Long lectures. Gives a test packet of like 10 questions chooses about 8, and you choose like 4 or 5 to write about. Use book to back up long sometimes boring lectures about govt. I would recommend shorter classes. Not very hard just do the lil'bit of work

This class is so easy and fun. You barley do any assimegnts. Just answer the questons on the packet he gives you and you will know the anwers to the test. Sure govt is boring but he makes it interesting. If you want an automatic A take his class!

If you want an easy A, this is the class to take. He practicly gives you the test when he gives you a packet of study questions to answer when you read the book. Do the questions, go over your answer with him and just memorize what you wrote.

Can't say that he is an easy professor, one still has to study. His lectures are clear and easy to follow, and he doesn't mind to help. He didn't asked to know the dates, he cared more about the student's inderstanding of the theory.Ihighly recommend him.

I like this class a lot. If you're not big into homework, take him. He assigns 3 Case Studies, but they are easy. His tests are easy if you study the notes he writes on the board. Don't expect to leave early. You won't be watching the clock, he's really funny and makes the lectures interesting.

Great teacher! He is very easy going and relaxed. He teaches and writes notes on the board based on the exact questions that he asks on the essay tests. Just write down what he writes on the board and study from that--you will do fine. He grades fairly and is not hard on the eyes. I never expected to enjoy the class, but I did.

Great teacher, and i mean that in the greatest since of the word. I learned a lot of vaulable lessons that can be used through the rest of my life. Very funny guy; he kept the mood light and related the materiel to modern day life.

Dr. Geeslin is one of the best teachers that valencia has to offer. He knows his materials and knows how to teach it. I took him during the summer and was glad that i did. Whatever he writes on the board will be on the test. I WOULD RECOMMEND PEOPLE TO TAKE HIS CLASS. if you have any questions he'll answer it, but his lectures are quite long!!!!!!

he's actually pretty interesting. knows his stuff and gets right to his points. within his lecturing he likes to get off topic and just conversate with the class which is pretty cool. easy class but it's still college so expect to study... overall... He's pretty good looking =)

Dr. Geeslin is a pretty good professor. His lectures are long, but luckily he breaks it down so the "average" American can understand it. Be sure to grab a latte before class, cause you're in for a ride. If you have a short attention span, I'd advise against taking him. All in all, his class was not too difficult.

Geeslin's a good guy...his lectures are extremely boring, and that's all he does, but as long as you wrtie down everything puts on the board and study that for the test, you're set. his study guides are EXACTLY what's on the tests. Article summaries are a pain but easy. for easy gov't credit, take it.

Even a guy like me who has no interest in US government and a lesser attention span after an hour or so of lecturing, I got a B from him. This is after a 3 year break from college. Tough on grading (article reviews must mention in detail what is covered in class and text, especially how it relates.) Same with tests. Very humorous teacher. Go For it

His class was like US Government for Dummies. I loved it. 3 tests and 2 article reviews. He gives you a page with about 10 questions, he reviews them in detail (so take GOOD notes) and then you're tested on 4 of them at random. He made government interesting, which I thought was impossible. Don't buy the book, you wont use it.

EXTREMELY INFORMATIVE. I had no idea politics were intresting, or didn't care enough to know. Take through notes and make sure you attend every class. The test are exact copies of the notes. Easy "A" if you study!

He is a cool layed back guy. Very clear when lecturing and really helps students to understand politics. There will be a good amount of notes. When the tests come, he always gives you options as to which problems you will solve. If there are 7 problems, he might let you choose any 3. Take notes and study for 10 minutes, you'll get an A or B.

Starts off with court cases, which is really dull. Also, allows way too much in class debate over instruction. But laid back and really nice!

This is probably one of the best professors I've ever had. This guy can talk, his lectures are loooong but you really learn a lot, he is funny and makes every topic very simple and interesting. A little intimadating at first, knew nothing about politics but it came to be a really interesting class. Two literary reviews and two tests..he dropped the lowest grade and i ended the semester with a 98! yay!

Super easy class! Geeslin is a great teacher and funny. Not necessary to buy the book, I never used it. Tests were given study guides and all the answers were in the notes, which is why I didn't need the book. Classes can get boring since it's always notes/lectures but he throws his jokes in there to keep people interested.

I took his class one day a week for this Spring 2010. He talks too much, it gets to a point where you loose him. But is ok, just do the work and you will de good. He requires 2 article summary and analysis, 3 test and he ives you a review before so study whats on the review and you will do excellent on the tests. He knows what he is teaching!!

You wil do fine in this class if you enjoy LONG lectures from the second class starts to the second it ends. I know i didn't but still did exceptionally well in his class. He knows everything about EVERYTHING when it comes to U.S. Government. All he expects you to do is complete 3 test & 2 article reviews.LONG assignments but very few. Great teach.

Good class if you like lectures and don?t mind doing several writing assignments. I took the hybrid class were you had to complete seven essays ranging from 400 to 1400 words each, one case study and one article review. There is a lot of writing involved for this class but it?s not a hard class to pass and the tests were pretty easy.Good teacher.

He talks a lot but he explains everything in a way to where anyone can understand it. He chimes in with a few jokes here and there to keep your attention. Five grades in the class: three tests (including the final exam) and two article reviews. He gives you the questions to the test and e-mails the answers. Easy A. Plus, he's pretty hot!

Semi-difficult class, but an A is attainable. 50% of your grade is the midterm and final, 40% off of three writing assignments (2 article reviews, 1 case study) and 10% off of attendance, so don't skip class. Use the book for the article reviews and use his notes for the exams (I put all the notes on flash cards to study and got As on both exams)

Took american govt. and it was a hard class but very useful. He is a doctor and very smart, tests are fair but a lot to memorize. I got an A but i studied a lot. Worth it tough. I would take him again.

Funniest professor ever. He has a great personality and is extremely nice. He's a doctor so he knows what he's talking about. The class is kind of hard considering there's only 4 grades. 2 tests, 1 case study, and 1 article. If you study alot and do your work, you will get an A.

I took him for hybrid, he was awesome and i enjoyed having him. He's extremely intelligent, especially in political science. He gives VERY good notes, and gives them to you before his lectures. So show up, do your work and you will pass. Whoever says he doesn't respond to emails is not true. His work is challenging, but hes very fair.

Fairly easy class. He has boring lectures but knows his material. I would only suggest him if you registered late for classes and the good profs were taken. It's very easy to get an A. There are 2 tests and 4 essays total.

Most of your grade comes from 3 different papers and a few tests. Nothing was very hard, but I got a B on every single thing in class. Nice guy, pretty funny. He'll talk the ENTIRE class period so be prepared for that, but he emails exactly what he talks about every week. Study that and you're fine. Final was 3 essay questions.

LOVED Dr. Geelsin. I took him at night and was supposed to be out at 10 and was worried for the long lectures. Yes, he is a talker but he tried to get everyone out early and was successful. Read his notes and take some of your own and you'll pass! You won't regret taking him!

Hes honestly one of the best professors Ive had. If you dont know something, hes there to teach and he teaches in a way thats just interactive enough that its not annoying. I hate government, but he makes it really enjoyable. 10/10 would recommend.
