Very difficult!!!
Not too difficult of a course, but you have to read the books to pass the class. Most of the stuff he lectures about is on the test, plus stuff from independent reading. He's a great teacher and very interesting also
Great teacher! He has great stories that go along with the lesson that make it more interesting.
Interesting class! Lectures are great, test are not too hard becasue he gives you a study quide. The Quizes are easy if you read the book.

pretty easy class. jss read what he tells you to read and take good notes and its impossible not get at least a B. tests consist of one essay and a short paragraphs. gives out study guides dat helps somewhat
i actually dont like history very much because of this class. in high school i loved it and was in an honors class. all his tests are completely written out. short paragraphs and essays. but he does know what hes talking about. i ended up with a D
One of the best teachers...ever.
Great teacher. I hated history in high school but he made it so interesting... His tests aren't very hard either, he tells you what to study and gives you essay topics. Take him if you want to learn and get a good grade.
Wow, Bill Jones is such an awesome teacher, seriously. Class is kinda hard, but hes just hella cool. I dont think anyones ever taken this guys clsas who didnt think he was the nicest guy and he really is, not to mention hes hella smart. man i sound like a Kiss A$$ but im not HES THAT GOOD!
Great teacher. Very informative. Gives clear outlines. His tests are pretty easy if you know your textbks and required readings very well. Short answers, short essays and essays. He's quite strict in gradings. If you miss out some of the information, you won't be able to get an A in the class.
Take Bill Jones' class if you like rock and roll. He likes to integrate and reference classic rock and jazz. His stories make for interesting discussions. I hated history and didn't want to take it, but taking Bill Jones made me want to take another history class. He loves The Who and The Clash!
This dude is the best!!!His lectures are well organized and easy to follow. Tests WILL be difficult if you don't take notes. He's really laid back and has a great sense of humor. Recommended!!!!!!
OMG.. i loved this teacher. has a great sense of humor and loves to teach.. i found myself staring at him the whole class, cuz when he speaks its almost as if, hes speaking to you.. hes hot in his own wierd way.. DEFINITELY RECOMENDED! easy quizzes and tests. attendence does not matter!
As cheesy as this sounds, Prof. Bill Jones really reignited my passion for History. It's a tough course, but don't sweat it because Jones will make you fall in love with the subject! Highly recommended even if you don't need it,pls. enroll in one of his courses, you won't regret it. He's inspiring!
Utterly enthusiastic and friendly. His passion for history easily ignites the inner history buff few people realize they had. Always open to questions, comments, and suggestions. Of course, with any history class, expect to READ, READ, READ.
I took him for 3 classes I loved him so much. I hated history then took him and loved it. Now Im at CSULB and took a history course and was disappointed because I got so used to Jones making it fun and interesting, the other guy didn't. Take him, he's so helpful, I reccomended him to everyone I know
An asset to the Honors Program. Great history teacher who prepares you for afterlife at the university level. He has a witty sense of humor which makes learning history fun. I wish there were more of him!
Mr. Jones is one of the BEST teachers I have ever had. His lectures don't really cover what is on the test but his review sheets do! So make sure you know that stuff. For anyone who is undecided about a major, he is an inspiration! Good luck and have fun!!!
Professor Jones is probably one of the best History teachers at Mt. Sac and moat likely in Southern California. If you attend the lectures and study his study guide, you will not fail the class. He also tells stories about hos past that are really interesting. Don't ever lose that, Mr. Jones!!!!!
I hate history. But Mr. Jones actually made class tolerable, and I do believe I actually learned quite a few facts from him. His tests are fair and not tooo hard. He's very friendly and more than happy to answer any questions. I highly recommend him.
He is GREAT! I've never had so much FUN with history. He's really nice and willing to work with you to improve your essays. He's also really cute (hmmm...maybe his son got some good genes :)
Prof. Jones is the best. He makes History the BEST subject! You will work for your A but the class is interesting and rewarding. I havent met a teacher as friendly and as passionate about their subject like Prof. Jones is. Please do not leave SAC without taking one of his classes.
Isn't easy, but is funny and a great lecturer. Probably learned the most from Jones than any other SAC prof. A must take.
Study under this teacher! I took History 3-H in Fall '04 and he did a superb job again. Even if history is not your thing he will make it interesting with humorous analogies. The writing emphasis is surely important for transfer students. Honors class is great for intellectual discussions. I will miss him but on to CSULB. My teaching mentor!!!!!
Jones was a great teacher. He was extremely helpful and was very clear in what he wanted. His study guide covered everything in the test. Took him in the summer, short and easy class. Nothing hard, just read the book and take some notes, only a couple papers which was very easy.
Mr. Jones is way CHILL!! He is a top History Professor! His teaching methods are superb!! He involves his students into discussion, covers history thorugh clear and concise outlines, and expresses his passion for the subject by telling stories about his various travels accross the country and about his life as a historian. He's the BEST!!
Professor Jones is my favorite teacher! Not only does he love his subject, he loves teaching and it reflects in his work. However, if you're looking to slack off, don't take this class. You actually have to pay attention if you want an A. Luckily, paying attention won't be that hard..unless you're completely unmotivated. Class is always interesting
Helpful and easy in respect to history teachers only, since history is more difficult than other subjects (mostly essays). Very original and funny!
One of the best teachers ever. An engrossing lecturer. Very friendly and tolerant. I've seen him put up with the dimmest of students with the patience of a saint. Compassionate towards students that have to work or that have kids and is very flexible with the class so he lets you leave early or do make-ups. I didn't want to leave the class.
This professor is so cool. I really recomend him to anyone who needs to take a history class. He explains everything very well and he is very helpfull. I give him two thumbs up!!!
This guy is a bit of a history nerd, but his passion and his intrigue for historical events comes through in every single one of his lectures, and it can be quite contagious. Breathes vibrant life into a stereotypically boring and mundane subject.
very easy class. simply pay attention and memorize vocab. take it during the summer, bcuz theres no required essays given and less vocab. exams are in essay format, but a lot of times u can BS ur way into getting points.
Stimulating lectures! Professor made learning history exciting. Humorous and gentle human being! I have enjoyed his class immensely! What an impact a good teacher makes!
A very interesting teacher. He relates to the students and captures the classes attention. I wish all of teachers were as inspiring and captivating as him. The class is easy if you keep up w/ the reading. All quizzes and exams are in essay form. It is an advantage though, this allows room for a better score. He's AWESOME!!!
Great teacher!!! But hard tests. Personally, i suck at writing essays and his tests have essay requirements. The lecture is fun and never boring and he does not give much homework either.
Great teacher! he is hard though. only points are from quizzes, 2 midterms, and final. you learn a lot in his class and he makes history interesting. i recommend him, but you do have to work for an A.
prof. jones offers his students a variety of aspects (political, economical, geographical, social, etc.) on historical events presented in a clear and understandable manner. his is a stimulating immersion into what is usually a boring trip down historical pathways. a more thoughtful, jovial, unabashed history buff i have never encountered.
Great prof! Lots of work, but take the supplemental class if he still offers it - that helps so much! The tests are pretty difficult and there's a lot of info, but he was one of the best prof's that I have ever had...take his classes!
Excellent teacher. There is a fair amount of reading, but he is entertaining and makes the class very enjoyable. I got a B and pretty much just paid attention in class.
pretty good teacher! his lectures are very interesting, however in order to get an A you really have to read the text. Grades are based on quizzes (he drops the lowest grade), 2 midterms, and 1 final. the final isn't comprehensive so there is not much to study for.
He's the coolest teacher ever! He's a total history goober, but it's way fun. He knows a LOT about the history of the Mt. SAC area and uses interesting little facts to liven up class lectures - the hour and a half always flew by in his classroom because he's so easy to learn from. You'll love him!
such a cool professor. he is a pretty interesting guy. makes history interesting and class time goes by quickly! just read the chapters he says will quiz you about and will be fine...
He is such an awesome teacher. He was by far my favorite prof while I was at Mt. Sac. I even changed my major bc of him and took him for 3 semesters. I definately advise taking him bc he actually makes history interesting.
Professor Jones is the best professor that I have ever had. He is always there to help you when you need it. He makes learning fun and enjoyable. This course was great. He is wonderful and you definately NEED to take a class with him!
Kick ass best teacher i ever had! even if you don't like history he'll make it your favorite subject. keep on keepin on jones
Great teacher, great sense of humor, entertaining. Makes history interesting. After you take his class you'll understand why history is a required subject...he connects all the dots and makes it relevant to today.
Class requires a lot of reading. You cannot pass the class if you don't do the reading. The lectures are great and very interesting, but the exams are difficult and they are essay written. For the final we were required to write 2 in-class essays. Jones probobly won't know your name. Every single grade is from quizes or exams.
History is boring, but he tries to make it entertaining. A lot of reading, but he gives out study guides before each test, and if you only study whats on there you will completely pass the class. Never read the whole semester. I studied the hell out of that study guide and got a B in the class. Quizzes help your grade so dont miss any of them.
Professor Jones is VERY BIASED. If your essay comes off as conservative... then you're in for a surprise. I did very good in all my tests and average on my essays and he gave me a C!!!! He commented that my last essay had "several grammar mistakes" which in reality it was only less than 4. My friend had MORE MISTAKES on his essay and got a B.
Best history professor Ive ever taken. And I just finished my masters! I hated history before I had him. He is SUPER COOL!!
Good. Helpful Enjoys talking to students. Has a passion to teach and does it very well. Just pay very good attention in class and take god notes and you should do just fine.
Good Professor. Just focus on the study guides and the Reilly book and your in for a good grade. I got a b in the summer class so anyone taking it in the fall should be ok.
AWESOME PROFESSOR!!! Extremely helpful, explains everything completely! Works with students when unexpected personal issues occur. I got an A... He gives study guides and paper outlines weeks in advance, just study and you'll do fine!!! TAKE THIS PROFESSOR
Great Teacher, would love to have him for another class
Highly knowledgable and comprehensive, his essays and midterms can be challenging, but you will learn so much! OPen to opinions and discussion. Very witty and has a dry humor and comes to class with a smile and an energetic attitude that is refreshing. You can tell he loves teaching and he loves history. You are BLESSED if you get Mr. Jones.
Extremely nice professor. He is very passionate about his profession and can be energetic. That being said, he is not easy and his test and quizzes can be tricky. However if I had to take another history class I would take him again.
AWESOME PROFESSOR!!! I took him for both Hist. 3 & 4... he gives study guides for every exam weeks in advance and even offers help before, during & after class... TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!!!!
He is a GREAT professor! his lectures are interesting and grades fairly. i strongly recommend this guy.
Mr. Jones knows his history. He's really helpful (and funny), but class was boring sometimes. Tests were sorta difficult but he grades fairly. Highly recommend him!
he is very passionate about what he teaches and that makes the learning environment great because you know he really cares about what he's teaching. quizzes were pretty easy, just be sure to do the reading assignments. however, i thought the tests were difficult (im not a big fan of history so that's probably why his study guides were very helpful!
Professor Jones is an articulate instructor who lectures with passion. He incorporates daily life with the past in a very humorous way. His exams are not multiple choice, which is a huge advantage. Essays are required and subjects are intresting. Fair grader. Excellent academic.
Fantastic. Take him if you have the chance!
Amazing Teacher!! Very interesting. Didn't like History until I took this Professor. Really helps his Students and is really compassionate about Teaching. Mr. Jones, your the BEST!!
He has a passion for teaching history, very smart and funny. Reads and recommends A LOT of books for people who are interested in a particular topic. I found his quizzes more difficult than his exams, beware of multiple choice questions!
This professor sure knows a lot about history. Mr. Jones is a great professor, but his exams are not easy at all. In order to pass them, you have to do all the reading and be able to answer each question right.
Fantastic. Passionate and articulate. Gives study guides for exams so you know exactly what you will be tested on. Books are mandatory though - you have to do the reading.
Mr. Jones is a good professor. Sometimes a little too boring, but you actually learn something in his class. His papers are not hard at all you have choices on wat to write on. His test are not easy but not hard either you just need to study very well. I got a B in his class if i would have tried a bit harder i would have gotten an A.I recommend hi
Mr. Jonse is a hard teacher. All his exams are essay based and you have to read A LOT! No extracredit and he does not drop any quizes or tests.
Best professor and class that I've ever had, and I hate history. If you can get Professor Jones, go for it!
Class is interesting and important, but when it comes to his exams, you definitely need to be super prepared. There is essay and a lot of reading required in Professor Jones' class and continue seeking help if needed. Overall, nice guy and very intelligent.
real nice guy...attendance not important. Exams are not easy but he does give study guides concentrate primarily on the essay part and u have a good chance of passing the test cuz their r so many terms on it and only a few r on the actual test
This professor is great. With out a dought, my favorite professor at Mt. Sac. His exams are hard. but all you need to succeed is to read the material, attend his lectures, and just go by the study guide that he gives you. Taking his class has been fun and I am now considering changing my major to History. I'm currently an engineering major.
really nice guy, TOOO much reading
Professor Jones reminds me of Will Forte (from SNL)! He's very funny and he makes history more enjoyable to learn. He's the BEST history teacher, hands down!
He's a cool guy. Knows what he's talking about. Class is very interesting but exams are really hard. Do not fall behind on the readings, you'll need them to pass the class. Overall he's a great teacher, history was pretty interesting with him
I hated hist, but I loved his class. Great class but very hard. Do not underestimate. Must read everything, study, and do study guides. To do well on quizzes and tests, write as much as possible for all essays and terms. Definitely recommend if you are willing to put effort, but drop it if you are unable to read 200 pages a week.
professor is extremely interesting, but the readings are mandatory! show up to class because lectures are also important. tests are purely essays and short answers, no scantrons used.
Mr. Jones really makes history very interesting. He's also funny when it comes to joking around about history. His exams aren't as easy as you think, so be sure you study hard from his study list and read all the chapters he assigns. Overall, a great history teacher!
Ok professor, but there's tons and tons of reading involved. Exams are mostly essay questions and a few short answers.
Mr. Jones knows his history! If you want to really learn about history take his class. There is a lot of reading, and all his exams are essays and short answers. His grading is a little hard, so make sure you study before tests. Personality wise, he's really nice and you can tell he loves teaching.
VERY cool professor. Not the easiest but trust, he knows his stuff. Very chill and jokes around sometimes. Makes history seem fun i guess. LOTS of reading though. 6 quizzes but drops 1, 3 major exams. Not bad. Gives study guide. You must write an essay and few short answers on the exams. recommended
This professor is very interesting! You can tell he loves history. He teaches w/a passion. I wish I could have stayed in his class, but there's so much reading that I couldn't keep up. If you take his class make sure u aren't taking 4 other classes because it gets really hard. But other than that, Prof. Jones is the prof u want to take :)
He has to be the best history teacher at Mt. Sac. He teaches well and is very clear when explaining something. His tests consists of his lectures and the books..so reading is mandatory. He provides a study guide so nothing new will appear on the test. You have to read a lot but hey that's the usual for a history class.
Absolutely brilliant.
He is very nice and passionate. There is a lot of reading and multiple books must be purchased and read to do well on tests/ quizzes. No hw at all. His tests are all essay and not too too hard if you do well on the quizzes and read, but if you are taking large load or work a lot, dont take him. The reading is time consuming. His notes are scattered
Jones is a really cool and nice guy. He knows tooooo much about history. There are multiple books and yes ample reading that his lectures dont really reflect so make sure to take good notes even tho his are scattered all over. Tests are all essay/ short answer. This class is one of the hardest classes to get an A in.
Such an intelligent teacher. I definitely recommend him! I've never met a professor who was so passionate about teaching. He truly cares for his students and does his best on explaining things. Tests are pretty hard and definitely have to read to pass his quizzes. I learned a lot from him
There is not enough words to boast and describe about Prof Jones magnanimous lectures. His interpretation of events will challenge your paradigm of world history. The readings have been eclectically chosen; no one will be disappointed. His tests will challenge the dexterity and stamina of your fingers- no further warnings. Just brilliant.
WILLING TO WORK WITH STUDENTS.
Mr. Jones is the coolest professor ever. I don't mean cool as in lenient. But cool as in he's been hip and witty since the 60's. You have to read a lot and the exams can be a little tough if you get behind. He has a great attitude all the time and hes really interested in helping students succeed.
Awesome. His notes are scattered but he is so knowledgeable and informative that you learn so much.I didnt appreciate this class until I took a few other hist courses and found out he is an amazing teacher.must read and the tests are pretty hard .a B should be easy but i had to work for an A.use google to reinforce lectures on the study guide.
Not enough words to boast/compliment about this teacher! Great class, and his side notes/accents are very funny! I recommend him to anyone who wants to take history! Yes, a bit of reading, but he makes the class very enjoyable, and I look forward to going each time!
THE BEST! He knows his stuff inside and out and it shows! His lectures are so interesting. Always has a good attitude and encourages you to form your own conclusions about history. Everyone should try to take him!! Absolutely a stand out teacher!
Amazing instructor, through and through. A tough grader on essays but merciful on midterms. Very lively and makes lectures extremely enjoyable. Funny and loves student input. Best History professor you could ever ask for.
Very nice teacher! Will clarify any questions on work or tests, gives a fair amount of extra credit. The 3 teacher class is really interesting and I enjoyed the class. Be prepared for doing some reading and taking notes but I think it was still a great class!
Professor Jones is such a great professor -- he is knowledgeable, funny, and helpful. He uses power points but does not read directly off of them. If you need help with one of the essays he is willing to help with ideas. (It is writing intensive so if you don't like writing essays you might want to take another professor)
Very nice professor who loves what he does. Learned so much and he keeps in interesting. Easy to pass the class. Cares about students and watching them succeed. Took 2 different classes with him because i enjoyed it so much.
Jones is an excellent professor because he makes the lectures so entertaining with accents and humor. He is very straightforward about what he will have on his tests. Study what he asks and you should be fine. Going into history I was so nervous that the subject was going to be boring. Jones made the class enjoyable and easy to understand!
Professor Jones is an incredible professor. I enjoyed his class so much that I took him twice. He definitely knows his stuff, he makes history interesting, and he has a good sense of humor. He cares a lot about his students and he will clarify anything you don't understand. You'll learn a lot from his class, and I highly recommend taking him!
hes a great professor and all but his lectures are horrible. all he does it post pictures on powerpoints and expects you to listen and write down what you hear him say
Mr. Jones is an excellent professor; he works with a team of three that makes class feel like a lecture hall. There are only three exams that pretty much make up your whole class grade, and you better be specific on what you're saying. If youre cool and willing to participate in class, you'll get an A '
Absolutely LOVED this guy. He's hilarious and easy going. He really knows his stuff and always willing to help. Heavy workload and tests are pretty difficult but if you read the books and actually study you'll do just fine. Highly recommend for social science majors. If you're not a big fan of history, you might not enjoy this class.
Amazing teacher who helps and can make a lecture fun.
Professor Jones is an excellent teacher. Although you have essays every few weeks he gives really good feed back about what you could do better next time. Tests are only tough when you don't pay attention read and study but if you do all of that you're fine. Take him! He also likes to make jokes(:
Jones is an amazing professor! I had him for my humanities class, and I specifically chose a history class just to have his class again! If he can that you know what you are talking about and are paying attention in class, you will have no problem. GREAT PROFESSOR!
He is a teacher who knows his History. His lectures are not a bore, he makes the material interesting. Aside from the lectures, he shows educational material you will most likely be interested in. Study and read the material and you will pass. The tests are kind of hard. I would rate the easiness of the tests a 610.
Great Professor. I hated history courses in grade school but he made it a lot easier to learn. Very easy going, not strict on rules, does lectures like he's telling stories. Talks a lot about his personal life, but it's not a total time waster, he's done some interesting stuff. (: Overall i'd take him again!
Professor Jones is very knowledgeable, yet I took him for an intercession and there was a lot of reading. 3 essays were written in the 6 weeks of class yet, his tests are not difficult if you do the reading.
this teacher is fantastic he makes lectures very interesting and funny. there is a lot of reading but it only helps you with the vast amount of options you receive for tests. it gives you an opportunity to pick from a lot of terms you've gone over. kind of a stickler on papers but it only helps for Cal states and Universities. It only improves you.
Beat professor at Mt. SAC! I've taken 3 of his history classes and loved everyone of them. His tests are all essay so it challenges your knowledge of the subject but his questions are open enough where you can explore areas you are interested in. I cannot say enough good things about Professor Jones.
There are a few quizzes, 2 midterms and a final. There is no homework assignments, your homework is to read, I barely cracked open the book and still passed because his lectures covered what you needed to know. The tests and quizzes aren't multiple choice, you write out your answers giving you a chance to show what you know not what you don't.
Hes a very great professor he tells you what to expect on the quizzes and on the test. He gives you study guides and provides the lecture notes online so you can print them so you wont be copying everything down when he lectures so you can just listen. He doesn't give you homework he just expects you to read the books he assigned.
Nice guy but teaching methods are pretty bad. His powerpoints would be considered useless to a normal student. They're not really organized either. It's hard to even take notes on what he is saying cause the content seems all over the place.
He was a nice professor. He had good lectures and had interesting topics. He has 3 tests and 3 essays and no hw
He's an amazing professor. If I had the chance to take him again I would.
I loved Prof. Jones' class. I never thought I enjoyed history class until I had his. It was tough and heavy reading (do not take this class unless you are prepared to read massive amounts of material), but he is a very fair grader and gives you partial credit for what you do know. His lectures are very interesting. Highly recommended.
I loved Prof. Jones' class! Not only was he funny and had amazing lectures, but you can really tell he cares about his students. He never blind sides you on tests or quizzes. He will tell you exactly what you should study. No hw just some reading.
The sweetest, most caring professor ever! One of the best I've ever had.
he's very passionate about history, and is a great, caring professor. make sure to take plenty of notes and do your reading.
the most amazing professor! ive always loved history but bill really made me fall in love with history all over again. not much notes were provided but the way he gives lectures really made me learn and always so interesting and i wouldnt forget the info. i enjoyed this class so much it never felt like work, easiest A ive ever received.
Amazing History professor, he is obviously incredibly passionate and loves what he does. You can miss class (he doesn't really take attendance) but he helps you understand the material for quiz and test questions.
Did not enjoy but tbh really weak in history. Would recommend if you're actually interested in history. He's really passionate in the subject and makes lectures somewhat interesting. Otherwise if you're looking for an ez class, find someone else. 2 tests and final. 3 papers. All essay tests.
Professor Jones has not been my favorite professor but he isn't the worst either. You can tell he loves his history. Hard grader but he is encouraging as well. Doesn't take attendance. 3 papers in total (only based on 1 chapter of the book), 3 tests which consist of two essays and 5 definitions. If you study for the tests then it'll be easy.
This guy's awesome! Loves history, fun clase! Grades really hard though so be prepared, hang with it and you'll learn a lot and have a great Time..
I would definitely take this class if you are a social science major! He knows his stuff and enjoys passing on that knowledge. 3 essays and 3 tests, including the final. He is a tough grader, but is not harsh and wants to see you improve. Attendance isn't mandatory. Books he requires are cheap finds.
Jones is the only professor I've given a 5 in my 2 years here. His vast knowledge of US history paired with his dry humor (first time I've ever found a professor genuinely hilarious) and engaging style of lecturing where he mixes in relevant and often funny stories and personal experiences makes class fun and informative. Confidently recommend.
The only homework assigned were three essays, which weren't very difficult. Only three tests as well, which were also quite easy. You had to define five terms and answer two short essay questions. You have to show up to class, but his lectures aren't bad. Notes are not needed as he hands out his own lecture notes.
5/5 Jones has an amazing youthful vigor that makes every lecture very entertaining. He is very helpful and approachable, and every essay and exam gives you a variety of topics to choose from that you like best. I have never felt like coming to a class would be fun before taking Jones', that should say enough
I love this man.
Prof. Jones is one of the most genuine, friendly, and helpful professors I've had. Since Coronavirus this past semester, all lectures and assignments were 100% on Canvas (subject to change), but he was exceptionally communicative (no confusion about exam material) and very understanding about due dates. Highly recommended even w/o class time
Professor Jones is an amazing guy with a big heart. He gives around 5 papers, yeah there is a good amount of work in the class but at the same time he wants to give an A and he is honestly super passionate and sweet. I loved having him, the work was lowkey interesting too.
This class was very easy, but I feel like the grading is a little tough. Even though I tried to improve the whole semester with either tests or essays, I always ended up with a B.
Currently enrolled in winter class, has a clean schedule of what the 6 weeks were gonna look like didn't go off topic though I suck at history just focus a lot on the reading and the order of it as he does the same order in questions on his quizzes and discussions he's understanding of the pandemic and passes everyone as long as you try.
I love Professor Jones, if he has any other history classes, I will definitely take him! He doesn't offer extra credit but you do work for your grade. There is 3 essays and quizzes every other week and discussion boards the other weeks that don't have quizzes. He's older and is really caring. I enjoyed him a lot and recommend him for sure!
Nice and caring professor. Although I got a C in this course, still like him very much. Didn't have many assignments and quizzes. If you follow it, most of them can get full credits.
I took this class because I needed the credit but I ended up really enjoying it and I might take HIS8 if Prof Jones offers it online. He gave 3 exams, first half of the exam is like a 3 pg paper (he gives you topic options) last half is 5 short answers. Lectures are more helpful than the textbook. Just stay on top of the work and you'll be fine.
This professor is retiring/ retired so I wont get into detail. He is the sweetest person ever and a great professor and I just wanted to put that out there!
Cool history professor who shares a lot of interesting stories typically relating to the subject he's teaching. His lectures were pretty simple and the assignments were easy or he gave plenty of time to finish them, even extending late deadlines way longer than he had to. Overall a nice person and it sucks he retired last year (2021).
So knowledgeable about history! Awesome lectures, never boring! Great PPT and lecture notes. 3 exams, 3 papers, and 10 quizzes (most done in class as a group). Fair grader and allows late work with penalty. Wants his students to succeed. Would take for every history class if I could! Glad he came out of retirement! HIGHLY recommend.
Prof. Jones is so nice and extremely knowledgeable. Class consisted mostly of lectures and a quiz. Quizzes were super easy and he would give us credit on them for just coming to class. We had 3 papers and 3 exams. The class is very writing heavy but doable.
prof jones is very sweet and his lectures were interesting, as he likes to input his own experiences with some events that he talked about. there are a few essays and group discussions but he gives very good and informative feedback on all of the writing assignments, which made it easy to improve my writing and get an A.
