. The 3 lectures were mandatory but that was it.. homeworks were super easy and exams pretty much too as long as you go over the first advantage tutorials.. case studies did take a lot of time but I thought they were okay.. def go to him if you have any questions.. he is always in the computer lab
Dr. Colluci is a great guy and if you need help, he is always in the PA lab. The homework assignments will prepare you for the case studies, and the case studies were challenging, but extra time is required for them. I enjoyed taking this Hybrid course.
This class is not that hard just prepare to do a good deal of work and spend a lot of time on the case studies. Two of the 3 are incredibly easy and the 2nd one is very difficult because he doesn't explain anything. No text required. The reason I gave him a 3 is because I got an 89.5 and he still gave me a B+ so you need a 90 for an A.
If you know how to use Excel, Word Documents, and Acess, you will get an A, and it will be extremely easy. If not, you have tutorials that you must do, and they will teach you it. the class requires ALOT of online/blackboard use, but it is not a "hard class". very helpful teacher though and will answer any questions!
You will have to commit some time to this course even though it's hybrid. Dont have to go to class but only for exams and case studies. He has 3 mandatory lectures, the rest ar optional. Tutorials helped alot, didnt use book at all. Did very well in this class, just do your hw, and the tutorials and you will do fine on the case studies and exam
this guy is not a good teacher but the course itself is easy so i guess take him, but beware when you ask him a question is like you forcing him, i think he needs to retire and work is getting to him-teachers are suppose to be motivated to help you he is not and dont get me started on his assistant...useless thats all i have to say about both
LOVED this class because it was hybrid. but don't jump into if you don't have any experience with at least Word2007. he was an ok professor, he got an attitude whenever i asked him a question like i was supposed to KNOW everything. other than that if you have some knowledge in Word PP, Access and Excel, this is an easy A. Access is HARD though.
If you want to throw an entire semester's tuition out the window then take this professor! He has got to be the worst professor I have ever had. He is the epitomy of the lazy man's way to teach. If you don't have any computer knowledge then DO NOT take this class - you will walk out with less than you walked in with.
Horrible! Do not take! Waste of money! Worst professor I have ever had! If you want your grades to drop, take him. Not helpful at all. Very lazy. Does not teach anything at all.
I know this class is a GenEd class, and most of the work is done online. I've learned so much in this class, and it helps in my work place. When I had difficulties, I would utilize the lab. The professor was always there to assist me. The class is easy, but you must do your work.
hes the greatest teacher ever. i think ive had the most amazing time in his class and he works so hard and cares so much about his students. take it from me i am a student of his
What can I say!!!! A lot of work. Way too much. 2 HW every week, 2 independant projects, 3 online exams, 3 in lab work. Do not buy the book> all u need is Sam2007. Gradutes students and professor are k.
He's ok.However what annoyed me that he did not check his directions when he gave out work. Most of the times his directions had mistakes and it took me a lot of time to do his hws just bc I needed time to figure out what he really means.Basically you need to teach yourself.I've learned a lot but from SAM2007, not from the professor.
He is not helpful at all. He gives way too many assignments for one class. If you email him, he'll give you one word answers and seems annoyed. Although the assignments aren't all that difficult, they consume way too much time!
Annoying class! Not helpful, answers emails days later mind you he's a computer teacher. Gives WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too much work!
Hybrid class so attendance is only mandatory two or three classes all semester. Class gets significantly harder throughout the semester. THIS CLASS IS A LOT OF WORK! You must work hard and put in hours and hours of time. You will end up going to class even if you don't have to just to get help. Good luck.
This guy sucks. Makes the class 100 times harder then it should be. There is SO much busy work, that you have to teach yourself how to do. He is annoying to listen to, look at and just be around. He sends about 5 emails EVERYDAY. It is so difficult to keep up with all the due dates. Good luck taking this class, it literally makes you want to scream
Honestly the most confusing professor I've ever taken. Basically completely online, he doesn't even tell us things in class-- he waits till after class and sends us all emails. You go on blackboard and there are files thrown up all over the place and you have no idea what it is he even wants you to do. I was so frustrated with how confused I was.
Out of the 4 years I've spent working on my Computer Science degree at Montclair State I have never met a unorganized and unclear professor. He posts files up all over Blackboard and other various sites and you have to find everything in order to do your loads and loads of homework. When it comes to the work, he is so unclear! Worse prof at MSU!
I had him MW's, and the M lecture wasn't required. If you understand the topic, don't go! He missed a majority toward the middle of the semester. I ended up with a 99, and didn't go to any lectures, and watched his videos. Be sure to submit the SAM assignments and do the Bb quizzes-- then you're fine! Don't buy the textbook! He never used it.
Class says intro but it is all advanced! Even lectures say advanced! Not clear or organized at all! Unbearably boring! Hours upon hours of unnecessary work! Midterm is impossible! Does not use book! Lectures are hours long because he deviates from topics. Absolutely horrible!!!! Biggest mistake, by far one of the worst professors!
so easy. all the work is on SAM and you have 5 chances to get a 100. People who think word and excel are hard should not be business majors. you dont even have to go to class. i would recommend this professor. There is no way you cant get an A
Assignments are easy, but very time consuming. Working together with other students will save you HOURS of work. Do the practice Capstone (midterm and final) that he posts online, and you will ace it no problem. His assistant is the best, super helpful and nice. He is very boring and sends tons of emails changing the syllabus, so pay attention.
took the hybrid course, which was extremely easy. exams were based directly off of online lectures. easy work. the professor acts like he's a no nonsense type of guy, but secretly he's a softy ;)
the course is rather easy, although this guy is terrible. Having Hellen Keller organize this course would be more effective. He changes the deadlines and assignments daily. He is as useful as a urinal in the women's bathroom, and as helpful as a brick of salt in the desert.
I see many people saying how he's unorganized which I agree to. But this class is still a very easy A. The deadlines are confusing, but he easily extends them if you need one. The assignments take time but once you get them, the exams are a breeze. The quizzes are slightly tricky but you have multiple tries. Just don't be lazy and you'll be fine.
Cool and understanding guy, though not the best teacher. Feel like he complicates the class wayyyy more than he needs to. Assignments take long, but they're not difficult. Overall, he's alright. You'll do well if you commit to the work.
This class is an easy A. However, the professor makes it extremely confusing. The deadlines are constantly being changed and he makes things harder than it actually is. You will be better off teaching yourself. The material is VERY easy, but time consuming.
Couldn't agree more with people saying Hellen Keller could organize a course better. He changes due dates all the time and over complicates all assignments which- there are A LOT of them. Do not take him avoid at all costs he should not be a teacher in the school of business.
Best Professor I've ever had! Take him!!!!!
he is the best Professor at MSU!!!! lots of homework but lots of help too!
If you are respectful and take the class seriously and show that you are trying you'll be fine. Very helpful. Makes lots of jokes but they go over many peoples heads in the class. Give a good bit of work but no unrealistic expectations. Would definitely recommend. Very fair grader. Wants us to pass. He will really help you if you ask.
Only cares about giving busywork between classes. I'm not a lazy student, I do all my work, but all he does is give us confusing assignment after confusing assignment. Worst kind of professorinstead of trying to learn you just find yourself doing all these pointless and time conusming things to make the deadlines. It's all nonsense. Avoid.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Had I known this professor would have been the nastiest, most unhelpful teacher I would have never taken him. He doesn't care about anyone but his lame self and the way he grades is absolutely horrendous. He grades you on how you evaluate other people and will fail you for that if its not up to his expectations. AVOID!!!!!!!!!!
Colucci is one of the worst professors that I have ever had the displeasure to meet. He is extremely rude and talks to his students as if he was doing us a favor by showing up to class. He literally got loud with me because I asked about a grade and he couldn't be bothered. Very rude in his email responses. Avoid at all cost. Heed my warning.
Dr. Colucci is very unrealistic about what he expects from students at MSU. Makes same day deadlines even though some students have class all day. Wastes a ton of class time. Only now at the end of the semester does he expect you to teach yourself regression because the class is running out of time. Harsh grader even if there is clear effort. Avoid
his terrible, DO NOT TAKE
He is the worst professor I have ever taken in my three years of college. After the end of the semester and the final he decided he would count attendance and each class missed your grade dropped 5%. I ended up with a c because I missed 2 classes. One for a snow day and one because I was sick. He isn't fair at all and has no idea what's going on.
Don't take his class . He's not helpful and does not give clear instructions . He waste time in class and gives tons of busy work. He's rude and does not help you he's extremely sarcastic and irritating.
Terrible teacher. Nothing good came out of this class
The biggest problem with his class is that the requirements are always unclear. I never felt comfortable knowing what was expected of me because there are so many requirements and they keep changing. That being said- I think he gets WAY more flak than he deserves. I do think he tries to make class engaging and have everyone pitch in.
He is by far the worst professor i have ever had at MSU. I have not learned one thing about data analysis, and he expects us to give a 7 minute speech on something that was never even taught. save yourself, DO NOT TAKE HIM
Absolutely the worst professor I've ever had. Be ready for assignments to pop up whenever they're least expected. Not very helpful, and attendance is a must. Do yourself a favor, and take someone else.
Where do I begin?!? First, you will never know where you stand in the course. He constantly changes the weighting of assignments as the course goes on. This guy literally sits on canvas like it's his Facebook. Class begins in silence with a powerpoint shown with a password an answer to a quiz for attendance. Miss a few of those? Good Luck...
Where do I begin with this professor?! The lack of help he gives to his students is beyond imaginable. Homework?! Prepare yourself for 4 to 6 assignments due every Sunday night. Oh, don't be too surprised when he hits you with last minute assignments. Attendance? Don't skip. He'll end up failing you. Do yourself a favor. DON'T TAKE HIM!
Worst professor at Montclair. The University should be ashamed to have someone who works so little to be representing the school. This guy is an absolute nightmare. Do not take his classes.
If there is one professor to stay away from at Montclair, it's this one. He's arrogant, doesn't know the material, and can't cheat. He told us attendance wasn't mandatory then dropped grades by 20 points at the end of the semester (after it ended) so students couldn't complain.
DROPS YOUR GRADE FOR ATTENDANCE EVEN THOUGH HE DIDNT SAY IT WAS MANDATORY STUFF STAY AWAY!!!
He BS's his way through lectures. Doesn't care about students and is a terrible teacher. DONT TAKE HIS CLASS!!
Absolutely terrible professor. Worthless class. He can't teach and panelizes you for random stuff.
Terrible. Just terrible.
Worst teacher at montclair
Where do I begin with this guy? Let's see he posted 4 to 6 assignments due each Sunday. He tells you work in groups makes you think you'll present together then it's you on your own. He only gives less than a week to prepare for the presntation. And on top of that all the pointless homework he posts to waste your time. He drags class time.
I don't understand all the bad reviews he is a nice professor and cares for his students, a lot of assignments but the work is very easy and simple but boring gives out extra credit all the time and is very helpful, would take again in a heartbeat, this class is boring but it is a GPA saver
This class was definitely not bad as it may come across. There is a lot of homework, but the majority of it is easy. Provides examples and templates of what he wants for each of the main assignments. Homework is always due on Sunday and gives you plenty of time to complete it and extends due dates when needed. Make sure you come to class.
I would not recommend this professor to any student. The way he grades is so critical. So even if you do your best on an assignment and spend an extensive amount of time on it, you are still liable to get a bad grade.
Not the best professor ever, but definitely not as bad as the comments state. He is pretty critical and tough when it comes to grading but he provides a ton of tools for you to follow while completing your assignments. There is a considerable amount of work, but you get a full week to complete them. Also gives a lot of extra credit opportunities.
Skip Class? You wont pass.. LITERALLY. Prof Colucci is a very tough professor. His standards are high and expects the best from his students. On the other hand, he is so knowledgeable and actually spends time to revise, grade and provide feedback! To me, this is golden; as many professors now a days don't actually take the time to grade properly.
Prof Colucci is a tough grader. He does not pay sympathy to late work, unless you have a legitimate excuse. His assignments are real life work influenced. He treats his classes as a company. He is the manager and we are the workers. He gives excellent feedback and care about success of the students that actually care about doing good.
Not sure why he has bad ratings, he is a very knowledgable and fair professor
Can only speak for his BUGN 295 class. In my case I didn't really have an issue with him. There were a lot of assignments, but he gave me credit just for doing them and did not strike me as a tough grader. Could do without the weekly chapter quizzes though, there online but still very hard. Overall if you take him for 295 it should be an easy A.
Do yourself a favor, do not take this professor for any course. If you do not understand the information he is trying to convey to you in instruction he will get angry and belittle you. He is arrogant and has no respect for students. His grading system is impossible to understand. The content is easy, the class is unreasonably difficult.
Easy going guy but can be a tough grader sometimes. Gives opportunities for extra credit. Has a sense of humor. Would take again.
Class was easy, globus was really boring. He gives many opportunities for extra credit, and generally a nice guy. The work load isn't too bad at all. Would take again.
I took this class over the summer and he's literally one of the best professors ! I don't understand why he has some bad reviews. If you miss class you won't pass and he does give homework and outside assignments but your in college what do you expect. Also, he's very understanding and he does try to help you as much as he can.
Very knowledgeable person. Lots of assignments, but he allows you to re-submit some assignments for a higher grade. Does not like phones or computer distractions. Overall, good class. You learn a lot and getting an A is very attainable if you put in effort.
I would've gotten an A if I hadn't skipped ONE CLASS! You cannot miss class bc it will destroy your grade. Overall though a pretty smart/caring guy. GLo-bus was easy if you pay attention and if you fail something he's really understanding about letting you fix it. More assignments than I expected for a summer class but easy class just do the work.
the biggest piece of trash, i have never had more bs assignments in my life. He is so unprepared n makes us run the class, he will not be at tcnj long, because my entire class will appeal their grade with him. stop teaching if you hate it
One of the worst classes ive ever been in at TCNJ. Absolutely no structure. The guy is all over the place and has no idea how to run a class. Not sure how this guy got a job. STAY AWAY
idk why he has such a bad rating, he is a good professor, just do the homework and you'll be fine, quizzes are open book and online, he could be funny at times, seems mean at first but as you get to know him you realize how cool he is.
Dr. Colucci is a good professor, his rating should be this low. I failed Patel from late work, and Patels does not care and had awful exams. Colucci's workload is no different than any other Info 173, and his exams are straight forward. He emails if you are falling behind because he does care. Inf0 173 sucks but with Colucci, it is much better.
Colucci was my 2nd INFO173 teacher, I had Patel before him. Colucci is 10x better than Patel. The midterm projects and finals are way easier. He cares about his students. He does make you do an online attendance quiz. The online work is the same as any other INFO173
Dr. Colucci is ok, but his class was WAY too much work! Do not take this class if you have a heavy course load. Hours and hours of online work that will definitely class with other class times. He demands you to call him doctor in emails, but will never address you by name.
Students just dont want to do work and they expect an A in this class. He doesnt make you refer to him as Doctor. Professor was straight forward with the work, helped students out when they needed. Keep up with the assignments each week and pay close attention to the directions. Gives out lots of extra credit.
Professor Colucci is a tough professor, but only because he wants students to succeed. While yes, he gives a lot of homework as long as you get it done this class will be an easy A. He tells you exactly what you need to do to get an A in his class, and even lets you go back and resubmit things for a better grade as long as you show effort.
Horrible Professor. Gives so much work unorganized don’t take gim
So far, this class has been good from the start but, this Professor needs to be patient with students who has a disability like me.
This was a hybrid, but he is no help to anything you do. You teach yourself all of the information for the quizzes, midterm, and final. The class itself isn't bad, but it's time consuming. Everything is on Quizlet though, including the final and the midterm so you're chilling, but don't go to the professor for anything, just figure it out yourself.
This class was mainly about doing the Excel assignments. As long as you know what you are doing it is pretty easy. After a certain amount of classes, he allows you to not attend the class as long as you finish the class assignment before the start of class. The Excel certification test was definitely not the easiest but respectful professor.
Hybrid so I only had class 1 day a week for an hour and 15 minutes and I was able to leave within 30-40 minutes almost every class. The work really isn't hard and can be done fairly quickly. Never took me more than an hour to do any work of his outside of class. The final happens in class and if you pass you automatically get a 100 in the class.
The course material is quite easy regardless of who is teaching it but the professor himself couldn't care less about it! That man looked like he wanted to leave class and go back to bed. We didn't do ANYTHING in the actual class, he just made us work on the GMETRIX assignments that were already assigned as HW.
he doesnt give a f about you as his student. doesnt teach anything, just figure it out on your own. Class time is useless because he assumes you should know what he's talking about. cant be bothered to even organize his canvas modules or be seen during office hours. Dude is miserable with his life lmao get another job and spare the rest of us
Everything is graded by the computer and solely how you do on the work. Very hit or miss teacher so if you are already good in the subject then take him but if you are not then do not.
He's a decent professor. He's pretty nice but boring. Doesn't do a whole lot of teaching we mostly worked on the homework in class but if you have any questions he'll answer it. As long as you pass the certification test at the end of the class you get an A and then you don't have to do the final.
He has a temper
Coming from someone who knew nothing about excel prior to this course, it was really easy. He shows you how to access the homework on canvas, he goes over the material in class and helps you if you need it. The hw was online and you can look it up easily if you have trouble. I would take him again.
