Excellent Teacher. Easy to understand
Excellent teacher! Wish I could have brought him to MSU with me!
Very sexy!!
Bill was great, he was very personable, and better than any chem prof at MSU
Very funny. Excellent teacher. He's adorable
Great teacher. I have a whole new understanding for Chemistry.
Great teacher and attitude, Better than any Chem prof at GVSU!!!
William is a nut and always keeps your attention
so funny, makes chem fun
Faber is a gas and he knows his stuff-you'll love his class

Great teacher! Excellent class outline and lectures. You go Bill.
Great Teacher! If you can't learn chm from Bill, drop out,you don't belong there.
relates chem to real world. GREAT TEACHER. Made our class fun and hillarious!!!!
Book only needed for homework. 2/3 theory 1/3 math.
How many of you feel comfy asking ?'s in class; humor doesn't teach get real
he's not only funny, but he's enthusiastic and very intelligent- a riot
The most outstanding instructor I have ever had. He is Great!!!
Very cool teacher.....love to have him again.
Lacks experience in teaching. Most like him b/c he's funny, but that is worthless when you move on to your next chemistry course and are ill prepared. Take Liburd
Very awsome teacher. Plus good looking. You will want to spent 4 hours with him.
Great teacher an fairly good at P-chem. Watch out for his tests, the problems on them are nothing like homework or examples. Also has an obsession with thwarting the test mafia and doesnt' let you keep tests. Also writes tests at last possible moment.
Nice guy, willing to help, not a lot of extra credit, but a fair grader on quizes and exams.
Lab was easy with Faber. His humor made lab fun, and when in lab he was laid back, and always talked about the Chem 103/104 Mafia
Very knowledgable and funny. Helluva guy. This was the most challenging class but it prepared me for future chemistry
funny, smart, willing to help, family guy, cute...does he have a little brother?
a cooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool guy. i like him a lot.
Faber is the best thing to happen to chem. since the Bunsen burner! I hated chem. class in h.s. and now I look forward to it!He is such a nice change from most science profs who try to use intimidation to get respect. If you want to learn, take Faber!
One of the best teachers I have ever had, I only with I had him for lecture, and not only lab. Very helpful, cheerful, and witty.
Mr. Faber is funny and very nice, but of course that doesn't mean anything when it comes to a grade. I personally find him very helpful and aproachable. I hate chemistry, but he makes lab less painful.
He is very funny and easy to get along with. Easy to understand and very helpful as well. He is a great lab teacher and very cute. :) Nice guy overall.
Mr. Faber can resonate my structure anytime he wants.
awesome teacher
I had to take this class in the summer, and I thought it would suck-but it didn't- it rocked! He wants you to come to class and do well. You wouldn't think he was hot- but he is funny and smart and a great guy--and this makes him very hot!!!!!!
Funny guy. Makes corny jokes about the material he teaches that make class more enjoyable. He seems very passionate about teaching chemistry, and does a good job. Do the homework and look over the reading assignments. Not the easiest class but he is very helpful if yu ask.
He's amazing. He's sharp. He's challenging, conscientious, and talented. He's like the Lenny Bruce of Chemistry. (Without all the guilt and controversy.)Take his class; he's a fine teacher.

Really such a new professor, very cute looking too...but too bad he's got a warm family! JK
Faber is the shizzle bam nizzle. Hes the best teacher i have had, and he actually made me interested in chemistry. Anytime i heard chemistry before faber I felt like i just got kicked in the nuts. Awesome teacher...highly recommended
Great teacher!
Excellent teacher, great notes, funny and nice guy.
He is an excellent teacher. If you struggle with Chemistry, I recommend him as a teacher. Very helpful, funny and quite cute too. :o)
Awesome teacher... Had a lot of fun with biochemistry this semester, even the organic stuff. Faber makes it easy to understand and you can tell he knows what he teaches. Very helpful with questions and an all around good guy. Loved his occasional chemistry humor as well... ;-) "...that is of course, if I were a moonshiner... which I am."
I love this guy. He is an awesome teacher and makes chemistry lab interesting. He is really helpful and wants everyone to enjoy his class and do well. He is deffinatly one of the best teachers I've had.
Cool guy, makes me laugh! He gives fair tests and gives you a chance to do well in his class!!
Awesome teacher, willing to help you in anyway!!!!! Great guy, prob the best chm teacher around.
Great professor. Will answer any question you have, and is very helpful. Highly recommended.
A great teacher, in my opinion one of the best in this department, if chemistry isnt your thing and in the past you have found it hard to understand;take him his style of teaching is great and he presents the material in a clear way. i recieved a B+ but with the slightest bit of effort i could have recieved an A.
I loved the class because he taught it (he's really funny). I learned more than I could have with any other professor because he's such a great teacher. He should be at Harvard or UofM or somewhere better than a community college because he's so smart and genuinely a good teacher. I would tell any one to take this class with him.
Mr Faber is so cool... I loved his humor!!! He made learning enjoyable and he made sure you understood what was going on!! I can't wait to have him again!
Mr. Faber is an amazing teacher!! He was so laid back and easy going with everything he taught that he made learning easy. I hate chemistry and after taking his class I would take it again if he was the teacher. I absolutly loved him!!!
you can't imagine how awesome Faber is. he is so funny teacher and also he taught the material so easily to understand. i had 100% recommended you in his class. be ready and enjoyable. dont hesitate to enroll before the class will be gone soon. lol
excellent prof, and throws a little humor in there too...
Great at introducing people to chemistry; he keeps thing light and accessible. Hilarious anecdotes, too!
Best teacher ever!
Faber is the best cem prof seriously!!! He makes the class very interesting and he is very helpful as well...also funny too...corny but funny jokes!!! & not bad looking at all ;-) u rock Fab!
I had him for CM103 and now taking 104 with him. He is wonderful! He gives you quizes every Friday, but they're pretty generic and pretty much just help you stay on task. He's also really funny which is a HUGE plus!
I had him for CM103 and now taking 104 with him. He is wonderful! He gives you quizes every Friday, but they're pretty generic and pretty much just help you stay on task. He's also really funny which is a HUGE plus!
He was very helpful, and made the class fun!
AWSOME!!!! this was my dirst time taking chem ever! i was super scared, but i am doing well because he is such a great teacher!!!
All i can say is that it's hard to find a professor like him. he made Chemistry fun and extra easy. Trust me you wont regret taking him as your prof.
Best Teacher Ever.
He is the best of the best teachers!
He is a great teacher and definetly rivals my high school chem teacher as one of the best teachers i have ever had. If you want to get an A in Chem, take Faber, he is great.
really cool he is fun if you fall asleep with most teachers you wont with him he is fun and very down to earth
AWESOME TEACHER. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. He is very laid back and likes to joke and goof around with his students. He is always willing to help! Don't think twice about taking him, just make sure you go to class and take notes and it pretty easy! Tests aren't too hard, just know your stuff. Would take him again in a heartbeat!
Amazing, so cute and funny, also great teacher, easy to talk to
Faber is an awesome professor! The class itself sucks, I mean come on, its chem. But he makes it interesting and really understandable. TAKE THIS PROF!... Plus-He's not too bad to look at!
Great teacher. Really funny and enjoys the material he teaches. Good at explanation and always willing to help. Take notes and study. He is also hot in a geeky way.
hes a really good teacher. really funny and goes thru everything pretty well. if you dont go to class you will be lost. tests arent too bad if you atleast study for a little. overall a really good teacher... i would def take him again
Very smart man, he knows all! Seriouly though I learned sumthin new every class. He's got some funny stories and you will learn alot!
Very helpful. I recommend him for chem 103. I took his online/hybrid class over the summer. It was very nice because all the lecture videos and materials were online and we only had to come in for lab twice a week. tests are not too bad as long as you pay attention to the lectures and practice the problems in your homework.
He is one of the best profs I have ever had. He is easy to talk to and funny. Explains everything very well and will explain it to you until you get it. I wish he taught every class I had at GRCC.
He is one of the best professors I have had at GRCC. He made learning chemistry fun and easy. He's funny and very helpful. Take good notes and study them well for the tests. Everyday i went to class we always had something to laugh about and he teaches very GOOOD!!
What a great guy. Chemistry is in his blood. I struggled with the material, but he was always willing to help and answer questions (and there was no such thing as a stupid question). My head would have exploded if I had taken chemistry with someone else. :)
Faber is such a good professor. I hated chemistry, but he made it interesting. He's funny and so smart. I definitely recommend him.
I loved professor Faber! He is hilarious and smart and helpful!! Mr. Faber made me actually like chemistry!
One of the best professors I've had since I've been in college!!!!!
I absolutely LOVED Professor Faber! Hands down, the best professor I've had so far at GRCC. I had him for Chem 130. I hate Chemistry, but he made it fun and easy to understand. I did struggle with the material at times, but he was super helpful and genuinely cared about me wanting to do well in his class. Highly recommend, 10/10.
The best Professor ever. The class is not easy, but he explain really well and make the lecture fun, he is friendly and enthusiastic. One quiz every week fairly easy. Test have the usual difficulty. Overall great Prof to learn Chemistry
I really enjoyed class with Prof Faber. There were never any surprises which I appreciated - always had quizzes and tests on scheduled days. The tests were reasonable, doing homework is important and studying is essential. He was always willing to help. He also always gave us some encouraging words before quizzes/tests - shows that he really cares!
Prof. Faber is hands down one of the best professors I've ever had. He explains every chapter in detail and tosses in a lot of humor so it's never really boring. The homework load didn't feel overwhelming since we had a lot of time to do it and the tests were relatively straightforward. Would definitely take him again!
Professor Faber was by far my favorite professor. He was super helpful all around; responding to emails, staying after class to make sure you understood confusing concepts. We had a homework assignment due each week, and 2 journal articles & he wasn't a tough grader on either. Professor Faber was very approachable and caring.
not bad
awesome
Professor Faber is amazing. This is the first science class I have taken that was not in my native language. And honestly, it was very hard. However, I have learned more in this class than any other class. He will take his time to explain every little bit to you, and his lectures are so funny. I would def recommend him.
Professor Faber is a great guy! Very funny, he makes a lot of corny chemistry jokes. I've never been one to understand chemistry, so if this is you, take him! He explains everything very well and makes class interesting.
By far one of the best teachers I've had at cc. Quiz at the beginning of every week. Lecture heavy, but makes the lecture as he goes so it is very interesting. Tests are all short answer and problem solving, no multiple choice. Very funny and well respected, i suggests him if you want a good grade, just make sure you pay attention and participate.
best of the best
Prof Faber is awesome. It had been a few years since I took Gen Chem 1 and 2, so my chemistry was REALLY rusty. He explained things really well, and the tests reflected what was taught in class. There is quite a bit of homework, and you really need to study outside of class to get a good grade. Also, he has the best dad jokes.
Great professor! In the past I have really struggled with Chemistry, but Professor Faber really explains things in a way that I can understand them and succeed. Not only that, but he really has your best interest in mind. Is very open to helping you if you're struggling. Probably one of the best professors I have ever had in my college experience.
He makes the best dad jokes and regularly draws application to what we're learning so you grasp a concept vs. just memorizing stuff. His tests are exactly what we go over in the notes and he isn't a super tough grader. Had him for lab too and he made it simple instead of requiring extra work for the lab like other instructors.
Wonderful teacher, always ready to help and explain
I loved CHM 230 +231 with Faber! I don't consider myself a chemistry person, but I genuinely loved this class and learned so much. If you study your notes, you will do well. At least scan the book, too! He had a quiz or an exam each Tuesday, so I spent every weekend studying for one of the two.
Easily top 5 of the best professors I have ever had, he is absolutely amazing and is exactly what a professor should be. He's hilarious, very caring and will always help you out! Also has the funniest dad jokes!!
Absolutely love Professor Faber. He thoroughly explains all of the material and answers any questions you make have. There is homework assigned due before each test, however, it helps you prepare. Be sure to look over ALL of the notes before tests and quizzes! Awesome class.
Great lectures. Helpful responses and always available for help. Tests are all written without multiple choice, however really helps you understand the material. Loved this class! It was super entertaining and Faber really does care about his students and want them to succeed.
Great written lectures. Quizzes and tests come from the homework and lectures. Really helpful when answering questions.
Professor Faber was one of the best professors I've ever had. I really enjoyed his lectures: he always finds some weird and hilarious way to make you remember the obscure details. No multiple choice on tests, but he won me over in that area: the tests are not hard to pass if you pay attention in class. Homework and article reviews graded 100% or 0.
Most (if not all) test/quiz questions came directly from notes. Not mandatory to read textbook to get an A, but I found it incredibly helpful to find different practice problems/clarify concepts (also, its free, so why not). Anywho, Faber is the bomb .com- very kind, encouraging, and willing to help. This dude knows what's up. Would recommend.
He cares about his student, he would post videos on how to solve HW problems. He would write out the notes and examples problems so you would know what to expect from the test and quizzes. He would sometimes do a small class experiment to keep the lecture interesting. It's an easy A if you do the work if you put in the effort to do HW and listen.
(Lab Class) He is very caring, funny, outgoing & easy to talk to. Labs are easy & straight forward. Some of them can be completed before class. He gives a quiz before every class & they're based on the lab you do in class that day. So make sure to read the lab before going to class. Once you completed the lab you can leave early. Highly recommend!
He is one of the best profs I have had and is easy to talk ti. If you do your work, you will be fine!
Prof Faber is a very caring and personable professor, which is why I liked his class. The course load however felt crazy. Exams biweekly with a quiz on the off-weeks. Exams were written answers and quite tough. If he wasnt so wonderful, I would say avoid his class, but he really is a great teacher.
He really wants you to be able to understand the information that he teaches and is more than willing to talk to you after class about it. Made it so it was easy to understand some of the harder topics, especially during a 7 week period. I would highly recommend!
If you have a chance to...take professor Faber! He is a legend! So nice, caring, and funny. He understand chemistry is a difficult subject. He throughly explains concepts and all notes are written. Do the homework (which is not a lot), review the notes, and pay attention in lecture and you'll be all set. No surprises on exams + offers extra credit!
Professor Faber cared for each and every student. He helped out and was very flexible with students who might have missed a test or quiz. He especially was helpful when I was sick the day of the Final and easily rescheduled it with me. I really encourage anyone to have him as your professor
Professor Faber is a good person. However I found his lectures to be confusing. He talks fast and it can be hard to keep up. Their is a quiz every Monday. I found his tests to be tougher than other chemistry professors as he writes all of his own questions and a lot of them are worded poorly.
Lectures are applicable and exams are given every 2 weeks, fresh memories help! Slicing material def helps in acing the exam. We have a lot of exams but it means when you make mistake, you can redeem on the next exam! He gives engaging lecture with lots of side stories.
Bill does a great job breaking down chemistry for anyone to learn it. I failed chemistry twice before taking Bills class. He supplies a link to a book for homework which is optional. He doesn't use alot of algebra and is a fair grader. Very easy to talk to and approachable. Bills wife is a nurse and understands the needs for medical students.
Great professor! Chemistry is hard but he was so willing to work with you! A lot of his exam questions are from the do homework. Do your homework. Communicate with Professor as much as you can so he knows that you are trying. Lecture heavy but take notes and ask questions. The class is difficult and they are points where you won't understand.
Truly cares about his students. Definitely not a class that you can skate by in; you need to do the work to do well.
CHM140 Lecture - Faber is very good at breaking down hard subjects to get you to understand the criteria. He does use a book but provides a link making it free. He has quizzes every other week but they're easy if you know the material. For exams he provides you with a study guide and other resources that prepare you very well for the exams.
As a first-year college student, Mr. Faber was my first in-person contact with a professor, and I don't think I would have had it any other way! Quiz and test dates were clearly stated, notes were handwritten, delivered great and applicable lectures, and there were plenty of resources for quiz and exam studying.
He is the greatest professor you can take for chem he literally cares about what you are taking and if you do not get it, he will go over it again, he is very funny and makes the class enjoyable if you have to take 130 take him even wait for a spot if the seats are all taken
the goat, lowkey looks like brad pitt
Professor Faber is a caring, funny, and flexible instructor. Chemistry can be difficult, but his lectures, homework help, and use of Unstuck AI make the class manageable. Attend class, do the work, and you'll ace it.
Prof. Faber is amazing! He is 100 percent the best chemistry professor at GRCC, and all of my peers have said the same. He is truly caring and will ensure you understand the material and feel confident in your skills. Lectures are interesting and funny, and you find many ways to apply what you've learned daily. I will always recommend him!
He is a terrific and approachable teacher, especially if you are not the best at chemistry; he is great at explaining. However, he expects that you will give the same time back to him; if you do the homework and reading, you will be great and understand the class.
Prof. Faber is by far the best chemistry prof at cc. He truly puts in a lot of effort to make lectures interesting, and understands gen chem is just another hurdle. The homework is very accurate to the quizzes and exams, and he gives a fair amount of extra credit. As long as you show up, do the homework, and study, you'll ace his courses!
very nice professor, when I asked for help, he would explain the assignments with more details and even help you step by step. attendance is mandatory since it's a lab class he allows us to take our labs home to finish discussions and finish our data.
very hands on but also lets you figure things out yourself. lab was fun, as long as you showed up and tried
Amazing professor!!!! Will help you out in lab any time you are feeling confused. Makes lab enjoyable, fun, and helps you understand material very clearly.
Very straight forward with expectations. There was 13 lab reports (15 points each), 13 prelabs (5 points each), and a final lab exam (40 points). We did not have a midterm. Your lowest lab and prelab gets dropped, and if you pay attention and follow lab instructions it is very possible to get an A. He will answer any questions. Definitely recommend
Great professor and great guy. Genuinely tries to help when needed, and answers questions very concisely. Makes attempts at making all classes more entertaining. Just make sure you do your prelab before getting to class, and finish the labs. Definitely would take another of his classes.
My favorite professor my first semester of college. He is so funny and helpful. Sometimes he was so chill I felt bad for asking questions bc then it felt like "duh". He wants you to succeed. The way he explained things honestly helped me pass my chem lecture, which did not have a chill prof.
