Dr. Hart is awesome! My favorite psychology class so far. He makes the class really interesting and you can tell he loves his job. Tests aren't hard if you attend class and study. Not a bad class at all. Take him!

He is a fun, enthusiastic teacher who knows his stuff, but the majority of your grade comes from the tests which have been difficult so far. Not a good GPA booster for an honors class..

I loved this class! Dr. Hart is a really great, engaging professor who really cares about presenting a dialogue to the class and having us use the information in the real world. He's always available outside of class and by email. Attendance isn't mandatory but he presents select notes in class and then makes test quetsions out of them.

TAKE THIS CLASS! He is absolutely hilarious, and he gets the class really involved in the lecture. You will love going to this class, even though attendance isn't mandatory. He gives examples that make sense, is very accessible, and his tests aren't bad if you study and read the textbook. He will help you understand anything if you just ask.

BEST CLASS I HAVE TAKEN AT BAMA- such an interesting teacher and an extremely interesting class. Its not an easy A but its not a class you hate or struggle studying for. I have a 3.8 GPA and made a B-B+ in his class. TAKE HIM

This class was a butt kicker, but it was interesting enough to be worth it! He's a great professor, has an awesome and expressive accent too. The tests are pretty rough so make sure you study a lot from the book and understand concepts.

SO interesting! Dr. Hart is energetic and keeps students engaged. Only three tests and two EASY reaction papers. Lower # of grades makes the class more difficult than others--not much chance to raise grade if you do badly on test. I definitely recommend the class to anyone! Very interesting! Dr. Hart is a phenomenal teacher! This is definitely one of the most interesting classes I've had. You will want to go every day. The only bad thing is there is a low # for grades making it hard to pull up if you didn't do so well on a test. I recommend this class to anyone. It is very interactive. If you are respectful to him he will be to you.

Awesome teacher, awesome class. You will often find yourself laughing at Dr. Hart (in a good way). If you need a PY credit, take him! As with all PY classes, there are tons of notes. Just study the PP slides and you will do fine.

Super interesting class and Hart makes it that much more interesting. He is a very funny guy and all of his examples are relatable. Class is not mandatory but I recommend going because he does not put his full notes online. There are only three tests and two short reaction papers.

Seriously favorite professor at UA. Never skipped class because he makes his lectures SO interesting and funny. (and I had a massive crush on the guy..). The only downside was that there aren't too many grades, but the the tests weren't particularly hard and the reaction papers are EASY grade boosters. take advantage. take him, he'll make your day!

Hands down, Dr. Hart is the best professor I've had at UA. His lectures are engaging and easy to follow along with, and he gives his students everything they need to do well in the class. He suggests reading the book for his exams, but I got high As on them by actively listening in class and reviewing my notes. I highly recommend this class!!

Dr. Hart is a very good teacher and his class is very interesting, but his tests are extremely difficult. especially if you miss class. Also, there are only three tests in his class and only two assigned papers that are really short, so those are the only way to earn points. And, not to mention, his grading scale absolutely sucks.

He's one of the best professors I've had. Lectures are optional but the notes he posts online are incomplete and he's so entertaining it's worth going. There's lots of great class discussion during lectures. He posts study guides so just know each term and skim the vocab in the book and the multiple-choice tests will be a breeze. Must take!

Dr. Hart is easily one of the best professors at Alabama. I would take this class again every semester if I could. If you listen to what he says on how to make a good grade, you will. The tests are simple, the information you need to learn is easy to retain if you come to class.

His lectures are a ton of fun- he makes the information enjoyable to learn. Participation in class will really help your experience and help you learn the information better. He gets test questions straight from the book, so be sure to read. The tests are super easy and straight-forward. He's always available and happy to help in office hours.

You really have to go to lectures to pass this class, but I'd have gone regardless. He's a great lecturer, keeps it interesting, and tells awful but hilarious jokes. Tests are harder than you'd expect!

Best teacher I have ever had and I am in my junior year. He is so funny and makes the topics interesting by relating them to your life in very funny ways. He is very helpful if you have questions and responds quickly. You do two very short, one page reaction papers. Only two tests and a final. Never gives homework!

Dr. Hart was a great teacher. His lectures were never boring. Your grade comes from 3 exams and 2 short papers. If you go to class, take notes and do the study guides he gives for each test you will do fine.

I absolutely LOVED Dr. Hart and I think students of all majors would love and benefit from his social psych class. Attendance isn't mandatory, but his lectures are fun and engaging, and even w/ 200 students he allows a lot of student participation. I tried to never miss. Just use the study guides and come to class and you can definitely earn an A!

Dr. Hart was great. He's tests are tough. but if you spend time studying you'll be fine. He always gives a free answer on each test. He's hilarious and engaging, allowing for a lot of class discussion. He uses funny videos in his lectures. He has a very severe electronics policy, and will take five points off your grade if you use them.

Dr. Hart was by far my favorite professor I've had at UA. He is extremely charismatic and knowledgeable of the subject material. The course is endlessly interesting, and he tells lots of jokes and stories to help you learn. Tons of note-taking, but I never skipped class because he made you want to be there. 10/10, would definitely recommend.

Dr. Hart is an excellent professor for any class, but he was especially great in my Social Psych. class of 200+ people. He is very respectful of students and makes dry subject material interesting and applicable to your life. The reaction papers are a breeze (don't stress!) and actually pretty enjoyable to write. I had fun!

Dr. Hart is phenomenal. Clear expectations and is great at keeping your attention. He's so much fun. Yes, you actually have to DO something to earn your grade, but if you come to class, engage in the lecture, do the book readings, and study for tests (he gives study guides), you'll come out with an A. It's not hard with a little effort.

Best professor I've had at UA. You have to work for your grade but he gives you study guides and was very approachable when I asked questions. His lectures were HILARIOUS and made going to class so easy even though he doesn't take attendance. Take him!!

Great lectures. Had a youtube video ready for basically every topic which helped me remember everything. Be ready for the tests because you don't get a drop and each test is worth 1/3 of your grade, but really cool guy and took interest in all of his students.

By far my favorite professor I've ever had at UA. I wish he taught more classes because I would take every psychology class he offered. This is the ONE class I actually look forward to attending every week. He makes it so interested and relatable. He also is very interesting to listen to and has class discussions after every topic.

Dr. Hart was definitely the best professor I have had at UA. His hour and 15 min lectures feel like they're 10 mins because he keeps it interesting the entire time. He makes every topic relatable and he's hilarious. There's barely any homework in the class so if you study for the tests you'll do well. Highly recommend taking his class!

He's amazing. He is funny and inspirational, and I was actually sad every time class ended. I don't know if I've ever enjoyed going to a class as much as I have this one. The tests are pretty easy. Just make sure you keep track of when tests are and when the reaction papers are due because he won't remind you.

Although he was a really nice guy, lectures were always interesting and engaging. There was just way too much information and notes for each test and lecture. There was so much material for one test its hard to retain the information and know what to study. The tests were extremely hard and confusing and they are most of your grade.

Dr. Hart makes getting up for a 9 am worth it. His lectures are entertaining, and regardless of whether or not you need the course for credit, you will get something out of it.

Dr. Hart is an amazing and interesting lecturer that actually made me love going to class. Pay attention, maybe do the readings, and you should do pretty well on the tests. Make sure to read the syllabus carefully, he does not remind you of deadlines and he hates electronics.

Being someone who rarely goes to lecture classes and can't stand listening to someone just talk for hours, I actually LOVED Dr. Hart's lectures. He makes them interesting by making jokes and constantly changing his tone of voice. Even though attendance isn't mandatory for his classes, PY 372 was so fun to go to if Dr. Hart was lecturing.

Dr. Hart is one of my favorite professors. He makes class incredibly entertaining, but also informative. There are only three tests and two papers. However, the papers are not worth much, so most of your grade is based on the tests. Fortunately, the tests are not difficult if you show up to class and pay attention.

There are very few assignments. Three mild exams, two short papers. He does give study guides. Though attendance is not mandatory, you need to go to get the notes. Lectures are really simple, and he is very thorough. Forget about being let out early, but the lectures make time go by very fast. He is a wonderful teacher, and I really enjoyed class.

His social cognition class is one of the most valuable I've taken at UA. He gives great lectures and clearly knows what he's talking about. He's also great at explaining complex subjects without just dumbing them down. You won't get an A by just memorizing for his class, you have to understand the concepts, but his lectures make that very doable.

If I could, I would listen to this man talk for hours. Hes seriously the best lecturer Ive ever had. I WANTED to go to class just because of how interesting he made it. Dr. Hart is a very smart professor. He makes sure there are no distractions in his classroom as he makes students put away all electronics and write their notes. He is funny and interesting to watch and listen to... However, I think I will be getting a B or B- in this course because it is basically only 3 tests worth 40 points and 2 papers worth 5.

dr. hart is a great professor! he knows his stuff and makes class very interesting! however, there are only 3 tests and 2 papers that determine your whole grade. material is very useful in everyday life, just beware that your entire grade is determined by only 5 assignments! attendance is optional, but it was honestly fun to go to class anyway!

Professor Hart told everyone at the beginning of the year exactly what we have to do in order to get an A in this class and he told us how we only have a limited amount of points in the class. If you listen to him and buckle down to get good grades on the few assignments, you will be good. The people that do not like him did not listen to him.

He was very clear with the grading criteria I just feel like he shouldve potentially made the papers worth more to play more of an impact on our grade especially if our grade is just 3 60 point tests

Dr. Hart used the entirety of the lecture time, but it was necessary as everything from the lectures is included in the 3 tests that make up 180/190 course points. If you actually listen to the lectures and study for tests you will do well.

I loved him. Super charismatic and made class so fun and interesting. There are very few grades, and the 3 tests are most of your grade; but if you take notes in class (or watch the recorded lectures on Blackboard), you will do just fine. I learned a lot of interesting things and will miss this class. Textbook wasn't too necessary.
