he's the best!! He is the only psych proff I will take at NCC. His class is easy but that's just because he explains things so completely. He is very approachable for extra help too,ie; returns calls and emails ASAP. Take Dr. G's class!

he has the experience and the stories to back up what he teaches

GREAT teacher. He breaks up the class with personal stories and applys them to the material. Tests aren't difficult, totally based on notes, so take good ones.

Taking good notes is essential to success in Grodman's classes. He is a great teacher because of his fun loving nature, personal stories, and love for his students. Professor Grodman is understanding of his students and will always be fair.

This teacher is a good teacher but sometimes gets very carried away with his stories and gets distracted from the lesson. which would make me dread the class sometimes. but overall, it's pretty easy and just listen to what will be on the test. he also had jeopardy games in class for extra credit!

Grodman is a great teacher. He has a natural love for the subject & his students. He always has a great humor about himself. He shares many of his stories of real life experiences on or not on subject. His notes are key to his exams (copy off the board). He assigns one 3-5 research paper of a topic of your choice & is a very easy grader. Fun Class1

Grodman is a good teacher, gets carried away sometimes which makes it a little boring, but other than that, i recommend you take him as a professor.

Prof. Grodman is a good teacher. I took his class my first semester. Tests were easy (straight from the notes off the board!), and was a easy grader for the research paper that had to be done. Would definitely recommend him.

An excellant and easy professor as well as a nice guy. Only negative is you have to do one long paper for him but he is an easy grader and gives lots of extra credit plus there are only 3 EASY tests plus the paper. A great all around professor =)

Oh I love this man! He is just great. What a nice and enthusiastic teacher! I never thought I would like PSY but now I do. He is fair and gives you enough time to write the one paper due in that class, also there are three tests, but if you take good notes you will be just fine!!!

Mr. Grodman is a very nice teacher. He gives you notes, has review days for upcoming tests, and sometimes has Psychology jeopardy to improve your cognitive ability. Highly recommended for Psychology.

Awsome teacher! If you have to take Psych, take him.. Just take notes from the lecture and study those for the test and you will do well. Also, you don't need to read the chapters.

Amazing teacher. He really kept my interest. 3 tests but are really early. One paper due, but gives plenty of time to do it. Real nice and has a great sense of humor. Would highly recommed him and I would definitely take him again.

He was absolutely wonderful. The class was very easy and fun. His lectures are interesting (make sure you take notes). Very little text book use. Tests are all multiple choice.

Awesome professor! I highly recommend him for psychology. He's very nice and understands that students have other courses they're taking. Gives 3 tests, 98% of his tests are from the lectures so pay attention and take good notes, some questions are from the book but majority are from lectures. Also, he gives a lot of extra credit!

He is such a good teacher, his class is very easy because he explains everything and makes his points very clear. I learned a lot and I am not a PSY major. He gives a lot of extra credit which gives the student a chance for a better grade.

Professor Grodman is amazing. I absolutely love being in class. His approach is a bit different: lecture based classes with information written up on the board being your only source of notes. You can read the book if you want, and I do for fun, but it's easy to get A's just by listening. I'm a story kind of person, so this class is great. Relax!:D

He is fun to listen to. Grades very fairly. The class was fun and I went in with no prior interest. It was really interesting. Also fairly easy and he gives you a lot of chances for extra credit. He is a winner. :)

Really wants to help his students do well and help them learn. Class was always interesting and though his anecdotes sometimes seemed unrealated and not very useful, they were always entertaining and did often contain helpful information.

He is a really really easy teacher...and he tells good stories...but there isn't really that much substance to his class. Its pretty much memorizing 20-30 facts and then reciting them on the test. The paper he has you do is graded based upon how many pages you write as opposed to content... Overall...Cool Guy, Easy A, Wish there was content..

Prof. Grodman's classes are some of the most relaxing that I've ever had. I went through the class without reading a single page in the book; just relied on my notes and paid attention during the lectures. Prof. Grodman is always willing to answer questions and offer extra help if you need it. Low level stress class, and an overall good experience.

Awesome teacher, he describes everything really well, always leaves a day to review before tests, and is a fun teacher.

Great professor. tells stories so its easy to remember the lessons and he keeps the lessons interesting even when im trying not to tear the textbook up (textbook not so good).

REALLY fun teacher. He makes class interesting by telling personal stories that relate to the topics... he sure does know some crazy people... but I always looked forward to his stories. Highly recommend!! Will miss this class.

Grodman is a very unique teacher. I enjoyed his class very much and I plan on taking some of the other psychology classes he is teaching. As long as you keep up with notes and the reading there is no reason not to get a good grade.

Very fun teacher, we learned a lot but all was very understandable and helpful, class was always fun to be around, free to express our opinions and a good back and forth between the teacher and the students, Very fun teacher.

Dr. Grodman is a wonderful man! His class was very interesting not only because of the detailed material we covered but also because of his great stories which made my morning! He is super funny and a very calm helpful man! There isn't another professor who is more qualified to teach Abnormal Psychology than Dr. Grodman he is the best of the best!

Prof. Grodman is a good teacher with many interesting anecdotes to tell. His lectures are very informative, and the class was low stress. He gives few homework assignments, but reading the textbook is necessary. He is nice, and also very generous with extra credit. Good class to take to fulfill the liberal arts requirement.

Overall great teacher. He will relate an experience of his to the subject he is teaching that day. You might get bored some days. Just take notes (if you can read his handwriting) and you will pass. Doesn't assign any homework, only read and study for the tests thats it! Worse grade you'll get is a B, guaranteed.

The class was pretty easy or should I say his test were really easy. It will help if you show up in class and take the notes. He does a review before every test which is very helpful. Great guy. I can't imagine why anyone would say he's hard. Easy A.

to get 100 on a test, read notes and BOOK he gives 3-4 extra credit questions on each test without reading chapters from the book, you will pass anyway - 70% comes from notes

Never used the book, only took notes. Three tests plus the Final, all tests were real easy. You take and study your notes, you'll pass the tests. A lot of questions on the tests were duplicate, only reversed. After all, its Psychology so he tries to subliminally stump you. Use your common sense! I got a 'B' only because I studied right b4 tests!

He is an amazing Professor!!!! U would enjoy being in his class. If u pay attention in lecture the exams will be a breeze. I hope u enjoy him as much as I did. I got an A in this class. U need ur textbook to read the chapters at home but it is so interesting you will not be bored. He explains a lot of people's behaviors.

Prof. William Gorman is one of the best professor at Ncc. His lectures are never boring. He is a great professor and he has a lot of knowledge's. I took Psy 111 with him and really enjoyed.

I so enjoyed this class. I learned. My material was interesting and well taught by Professor Grodman. I would highly recommend taking this class.

Mr. Grogman was great ! He gave good notes and gave a lot of extra credit . He only gave 4 test and the only test he didn't give a lot of extra credit was 3rd test and he warned you about it . His lectures were all informative and interesting and the test were based solely upon what he taught.

Great Professor! Lectures are long because he tends to share many stories of his career but very interesting. Expect for professor to be about 10 minutes late every class. other than that, he is great!

Really nice professor. No tricks in his class, he gives it to you straight. Three chapter exams and a paper. No cumulative final. Pay attention to lectures and take good notes and you will easily pass. Tests heavily on lecture not text and are easy. Does reviews. Uses a lot of real life examples and tells stories, lectures are interesting.

Lots of comments on here about Dr. Grodman's teaching style. Personally, I love that he correlates all of his class lectures with his real life experiences with patients. He does not use the book, but provides an ample amount of notes for class, and also hands out review sheets before each exam with exactly what will be on the exam. Great professor

NO Homework !!!, that's just sweet, you better have good memory for the tests though

Professor Grodman is a pleasant guy, who has clear grading as well as easy to follow lectures. 3 tests (more like quizzes) and 1 paper (7-10 pages). He tells a lot of stories, (some which are not relevant) but he always encourages students to speak up in class but does not require it whatsoever. Great professor.

Second time taking Professor Grodman. Solid Teacher. Long stories about personal experiences, but he does good at relating them to curriculum. Definition based. Available office hours and is willing to meet and work problems out. Only extra credit given is what he mentions in class.

Your really only graded on the tests you take. He doesnt make attendance a huge factor in your grade, so basically as long as your following along in the chapter and you know your word definitions your good to pass. He doesnt give out homework & his lectures arent to long he sometimes sticks some of his personal stories in, Incase it gets boring

I had him a few years ago, Amazing teacher multiple choice test, he didnt use the book much. You have to take notes!!!! Very important. There were no papers to write! Very easy going and concise.

Professor Grodman is a great guy. He is engaging,interesting and teaches with such passion. He often uses anecdotes to keep the material exciting. If you study your notes you will pass each test. He doesn't penalize you for attendance but you must show up in order to pass. There is not any homework for this course which is a major plus.

Really nice guy. The class was so easy. Just listen in class and you will do fine. I had the textbook, but it is not necessary. I took it as a winter session, it was a breeze. The tests were so easy. Even if you take it during a regular semester you should be fine. The lectures were kinda long, and he went off on tangents, but it was harmless.

Super sweet professor. All of the tests were easy as long as you pay attention and he really wants everyone to succeed. Very personable guy, I wish he offered more courses because I would love to have him again.

This is a fairly easy course. I took the LRON version. You don't use the book a lot, and are only graded via four tests which he does review sessions for. If you don't pass this class, it's most likely your fault and not the professors IMO.

Awesome Professor! Take him! I took his Psychology class in the spring and the grades are based on four tests, which are all multiple choice. Attending classes would basically consist of lectures preparing you for the tests. Easy and INTERESTING course!

Amazing teacher

this class was so easy but at the same time very interesting and informative. he's a friendly and approachable man who loves to tell real-life stories to make lectures and notetaking more enjoyable. there's no need to purchase the textbook and there is no homework. only three exams and a research paper. i recommend taking this class 100%.

Great professor!! Hands down the easiest class I've ever taken, lots of talking. He got a majority of the class to participate effortlessly. Dont bother getting the book i barely used it.

Definately recommend taking Professor Grodman as he's an absolutely friendly and supportive man who cares about his students and wants them to succeed. He gives real life examples so that students can understand the course more better. Professor Grodman also has lectures which are very easy and help student prepare for their tests in the semester.

Professor Grodman is an awesome professor! I've taken his psychology 1 and abnormal psychology class and they were not only easy to pass with a high grade, but super enjoyable. Professor Grodman's lectures are genuinely interesting to listen to, most of his tests are trivia, and he offers extra credit on each test. HIGHLY recommend him!

I took this professor online, and he seemed good. He provided us with information and resources to help us learn more. And when I got confused about something and sent him an email, he responded pretty quickly.

He was a really good professor. He gives a lot of extra credit opportunities, however, can get a bit “yappy” during lectures, but they were still interesting. Passing this class is very easy and you barely need a textbook. I would recommend to attend class but he is not super strict about it. If you study your notes, you will do well.

Professor Grodman is the best! His lectures were a perfect mix of engaging and informative. The class is easy, but you still learn a lot. The environment and format of his class helped me genuinely absorb the material he taught. I took his General Psychology class and now I'm registered for his Abnormal Psychology class for the spring semester.

He is the absolute best. I would take him a million times more, if he taught different subjects. Always has funny anecdotes, always smiling, extremely kind and patient. This class has lots of info, and he makes the content digestible so that's a plus. I recommend him over anyone in the psych department!!

I loved this class and am planning on taking another one of his classes next semester. His lectures are always really entertaining to listen to, and he presents the material in a very easy way to understand, plus he gives extra credit to every test. Though your grades are 4 tests. And he takes attendance through a sign in sheet.
