I hate science classes, but this one wasn't bad. If you go to class and give a little effort you'll get an A. There is no homework and he gives extra credit in-class assignments, so if you go to class, you'll be rewarded for it. the test aren't that bad and he drops the lowest grade. all in all, i would take this professor again if i could.

It's hard to get to know Mr. Garcia personally, since Geology classes usually have about 200 students in them, but he was a really good teacher. He does give lots of notes; if you go to class and take good notes, you can pass with a C. If you take a few hours to actually study, it's easy to make A's. The best advice here is to not skip class.

Garcia is very educated in the subject and makes the class interactive so you will actually learn. There are lots of in class assignments so you will have to go to class. The tests were take home, but he is a tough grader so you have to try to get an A.

I really like his teaching style of some lecture followed by a handout. if you pay attention and so the handouts you will be fine and can pass pretty easy.

He wasn't bad but he wasn't great. Garcia can be pretty condescending sometimes but his class is pretty easy; just make sure you don't miss any of his classes. He is very honest about what's going to be on the quizzes and the actual exams are take-home, so not too rough.

He was knowledgeable and had a lot to share. Definitely try not to come in late, but if you do, try not to walk too close to him; otherwise, he will get annoyed and call you out in front of the class. Weekly homework assignments were easy. Does presentation first half, then handouts second half. Overall good, easy gen ed class.

Mr. Garcia is definitely one of my favorite teachers. He is funny and uses SO many food analogies. Although the course material is difficult, he gives plenty of practice work that aids in understanding. If you show up to class and pay attention you are sure to do well and if you do those things and still struggle he is always happy to assist.

He is a good professor, and I enjoyed taking Biogeography with him. He can be a tough grader and he nitpicks. The only negative is that his handwriting is awful to the point where it is almost impossible to read his comments on assignments.

Most labs are difficult (especially if you do not remember the material from the geology class with no lab). He grades tough and attendance for every class is taken.

You basically are teaching yourself and being quizzed off of it. It's a struggle because you don't know what areas you actually need help in when all your doing is taking notes and not doing anything challenging throughout the course to see what areas you don't understand. He is a tough grader and very specific about his work.

I really like him as a teacher! He teaches hard material and often has you work on packets (can be writing heavy for an earth science class). He is interesting to listen to and you can tell how passionate he is. If you are interested in the course subject, you'll probably like him.

As long as you attend his lectures, you will grasp a good understanding of the material on exams. Attendance is mandatory. The in-class assignments have a decent impact on your grade. He is very particular about his grading and I agree that he gets nit picky about certain things. He is a funny guy though, and is an overall great professor.
