He is a very interesting and keeps students attention in class, however the way he acts and grades does depend on the mood that he is in at that moment and there is defiantly a huge range. For WR99 he seems to grade harder then others so if english isn't your best subject, start out with anohter teacher

Kind of overrated. His classes are fun to go to but he's kind of obsessed with himself. agree with what he says and stay on his good side or he'll say "you have no heart." he's clear with what he wants though and if you get a bad grade ask him to clarify how to improve it (he wont really do a good job) but your grade will improve on the rewrite

He was genuinely one of the most arrogant professors Ive ever had at BU to the point I still think about it two years later. He liked my writing and I did very well in the class without trying hard but he literally made us read his writing and critique it in front of him and then tell us about how proud of his work and how successful he is.

Giraldi is a great professor who really cares about his students. He is responsive to questions and gives very good feedback. My only complaint is that you dont get feedback on your rough draft unless you specifically seek it out. Be prepared to participate in class but he wont specifically call you out.

Professor Girlaid is one of the most geniune professors I have had at BU. He is exptremely understanding, and he really made sure to be flexible considering the hard times everyone were going through during Spring 2020. He appreciates participation and will give feedback if you ask. I enjoyed reading his book, and the memoirs are good reads.

PG is a great writing professor. He's very understanding and respects everyone's opinions. Be ready to read about 50 pages a day for novels. He doesn't use Blackboard so attendance and class participation is important. Not an easy or a tough grader. Papers have no drafts deadlines but gives great feedback if you mail him to ask anything.

He is a nice man who tries his hardest for making his class enjoyable. Homework consists of reading and you discuss the reading in class. The books you read are enjoyable and you may not realize you are reading 50 pages a day. For our papers, he gives us the proper resources to succeed. His criteria may be inconsistent, but he gives good feedback.

PG is a great guy. He's really passionate about what he does and genuinely cares about the success of his students. Admittedly, I was intimidated by the syllabus and the amount of reading, but I found it wasn't hard to manage at all (that's coming from a slow reader). If you're good at writing, you will have no trouble in this class.

I enjoyed taking the WR150 The Memoir class with him. He's very inspirational and is very straightforward with what he wants his students to write. Make sure to follow the syllabus, participate in class, read the memoirs, and hand in your essays on time. He grades the Essays based on your writing and effort in the class. I'm glad I took his class.

GREAT person and Prof. actually wants you to succeed, but also has high expectations despite being a WR150 class. I took it as a HUB, but kind of regret it w/ how much work is involved. 2 5-minute presentations, 2 8-page papers, 2 200-300 pg. books, a good amount of in-class discussion/participation. would rec. only if u actually want to learn.
